PikaGod: Being slightly confused by the mans statement, and not really having anything better to do at this moment in time, you reach for your backpack, and begin to unzip it, looking inside for anything that was different to what it was before. Rummaging inside, you find yourself strangely surprised when you find a piece of paper not inside there before as far as you were aware. It was written in the same style as the other piece of paper, which meant it most likely was another riddle, and as Darren noticed that you had it, he quickly grabbed it and began to read it out loud, clearly enough so that he could hear and understand it fully, as could you. “Ahem.” He began:

“ Well done young trainers, now for the next clue
Don’t worry, it’s easy, I assure you
Just walk ten trees forwards, and five to the right
And be warned, for it’s bark is much nicer than bite.”

Silence was held for a few seconds as Darren stared down at the piece of paper, apparently completely confused by the message contained. He finally looked up at you, smiled slightly, and said “Well then. I assume that it will be from this point, seeing as it’s fairly clearing like, and this Riddle seems to know what he’s doing, so we better get going, right?” You nod, seeing as there’s nothing much else you could do right now, and regardless of how much you personally like the guy, you still wouldn’t want his Pokemon, or any Pokemon for that matter to die. You follow as Darren counts the trees, walking in a pace so as not to overtake him, yet not to be left behind. Dot flies along side you, as confused as you in all this, but still happy to be moving again, flying in and out and round of trees, smiling to you as she passed. You soon reach the tenth tree, and turn right, heading along five. You’d expect you would be able to see what you were heading towards by now, but the heavy vegetation of the area was blocking the sight, and you supposed Riddle may have planned it this way, so it truly was a surprise. Eventually, you reach the location you’re looking for, and find out what it is that Riddle has sent you here to see. In front of you, what you assume is a Pokemon was sleeping on the ground, in a bundle like position and apparently not realising you had arrived yet. You look down at it, and then check your Pokedex, finding the Pokemon to be a Carnivine. You look at with curiosity, wondering why it hasn’t noticed you, as Darren, seemingly seeing something, walks over to a tree stump and picks up what you identify as another poem. He begins to read it out loud. “Well, this one’s the shortest so far, so…

“Upon saying this poem, it will attack
so I hope you are ready to take all the flack.”

You see Darren murmur what you think is a small swear as the Carnivine suddenly opens its eyes, the word Flack having apparently set it off. The Pokemon quickly extends one of its slippery Vines, aiming a whipping movement at the two of you, who leap out the way as it goes in to repeat the attack, this time skimming Dot, who wasn’t prepared for the attack to come its way. So, perhaps this would turn into an adventure after all, you suppose as you get ready for the oncoming battle.

How do you react?
Not sure what he would find in his bag, Karmas rustled through his backpack. To the trainer's surprise he found something in there that he swore wasn't there beforehand, a piece of paper which had been written on the same way as the paper from before. As soon as Darren realised that Karmas had found a piece of paper, he snatched it out of the bewildered trainer's hands and began to read it out loud.

“ Well done young trainers, now for the next clue
Don’t worry, it’s easy, I assure you
Just walk ten trees forwards, and five to the right
And be warned, for it’s bark is much nicer than bite.”

There was silence as Darren tried to make sense of the riddle. Finally he looked up at Karmas, a small smile on his face.

“Well then. I assume that it will be from this point, seeing as it’s fairly clearing like, and this Riddle seems to know what he’s doing, so we better get going, right?”

Karmas gave a nod, which was really all that he could do for he didn't want any harm to come to Darren's pokemon, or any pokemon for that matter. The trainer followed the detective, who was counting trees, not walking so fast that he overtook Darren but fast enough to not be left behind. Beside the trainer Dot flew, equally as confused as Karmas but at least she was enjoying being able to get out and fly. Soon the trio reached the tenth tree, and they quickly turned right, going down another five trees. Karmas had hoped that he would have been able to see where they were meant to be going by now, but the thick vegetation stopped him from doing so, somehow he thought that it had been a part of Riddle's plan. Eventually they reached their destination and saw what Riddle had wanted them to see. There was a pokemon bundled up on the ground, asleep and apparently it hadn't noticed Karmas, Dot and Darren. As Karmas wondered why the Carnivine (he had quickly popped out his pokedex to check what the pokemon was) hadn't noticed the trio, Darren walked over to a tree stump and picked up what appeared to be another poem and read it out loud.

“Upon saying this poem, it will attack
so I hope you are ready to take all the flack.”

The moment that Darren said 'Flack', Carnivine opened its eyes, and tried to Vine Whip the two trainers, who were able to jump out of its way. It attacked once again, this time going after Dot who wasn't ready for the attack. Dot gave Carnivine a death glare before looking at her trainer, she was ready to show Carnivine who was boss.

"Well looks like this will be an adventure after all," muttered Karmas before he shouted out Dot's orders. "Dot start off with a Supersonic and then use an Ice Punch and follow up with a Silver Wind!"

The Space Path - Please reply in gold

empoleon dynamite: Heaving the semi-conscious baby Lapras onto the shore you can only watch while your Pokémon continue to battle Gyarados. Reaver is quick to speed away from the angry titan, quickly scanning the area for any signs of people in danger, but after seeing none returns to scout the immediate area for Sharpedo who may have been attracted by the scent of the little Lapras' blood. Surely enough, only several metres away, a Sharpedo is looming, and really not wanting to battle two bloodthirsty monsters, Reaver unleashes an underwater Dragon Pulse, the waves of dragon energy driving the monster back - but only temporarily. It's tasted the blood now, and nothing is going to drive it away for as long as it believes there is a tasty meal nearby. It surges forward with Agility, it's fin Slashing Reaver's belly before the seahorse knows what has hit him. Reaver retreats whilst awaiting your next orders, Sharpedo already circling around in preparation for another attack while Kaiomi creates a couple of Double Team clones to keep Gyarados guessing. With three Yanmega buzzing around its head, it's fair to say that Gyarados is a little more than pissed, and roars in fury, unleashing a widespread Hydro Pump, the powerful surge of water spewing forth from the monster's mouth and immediately wiping out one of Kaiomi's clones. Now roaring its triumph, Gyarados is too busy gloating to notice the real Kaiomi moving in and is shocked to feel the Yanmega's stinger penetrate its delicate underbelly. Before Gyarados can react Kaiomi injects a Toxic dose of venom into beast before finding himself submerged as Gyarados crashes its belly down onto the water's surface. Kaiomi's final clone disintegrates and while he's struggling to find his way to the surface finds himself in serious trouble as Gyarados begins to Thrash its massive frame around quite violently in the water.

Reaver is now confronted with two problems; the first being the Sharpedo moving in on him, and the second being that he's helpless to aide his teammate who will surely drown if he can't get the wildly thrashing Gyarados off of him. He starts to spin, building up speed before eventually forming a watery cyclone that he unleashes in the direction of both Pokémon. The Twister whooshes over top of Sharpedo who is sucked up into its funnel before being flung out right into Gyarados' head. The raging beast barely notices though, so caught up in its own wild thrashing that it's barely aware of anything other than its own feral activity. The cyclone keeps moving though, knocking Gyarados about just enough to allow a very drenched Kaiomi to streak out of the water, looking rather bruised and beaten, but determined as ever to teach this beast a lesson or two. Gyarados' wild thrashing is actually helping the toxins in its system to take effect faster, but both Reaver and Kaiomi have their work cut out for them regardless, and with a crowd gathering on the shore to watch the action it seems you have a very large audience to impress. Although you've given up on trying to impress Storm, a little voice in the back of your mind is telling you that this is not only your chance to prove yourself to the stone-faced tour guide, as well as impress a very large audience with your trainer skills, but also to prove to yourself that you can win this despite the fact your Pokémon are up against two lethal enemies...

Shadowshocker: The expression of surprised joy in Froslass' eyes as you walk through the door makes you feel as though you truly are doing a good deed, but something in the flicker of concern that passes over her face in the next instant puts you on immediate alert, giving you the feeling you've just volunteered for a task well beyond your experience. Whether this is the case or not, all you can do is hear her out and take it from there. She smiles at you, an expression of true gratitude, before whispering, "Thank you". After a few moments of silence, Froslass begins to speak, and you listen while she talks.

"As I've explained, many brave men and women who have stumbled upon this castle over the centuries have tried to help Rhianna but all have failed. The Mage of Blackthorn is a very powerful wizard, and you have not yet even scratched the surface of his true power. These illusions he has been throwing at you are nothing but a test, a sick game for his own amusement, but once he knows that you are serious about staying he will become serious also. It's taken many centuries for me to realise that there is nothing we can do to save Rhianna from here, the mage is just too powerful, the only course of action left to take is a tough one, a dangerous one, and a path that not one person has ever agreed to take up..."

Froslass stops speaking for a moment, allowing you to take in what she has just said, although at the moment you're not exactly sure of the point that she is trying to make. Being unable to save Rhianna from here is a little cryptic, but what does Froslass mean by "here"? This castle? This land? This time? This time... Could Froslass possibly be talking of time travel? A tight knot begins to form in your stomach at the implications of what this could possibly mean, but without further clarification it's best not to make any assumptions and so you stay silent, waiting for her to continue.

"The only way in which to help Rhianna is to alter history, and the only way in which to alter history is to return to the past and change the sequence of events which has led to the misery of today. To stop the Duke of Earlwood from killing Drake and imprisoning Rhianna, and to stop the Mage of Blackthorn from harnessing the power that made him immortal and unbeatable. You know enough of Rhianna and Drake's history to know at which points in time they need to move along a different path, but the Mage is a whole other story. He was not this powerful when Drake died, but at some point after this, not long before Rhianna's death, he came upon a mystical object, a sacred tool of the mages, which made him all powerful. The exact details of what this object is, or how he came to use it I cannot tell you for I do not know, but you must discover this while you are there in order to prevent him from using it."

Froslass watches your expression closely, half expecting you to hold up your hand and stop her from talking at this point before walking out, but you remain poker faced, giving away nothing of your thoughts, and since you've not yet interrupted her she continues to speak.

"I have just enough power in me to transport you and six of your team to the past, and to return you all safely. You will not have access to a PC in those times, and so cannot take more than six teammates with you. The hardest challenge you will face is that you will have no memory of your former self, of this time and place, for you will not go back as yourself but as Darke, you will become him, the man with whom Rhianna fell in love. Your Pokémon will also take on the forms of Drake's Pokémon, with no memory of their former selves, but each devoted to their trainer in the same way your Pokémon are to you. Drake's mission at the time he met Rhianna was to obtain the sacred mages object for safekeeping, but he died before it could be recovered, so you will instinctively know what you're supposed to be doing once you are transferred into his body. You will see what Drake sees, feel what he feels, know what he knows, but you will also have a sixth sense within you, one that will tell you something is very wrong and you must listen to this when it occurs or you will meet the same fate as Drake and your efforts to change history will fail.

Froslass is starting to see some concern in your expression now even though you're trying to conceal your concerns. Questions can come at the end, but for now you just want to hear everything she has to say so that you're at the very least able to make an informed decision. The fact you'll be another person with no knowledge of today's events will severely hinder your ability to make decisions should you go along with Froslass' plan, but she did say a sixth sense will tell you that something is wrong which begs the question of whether or not you're likely to listen to your own inner sense.

"From here I will be able to sense your progress for as history changes, this time will change. If you understand the concept of the Butterfee Effect you will understand what I mean. When you change a past event, this will also change the future. The most important point to remember, or to 'sense', is that you must not interfere with anything other than events directly surrounding Rhianna, Drake, The Duke of Earlwood, and The Mage of Blackthorn. Doing so could drastically alter history no matter how minor the event seems at the time. I know this is a lot to ask, and understand if you have no wish to be a part of it, so if you have any questions, or wish to decline this mission, now is the time to state your thoughts. If you're happy to take up this challenge all you need to do is choose six of your team to transfer into the bodies of Drake's Pokémon; a male Salamence, male Pinsir, female Arcanine, male Golem, male Poliwrath, and Claydol, and I'll take care of the rest"...

Rakurai: Though Kiba is terrified of the thought of entering the water you have a feeling that following Xavier's instructions right now will be best for both of you, the main problem being your unfamiliarity with the water. In order to guide Kiba you're going to need to know that you're capable of getting him to the alcove Xavier has told you about as quickly as you possibly can, but the thought of leaving Kiba here alone worries you. The thought of him drowning is of even more concern, however, and so you dive for a test run, giving Kiba strict instructions to wait for you. As you descend into the water you can hear the muffled sounds of explosions from above, urging you to move as fast as you can so that your friend isn't left to fend for himself against goodness-knows-what for very long. You're surprised by just how natural swimming in this form comes to you, and in no time have located a patch of seaweed in the bottom left-hand corner of the pool. Hurrying through it you find yourself in a narrow tunnel and speed along it until eventually emerging into a small cave at the end. Looking around you see there is very little room to move, perhaps only enough space for two people to sit on the rocky ledge, but the most surprising discovery is a faintly glowing blue orb no larger than a baseball, that is sitting in an alcove in the wall. Fascinated, you're tempted to take a closer look, but with Kiba waiting don't take the time to examine the object and instead turn to head back. The feeling of freedom as you streak through the water is exhilarating and if the situation weren't so dire you'd actually take the time to enjoy it, but are in too much of a hurry to do little more than ponder on what it would be like to live your entire life as a Mudkip.

A moment later you emerge into chaos in the secret base, not immediately seeing any sign of Kiba which causes your heart to skip a beat. Panicked, you look around before eventually spying your teammate's pale and frightened face bobbing just above the water not far from where you left him while the body of a human female floats beside him, blood seeping into the water from a rather nasty wound. Looking up you see Xavier facing off against another man, and judging from the way the other is dressed can only assume it is Kalaris. Anticipating that Xavier will be furious if he sees that you and Kiba are still here, you don't hesitate another moment and swim over to your friend. Instructing him to hang on, and assuring him you'll make it to the underwater cave in approximately thirty seconds so long as he doesn't struggle, you watch while he nods and takes a deep breath before holding onto you. Descending into the water again you quickly find that your second trip won't be quite as fast as your first as Kiba is so frightened that he's holding you back slightly. Reminding him to kick, and surprised that he can understand you even though you're underwater, the two of you eventually reach the cave where Kiba hoists himself up out of the water and onto the rocky ledge, gasping for breath. You can't help but feel for him as you're well aware of the fact canines aren't too fond of the water, and given that he's only been human for a matter of hours and not at all accustomed to his new body, release Flandre who immediately uses the flame on her tail to help warm her teammate. Deciding to give Kiba a few moments to gather himself together, you move over to take a closer look at the glowing blue orb.

