Athena checked her phone a few times while waiting. She compared the digital time to the clock on the wall, only a couple seconds off. Mille had been biding her time wandering around the Lobby, sniffing occasionally at chairs or spots on the ground. Athena chewed at a nail with slight anxiety. Had they already closed for the day? Calling Mille's attention, she made her way down the hall, coming upon a strange sight. A woman was on the floor, singing. After a quick look around, Athena couldn't see anything she might be singing to. She didn't want to immediately label her as off her rocker, but Athena still wasn't quite sure what was going on. She gently cleared her throat to announce her presence. This startled Miss Lulu, as well as whatever was under the chair she was serenading. After an awkward scramble, during which Athena could only watch in confusion, the woman stood and held out the bundle of blankets in her arms. Mille made a squeak as the bundle began to move, and two bright orange pincers emerged. Cautiously, the trianer took the Pokemon from Miss Lulu, and moved the blankets out of the way to get a better look. "Hi, you," she smiled, keeping her voice low enough to not startle the Bug type. He clicked his mandibles together joyfully, and Athena pulled her face back a bit in order to not get her hair caught in its jaws. She knelt down and placed the Pokemon next to Mille, who stuck a paw out in greeting. The Grubbin clamped down on her limb and, much to Athena's surprise, Mille didn't flinch. It seemed like the usually moody Stufful was wanting to give a warm welcome to another Alolan native. Athena collected her things and waved goodbye to Miss Lulu. "Thank you! Hope you can get some rest soon," she told the nurse, then headed out with the two Pokemon behind her Picking up my Lv. 1 male Grubbin! |

Jayson was worried about Atalanta. The Dartrix had been acting differently since her evolution. She had become much more rebellious, most of her time was spent preening her feathers, time she should have been spending on training. Thinking hard on the matter, Jayson decided that perhaps she needed some distance, some time to herself. Maybe she just needed a night to blow off some steam, hopefully that would do the trick.
Atalanta left as soon as the sun began to set, weaving off through the city in search of action. She had desires she had never had before, an urge for companionship other than that of her trainer. As she rounds the corner, Atalanta spots another bird sitting atop of streetlight in the distance. Perhaps this was the friend she was looking for? (Dropping off Atalanta the female, level 20 Dartrix to breed with Raves Honchkrow (to be confirmed) If necessary Atalanta's moveset atm is Ominous Wind (EM), Tackle, Leafage, Growl, Peck, Astonish, Razor Leaf, Smack Down (TM), Air Cutter (MT), Giga Drain (MT), Foresight, Sky Attack Last edited by TheKnightsFury; 08-10-2017 at 03:55 PM. |

Little needed to be spoken between the two entities that floated ahead of their trainer--mostly because one could read the other's mind as well as speak into it--but it wasn't like Hyrem was completely left out of the conversation. His mind was linked with Sera's after all, and he could hear everything his beloved partner was communicating to the one who would soon be helping her become a mother, although he did partially wish he knew what Ulysses was thinking. Despite being mindlinked with a max-leveled Gardevoir, he wasn't privy to the minds she was reading, it seemed; he would actually have to link his own mind to theirs in order to understand what they were thinking just like he had done with Ahri and Carla and was trying to do with a few others.