While the faint rumblings of battle can be heard and felt from here, you try to ignore them while gazing at the mysterious stone object. A mystical energy is radiating from it, you can feel it in every fibre of your being, and you wonder if this is the stone Xavier and his people are protecting. If so, then you're in very real danger down here because this is the item Kalaris is searching for. At the same time you reason that Xavier wouldn't send you down here if this were indeed the sacred stone, but then again if he wants you to remain safe and feels the stone is well protected here, then wouldn't it be reasonable to hide you in the same place as the item they are hiding from the evil wizard? So many questions still hang in the air, with more arising as each step of your adventure unfolds, and so far none of them have been answered. You've followed the advice and orders of others to end up right here, right now, but nobody has yet given you the chance to ask a question. Considering your role in this mess, and the fact all you want to do is return to your normal life in your normal body, then you figure you at least deserve an explanation as to what is going on. Your thoughts are interrupted, however, when you hear something coming from the direction of the tunnel through which you'd just emerged. Looking at Kiba and Flandre nervously, you turn your attention back to the tunnel when you see a disturbance in the water, and a moment later a large Gyarados with a vertical scar over its right eye comes rearing up out of the water. Flandre dives for cover behind Kiba who has nowhere to hide, while you're left staring at it wondering how on earth you're supposed to defend yourself and your teammates in this tiny space against such a ferocious beast...

arcanumghost: Despite a rather unpleasant ride over thanks to the cranky captain who made your boat trip hell, the moment you step foot onto Rainbow Road your spirits are lifted. A gorgeous rainbow hangs in the sky above the winding road, curving with it as far as the eye can see. It's a strange phenomena, but wonderful one, and you're quick to share your new adventure with Lyre and Brooks. Lyre scuttles along happily by your side, though Brooks is having a more decidedly difficult time keeping up seeing as he's far more suited to water travel than land adventures. Eventually feeling sorry for the little seahorse, you decide to take a rest and snack on an apple. Leaning against a boulder on the soft grass beside the road, you gaze up at the rainbow when out of nowhere you hear a splash followed by a squeal and a giggle coming from somewhere behind you.

"Hor-sea!" Brooks cries, bouncing off down a side trail off the main path. Lyre, concerned for his friends safety, scuttles off after him, not wanting to lose sight of his teammate, so you quickly race off after both of them so as not to lose them in this unfamiliar land. It turns out you have little cause for concern, however, as you soon find yourself standing beside a small pond where a rather bedraggled girl of about thirteen is watching her Shellder play in the water. Shellder leaps up and then splashes back down into the pond sending water shooting out at its trainer who giggles again as her clothing is slowly but surely being saturated by the playful Bivalve Pokémon. "Hor-sea!" Brooks cries again, bouncing forward and leaping into the water to join Shellder while the girl giggles, apparently happy to see her Pokémon now has a playmate. While Lyre makes sure to keep his distance from the pond should he be the next to be soaked, the girl looks over to you with a friendly smile. "Hi there! I'm Louise and this is Pearl," she welcomes cheerfully. "I hope you don't mind her playing with your Horsea..."
Arcanum leaned against a strangely comfortable boulder, staring off in the distance, dazzled by the vibrant rainbows visible in every direction. He'd hardly seen single rainbows in his life, much less rainbows plural or rainbows with such clarity. And to think it wasn't raining either... that was another first. Altogether, Arcanum's dark and torn up clothing looked relatively out of place. The apple really hit the spot, and Lyre was scuttling around the grass, chasing some smaller insects and exploring a little nearby with Horsea watching from the path. Arcanum heard some splashes behind him, away from the path a ways, mixed in with some squeals and giggles.

Horsea didn't waste any time bouncing off in the direction he heard the sound of water, bounding more enthusiastically than before. Lyre looked awful worried and began crawling as fast as she could in the same direction. Arcanum grunted a little as he got up and turned around to follow his water pokémon and protective bug pokémon. As Arcanum caught up with Brooks and Lyre standing a few feet back, his face returned to the blissful one from the group's snack break. His Horsea had found a girl slightly older than Arcanum and a Shellder at a small pond. The girl's clothing was stained by water and mud all over, and something told Arcanum this was due to several such playing sessions with her Shellder. Her Shellder would jump up out of the water and land, splashing the girl from a few feet away. After a few moments, Brooks had decided it was fine with everyone for him to join in, bounding over to the water's edge before leaping in and making a significant splash himself. Lyre on the other hand kept herself a significant distance away from the water, leaping away just to make sure she didn't get wet. Arcanum blushed a little as the girl giggled and continued to get soaked by the two playmate water pokémon. The girl finally looked up and introduced herself and her friend.

Arcanum then proceeded to ramble, something he'd done more and more recently as he continued on his adventures and become less shy. When it was a cute girl, this problem became even worse. "Hey, I'm Arcanum, and that's Brooks with Pearl in the water and Lyre is my shy Nincada over here. I sure don't mind you guys playing with Brooks, he's been having a hard time keeping up on the dirt path. In fact, I'm surprised he has as much energy as he does. We were just up on the path eating an apple when Brooks heard you guys splashing around over here and got so excited he ran off. Hehe... I'd say you look pretty... pretty dirty, but then again I guess I'm pretty torn up too. Where are you from? What brought you here to Rainbow Road? And if it's alright with you, can we join you while we're here?"

It's good to be back :3 Let me know if I'm rusty anywhere / you have suggestions for me.

Time travel. The suggestion seemed, to a degree, innocuous enough, but the notion of literally walking in someone else's shoes hit Shadow like an invisible ton of bricks. A hand went instinctively to his forehead as if shouldering a great physical burden; though the weight in question was mental it felt no less heavy. Thoughts raced relentlessly through his head, looking for lifelines in alternative options, only to be promptly answered in the negative. He sighed; what would knowledge give him but peace of mind this time? Anything he knew now would be overridden when Drake's body and mind would overtake his. He would be Drake, behave as Drake... fall in love. The very synapse drew an uncharacteristic blush to the young man's cheek. Almost dejectedly in his conceding he left his arms to fall to his sides; he would not give up on Froslass, but he could not see an alternative to the plan she laid out. The thoughts seemed to age him years beyond his time as his mind cleared. Flipping his PokéDex he went through his list of operatives, eventually deciding on Ephidel, Diamondhead, Mango, Factor, Novawing, and Mastermind.

"I've selected my teammates, Froslass," he declared as he displayed his selection on the device; a hint of weariness slipping in his voice. "Before I embark on this mission, though, I would like to ask... I need to know what Drake was like when he was alive. To the full extent of what you remember about him. And how did you come into the story of Drake and Rhianna?"

REALLY sorry for the wait guys. NaNoWriMo, school work, and me procastinating (which I obviously shouldn't do) has taken up most of my time, but really, I should have updated before now. I'll try to speed up in the future, please don't hate me.

Memory Lane - please reply in Plum

Dark Fire: Deciding to head towards Memory Lane, you and your Tauros begin to slowly walk along the concrete path that made up the bulk of the area. Along its side you see various gravestones and flowers laid down, in memory of those who have died in the Cloud Garden, or had wanted to be buried there. You read some of the gravestones as you pass, reading various things like ‘Died protecting the land he loved’, ‘Mauled down by his own partner’ and ‘a loving father, son and husband’. You can’t help but feel sad when you see that last one. You think of how horrible it would be to lose your own father, or even losing your own son should you ever meet a partner in life. How much pain you would go through from their loss. You sigh, and continue onwards, looking at various other gravestones and looking at a rare type of flower that you’d never seen before. They were a light blue in colour, and its petals looked very much like diamonds, it was beautiful. This place seemed to give off such a sad aura, you start to doubt continuing through the location. Zodiac seems not to share these feelings, though, simply happy to not be anywhere near vine producing creatures. Eventually, you come across another person in the mist filled path, sitting down and looking sadly at a gravestone. Looking at the stone itself, you notice that it had no words on it at all, being a blank stone that just lay there. The boy sitting at the stone looks up at you, sadness in his eyes as he does so. Slowly, he begins to ask you something, but you can’t quite make out what, his words all being muffled for some reason. Upon seeing you not reply to him, he stands up, disheartened, and runs straight at you.

Curiously, you watch at the boy runs straight through your solid body, and notice as he does so that he isn’t quite a solid being after all. The boy looked as though he had brown hair, but it had such a blue aura that it was difficult to see. He was short, wore clothes that looked like he was from the eighteen hundreds, and in your mind was rather plainly a ghost. Any enthusiasm that Zodiac had about the place vanishes as the boy came out of your rear after running straight into your front. Strangely, you feel nothing as he runs through you. No weird feeling as you may expect, no mystical change in your body, just nothing. Zodiac tries to rear off the path, but then changes his mind, not wishing to go off the concrete path which he at least knew was solid. The ghostly boy runs down the path, and eventually stands still, turning around and looking at you directly. He gestures wildly, and you assume that he wants you to follow, the boy running off the path and into the mist that lay ahead. You look at Zodiac, and notice that the Pokemon isn’t entirely sure about following the spirit. However, it wasn’t the bulls choices as to what you were to do, it was yours, and now was as good a time as any to decide what you wanted to do. Should you follow him, or keep moving forwards?

Comets Corner - please reply in red

Treepandaone: Withdrawing three of your Pokemon due to the excessive effort that they had put in moments ago, you make your way up the hill towards the start of the ceremony. Lexi sits on your shoulder, calmly examining the surroundings and the beauty of the Comets Corner, Nimbus floats above you and is similarly awed by the atmosphere around the place, and Hellion walks beside you, not necessarily showing his awe as obviously as the other two Pokemon, but you have a pretty good idea that he’s thinking exactly what they are. You make your way to the top of the hill, along with several other people who had recently been rescued from the previous destructive events that pretty much destroyed their carriages and damaged their Pokemon. It was as good a time as any for a ceremony like this to begin, and Stela refused to hesitate. She had done the ceremony for several years now, and with her Granbull, was ready to complete the process once again. Alongside you, you happen to notice, Dragomir is also making his way up the hill, his Pokemon returned to his pokeball for the rest it deserves. As the entire group approaches, murmurs begin to emerge through the crowd, people talking about what they wished for and what they would do when the wish came true, or how disappointed they would be if it didn’t. You try to see Stela over the crowd, but it’s a difficult thing to do, nobody willing to let you past as they aren’t really paying attention to anyone behind them. But then, Dragomir taps each person on the shoulder as he approaches them, and they just let him past. Slightly annoyed, but seeing it as an opportunity, you follow in the gaps of Dragomirs wake, managing to get to the center ring of the hill so as to watch Stela in her procedures. Suddenly, the crowd all hush with excitement, Stela raising her hand, and then slowly beginning to speak, a mystical voice coming out of her, slightly louder than the norm she was speaking before.

“With the landing of the first comet…” with awe and great timing, you notice a light in the sky slowly fall down and slam into the earth about a mile away, wondering quite how that she predicted the exact moment when it would fall down. “…the ceremony shall begin.” Her eyes suddenly become unfocussed, pure white with her pupils completely gone, her body shaking slowly without any particular rhythm. Strangely, you notice, it’s only the children that seemed concerned with this sudden change of events, all the adults apparently having seen this process before. Nobody can mask their excitement, not even you, and the Granbull standing next to his trainer simply looked around at the people, not worried, simply looking angry as the species generally does. You suppose the Pokemon might not condone of its trainers behaviour, or the fact that all these people expect his trainer to repeat the process every year. You have no idea how much damage the process may do to this woman, but at the moment, you couldn’t really care less. Your wish may well soon come into reality, and a group of gasps might have signified its working. When you look to what they were gasping at, though, you see that it isn’t necessarily the wish working, rather a storm of comets falling down from the heavens. Some land amongst the crowd, some hitting people but not providing enough force to knock anyone out, being far too small. You notice Dragomir pick up one of these comets, and smiles, before returning his gaze to Stela, as you also return your gaze. Every stops the gasping as they realise that Stela is no longer moving, simply standing there, her eyes still white. Granbull looks slightly concerned now, but soon relief washes over his face as her eyes return to normal. The people, however, murmur uncertainly. You hear one say ‘this doesn’t normally happen’, and wonder what they possibly meant. Normally, Stela didn’t return to herself? How could that possibly be right.

Then, however, she once again speaks. “I…can’t believe it.” Her voice is still the usual whisper. “The wishmaker has decided to honour the wish left by Matthew…” All eyes suddenly turn to you, and you can’t help but feel slightly embarrassed by the unneeded attention “And visit the earth herself.” A large ripple of astonished noises spread through the crowd, and you can’t help but make one also. The wishmaker, Jirachi, coming down to earth because you wished it to happen? This was sparsely believable. Turning round to face Dragomir, you notice he’s no longer standing there. Strange, but it didn’t really mean anything, so you turned to Stela, awaiting the Wishmakers descent. And within about half a minute, a shining light pulsated above Stelas head, glowing as intensely as a star and causing many people to look away, the awe being far too bright. Soon, the form of Jirachi appeared, a small floating pixie like creature, with yellow banners and decorations on her body. She had tear shaped markings under her black eyes, and glanced around the people, curious at to those who had gathered to see her arrival. You can’t help but feel completely and utterly awed by the Pokemon in front of you. It was a legendary, unique and powerful, able of granting even the wildest wish if asked. And it came because of you. But wait, does that mean that the rest of the people will have their wishes come true? If so, then surely you would be worshipped as a hero, bringing the wishmaker to earth and causing everyone to get what they desired most inside. It was certainly a journey worth making to come here, you thought, looking at the Legendary. A cry suddenly emerged the legendarys lips, however, and you watched in horror as a net surrounded the Pokemons body, before retracting back to its origin. All of the gypsies cry out in rage, and all turn to see where the net had come from.

You see it, but you don’t believe it. Dragomir. Sitting atop a three headed bird, a large net gun in his right hand and the now captured Jirachi in his left hand, in what looked like a very sturdy net. You note the Pokemon as Dodrio, and before you can do anything, the trainer if off, riding away with the netted Pokemon in his hand. You had seen perhaps the greatest thing in your life, and it had been stolen from one you trust so quickly and unbelievably.

Raunchyfad: RaunchyFad: She stared at the man with a slight disgust as he asked exactly how that her Pokemon lost all of its bones and meat, the blood stained fur and skin being all that was left over. “If I honestly knew that, I would have found some form of protection aeons ago. As it stands, none of us know how on earth these Arbok work. We’re certainly trying to found out how these snakes manage to do what they do, but honestly, we’re more concerned with simply ending what my son says is a disease. He’ll explain more when you meet him, I’m not really up to date with your hip scientific terms.” She shrugged, and walked forwards, you following as your curiosity takes the better of you. “I can tell you some simple things that I’ve picked up, though. Thousands of Arbok live in the nearby area, as this part of the Cloud Gardens is famed for its Ekans breeding grounds. I personally hate the little buggers, growing up on what should be fertile ground and devouring all our crops. Generally, however, they’re fine, and know not to attack any trianer Pokemon, as we’ll come down on them hard like a pack of bricks. But occasionally, at rather random times from what I can tell, the snakes turn even more viscous than their usual selves, gaining what we call ‘Red Eyes’. I’ve lost two of my other Pokemon from these stupid snakes, only having two left now from my original journey.” Eyeing you with a slight look of pride as you kept walking, she continued “That’s right, I was a Pokemon trainer. Exploring the region of Hoenn, I managed to place second in the league. And then I fell pregnant, and my dreams of becoming a Pokemon master were ruined. But with that event, new dreams were formed.” She smiled, apparently not to anyone, but simply getting lost in the memories of past events.

Strolling onwards, you eventually see what must be her house, sitting in the middle of a small, grassy area, the house was made up of bricks, firmly stationed in the grass, but was seemingly located in a place one might find a tad odd for a home. From the looks of things, no other civilisation was anywhere near. Upon coming closer, however, you see why it was an ideal spot to put the house. Although not particularly clear from where you were standing, it turned out the house was actually placed on the edge of part of the plateau, a perfect position to look out from and admire the view of the Cloud Gardens. The woman walked over to the door, opening it and stepping in quickly, leaving it open for you to follow. “Dan, it’s me.” She stated loudly, as a door swung open in the right of the rooms cream wallpapered hallway. The floors were made out of simple wood, and the ceiling decorated with a strange tile pattern. The person who pushed his head round the corner smiled upon seeing the woman, and you guessed that this was the son she was talking about. He stepped out from the room he was in, and quickly made his way past his mother to shake your hand. “Welcome, right, let’s get down to business, I’m glad that the government finally approved my…” He stopped speaking as his mother shook her head. “Oh. You’re not from the Pokemon Agency. Sorry, I just get a bit wound up whenever we get someone new here. I’ve been waiting on a government man for months, and whenever I phone them up, they insist that someone had been sent to see me. Alas, life goes on. So, do you have a name?” After hearing your name, he says “Well, you’ve already heard my name, but it’s better to formally introduce myself anyway…” The older woman rolled her eyes “I’m Professor Daniel Mountain, former chief scientist of the Pokemon Agency, retired-” His mother let out a cold laugh “-Or fired, then. Apparently, they didn’t think that Red Eyes was a useful drain on their resources. The nerve of them…” He stopped rambling, looking angrily towards nothing in particular as his speech slowly trekked away from target.

Pikagod: Pikagod: Dot nodded at your orders, and made her way forwards a bit, preparing herself for the first attack that you ordered. Opening her mouth wide, she let out a large burst of pain inducing sound waves, Darren lifting his hands to his ears in pain as the soundwaves ripped through the air. Carnivine seemed to share in the intense pain that was being sent out, its hands reaching up to cover what must be the location that hearing was sourced into. It was evidently confused, and as it tried to Vine Whip once again, it simply slammed a tree hard, knocking a few leaves off from the top. As Dot saw the momentary advantage that she had gained, she zoomed in to the fray, her fist being covered in an icy energy as she sped towards the Grass Type. The frozen fist hit the Carnivine straight on, and caused a partial freeze on its chest, the Pokemon screaming out in pain from both the confusion and the super effective hit. Some of its confusion went with the blow, however, and the Carnivine leapt forwards, vengeance in its eyes as it used Bite down on Dot, his teeth piercing the bug and starting to crush, but not quite managing to secure the firefly who zoomed out, escaping by moving backwards towards yourself. Following this second attack, but still feeling slightly saw, Dot moved into her second initiative. Bug energy was charged into her wings as she began to rapidly pull them forwards and backwards, a gust forming in front of her, filling itself with bug energy as it soared towards the Carnivine.

Once again, the attack hit the Pokemon, and the Carnivine was launched skidding across the floor, fury evident in its eyes as it brought itself up to its full height. Suddenly, in a burst of speed, the Carnivine launched itself across the distance and managed to Bind its appendages around the Pokemon, its mouth widening as it most likely prepared to devour the Pokemon whole. During this whole event, the ace detective that was Darren Blin watched with burning passion. It was evident that the detective wanted to join in, but his Pokemon was pretty injured from before, and he probably didn’t think it wise. But then he said “Perhaps I can get involved? My Pokemon may be down, but there are plenty of sticks that we can use as weapons around here! What do you say? My Ace Detective skills suggest to me that this could be the right decision.” He gave you a smile that almost made you outright facepalm. This man obviously wanted to be able to show off to you, and perhaps this was the moment that he would need to do so. Should you let him? And more importantly, what should you do about your poor Pokemon about to be feasted on?

The Forbidden Garden - Please reply in forestgreen

Joshua: The woman continued to look at you as he spoke, and her eyes quickly widened with a shock, clear that she had no idea about something that you had just said. Her mind was quickly buzzing with thoughts, and a puzzled look coming across her face gave off the fact that she may well be as confused about this as you are. “They…They’re stealing peoples Pokemon again?” She replied to the first part of your explanation, her eyes looking almost as though tears were about to be spawned, looking at you with a slightly regretful expression, worry evident as lines previously unseeable were shown on her face. “I’m…sorry I judged so harshly on seeing you with him.” She appeared to be softening up a little, and you note that she no longer takes an aggressive stance, standing fairly neutrally as she looks at you. She continued to listen to you speak, and responded to a segment again, speaking with slight confusion. “I know which area of the forest that this key came from, but I’m not really sure about how they would have found it. Yes, it was certainly the easiest to find, but the nimrods have been looking for this beauty for the past hundred years, so what changed? Why were they suddenly able to find this key, when it had remained hidden for so long?” Her puzzled expression turned into one of slight revelation, but she didn’t explain to you what that revelation had been. “So, you’re offering a hand to help, aye? Well then, I suppose I can take you tagging along. Your Pokemon sure seems formidable enough. But, any step out of place, and your dead meat. Got it?” A grin crept slowly across her mouth, but went away again when you asked her name.

“Leaf. Laugh at me and I rip out your vocal chords, got it?” You nod, fairly certain that you don’t want your vocal chords ripped out by this woman. She smiles, and says “That’s more like it, now back to the battle.” As you make your orders, your Pokemon instantly springs into action, rage still evident in its face as it follows its trainers commands. The Female Tyranitar moves towards her prey, her fist covering itself in flaming energy, and her right fist covering itself with ice energy. Seeing what was going on, Leaf quickly attempted to fight back. “Shiftry, quick, Razor Leaf in his face!” But Shiftry wasn’t having any of it, simply standing there and allowing itself to have two fists slamming into either side of his face. The pain was immense for the poor Shadow Pokemon, and it tried to return to fight back, but a thrash slamming into it soon ended the Pokemons efforts to fight the Tyranitar, knocking out hard on the floor. Leaf smiled softly at the Pokemon, whispering “You did great.” Before returning it to the shadowy orb from which it came. Looking up at you, she briefly stated “You won. So, now we leave. Keep up if you can.” And instantly, she turned and ran in the opposite direction, maintaining a steady pace for now. She turned as she ran, beckoning you.

Although you've given up on trying to impress Storm, a little voice in the back of your mind is telling you that this is not only your chance to prove yourself to the stone-faced tour guide, as well as impress a very large audience with your trainer skills, but also to prove to yourself that you can win this despite the fact your Pokémon are up against two lethal enemies
It wasn’t a day for the beach that’s for sure. The warm sun was pressing glowing against the turquoise waters, not a streak of cloud in the sky. The weather was the least of the lad’s troubles though, for what was putting such a downer on his day was an unruly kraken reigning terror on the sunshiny vista. They’d been coaxed into action right off the bat, and now Wes had found himself clearing up the shallow shore of the tourists who’d been caught in the riptide. Reaver neighed gruffly, the dragon’s locomotion pushing him out of the snake’s territory. With just the tip of his head protruding from the surface, he jets on route for the patches dyed with blood knowing full well the scent would bring about a few predators. The boy’s eyes widened, a dorsal fin elegantly skimming the waters where Kingdra was headed - a Sharpedo was in his midst. Reaver keeps collected, cocky even as he lunges downward and fires a flurry of Dragon Pulses. The dazzling blasts splash against the shark’s nose, knocking him back slightly but hardly taming his senses as it persisted forward. The rusty seahorse tries keeping track of his fresh foe whose all too quick, jetting forward and brushing Reaver with its serrated fin! Reaver backs off in astonishment; he’d never been out sped before. The rush of surprise drains away and Reaver growls back in an anger, which does a good job of covering his fears. The seahorse attempts to distinguish the shark through the thick of bubbles, it was running circles around him faster than he could keep up – even with his sniper ability.

Meanwhile Kaiomi seemed to be fending better against his pick, blurring into a triad of dragonflies to intimidate the Kraken. The bugs whizz around his head, chattering wildly much to the dragon’s displeasure. His iris flare with a crazed passion, maw dropping as he musters up a satanic roar. Enough to catch Wes’s eye, he prepares to yell a nippy retaliation, but all too slow as the Gyarados fires off a powerful Hydro Pump the likes he’d never seen. The thick white stream beams against the sky aimlessly, almost reaching the stars as far as the boy could imagine. The attack wipes out one of the bugs, the other fortunately intact. The sea monster was dim enough to rifle in triumph, flapping his tail against the waves causing spurts of fizz behind his mighty frame. Kaiomi spots a fine opportunity, buzzing to the beast’s yellow underbelly in a heartbeat, his tail flinging forward like a catapult. The stinger presses through the delicate tissue, injecting Toxic lethal enough to put any Poochyena to sleep. The same couldn’t be said for the scaly monster, which bends downward angrily with Kaiomi still attached! The bug screeches in panic, wriggling frantically to no avail without any way of unfastening his stinger. KASPLASH! The bug thrusts below, its wings becoming limp causing a major hindrance to his speed. It looked as though the venom was seeping in too, with Gyarados now thrashing frenziedly causing massive damage to Kaiomi!

With two battles going in such a large space, Wes was unsure where to look next! Reaver was riddled with bloodthirsty Sharpedo and still had the burden of his fallen teammate who wasn’t adapt to water. The strained seahorse goes with his gut and jets into a spinning motion. Purple streams of dragon energy spur from his tail, a twister beginning to come about. The purple typhoon grows a few feet, sucking in the Sharpedo who isn’t able to break free from its eye. Finally thrust from the funnel, the shark torpedo’s its way out of the water and bangs against Gyarados. The tides where turning in their favour, the small underwater twister rising from the depths and sucking in the colossal kraken. Kaiomi takes to the opportunity, unfastening from the underbelly and swooping a safe distance from the ever-growing typhoon. His brittle endoskeleton was bruised and frayed, he wasn’t fighting fit and Wes knew it. They’d taken the dragon down a notch though and they couldn’t stop there. That beast was on a mission to spoil the picturesque cove and he was the only middling trainer in sight. A crowd where gathering at this point, Wes smiled weakly whilst on the inside I wished one of them would pull their finger out. He was beginning to crack, two of his toughest teammates barely able to keep up and he couldn’t stand thinking of what could happen to the feisty fighters. Wes crawled his way up the beach, all eyes on him.

“Aren’t you guys seeing what I’m seeing?!” the boy said in a raised voice, coughing nervously, “This is way too dangerous, and if you’re not going to help... well then lost!” There wasn’t much response from anyone, just a few people giving him funny looks as though they didn’t realise he was in charge. He didn’t have the biggest voice, but all that mattered right now was helping out Kaiomi and Reaver. Wes sighed and rushed toward Storm, “uh, is there a lifeguard tower around here? I could use a better vantage and a megaphone too”

“Kaiomi, shake off some of that water with Agility, and then churn up a Shock Wave with your wings. Be careful not to hit the water since we don’t want to disturb Reaver. Then splash him with a gust of Silver Wind!” “Reaver, that shark may have terrific senses but we can at least block his sight by masking the waters in a Smoke Screen! Slow his movements with Ice Beam and shut it down with Hyper Beam!”

Katsu wasted no time in heading for the entrance of the tunnel Xavier had told him about, the sounds of the muffled explosions above serving as a reminder of the danger he had chosen to leave Kiba in for what he hoped would be just a moment. Thankfully, that hope seemed as though it would be realized, for to his surprise and delight, swimming came to him naturally as a Mudkip. In no time at all, he was traveling through the water with ease and speed he could only have dreamed of as a human, all while free of the risk of drowning, due to the gills he now possessed. "If only I could be in the ocean right now...", he wished, his mind briefly distracted by images of himself swimming amid colorful corals and friendly water Pokemon before he came to his senses, and jetted through the patch of seaweed that concealed the tunnel. He found it to be a lot simpler to traverse then he had imagined, for it was straightforward, and while narrow, still more then wide enough for him make it through unhindered. At the end, it emerged into a small cave with a rocky ledge that looked to be big enough for him, Kiba, and Flandre to fit onto with a little room to spare. But what truly caught his eye was a peculiar, glowing blue stone, lodging in the wall behind the ledge. "That thing... Could that be the stone Corvius was talking about?", he wondered, considering a closer look before the sound of another explosion reminded him about Kiba, after which he dove back into the water, and headed back the way he had came with haste. "But why would he have us hide over there?", he puzzled, not at all keen about the thought that he and Kiba might end up encountering Kalaris if they waited near the object of his interest. "I guess he must feel that it's a secure location..."