Ah, but this little story wasn't about Hyrem, was it? Let's put the focus back onto Sera and Ulysses who had been bonding together, going off on their own, and of course Sera helping Ulysses remember how to talk like a human again. Part of that involved him remembering how to say a few certain words in human speech again, and he was successful. Not only that, he had discovered that he really meant those words, and now was the time for both of them to truly express just how much those words meant to each other. As they floated inside, Hyrem was right behind them and stopped them before they were about to make their way to the desk where Dr. Grossman was waiting, saying, "Wait! Uh...before you go in...I just want to say...well, you know what I was going to say. Right." *Yes, I do,* Sera replied to his thoughts with a smile. *And I am happy to know you, as well as knowing...well, knowing love. With another Pokemon, I mean.* *Yeah,* nodded Hyrem. "Oh, you probably didn't know what we were saying, Ulysses. Well, just know that...I like the fact that you're the one she chose." "R-really?" Ulysses asked, still stammering a little even after he could talk like a human again. "Th-thank you...so much!" And with that, his blue tentacles were around Hyrem's waist, Sera's arms joining in before the trainer returned the hug. "Okay, well, good luck you two! I'll check back in a week's time to see how things are going!" He then walked over to Dr. Grossman to fill out the necessary paperwork before waving goodbye to two of his most treasured Pokemon; he could hardly wait to see what the two of them would produce! *************** Dropoff: Lv. 100 Gardevoir and Lv. 32 Frillish {Time to be the first person to use their second breeding slot, we'll see what happens with this pairing!}

Stepping into the Hatchery you find that Doctor Grossman is waiting patiently for you, already filling out a form for the pickup of your new arrival. Standing up and reaching for a handshake, the man gleefully exclaims, "Ah! There you are, come, come, the egg started hatching just moments ago." Waving towards the incubators, sure enough an egg can be spotted with a few small cracks in it, whatever's inside having a bit of trouble with the shell. Doctor Grossman takes a moment to measure the size of the cracks with his hand before slowly peeling away at one of them, giving enough space for the hatchling to push through more easily - the small face of the floating fish emerging from the shell before wriggling out of the still fairly intact egg. The Doctor takes a moment to check some boxes on his form as he looks over the small eel that has come forth, before smiling happily and handing you the form, getting his camera ready to take some pictures of the young one. "Just give us a sign and he's all yours!"

Keith walked into the Hatchery, and as he did so, the first thing he did was discard an empty plastic water bottle, but judging by the red drops dripping from the small hole that was stabbed into the side of said bottle, it had very recently contained something decidedly different than water. And through the doors, just behind Keith, there flew a pair of insects. One of them was the usual coloration for his kind, while the other was decidedly different in appearance. It was the Shiny of the two who was casting sharp glances all around, as though daring any of these unfamiliar people to come closer, though whenever her gaze fell on that of the bug flying alongside her, said gaze softened ever so slightly. And why shouldn't it? Considering what the two of them had agreed to, what they were about to do together... Fatale would have given the faintest trace of a smile had she the mouth for it. Her sadistic nature, her appetite for blood, her disturbing interest in death and suffering, none of that turned Severus off in the slightest.
Severus, on the other hand, was most certainly able to smile, and was currently making full use of this capability as he gazed at Fatale. Beneath the aggressive, brutal demeanor, hidden among the sadistic tendencies and the disturbing interests, there was a heart every bit as beautiful as her outer appearance. He not only put up with Fatale's more disturbing qualities, he embraced them as part of what made her the Beautifly he loved with all his heart. Moreover, he was smiling because the two of them were about to do something together which, in years long past, Severus had once fantasized about doing with Lily, way back when he didn't give a Raticate's ass that she didn't like him that way, way back when he saw James as only an obstacle... days he hadn't so much as given thought to in many years now, least of all since meeting Fatale. Keith approached the same man he'd seen last time he was here, hopefully with his hand in much better condition this time around. "Dr. Grossman, hi," he grinned. "So yeah, I'll be leaving these two lovebugs here," he said with a small smile, gesturing to his Dustox and Shiny Beautifly. "And, uh... fair warning," he added, lowering his voice somewhat so that the pair of Bug-types did not overhear. "If you thought getting Cyanide away from her Egg was a dangerous task... see my Beautifly there? Before I caught her, locals knew her as the Vampire of Cadaver Forest. You ever hear those Pokédex entries that paint Beautifly as this aggressive, brutal, bloodthirsty predator? I'm convinced that when they wrote those entries, it was with Fatale in mind specifically. If you absolutely have to take the Egg from her, my advice is to take as many- no, to take more precautions than you think are necessary to keep yourself safe." He both looked and sounded dead serious as he spoke, hoping to convey to Dr. Grossman just how much he really wasn't kidding with all this. Cyanide had a bad temperament, sure, but she at least wasn't responsible for an entire forest getting named after a synonym for "dead body". And Fatale was quite a bit more docile than she used to be in this day and age, but by no means did Keith make the fatal mistake of misconstruing this as a total shift in her personality. Indeed, once he was done giving Dr. Grossman advance warning of how big a risk he'd be taking by separating Fatale from her Egg, he signed any and all necessary paperwork, and before leaving, told Fatale to not bleed anybody dry, in a tone which suggested this was an order he gave rather frequently. The time after the collapse of the old government was one filled with trouble and turmoil, and among the chaos he had enjoyed the pickings of the rich. However, with the new council in place fairly solidly and the rules of the region building up, Fizzytopia was once more at relative peace. Sure, there was that city miles away that was of some intrigue to the boss, but the actual storefront was quiet. Too quiet for his liking. Sure, there was that Kalos lass over there at that building renovating it - was that the new boutique, his hat could use a mock feather - but the night was rather still. Perched upon the lamppost, the avian gave a sigh. He could do with some entertainment. And as if on cue, something in the dim light catches his attention. Tilting his head towards the sight, the Honchkrow spots a rather prudish bird, clearly itching for something, something in particular. His crimson eyes catch her eyes. The Dartrix gives an excitable hoot. Fragarath gives but a small croon, of bemusement. Giving her an attractive wink, the Honchkrow takes flight as the female takes off after him, heading for a building where he and the bird could discuss things in a more...relaxed and consensual manner. ABL Note: Apologies for the wait here Mask! OTL Your patience is appreciated.