The moment he was back in the pool, he made his way to the surface, and glanced around, initially feeling alarmed when he saw that Kiba wasn't where he had left him, but soon spotted him bobbing in water, looking more frightened then ever. The causes of Kiba's excess fear became apparent to him immediately, for floating in the water not far from him was a recently deceased girl, who had sustained a terrible wound, and on the land, he saw Xavier facing off against someone who he presumed to be Kalaris, for his appearance matched the description given to him by his companion. Neither of the two seemed to have noticed him or Kiba yet, and Katsu planned on keeping it that way, knowing that Xavier would probably be mad at him for the delay, and that he also risked further betraying the location of the stone to Kalaris. Without hesitation, he swam to Kiba, and nodded his head at him to let him know he was ready to go, the human Electrike taking a deep breath and grabbing onto his trainer by the sides before the two of them submerged. The second trip through the tunnel started off a lot slower then the first, as Katsu expected, and he could feel Kiba's fear in his tight grasp. "Relax and kick your legs. The tunnel isn't as long as you might think.", he uttered in consolation and reminder to his partner, after which he felt their pace increase considerably, his words seeming to have done the trick.

After a little more then a minute, the two emerged into the cave, Katsu helping Kiba to pull himself onto land as he gasped for breath. Kiba took note of the stone, but exhausted in both body and mind, didn't feel like making any sort of remark about it, instead choosing to set his trainer's pack on the ground before huddling his arms and legs together in an effort to warm himself up. That reminded Katsu about Flandre, whom he released from her Pokeball, after struggling to get his pack open, his lack of fingers to blame. The Charmander glanced about quickly, half expecting to see some manner of hostile Pokemon to fight, but upon seeing her teammate looking cold and miserable, quickly understood why she had been called upon, and sat down next to Kiba, the close proximity of her tail flame quickly putting an end to his shivering. Meanwhile, Katsu had gone to take a closer look at the stone. While he initially had doubted that it was something with the potential to destroy the world, he changed his mind when he drew near, and noticed that it was radiating a strange energy he could feel flowing through his body. "Just what purpose could this thing serve?", he wondered, knowing that it surely didn't exist solely to cause the destruction Corvius had mentioned. "On the same matter, who exactly are Corvius, Kalaris, and Xavier? And how are the three of them related?, he continued to muse. There were so many questions that had been raised throughout the day, yet almost none of them had been answered, and it began frustrate Katsu terribly when he thought about it, especially because of the role he and Kiba had played in the whole mess so far. They had a right to know about everything, and he fully intended to get some answers from Xavier once he had the chance; that was, assuming that he managed to survive against Kalaris. "Xavier... He'd better not get himself killed. Otherwise, we'll be left in the dark, hopeless and without a clue...", he worried, shaking his head at the idea of such a troublesome possibility.

His thoughts were soon interrupted by the sound of something coming through the tunnel towards him and others quickly, and while he had been quick to prepare himself, Flandre was distracted with an one-sided conversation she had started with Kiba while Katsu had been busy thinking, the tremor of a distant explosion having piqued the Charmander's interest in the current situation.

"So... What the heck is going on right now, anyways?", she had inquired to Kiba, who looked like he would've preferred to try and get some sleep, rather then talk. "A battle. Me and Katsu were ordered to stay out of it, and hide in this cave.", he replied wearily. "Really? Well, that's lame. I wish I could see it, because it sure sounds like something else.", she complained. "It's not what you're used to... People and Pokemon are dying out there. Dying for the sake of that stone behind us.", Kiba stated with grief in his voice, the memories of what he had described still fresh in his mind. "Losing their lives over a shiny rock... That just sounds stupid, if you ask me. I mean, it can't be that important, can it?", Flandre remarked, only using the fairly unimpressive appearance of the object as the basis for her judgment, to which Kiba simply sighed, no longer in the mood for talking. However, their conversation would've ended regardless, for a disturbance in the water caught everyone's attention.

From the depths rose a Gyarados, a Pokemon that would've surely sent the lot of them running in the opposite direction, if not for the fact that there was nothing but solid rock a mere foot or two behind them. Flandre was the first to react, impulsively diving behind Kiba for cover. "H...Hey! You're the one who's supposed to be protecting us now, remember?", the horrified Electrike stammered to the Charmander. "Oh... Um... Right.", she responded in a rather clueless manner before reluctantly stepping out from behind Kiba to confront the Gyarados, trying her best to make herself look intimidating while she awaited further orders. As for Katsu, he had initially been contemplating how he'd go about begging the beast for his life and the lives of his friends, but when he noticed the scar on its right eye, it reminded him of someone. "That scar... Xavier has one just like it. He said he'd be coming to get us, so could this be his Pokemon form?", he guessed, recalling the shapeshifting abilities that Reggie, and presumably, the rest of the humans in the base possessed. "Only one way to find out..."

"Is that you, Xavier?", he asked the Gyarados cautiously and fearfully, earning him a confused look from his two Pokemon...

How do you react?
Nodding her head, Dot turned towards Carnivine and prepared her first attack. She opened her mouth and began to emit painful Supersonic waves. As Darren covered his ears in pain, Karmas saw that Carnivine was doing the same. Now definitely confused, Carnivine tried to do another Vine Whip but only managed to hit a tree. Seeing an opportunity to attack, Dot rushed at the grass type, Punching it with her fist covered in Ice. Hitting Carnivine straight on, Dot managed to partially freeze its chest, causing Carnivine to scream out in both pain and confusion. The attack managing to get rid of some of Carnivine's confusion, the grass type leapt at Dot, Biting down on the Ledian. She gave a scream of pain, but Dot was able to escape the pokemon's grasp by moving back towards Karmas. Feeling sore from the attack, Dot continued into her second attack, her wings charged up with Bug energy. She began to rapidly flap her wings, causing a gust of bug energy to form and soar towards Carnivine. Once again the attack was successful in hitting the pokemon, sending it skidding backwards. But Carnivine suddenly jumped at Dot, with a burst of surprising speed, and managed to Bind Dot with its vines. Karmas watched in horror as he saw the grass type open its mouth, with a possible intention to eating Dot! Despite what was happening, Karmas couldn't help but notice that Darren had been watching with what he assumed was burning passion. It was obvious to Karmas that the detective wanted to join in on the fight, but unfortunately his pokemon were too injured to fight. But then, however, he did say:

“Perhaps I can get involved? My Pokemon may be down, but there are plenty of sticks that we can use as weapons around here! What do you say? My Ace Detective skills suggest to me that this could be the right decision.”

Karmas thought about what the detective said, maybe Darren could help with defeating, and if Karmas was really lucky, and capturing Carnivine.

"Alright Darren, maybe you could use some sticks to try and trap Carnivine in one spot and free Dot if she can't manage it on her own," said Karmas, "Dot, I want you to use a Mega Punch then follow it up with a Bug Bite and a Comet Punch!"

Pikagod: Darren grinned as you allowed him to take part in the battle, and quickly walked over to some undergrowth to investigate it, searching for some sort of weapon that he could use to aid you in the current battle. Quickly scanning through the area, he picked up a collection of various different stick sizes, placing them under his armpit as he moved forwards and attempted to get involved with the battle, quickly running around Carnivine, and carefully dodging his whip attacks, placing sticks around the Carnivines base to try and form some sort of prison for the Pokemon to be trapped in. With death imminent, Dot refused to stay still during this period, her fist glowing with a white and powerful energy as she slammed her fist straight into the inside of the Carnivines fly trap mouth, causing the Pokemon to cry out in pain as it relinquished its grasp on Dot, who managed to fly outwards. As you look at your Pokemon partner, a problem becomes apparent, Dot not flying quite the way she normally would. Looking carefully, you see that one of her wings looks more flat than it should be, having been crushed by the Carnivine as it grasped Dot for a bind. The firefly Pokemon was unwilling to let that get to her, though, and she followed the punch with a Bite filled with energy of the Bug type, the energy flowing into the Carnivines body and dealing a super effective hit, causing another cry of pain from the Pokemon, who responded promptly by swatting Ledian away with a vine whip, knocking her back with physical pressure. Darren watched this happen, and fought back against the Pokemon, whacking it with a stick in the vine.

Carnivinve was pained by this attack, but hadn’t made a move back against Darren yet, simply staying in its sticky situation as its body glowed a bright colour, Carnivine absorbing power from the sun in Growth. But Dot wouldn’t simply let Carnivine absorb this energy, speeding in and rapidly performing a maneuver of punches. Each jab of its fists dealt only light damage, but it racked up, hurting Carnivine and interrupting the flow of energy into the Pokemons body. As such, any energy that had been previously gained in the Growth dissipated instantly, leaving Carninvine even more rageful than before. It most likely would have fought back too, but the Pokemon was wise enough to take a bit of a rest, trying to get back a bit of energy before it moved back into a fighting mood. Darren and Dot both moved out of the Vine Whipping range, wise enough to see that it would do no good to waste the prison of sticks that Darren had set up, that should Carnivine try to move, would keep the Pokemon firmly in place. Darren looked rather pleased with himself as the Carnivine tried to regain its breaths, and you see that it is probably wise to fight back against the Pokemon as it was still recovering, hoping that you’d be lucky enough to capture the Pokemon.

How do you react?

Darren gave Karmas a large grin as he went and searched in the undergrowth for a weapon to use. He had a quick look and picked up a range of different sized sticks, and placed them under his arm. Placing the sticks around Carnivine's base, Karmas saw that he hoped to trap the grass type. While Darren did that Dot wasn't going to just sit in the Carnivine's grip, she was going to take action! She swung her fist around, and hit the inside of her captor's mouth with a Mega Punch. Carnivine cried out in pain, which allowed Dot to escape from its mouth. However, as she flew out, Karmas saw that Dot wasn't flying normally. Looking closer, the trainer saw that one of her wings had been crushed by Carnivine. But Dot wasn't going to let that get her down, following up her attack with a Bug Bite. Crying out in pain again, Carnivine responded by swatting away the ladybug with a Vine Whip. Seeing this, Darren fought the plant's vines with a stick.

The attack hurt Carnivine, but the plant didn't attack, instead it started to absorb energy from the sun. Not wanting to let Carnivine absorb the energy from the sun, Dot flew at the grass type, hitting it with Comet Punch. The punches themselves didn't do much damage but were enough to disrupt the pokemon's energy flow. Karmas could tell that it would have fought back, but it seemed to be taking a bit of a rest. Dot and Darren moved out of Vine Whipping range and stood their ground, there was no use wasting a perfectly good trap. The detective seemed quite chuffed with himself and Karmas saw that Carnivine was trying to regain its breath.

"Now's our chance Dot!" called out Karmas, "Dot I want you to use Silver Wind then Swift and finish off with another Silver Wind!"

Issuing his orders, the trainer pulled off a Pokeball and waited for a chance to use it.

Pikagod: Wisely opting not to allow Dot to get any closer to Carnivine, you order special attacks to be used, Carnivine having no means of striking back due to the distance. Dot flaps her wings, one of them being slightly more difficult to do so due to the earlier crushing, and sends a bug filled gust like attack across to Carnivine, the wind being silver as it damages the Grass Type. Carnivine, who was attempting to recover some lost health through simply doing nothing, cried out in pain at the attack, having no means to dodge due to the sticks that trapped its body. You continue the attacks as Carnivine is standing helpless, a Swift attack releasing several stars which cut across the Pokemons body. This final attack was enough to knock the Carnivine into the critical level, and seeing no point in wasting another attack, you command Dot to stop. Throwing the Pokeball in your hand, it opens up and releases a red light which consumes the Carnivine, the ball landing on the ground and shaking once, twice, three times before a ‘ping’ announced that you had indeed captured it. Walking over to it, you carefully avoid the spikes with your arm, and grab the Pokeball, smiling at the thought of the Level 9 Male Carnivine you had just obtained. Grinning as you turn around, you smile at Darren, who seems downhearted by this whole event, and you can see why. The man was obviously upset at the fact his own Pokemon was still missing, and you decide that you should continue going, although quite how you are uncertain. But then Darren points something out, moving over to the trap and looking in its base. “It seems Riddle has planned ahead as before.” He stated, reading out the riddle that laid in front of his eyes.

“So you have defeated Carnivine
But that’s only one part of my design
To find your Niddles you must head south
And go downstream to the rivers mouth”

Darren looked up at you, concern obvious in his eyes. “I think we should get going, I’m getting more worried about Niddles wellbeing by the second. Thankfully, I brought my compass with me…” He reached for his pocket, and looked at the readings, studying them and saying “It appears that South is straight ahead, so let’s get going.” You nod, and the pair of you begin to walk forwards, heading towards the next riddle and hopefully the chance to rescue Niddles soon. You can’t help but feel slightly worried about the Nidoran as well, imagining what it would be like if your Dot was captured in this sort of situation. The three of you move towards the supposed location of the river, and you begin to hear what you believe to be water, walking through the forest and eventually reaching the river. Darren smiles, apparently glad to have found it, and immediately turns to walk in the direction of the rivers flow, heading onwards as you and Dot follow behind. Dots wing seems to be getting slowly better, the Pokemon flying at a slower pace than normal as the pair of you come towards whatever was going to be awaiting you. Finally, you notice that Darren had stopped, looking anxiously from left to right. You notice his predicament, the river being split of into a fork, flowing off in two different directions. A bridge goes across the middle of the river, so you can feasibly follow either fork of the river. “So, which way do we go? Left or right?”

How do you react?

Quickly relaying his orders, Karmas opted to have Dot stay out of Carnivine's range and stick to special moves. The ladybug started to flap her wings, and sends a Silver Wind in Carnivine's direction. The grass type, who had tried to recover energy beforehand, cried out in pain; unable to do anything due to the sticks that were trapping it. Dot continues to attack as Carnivine remains trapped, a Swift spray of stars cutting across its body. Karmas saw that the swift had done enough damage to the grass type and stopped Dot from executing her final attack. He threw the Pokeball in his hand, which promptly opened up and sucked Carnivine in with a red beam of light. The ball fell to the ground and shook...and shook....and shook until it made a 'ping' noise, indicating that Karmas had caught the Carnivine. With a large smile on his face, Karmas picked up the ball, which disappeared in a flash of white light, it had gone off to the PC, and turned to Darren who seemed quite sad. Instantly realising that it was because the man was missing his own pokemon, Karmas decided that they needed to keep going. Suddenly Darren pointed something out near the stick trap.

“It seems Riddle has planned ahead as before.” He stated, reading out the riddle that laid in front of his eyes.

“So you have defeated Carnivine
But that’s only one part of my design
To find your Niddles you must head south
And go downstream to the rivers mouth”

Darren looked up at Karmas, concern obvious in his eyes. “I think we should get going, I’m getting more worried about Niddles' wellbeing by the second. Thankfully, I brought my compass with me…” He reached for his pocket, and looked at the readings, studying them and saying “It appears that South is straight ahead, so let’s get going.”

Karmas nodded his head, and the pair began to walk forwards, and hopefully to the next riddle. As they walked Karmas couldn't help but feel worried about Niddles, he couldn't imagine what he would do if Dot was in the same position. But he dismissed the thought, and the two humans and pokemon continued to walk in the supposed direction of the river. Soon Karmas heard what he thought was running water and they soon reached the river. Darren smiled, Karmas assumed that he was happy to have found the river, and walked the way the river flowed, Karmas and Dot following. Speaking of Dot, Karmas had noticed that she was flying better than she had been before, she was still going at a slow pace though. Soon Karmas saw that Darren had stopped, an anxious look on his face as he looked from left to right. Looking onwards, Karmas saw why Darren looked so anxious, the river forked in two directions. There was a bridge going over the river, so Karmas saw that he could go either way.

“So, which way do we go? Left or right?"

Karmas though about it for a couple of seconds, "Well I think that going right just seems like the best way to go."

Pikagod: Thinking it over only briefly, you decide that heading right is probably the better decision to make, and Darren nods in agreement, although worry is clearly still remnant on his face. The pair of you walk over to the wooden bridge that separates the two forks of the river. Nervously putting one of his feet forwards, Darren steps onto the first of the man wooden planks that forms the bridge. Seeing that in fact, it wasn’t unstable at all, he happily began to walk normally along the bridge, and you quickly follow behind him as a steady pace, Dot floating alongside you. As Darren steps of the other side of the bridge, he turns around and looks at you relieved. “It seems that Riddle didn’t bother to rig the bridge!” he noted, watching you with a cheerful and slightly less worried expression. You nod, and continue onwards, now confident that there would be no trap waiting for you. Alas, lady luck isn’t so fortunate today, and as you walk onwards the bridge suddenly begins to fall down under you weight. As Darren watches in shock, the wood in the bridge slowly flies out its slots pieces by piece, being flung through the air by some unseen force. Slowly, the pieces closer to you are beginning to get flung, so you realize that you need to speed up. Soon going into a jog, the bridges piece flinging also increases in speed, and you soon comprehend that the flinging is going to catch up with you before you can reach the other side. Making a desperate dash, you leap forwards as the entire bridge collapses below you, your hands gripping onto the side of the river bank as your body is submerged in water. You feel the water pressure on you, and soon it’s clear that the speed and strength of the river is a lot more than you could have guessed. Running over to you, Darren sticks out his hands, and shouts “Quick! Grab on!” his face alive with emotions, fear definitely being one of them. You reach up with one arm, but quickly clasp down again as you realize that if you hadn’t you’d probably have been pushed far downstream. Darren comes closer and grabs onto your hand, trying with all his weight to bring it up yet not push himself into the water. Eventually, after a long period of pulling and pushing, you’re brought onto the river bank as Darrens face showed obvious exhaustion.

“Well…perhaps even an Ace Detective can make a mistake.” He tries to smile, but his body fails him and he simply pants. The pair of you decide to take a while to recover your breath, as well as dry off a bit. Darren neglects to speak for a while, until finally he says “Well, if you were unsure about going right, too late now. There’s no chance we could swim through that.” Although it was stating the obvious, you still feel slightly annoyed by it. Maybe taking the bridge across to the right was the wrong decision? Maybe, even, Riddles trap had failed and he expected you to take longer deciding, and therefore the bridge went off too late. Maybe he wanted to kill you both there and then. There were lots of possibilities, but one thing remained the same. You had to move forwards and you had to defeat Riddle, for Darrens sake, as well as your own, as who knows what Riddle might do to you now that you’ve been involved? Darren helps you to stand up, and the pair of you turn and head onwards, following the river as the last riddle had instructed you to do. Keeping a steady pace, yet slower than before, the pair of you move along as the river turns and changes its course. Heading through dense forests and looking at the Grass and Bug types moving through, you eventually reach open air again as the pair of you look forwards. It seems that you’ve reached a rather high up point somehow, even though you never realized you were climbing. As you move forwards, Darren quickly stops and steps backwards, his face suddenly showing a look of extreme and utter fear, as well as some surprise. Looking at what he was looking at, you see that the river has gone into a waterfall. It wasn’t a particularly big one, but it was very steep and the path of the water was very thin, so if he would have fallen off where he was stepping, he would most likely have died. Staring over the edge, you turn to Darren and watch as his attention seems to be diverted. Looking at what he’s looking at, you notice that there was another riddle placed below. On the ground below the cliff. Darren turns to you, and with an unsure tone questions ‘Well, I’m sure we’re both thinking it. How on earth do we get to that clue?”

How do you react?
I myself would like to apologize for how little I reply to your updates, dude.
Here's my Member's Post thing, too.

Paul was a little bit taken aback when the woman he had met snapped at him. He hadn’t meant for his question to cause any offense- what would be the correct way to address a situation like this, anyway? He then smiled to himself after she mentioned “finding protection aeons ago”. What an old bag. He followed the woman as she rambled on about her son, and the ekans population, and the arbok population that had what seemed to Paul to be some sort of genetic disorder.

“What are ekans eating crops, for, wouldn’t they go after something, y’know, a little meatier?” Paul inquired quietly, not really intending to interrupt her.

She began to ramble more about her days as a Pokémon trainer, which was probably back in the late 19th century as far as Paul could tell. Why do old people always insist on telling you their life stories? It was at this point that Paul started to tune her out; he could care less about Pokémon battles that happened eight hundred centuries ago.

Eventually they came to her house, which was cute in Paul’s eyes. Houses that are on their own in the middle of nowhere could either be cute or unsettling, and this one had too good a view to be considered the latter. However, after seeing the view off of the plateau, Paul began to wish that he had stayed where he was, smoking his marijuana and looking up at the pretty meteor showers. He shrugged it off. Maybe there would be food inside.

Paul was rather taken aback when he entered the house, too. Here, some middle-aged weirdo, started talking to him about the government. Paul began to smile and giggle at this confrontation- how could anyone mistake a man like him for a government worker? Paul was a man who looked like something Woodstock shat out 20 years too late, who, apparently, could be mistaken for a government worker. Paul smiled at the absurdity of this situation, then at the pure desperation of this scientist who lost his job, and who at his age still lives with his mother. Paul had wandered into a very sad place, the cuteness was gone, now.

“Well, who needs government funding, anyway?” Paul finally said after Mr. Mountain finished rambling on and on. Maybe the rambling was genetic. “You’re a fired scientist, man, you have years and years of experience making bombs or collecting bugs or whatever it is you people do, yeah? Be true to yourself! Go out there and catch yourself one of those snakes, and then cut it open and tell the world what you find, and then you can laugh at them, hah, hah, hah.” The last bit of laughter was very mechanical, and hopefully emphasized what he was trying to say. Paul was really smiling, now that he thought he had inspired this old man (but not necessarily his older mother). He added “If I were you, though, I’d just smoke a bowl and chill out a little,” and raised his index and middle fingers, indicating peace.

Raunchyfad: Daniel listened to what the man was saying, and seemed to consider that he really didn’t need government funding for a second, but then he shook his head. “Maybe you’re right. Maybe I don’t need the funding, but credibility was something that I could certainly do with. Even if I marched up and showed them the corpse of one of the Arbok, who would believe me? Some would say I’d tampered with the body to make it look real, and some would say I was simply using this as an excuse to get back into the scientific community. No, without funding I’ll just look like a lying fool. Which I’m not.” As he listened to the second part of what you were saying, he couldn’t help but smirk. “Making Bombs? If only; that would be useful. No, my work generally focused on natural science. Fat lot of good that did me. Sure, I can identify the different between a Male and Female Weedle, but I couldn’t hold down a job as a Weedle specialist. It was the only job I was good at, or at least the only job I thought I was good at. I suppose you’re right, though. Catching a snake would probably be the next best move.” And in response to the last statement, he simply said “I’m asthmatic.” You’re not sure whether he’s telling the truth or not, but you drop the matter momentarily as he reaches down for his belt. “If I’m going to capture one of these Arbok, I’ll need my Pokemon to help me.” He unclipped what appeared to be some form of Safari Ball, Kantos to be specific, and pressing the button on the middle created an immediate effect. Shooting a jet of red energy into the air, a figure formed itself in front of you and the man, smaller than both of you by quite a large margin. Glancing around itself, the Grass Type known as Gloom didn’t look particularly excited to be out its Pokeball, as after the inspection of the area it just stared absentmindedly at the wall, slobber dripping slowly out of its pink lips. It was quite a bizarre creature, only 1ft8 in height and having a dark blue skin, a flower like structure coming out of its head, red in color. By the look on Daniels face, you can clearly see that he holds some sort of disgust towards the Pokemon, yet for some reason he’s capture it. Strange.

“Mother, I’m going out.” He noted to his parent, who sighed but nodded. She didn’t seem entirely pleased about the idea of her son going out, and although your not sure why, you decide to go along with him. The pair of you go outside, and head forwards towards a patch of grass in front of the house. “Now, the reason I’ve sent out Gloom is the aromas that she can produce with her flower. And with her sweet scent attack, she can attract any Arboks easily. The only issue is that she sometimes attracts too many, which has resulted in some uh…accidents. Anyway, Gloom, use sweet scent.” The Gloom nodded, and then seemed to do nothing for a long time, just standing there and barely moving except to breath. But then the smell comes to your nose, and you see why the Arbok would be attracted. The stench was so alluring, so attracting, that it made you want to snatch up the Gloom and keep all the smells to yourself. Thankfully you had self control, but it seemed that certain Pokemon didn’t. Unfortunately for Daniel, he didn’t initially attract quite the Pokemon he wanted too. What you saw were tiny orange bugs, crawling along slowly towards the Gloom who radiated such a beautiful smell. Three of the same Pokemon in total were coming closer, each with a pair of mushrooms seated upon their back, and you soon found out their names when Daniel nervously said “Paras. I hadn’t quite expected any Pokemon other than Arbok to arrive, so I kinda left my fire type back in the house. I’d go back and get it, but I’m worried about what will happen to Gloom if I do. Mind fending the bugs off? They’re fairly weak in strength, I believe.” He smiled at you, attempting to encourage you to help him. Why he didn’t bring his fire type in the first place, you weren’t certain. Sure, fire types weren’t good against Poison, but it’s always useful to have as many Pokemon as you can with you, right? Regardless, you have two very plain options ahead of you. Either help the man and his Gloom so he can get the Arbok, or leave and go back to what you were doing previously. Both were perfectly liable, but only one would be helping someone other than yourself to do well.

How do you react?

How do you react?
I'm sorry about not replying for so long. I'm also sorry about changing my opinion about where I want to go. I'll definitely reply more often from here on out.

Rayne assessed his situation carefully. This wasn't the first time he had run into a ghost in his adventures, and probably wasn't going to be the last. His mind raced back to several years past, when he had somehow ended up in the Haunted Mansion. That trip turned out to be a fruitful one, seeing as he made his first capture; a lovely Chimecho that his then Carvanha made short work from. Instead of turning back at this point Rayne pressed on, soon wishing he had left after his successful capture. Inside the Mansion he stumbled upon a slumbering Gengar, an opponent much to strong for his squad. In his attempt to sneak past the sleeping ghost he ended up causing a huge racket and was soon after chased out of the Mansion by a bunch of pissed off spirits.

"Torr..." Zodiac moaned quietly, shaking his head in warning. Something about this ghost made Zodiac uncomfortable, and although Rayne was curious to see what the ghost wanted, he sympathised with his weary Tauros.

"You don't feel comfortable here, do you buddy?" Rayne asked, shifting his eyes to look at the beckoning ghost.

"Pfft." The Tauros snorted, slamming his front right hoof to the ground.

"Alright, we won't stick around then. But where should we go?" Zodiac snorted, elated with the great news. Rayne wondered to himself what could have set of such a reaction in Zodiac. The boy didn't seem all that menacing, and yet Zodiac wasn't going to go anywhere near it. Rayne concluded Zodiac, being a pokemon, probably sensed something that Rayne, as a human, could not. "I feel like heading back to that forest Zodiac, there's a certain pokemon I'm looking for that might be lurking in there." Zodiac's reaction was that of disgust, he had no intention of stepping foot in that forest. "If you don't want to go that's fine. I'll call on you only in an emergency. Sound fair?" Rayne asked.

"Tauros, sus!" Rayne took that to mean he preferred that option. So without wasting anymore time the two of them headed towards the Cloud Forest, the same spot the two of them had their first adventure together.

It didn't take them all that long to reach the edges of the forest. Rayne couldn't be sure this was where the two had entered when they were here last, but it did look familiar.