A rather quiet young gentleman steps through the Hatchery's doors. As per usual, the lobby seems to be distinctly understaffed. But this trainer is exceedingly polite, and doesn't make a fuss despite being made to wait for some time. His patience becomes outweighed by curiosity when he hears a cheerful voice echoing down the hallway. Upon investigating further, he finds the absent-minded Miss Lulu. Today, she's fully immersed in a game of pat-a-cake. The round pink Pokémon she's playing with has such tiny hands, the nursemaid is only using two fingers to "pat" with. It's hard to say which of the two is smiling more. The happy creature sways from side to side as the game continues, as something like a curled ponytail bobs atop her head. Within the pocket on her belly, there appears to be... another egg? No, it's too small. Surely it couldn't be a real specimen. But the object is definitely a creamy colour with muted green spots, the kind so often depicted in trainer's guides and textbooks. The gentleman lightly raps on the doorway with his knuckles. Miss Lulu whirls her head around to see who the visitor is, while the Pokémon dashes to hide behind the girl's skirt. With a soothing hand on the timid baby, the nursery attendant welcomes Rorik in. "Hello there!" she says warmly. "Uh, I do apologise for getting caught up with our fun there, I know I lose track of time here and there..." Very gently, the girl guides the new hatchling around herself to stand in front of her. "Your new Pokémon is in perfect health," Miss Lulu coos proudly. Then she seems to remember something. "Ah, of course! Perhaps you already know this, but this species does like to carry small items in their pouches," she explains, gesturing downwards to the object the creature is holding onto. "And so I had this to give her. ...it's hand-painted, you see," she adds, somewhat bashfully. "Take good care of her now, won't you?" Rorik has hatched a lv. 1 female Happiny! The last time Hyrem dropped off two Pokemon to produce offspring, he knew better than to bother the new Arbok parents early. This time, however, felt a lot safer, but as he asked Dr. Grossman's assistant about Sera and Ulysses he was told they were both fine but only Ulysses was available. "Okay, well, can I see him, at least?" he asked, to which they obliged, though they warned him that there was something different about him, which he only found out about once Ulysses popped through the doorway.