"This is as close as I'll make you come Zodiac." The wild bull pokemon nodded in agreement, before the red beam from his pokeball sucked him in. Rayne knew exactly what pokemon he was searching for, and he did understand that finding one would not be easy, but it was worth a try. Who knew, maybe he would end up on another thrilling adventure, one he never planned on. Slowly he looked over the pokeballs clipped on his belt. It was basically a no brainer who he would pick; Hephaestus, his Chimchar. Although he was the newest party member, this fiery monkey had quickly won over the love and respect of the rest of the squad. Sure he was the rookie, but it's been more than two years since Rayne caught this crying Chimchar in Excelsior; plenty of time for the squad to get acquainted. He unclipped his ball and pressed the releasing mechanism.

"Chimchim, chim chim chim chimchim. Char!" He sure was excited. The little monkey ran around on all fours, running circles around Rayne while chirping at the top of his lungs. This was Hephaestus' first adventure after all. Soon after saving him from certain death and escaping the odd land of Excelsior, Rayne gave up adventuring for a while. Rayne and his whole squad then went back to his home town of Cinnabar, where they spent a lot of time training in the surrounding area and sparring with Blaine. While he had never been on a real quest yet, this young Chimchar wasn't helpless. In fact as far as power goes he could almost match some of Rayne's older squad mates. Imagine how strong he would be when he evolved. He would definitely give Minerva a run for her money in a friendly spar.

"Hephaestus. Come her boy." Rayne called out. The Chimchar stopped his maniacal running and looked up his trainer. After a few moments he finally decided to listen, and swiftly used Rayne's body as a climbing platform before coming to rest on Rayne's head. "Ready for your first real adventure? We'll see how that training has paid off for you won't we?" Hephaestus jumped around eagerly. With that the two of them walked into the Cloud Forest, ready for whatever waited for them.

How do you react?
Three Pokémon draped downwards in exhaustion as the red light covered their exteriors, the pokéball mechanism sucking them back into the containment spheres in which they were accustomed to,; slowly withdrawing the masses until they stood no more, the spaces once occupied now blank. Step by step, Matthew made his way up the grassed hill with deep breaths of exertion following him, joined by Shinx, Magmortar and Castform aligned in their usual place; Lexi on his shoulder, Nimbus hovering gracefully above his head and Magmortar strolling beside him. Drawing in deep breaths to make sure the awe not overtake him but surround him, Matthew let his eyes wander as the beauty of comet’s corner shone like no other expect after the arduous fight that he had sustained with the Dugtrio. With no less than the awed silence that the landscape deserved, Matthew looked at his companions; the Castform floating with the same look that succumbed on his face while the Magmortar strode along with the normal strut it held so confidently yet Matthew saw through the shell and into the heart of his Pokémon, realizing within the depths of its eyes it shared the same sense of overwhelming as he did.

Recognising faces as he clambered to the climax of the hill, Matthew saw the thankful faces of those who had been saved from the destruction, their carriages lay at the bottom of the hill destroyed while their Pokémon lay in spheres damaged but alright, the withstanding and hardiness of Pokémon much more than that of man. Looking into the air, the time seemed perfect and taking just a quick respite, the ceremony began, Stella having no sympathy to waste. With the old medium having completed the sacred arts of the ceremony over many-a-year, the whole system began to really start, the Granbull and Stella ready to start the proceedings as the slow plod behind Matthew alerted him of Dragomir’s presence. Absent of Pokémon, Matthew smiled to Dragomir as a murmur rounded the crowd with interest as the mystical tradition began with the standard talking about wishes and how disappointed they would be if they didn’t get that said wish.

Peeking over heads to try and spot Stella over the massive crowds but it proved impossible, the overbearing crowds unwilling to let another person in front no matter what circumstance, not paying attention to anything behind with the incredible phenomenon in front of them. As he struggled to get through, Dragomir captured the attention of the crowd by tapping their shoulder as each of the member stepped through. Annoyed that such power came to Dragomir while they ignored him, Matthew spotted a perfect opportunity to slip through in the back draft, following closely to the gaps in Dragomir’s wake. Finding himself in the center ring of the hill, Matthew heard nothing as the excitement drew the crowds to a lulled hush with Stella raising her hand. A loud voice that sounded mystic flooded the hill as she began to speak.

“With the landing of the first comet…” she said as the comet fell with impeccable timing, the red glow of fire covering the outer spaced asteroid, the sky lighting softly against the aura of crimson and yellow.”The ceremony shall begin.”

Turning round from the mysteriously timed shooting star race from the sky in harmony, Matthew noticed the pupil’s on Stella’s face disappear and be replaced with pure white as her body shakes with vigorous without any rhythm, a random pattern of shakes. While it seems only concerning for the children, Matthew looked around at the adults with no remorse as if it was a normal process, and Matthew guessed it kinda was. Nobody was able to contend their excitement as they all felt the tension build upwards. Looking down, Matthew saw the angry face of the Granbull have no change in heart as it looks as angry as it normally does. Having no idea of what type of damage the process could be doing to the woman, Matthew finds himself enraptured in the feeling of excitement without a care in the world about her well-being. As the comets fell heavily, the pieces broke before hitting the earth, some hitting the crowd before the ground, without any repercussions due to the small pieces. Bending down, Matthew grabbed one before pocketing it, taking another for a souvenir, just to make sure.

Looking over the crowds, Matthew saw a smile drape across Dragomir’s face as he followed in suit, picking up a piece of the rubble and stashing it in his pocket before returning his gaze to Stella. This time he doing the following, Matthew moved his head round so his eyes matched Stella’s only to find her eyes turn back to normal, the crowd began to murmur with discontent, the wide spread rumors of ‘this doesn’t usually happen’ spreading to his ears.

“I…can’t believe it.” Stella whispered as Matthew began to sense something wrong, “The wishmaker has decided to honour the wish left by Matthew… and visit the earth herself.” As a large set of eyes all turned towards Matthew, his cheeks burned red as he put on an attempted smile. Following closely, the large ripple of spoken astonishment made its way back to the crowd like a pebble in a lake as his own shocked voice starts it. Matthew ran the situation in his head, over and over. The wishmaker coming to earth, and all because of me?. Turning to face Dragomir, Matthew found the man no longer in his presence, only to turn back and think nothing of it.

Turning back to Stella in await of the wishmaker, Matthew turned out not to be disappointed as the sky shone a bright white as a light pulsated above Stella’s head as the wishmaker arrived in spectacular fashion. Although far too bright for many of the crowd and forcing them to move away, Matthew stared into the light as it dimmed down to reveal the pixie-like Jirachi, cute short legs creating a triange alongside the distinguished triangled head.

A legend states that Jirachi will make true any wish that is written on the notes attached to head when it awakens. If this Pokémon senses danger, it will fight without awakening.

Matthew’s pokedex whirred with life as he spotted the legendary Pokémon, his first ever sighting and so soon in his career. Blessing the God Arceus for the chance to see Jirachi, the white and yellow scrolls hanging from the beautiful body and a smile crept across his face, real joy entering him as he couldn’t stop his smile from spreading.

This however, soon turned to horror as a cry emerged from Jirachi’s lips as it soon did his, a net covering the legendary Pokémon before returning to its origin. Expecting as a lone hunter to be the source of his problems, Matthew felt aggrieved as he saw Dragomir at the held riding a Dodrio, a gun in hand as Matthew’s expression soon turned to anger.

No. This can’t be happening. Jirachi was my own making and now he’s turned on me and also the people he loves. No. I will not allow this. Matthew thought to himself before grasping some pokéball from his belt, withdrawing both Magmortar and Castform and replacing them with fresh Pokémon, an Alakazam and Aerodactyl standing in their wake. As they burst from the pokéball, the Alakazam kneeled in response while the shrill cry of the fossil was replaced by an arched back so Matthew could fly.

“Perfect. Zero, you’ll Fly me and Lexi over the Dodrio. Remember they run fast, but they can’t fly so we’ll have the aerial edge. They also have a lot of power in their legs, but they can only kick frontward so be wary. If you can get in a good shot, give it an Aerial Ace from behind and an Ancient Power for good measure.

Alakazam, I know you’ve got the best psychopowers in the land so what I want you to do is Teleport a good way in front of the Dodrio and when you can Disable its running. Then Psychic to get the net-gun out of Dragomir’s hand and get Jirachi out of there.

Lexi, you’ll deal with whatever else Dragomir has. He’s a tricky contestant and a good fighter but he has something we want. We can’t let these get away and I promise I’ll play ball with you every day for a week if you can help me out. Thunderbolt either the Dodrio or whatever he brings out and then follow on the same target with a Sludge Bomb and then when it’s blinded follow with another Thunderbolt.”

Matthew smiled as underneath he wracked with guilt. Why would Dragomir do this? As he felt a burning sensation, he gripped his hands together, clicking his knuckles as he climbed atop Zero, Lexi still sitting on his shoulder with pride and encouragement…

Paul slowly shook his head at this unfortunate little man. Never before had he met someone who had so little confidence in their life’s work. So, the scientific community would consider the corpse of an obviously ill animal to be a forgery?

“If you give them a dead arbok that has glass eyeballs and a polyester pelt, man, maybe then those eggheads up top will consider your snake a fake.” Paul found it incredibly sad that Daniel has been so manipulated by the capitalistic ideals of the world outside. Perhaps spending too much time with his mother had caused him to develop these ideals on his own, inside. “It doesn’t take millions of dollars to cut something open,” Paul added.

He listened to the scientist babble about his dreams were broken when he was incapable of studying weedles. Anyone can study a weedle in their own back yard. Sad, sad, sad.

Daniel proved himself to not be a complete failure, however, since he did show off his pokémon. It had evolved, unlike most of Paul’s collection. Surely, even if the man was incapable of keeping a successful career as a scientist, he could at least make a once happy radish grow a tumor atop its head and look sad. Despite the unhappy face plastered on the front of the gloom, and the look of disdain plastered on the face of Daniel, Paul once again appeared to be happy. He liked pokémon, no matter how forlorn they looked. He also liked being outside, which is where he ended up going when the old man said goodbye to his absolutely archaic mommy.

Paul couldn’t help but snort, “I hope she still cooks dinner for you.”

After Daniel described the gloom’s purpose, Paul sat back and enjoyed the smell, all the while slowly inching towards the gloom who did no more than ooze and smell fantastic. He managed to get pretty close to the lazy rafflesia before other little critters managed to get closer to it, too. When this happened, Daniel began to babble again about fire types, and fending them off, and whatnot. Paul simply thought they were adorable.

“Sure, I’ve got Mr. Pipes with me, but…” Paul said, looking wide-eyed at the little group of parases that inched towards them. “But, look at… at those mushrooms!” The hippie was in the wrong state of mind. He had done no research on paras mushrooms, and had no idea what their toxicity was, but he could tell for sure that they probably had a huge amount of psilocybin packed into a cute little red and white polka dot package. He looked into the big, round eyes of one of the parases. He reached for his belt and popped out Mr. Pipes to humor the old man, then shuffled through his rucksack until he found an as-of-yet unused bug ball.

Being a pacifist, and therefore coaxing the usually feisty Mr. Pipes to act as a pacifist, Paul and his magby inched on their bellies towards one of the three little parases. Both the trainer and his pokémon looked excited.

“Honestly, Danny boy, why would I hurt one of these little guys?” Paul asked. “They don’t do much other than dig holes in the ground, don’t they? Let’s make friends.” He held out his hand towards one of the little buggies, and Mr. Pipes, smiling a ducky smile, did the same. They were going to make friends.

Sorry for the slight wait everybody. And Dark Fire, don't worry about changing area, I honestly had no idea where that journey was going to head. xD

Comets Corner - Please reply in Red

Treepandaone: The outrage of the gypsy citizens mimics that of your own as Dragomir flees the scene, and you quickly spring into action, determined to save Jirachi from the treacherous man. Returning two of your Pokemon team, a Magmortar and a Castform, you send out two Pokemon more skilled in the art of pursuit, an Alakazam and Aerodactyl which was only recently returned. As the gargoyle like creature arched its back, you climb aboard with the female Shinx Lexi who’s been with you throughout the whole journey thus far. A look of confusion was plastered on the face of the blue cat, as well as on the faces of the majority of the people gathered. Several people reach for pokeballs, a variety of Pokemon being sent out into the area in an attempt to regain the wishmaker. You quickly glance through the varieties of Pokemon, and realize none of the Pokemon present are anywhere near fast enough to catch up with the three headed bird. It seems that once again the task shall be up to you. Knowing you would have to move now, you instruct all three of your currently released Pokemon orders, and set off into the winds, Zero being the current choice of transport. Zooming up above the area, you realize that the Dodrio has been making ground a lot quicker than you would have expected, its feet beating against the ground at a much faster pace than any human could manage. From the constant pace it keeps, it’s obvious that Dragomir must have spent a long time training this Pokemon to be able to initiate such a plan. How long he must have planning this is uncertain, but with the precise timing, you can’t help but think it must have been quite a few years. The motive was the most puzzling thing about the whole event. Although you didn’t know the man, he didn’t seem inherently evil, but if he had planned for many years like you suppose, he could just be a good actor. Returning your mind to the point at hand, the fact that the man had betrayed the whole gypsy colony and yourself, you found it easier to think about taking him down

Your Pokemon seem to share a similar philosophy, and your Alakazam springs into action, Crusade accepting that this would be an appropriate time to follow orders, the legendary wishmaker at risk, and therefore the whole world. Charging a portion of psychic energy into himself, he vanished from his stationary position, and appeared a decent amount in front of Dragomir and the Dodrio. Preparing to complete its orders, you notice that what seems to be a smile forms on Dragomirs face. As Zero flies down closer to the ground in an attempt to start his orders, you notice Dragomir grab three red spheres from his belt. You gulp slightly, knowing that if he had three orbs, at least one of the Pokemon about to be released had never been sighted before by yourself. Flinging two orbs behind him, as well as one in front of him, the shape of three Pokemon form near to his stampeding bird. On the side closest to you, the familiar shape of his Poliwrath is formed, staring up at your flying Pokemon with a look of distaste. Next to him, another fighting type stands, Dexter once again there to enter the fray, but this time on the opposite side. Chucking what appeared to be some sort of flask backwards; Hariyama grabbed his master’s gift and downed it full. You stare with horror as the wounds and cuts on the Pokemons body fade away, a full restore having been the item of choice. In front of Crusade, the third and therefore unknown Pokemon is released, the figure forming into that of some sort of oddly shaped wolf. Having white fur, short legs, and a blade on its head and rear, the Absol stares down Crusade menacingly. It seems now that the chancs of you defeating Dragomir have decreased by a large portion, four Pokemon against your three. Resolving to continue his orders regardless of foe, Crusade charges up a large portion of psychic energy, and attempts to Disable the Dodrio rushing towards it. Unfortunately, as the Dodrio gets in range, Absol leaps onto its back alongside Dragomir, and as the psychic energy attempts to work, the dark typing of Absol negates its effects. Similarly, it’s obvious that Psychic will not work with the Absol in the presence of the bird, so Crusade ignores the order, rather moving out the way before he’d be crushed by the speeding roadrunner.

On the other side of the battlefield, it seems the match up is a bit more fair, Lexi immediately charging up her electrical energy and launching it at the Pokemon most susceptible, Poliwrath. As the electrical attack heads towards the water type, though, Dexter sidesteps in front of it, and takes the electrical attack full on. Pain is evident on his face, but with the fact he was just fully recovered, the attack isn’t going to finish him off that easily. Before Lexi can retaliate, and before Zero can initiate the attack on the departing Dodrio, Poliwrath is ready to strike, launching a powerful hydro pump smashing into Zero while leaping over the Hariyamas back. Crying out in pain, Zero is knocked smashing into the ground, and you all feel the pain of the impact as Zero can no longer hold your weight. Slowly pushing yourself up, you find yourself surrounded by two large fighting Pokemon, both ready to strike you down should you try and fight them. Lexi still has her orders in mind, though, and swiftly launches a Sludge Bomb at the two Pokemon in front of her, blinding them both with the spray of bubbles hitting their eyes. Sensing your chance to escape, you sprint away from the fighting types, both of your Pokemon coming with you as you race towards Crusade. Zero is luckily still able to fly, but won’t be carrying your weight again anytime soon. As you run, Lexi fires another thunderbolt, and this time it hits the desired target, Poliwrath crying out in anguish from the super effective strike. You reach Crusade, and realize you only have moments before the fighting Pokemon will be coming after you again.

How do you react?

Raunchyfad: Daniel was more amused than surprised as he watched you go flat on your belly and crawl towards the mushroom Pokemon with your fire type, but also largely concerned as he watched you go onwards. “You do realize that their mushrooms produce a variation of status effects, right..?” But the man knew that it would be worthless to try and convince you that the creatures were harmless, so simply watched anxiously as you reached towards one of the three Pokemon. Being relatively timid Pokemon, one of the bug types squealed and rushed away as soon as you were in their sight, returning to wherever the bugs had come from. The other two, however, seemed much braver than their friend, and one of them was actually heading towards your outstretched hand. Alas, it seemed that the Paras didn’t want to be your friend quite yet, and upon your hand touching one of the Pokemons mushrooms an electrical powder is immediately excreted. The feeling is an odd sensation, the feeling of an electric burst spreading throughout your body and down your spine. It’s strange, but not too unpleasant, at least until you find your limbs completely immobilized while your body lies chest down on the floor. And seeing the fire type positioned closely in front of the pair of insects, the Paras frantically Scratches down on your face, leaving two not particularly deep cuts. This frees some of your body from the paralysis, but not enough to move at this point, the Paras angrily staring you down in the face. The second Paras has different plans. Seeing that the coast is now clear of you, it slowly scampered towards Daniel and his Gloom in the center of the grassy patch. The Gloom looks down at the Pokemon worriedly as it approaches it, and glances up at its trainer in hope of some support. Unfortunately, Daniel seems to be in no condition to do so, having been unable to bring his fire type and seemingly not owning a flying type either. He considers picking up a stick and hitting the bug, but thought against it, knowing that his scientist ex colleagues wouldn’t be encouraging if that sort of news came out. Considering it for a few more moments, he reached down for his belt and gripped a Pokeball off of it, flinging it up into the air and releasing what must be his third Pokemon, as he’s already mentioned both Gloom and a fire type.

“Golduck, let’s go!” He cries, and the red light emitted from the sphere slowly forms into the shape of a duck, the creature standing at around five foot seven as it emerged, blue in color with a spiked head, almost crest like. “Right, I know that you’re not effective against grass types, but you’re all I have for now. I’m relying on you.” The duck nodded, and immediately moved into battle positions, charging up a beam of icy energy in his bill. With a simple head gesture to command Gloom to move out the way, the ice energy slammed straight into the Paras in the form of a ray. Crying out in pain, the Paras moved swiftly backwards, departing as soon as it could from the completely unfair battle scene. This left Gloom free once again to continue with the swift scent making, but the Paras that stands in front of you seems too interested in staring at you curiously to bother with any form of smell. It’s unclear as of right now how the Pokemon would react should you try to capture it, but that’s slightly besides the point as you’re still unable to move your left arm, and either of your legs. The situation doesn’t look good, but you won’t allow yourself to be bested by a mushroom covered bug, right? You’ll at least try to free yourself from the strain, right?

How do you react?

Cloud Forest - Please reply in limegreen

Dark Fire: It seems that the mystical experiences of Memory Lane aren’t quite to your taste after all, and with some confirmation from Zodiac, you decide to depart, choosing a different venue for your adventure through the cloud garden. Deciding upon the location of your first venture with the Tauros, the Cloud Forest, the pair of you set off back on the path you came on, taking a fairly short journey to perhaps one of the grandest and most serene locations in the Cloud Garden. Reaching the border of the forest as you notice more and more trees coming around you, you decide that it’s best to return the Tauros to its pokeball, opting to take another Pokemon on the journey of the day. Sending out your fire type monkey, the Chimchar Hephaestus looked happy to finally be going on his first journey since the now closed off region of Excelsior. With a good portion of training under its belt, the Chimchar feels like he’s ready for anything, as do you as you walk into the thicker parts of the forest as a duo. Looking around you notice a variety of woodland creatures going through their daily process. Spinarak crawl up and down the bark of the trees, Kakuna hang off the branches with silk like threads. The amount of different species of Pokemon astounds you, and you realize that very little has changed since your last trip to the forest. At least, that’s what the case seems to be, as you really haven’t seen much of the forest in its entirety before, and you soon find yourself in a part of the forest you’re sure you’ve never been in prior. The fire monkey seems to have mixed feelings about the habitat. Although a monkey, the Chimchar was also a fire type, so the two contradicting factors of whether he should like the forest or not have left him with a fairly neutral opinion so far. But with no adventures under his belt thus far, he probably would even be happy with an underwater kingdom for it. His enthusiasm rubs off on you, and you can’t shrug off the feeling that today is truly going to be the start of something amazing. Then again, it was more than likely you would simply end up wandering madly with no clue of how to get out, and having never sighted any glimpses of the Pokemon you’re looking for. No, that wouldn’t be fun at all. Continuing to walk through a large portion of the day, you decide to take a rest on the bark of a large tree. Upon sitting down, you realize just how tired you are, and decide to rest your eyes. Slowly and surely, you begin to drift off into a slumber, and Hephaestus imitates this, seeing no reason to stay awake while you’re asleep.

Opening your eyes, you find yourself in a completely different environment to that of which you were previously in. Although it’s clearly night, you are somehow able to see quite clearly, and looking up to the sky you gasp in shock. The moon looked absolutely huge above you, and even though you knew that it couldn’t be any larger than it normally is, the sight was beginning to convince you otherwise. Nudging your partner Pokemon politely, Hephaestus pushes himself up and shares a similar reaction to the one that you do. As you stand up, you look around at the trees nearby, and notice that you in fact happened to stop in some form of clearing, the tree you were resting on being one of the border trees. In the middle of the clearing, some sort of stone tablet was standing, quite impressive to look at. From the looks of things, it must be the location of some sort of ancient civilizations ritual performing site, and you can’t help but feel a mystical aura coming off it. Maybe it was just your imagination. Turning around to move onwards, you yelp in pain as you feel a sharp object connect with your neck. Reaching round to find the source of pain, you feel a crippling blow dealt to your lower legs, and you fall to the floor, crying loudly in pain. Looking towards your attacker, you see a half naked man, obviously of tribal descent, with an over the top painting of an eye on his bare, muscled chest. On his face, a third eye is painted above his twin regular eyes, and his hair is completely shaved. His undergarments are made completely of some sort of brown feather, and are wrapped around his waist in a design much like a dress. Looking up at the man, Hephaestus isn’t sure how to react, dealing vengeance being a very good idea, but at the same time the man was armed with a spear, and the monkey probably wouldn’t survive a jab through the chest from one of those. As you look around, you notice three more similarly clad men make their way into the clearing, and you find yourself gulping.

How do you react?

Paul didn’t hear any warning, he didn’t even consider what the effects of these mushrooms were, all he knew is that they looked awfully tasty, awfully psychoactive. He was disappointed when one of the paras ran away at first. He was less disappointed when the feistier paras gave him a happy hello. A poke and a sniff, and Paul entered mushroom euphoria, or so he thought. He had entered a slight dream-like state for maybe a split second, but maybe this was just the subconscious telling him that he had lost control of his entire body. The feisty paras then clawed his face. The sudden stimulation from the scratch caused Paul’s face to loosen up a little bit, and then sent painful pins and needles down his right arm as the feeling regained itself. Paul moved his arm around and banged it on the ground a few times to stop the prickling, and did so successfully.

He was able to move his head enough to be able to look at the now panicking gloom behind him. What a sad flower. All it wanted to do was sit then and stink up the place and make friends like Paul did, too, and all of a sudden a big old cicada baby was going to come and ruin its smelliness. Mr. Scientist Daniel saved his honey plant with his big icy blue platypus, leaving one little paras behind.

Paul couldn’t help but interject, “Grass types, fire types, what is this cosmic debris? You sound like you’re talking to a robot, man, like your duck was just a blue robot.” He paused, “see, look, one of them wants to be a pal.” He was beaming at the one paras who stayed in front of him. He wasn’t too embarrassed about his situation. He had been in worse spots, after all. Besides, he willingly touched one of the mushrooms, and he still had his good friend Mr. Pipes, who was sitting proudly atop Paul’s back which still lacked all feeling. He wanted to make things clear that he didn’t want to fight. He couldn’t fight, even, all he could do was flail his right arm around. He did not believe that this was the venue for a pokémon battle. “Mr. Pipes could get rid of that little orange mushroom pretty easy,” he said. “But what’s that little orange mushroom’s crime?” He reached over to his paralyzed hand and too the bug ball from it, and tossed it back to Mr. Pipes, who caught it and hopped off of Paul’s back to put it back into his big rucksack. “We could do this like civilians, or we could burn down this whole field, Danny-boy. Let’s make friends, man.”

Once again he outstretched his hand towards the paras, this time being careful to not touch his mushrooms. Mr. Pipes began to smoke a little, just in case.

Rayne woke up slowly, not quite remembering having gone to bed. A part of him wanted to be angry with himself; he knew better than that. Then again, that nap felt so good. He would forgive himself this time. Rayne nudged the sleeping Chimchar, who lazily stretched his arms and let out a drawn out yawn. The two of them admired their surroundings. It had turned to night while the two napped and so their surroundings now looked haunting in the moonlight. Without realising it Rayne had chosen a clearing to sleep in; a clearing that he now realised was encompassing some sort of tablet. Probably some sort of tribal monument …

Before he could really figure it out Rayne felt a sharp stab at his neck, and just like a reflexive reaction to a mosquito bite Rayne went to slap the at prick, only to have his legs knocked out from under him. Rayne yelled out in pain, smacking the ground with a deep thud. Beside him Hephaestus stomped the ground in anger, fuming at something Rayne couldn’t quite comprehend just yet. Rayne twisted his body slightly, his eyes coming within inches of a spear’s point. He followed the shaft back to its wielder, finally realising what had transpired just then. Instinctively, Rayne looked around and spotted three more of these tribal men around. Clearly they were outnumbered; fighting would probably not end well, especially considering his Chimchar didn’t have the speed or power to compete with four of these tribal men.

“Uhm. Speak English much guys?” Rayne wished he had taken the time to look up native information. He felt a little ignorant uttering that question so bluntly. “We mean no harm, honest …” He finished, raising his arms slowly in a signal of surrender. Hopefully he wouldn’t end up skewered on the end of this man’s spear. He could only hope at this point.

Sorry for lateness people. And I apologize to fishy, as I really think I messed at least one or two things up in the update, and it's not up to Tales brilliant standard.

Raunchyfad: “...” The expression on Daniels face said more than any words could possibly say, but with the seemingly passed on gene of talkativeness, he couldn’t help but put a bit more input into the situation. “Actually, I’m going to let you go ahead and try and befriend the Paras, because I’m fairly certain that it won’t try and befriend you. Considering the fact it already attacked you, I’m confident that I’m right.” He smiled, remaining silent for a moment while he watched you. “And I don’t treat my Pokemon like machines, as unless they were Magnemite of some sort, I understand they have personalities. I just like to keep them knowledgeable about type match-ups and strategies, as otherwise they’d probably be unlikely to survive should they be freed.” Once again he paused, stopping for a second and looking down at his Golduck. “You don’t think I treat you too much like a machine, right?” The blue duck simply shrugged, Gloom simply stared into space with its mindless drool, and you couldn’t help but find it amusing. “See? Golduck doesn’t think I treat him like a machine, so therefore you must be wrong, as Golduck are one of the most intelligent Pokemon in the world.” It seemed that Golduck took some sort of heart from his trainers words, and stood up more confidently and proudly, an expression on his face showing that it truly did believe itself to be one of the most intelligent Pokemon in the world, but whether that was true or not you were uncertain. Gloom certainly wasn’t the most intelligent Pokemon in the world, but it was evident that the plant had no care on the matter, its expression identical to the one it had at the start of the short conversation. “Right then gloom. We’ll just leave him to deal with his Paras issue, and continue on bringing in the Arbok, right?” Gloom didn’t shift its expression, but did once again begin to emit the now familiar stench, attempting to summon forth any of the red eyed Arbok that live in the local area. It was at this time you realize you probably should speed up your confrontation with the bug and grass type. You’d seen before the effect that one of the red eyed Arbok seemed to be able to have on a living creature, and ending up like that would not be a fun way to spend an afternoon.

The Paras continued to stare at you, eyes opened, and you currently couldn’t tell how the creature was going to react. If it was afraid of you, surely it would have simply run away by now, but if it was aggressive, surely it would have attacked more quickly. From the fact it wasn’t really doing anything, you can only deduct that it must be curios, trying to figure out what you are more than anything else. The chances were that this Paras had rarely ever had a chance to see a human this close up before, being attracted by the sweet scent from who knows where. Maybe the creature was living in a dark cave for its whole life, in which case this really would be an interesting experience for it. With a small click of its claws, it seems that the Pokemons mind is made up, and it crawls directly onto your head. Putting its claws into a place it can effectively grip, it makes its way onto the top of your head and simply sits there. It looks at Mr Pipes briefly, but doesn’t seem too concerned by the Pokemon, meekly saying a greeting with the noise ‘pah’. You’re not sure what this means, but you think that the Pokemon must have decided you’re not a threat, and that was surely a good start. Feeling the electricity dissipating from your body slowly, you find yourself completely unparalyzed, lying on the ground with a Paras on your head. This wouldn’t be an easy position to get yourself out from, especially with the sweet scent likely to attract one of the purple snakes fairly quickly.

How do you react?

Cloud Forest - please reply in limegreen

Dark Fire: “English?” The nearest tribesman to you questioned, looking up at his three colleagues. One of them, the shortest of the four, raised his hand and spoke some words in some non-understandable language. When he finally stops speaking, the person with a spear to your neck lowers it, and the shortest man steps forwards, scanning you briefly with his eyes. “You are now prisoner.” You, unsure as how to react, simply nod. It’s not like you have any chance of escaping right at this moment, is it? “Three us speak English. One, me, here. Two at home.” You nod again. Even if the persons English wasn’t the best in the world, it was still better than having no communication with the tribe at all. “Up.” He commanded, the person behind you once again prodding you with his spear. Thankfully this time it’s the opposite end, but you’d still rather not be hit with it if you could avoid it. Getting up, legs throbbing, you look up at the shortest man, who smiles. Now that you have a chance to get a decent look at the men in the moonlight, you notice that even though he’s the shortest of the four, this man is still taller than you. It’s an odd thing to see how tall all these people are, but still not as odd as their tribal decoration as seen prior. “You now come with me. We go home. My home, not your home.” He added, making sure that you were certain on the matter. Although he was speaking recognizable words in English, you could tell that he was uncomfortable speaking it. He obviously wasn’t fluent, and you were sure that he wasn’t certain how you actually used the language. Your continued thinking is stopped by a prodding from the stick end of the spear once more, and you start to walk at a steady pace, the four tribesman to the front, back, left and right of you, preventing any escape. Hephaestus climbs up your body and sits on your shoulder, making sure to remain close enough to you to protect you if needed. You move forwards silently through the area, though the forest itself is anything but silent. You hear calls of all sort from the nearby area, Grass, Bug and Flying types of the nocturnal kind making their way through their everyday business. You imagine how free it must feel to be an uncaptured Pokemon. No restrictions bind you; nothing stops you from doing whatever you want. Well, at least, unless you include the large amount of predators out to get you. Maybe not so free after all.

After an unknown period of time, but what feels like around half an hour, torchlight takes you out of your thought sequence. Mounted in the ground were what looked like an endless row of torches on either side of your current pavement, but your eyes adjust soon enough to count around twenty altogether, the torches ending by what appears to be some form of gate. As you approach it, two of the tribe members head to what appear to be two windows on either side. The shortest tribe member (the English speaker) stands beside you, and the fourth member stands on the other side of you. You’re unsure as to what the two at the side have done, but the gate slowly opens up. As it opens, a women stands there, frowning at you as it fully opens. She speaks some non understandable words to the other tribesman, and the two on either side of you quickly grip hold of you, a third tribesman beginning to look through your pockets and the rest of your body. You look questioningly at the shortest man, and he simply says “Searching you for weapon.” You nod. It’s understandable that they’re looking for a threat, but still quite irritating. Finally, you’re dropped to the ground, and the woman begins to speak in English. “Who are you? And why do you find it acceptable to intrude on our land?” Obviously, this woman is a fluent English speaker, and you can easily tell that she wasn’t born one of these tribe members, her fair skin and hair giving her away easily.

How do you react?

Delibird Ridge - Please reply in burlywood

Seakittenyfool: “I can’t say that I delight in this sort of cowardly behavior, but I understand that rushing in guns-a-blazing might not be the best idea…fine. But if we get caught, you’ll be facing the wrath of both Reagen and myself. Understood?” You nod, and prepare to crawl through the tunnel. As you do, your Infernape carries out its orders to set fire to the above area with some Ember attacks, hoping to provide some form of distraction to the men above. Firing towards the tunnel Eustace came out off, the fire soon lit up the nearby area, the wood setting alight as it did so. Swiftly crawling onwards, being followed by Eustace and your Pokemon, you knew that you’d have to go pretty quickly for the distraction to still be working when you arrive at the room Regean was in. Time was off the essence, so you continued to increase your pace, Eustace keeping up to the best of his ability as the tunnel went on. You weren’t completely sure how long the tunnel went on for, or the exact location that it came out, but you reckoned that you’d end up at least somewhere near where Regean was. The warmth from Volcapes trail of ember was comforting, but as you crawled on the heat slowly dissipated, so Volcape launched another ember up to the roof above, making it once again bright and warm. “Quite a duteous Pokemon you have there, I see.” Eustace exclaimed, his voice breaking the former silence of the previously silent tunnel. He smiles, and after your reaction silence once again surrounds the tunnel as the group move onwards. Occasionally you turn your head, and find almost every time that your fellow human has quite a sour expression on his face. It’s easy to see why he would be, having been beaten up so easily and dropped down into a small, tight tunnel with a complete stranger. That and he no longer had his gun, which he seemed the sort of man to like more than he probably should do. Unsure whether to try and cheer the man up, you simply turn back to facing forwards and continue your crawling. Eventually you come to some form of crossroads, one tunnel continuing the way it went, and the other spiraling off in another direction. “This is a grand place for a pause if I say so myself.” And before you could agree or disagree, he was already sitting with his back to one of the tunnel walls, clearly not fully recovered from being beat up earlier in the day. He sighed, and you decided that a quick rest wouldn’t do too much.

You gave him about thirty seconds, but then you knew you had to put your foot down. You quickly decided to head straight on, and you continued your crawling, eventually reaching the end of the tunnel and emerging in a cave similar to that in which you went down in the first place. The only issue was that you currently had absolutely no idea where you were in relation to Reagan. You look down at Eustace, who also crawls out the tunnel, followed by your Pokemon, and notice the expression on the mans face being somewhat different to that in the cave. He put his finger to his lips, and put a hand to his ear as if telling you to listen to something. Doing as he says and listening, you realize that the man was right. Somebody was definitely nearby, as you could hear quite loud talking. However, with three different exits in the room (one being the tunnel in which you entered), you have to identify which exit to head through. It seems the decision is made for you, though, as you here footsteps heading this way. Quickly, Eustace grabs you and pulls you against the cave wall, beckoning your Pokemon to follow him. The group of you remain completely still, crouched low, and hope that you don’t get identified from by the person who was speaking. You can’t identify what they’re saying yet, but their voice seems to cease as you see a long shadow come across the cave, the crystals on the roof being enough to provide light. If this was one of Reagans men, this would be the perfect opportunity to capture him and find the way to the cave where the criminal was.

Yes! They spoke English. The sound of the broken, heavily accented English of the tribesman was a great relief. The relief washed over Rayne quickly, but didn’t last long. Like an adrenaline rush right before the severity of your situation sinks in once again, Rayne swiftly realised he’s not out of the woods just yet.

“You now come with me. We go home. My home, not your home.” Said the tribesman, once again making sure Rayne knew where he stood on the matter. It was rather uncomfortable walking with these four men encircling them; why were they so overprotective. The most disconcerting bit of their trek was the fact that even the shortest of the men was taller than Rayne (and Rayne wasn’t short by any means, at six feet he was well above average height). Combine their height with the menacing spears they carried and the discomfort Rayne felt amplified. Hephaestus, who had wailed and squealed during the original confrontation, had settled a bit, jumping onto Rayne’s shoulder as the five men marched towards the natives’ home. While the Chimchar put on a calm façade, Rayne could feel his heartbeat, which was racing so fast Rayne wondered how it didn't rip out his ribcage. Hephaestus was certainly not letting his guard down, ready to fight if the situation calls for it.

“Take it easy bud. We’ve been through worse.” Rayne tried to pacify his young partner, getting jabbed by the butt of a spear for his effort. Maybe it would be better to keep quiet for now. Hephaestus’ heart rate didn’t slow. Rayne should have known; while his older partners have found themselves in grave danger, this was after all, Hephaestus first adventure. Before this experience, the most danger he faced as a member of Rayne’s squad would probably have been the time he found himself in the crosshairs of Plague after a bad misunderstanding (another one of Tallon’s classical pranks in which Hephaestus was framed). So it should not have surprised him that his heart rate had not slowed a bit even as they finally approached their destination. After what seemed like half an hour or so, a quiet walk filled with the chirping of free wild pokemon, they approached a torch lit path leading up to a gate. They had made their destination. Two of the tribesmen walked towards the gate, summoning a woman which barks something in their native tongue. Before Rayne could even blink two of the men grab a hold of him while a third rifles through his pockets and pats him down. Alarmed, Rayne shot the English speaker a questioning look.

“Searching you for weapon.” That made sense, but still annoying. As they finished, and he is tossed to the ground abruptly, Rayne breathes another sigh of relief. They didn’t touch his pokeballs. Hephaestus might not be able to guard himself against the spears of the natives, but the other five members he tagged along could. His pokemon were his weapons, and for that reason he was glad they did not confiscate his team.

“Who are you? And why do you find it acceptable to intrude on our land?” The woman barks, this time at Rayne. Our land? What did she mean, she was clearly not a part of this tribe. Not only did she speak fluent and clear English, but her skin and hair stuck out like a Pupitar amongst a group of Metapod. It would be worthwhile, if he survived this encounter, to see what this woman was doing here.

“Well … to be honest. I didn’t have any intentions to intrude. I’m just a pokemon trainer, looking for an adventure with Hephaestus here.” He said pointing at his irritated chimp. He answered calmly, not entirely sure what these people wanted to hear. “This is not my first time in this forest, but even then I had no clue of any boundaries that existed within it. I’m sorry for raising an alarm, but like I told your scouts here, I mean no harm. Just looking for adventure.” Rayne finished, trying to smile, but coming up with a contorted half smile. He kept his gaze locked onto the woman’s eyes, trying to read her expression.

“Does that help?” Beside him, Hephaestus jumped up and down a couple of times, squealing in anger at being held up like this. Rayne hoped it helped; he was now at the mercy of these five people.

Panting heavily, Karmas prayed to whatever was up in the sky that Darren had been able to get him out of the river. If he hadn't, the thought made shivers run up Karmas' spine. Collecting his bearings, the trainer resolved that he needed to keep going and help Darren. The detective helped him up, and the pair walked forwards. Walking a little bit slower then they did before, Karmas and Darren followed the river eventually ending up at a very high point in a dense forest. Karmas looked bewildered for a couple of seconds, he couldn't remember even walking up. However, the trainer was about to take another step forwards, but was distracted when Darren took a step backwards. Looking at what Darren appeared to be looking at Karmas saw that the river ended in a waterfall. While the waterfall didn't seem that big, it was very steep and looked like it would hurt a lot to fall down. Looking back at the detective Karmas saw that he was looking at a bit of ground below the cliff, and there was another riddle!

"Well, I’m sure we’re both thinking it. How on earth do we get to that clue?" asked Darren with an unsure tone.

Karmas looked down at the note before looking back at his trusty Ledian.

"Hey Dot?" started the trainer. "Do you think that you could fly down there and pick that note up?"

Paul couldn’t help but zone out while the professor bickered about how crappy his relationship was with the paras that stood close to the ground in front of him. Can’t be friends, huh? Well, even if the paras didn’t want to be friends, at least Paul would go so far as to give the little critter a name. When Daniel consulted his pokémon about his training mannerisms, they didn’t seem to show much emotion towards him, just as Paul would expect from such a, say, mechanical relationship. Of course, when Daniel buttered up his golduck it reacted a little bit more confidently, but poor unhappy gloom was left to sit and stink all alone.

“Smells groovy,” Paul stated as the gloom once again began to spew fumes. This was when the little paras decided it would be happier being on Paul’s soft and hairy head instead of being on the dirty ground. This change of pace made Paul ecstatic, he made friends with the paras after all, things certainly could not get any better. Things did get better, though, and the feeling came back into Paul’s body. He wasn’t so vulnerable anymore, not that it mattered, but he did take the time to slowly rise up and sit crosslegged.

He reached to his belt again and took another pokeball from it which contained Rocky, his nuzleaf. With a burst of light, she popped out, surly as ever and looked disdainfully at her surroundings. She stuck her long nose up at Daniel then gazed back at Paul, wondering why there was a gross bug on his head, and what he wanted.

“Hey baby doll,” he said to her, smiling goofily. “Think you could do what that sad radish is doing?” Of course he meant sweet scent. And of course she could do it. Though the smell was nice, Paul was a little weary of the big snake that was expected to pop out of the bushes at any given moment. Rocky was his strongest pokémon, though, and he had a feeling that she could take on the world, especially if she was irritated enough. Maybe if Rocky and the gloom smelled extra nice together, the arbok would feel so happy that his rage would disappear and he’d become a normal arbok who would swallow its prey whole instead of eating them from the inside out. One can only dream. Even if the duel sweetness from both grass pokémon didn’t make the arbok happier, it may bring the arbok quicker. Either way, the sweeter the smell, the more nervous Paul became.

“If an arbok pops out of the grass, man, and it eats me, you can punch its guts hard enough to make it throw me up again, right?” Paul grinned nervously.