He was expecting a Frillish. What he saw instead was much bigger than a Frillish and actually towered above him in height even when he wasn't floating about a foot in the air. Most of this size seemed to be in his enormous head, his face sporting what looked to be the most impressive mustache Hyrem had ever seen, though his tentacles seemed to have developed as well. "Ulysses? Is that you?" he asked the creature. "Um, yes, it is me," he replied, with a lower sounding voice than Hyrem was used to. "If you're wondering about my new body, that happened while Sera and I were...well, you know." "Heh, you must've had a really good time with Sera if you evolved from it!" he chuckled. "Lemme just check Dexelle to see what you are now." "Of course," said Ulysses with a bow, allowing the Pokedex to scan him: Jellicent, the Floating Pokemon, and the evolved form of Frillish. Their bodies are almost entirely comprised of seawater and are able to absorb it with ease as well as expel it in order to move around in the ocean. Individual Jellicent have been known to sink small boats, while groups of varying numbers are capable of sinking anything from large ships to entire cruise liners, all of which leave the humans on board vulnerable to being drained of their life force by these Pokemon. Jellicent territories are therefore well known due to the sheer number of wrecked ships found on the seafloor. "Well, that's scary," Hyrem remarked. "This might be what your sister's gonna turn into, are you ready for that?" "Yes, I did realize that Ariel might be what I have become as well. If I've had enough time to evolve, then so did she. I just hope I'm strong enough when the time comes." "Anyway, enough about that! How's Sera and the egg?" "Ah, yes, they're both fine! However, Sera asks that she stay with the egg until it hatches so she has time to bond with our child as well as link her mind to it." "Not a problem!" said Hyrem. "Besides, you'd be plenty to show off while we wait for the egg!" "Ah, well, I'm not one to...show off that much. Though, I was wondering if you would be willing to try something?" "What are you thinking about? "Perhaps...I can carry you around on my head?" Hyrem beamed as soon as he figured it out. "Sure, why not!?" he said with enthusiasm. He then waited for Ulysses to float down to him in order to clamber onto the top of his head. No small feat, mind you, the Jellicent's slippery body made it quite difficult indeed, but he was able to at least grasp onto the back of his head as well as use the back of his "mustache" as a foothold. "Hold on tight," Ulysses warned before floating out the door. It wasn't quick by any means, nor was he floating more than a few feet off the ground at any time, but imagine holding onto one of those plastic pool toys as it moved you about and kept you afloat, and that's the kind of experience Hyrem was having. Eventually, he was too tired to hang on and let go, but after that he said, "Okay, that was pretty fun! I bet you'll be great for the kids to play with too!" "I would be happy to ferry any small children that wish to ride me for a bit," Ulysses said with what appeared to be a happy expression, though any smile would have been hidden by the "mustache" on his face. "Anyway, let's go for now, Ulysses! We'll be back in just a week, don't you worry!" "Of course," said the newly evolved jellyfish, floating alongside his trainer; although worried as a new father is wont to do, he knew Sera was perfectly capable of taking care of things all by herself, and he shared in his trainer's excitement at wanting to see what the baby would be like. ********** {Just picking up my |

"Ladies and gentlemen! Please give a warm welcome to the one and only, the incomparable Kalosian Miracle... heeere he is, Luc de Beaufort!!"
The sold-out crowd gathered inside the GyaraDome, thirty thousand-strong, erupted in cheers once the single golden spotlight illuminated the stage, revealing the hero they'd been eagerly anticipating, complete with theme music and a small pyro spectacle. With a graceful bow and an always-captivating smile, the sharply-dressed, mask-wearing gentleman soaked in every second of the enduring adulation. It was quite a while before the raucous crowd quieted down long enough for the annoucer to finally be able to speak again. "It's such an honour to have you here with us tonight Luc," he said on the microphone. "Not at all. The pleasure is all mine," replied the Kalosian Miracle, his voice soft and entrancing beyond explanation. "After all, I was the one who requested this opportunity, which you were kind enough to grant." "Oh, indeed! It seems you have an announcement to make to the world, isn't that right?" It was only then that the public finally settled down, hanging on Luc's every gesture, smile and word. And the masked man, of course, knew this. "Bien sure. You see..." the pause that followed was deliberate, almost theatrical. Luc knew how to play crowds like a fiddle. "I will be taking part in a new journey. This will be the next chapter in my story - a fresh start in a new land, with new companions. I have, after all, conquered every challenge set before me in Kalos..." Oncemore, the crowd exploded in cheers and screams of approval. A new adventure for Luc de Beaufort meant more opportunities to hear about the hero's exploits, this time in foreign lands! It was TV ratings and magazine sales fuel if there ever was one. "Oh my! This is most unexpected! So the Champion of Kalos will be going back to his roots? How exciting!" "I'm mostly doing this for myself," Luc answered with a polite chuckle, "but I am delighted to know that my adventures can entertain and please so many people." The announcer was all smiles, the inner fan in him equally as thriled by the news as everyone else. "We will be following every step with the utmost attention, and rooting for you all the way! Who knows? Maybe this will be the chance for you to cross paths with your mother, the legendary Madeleine Chevalier!" The announcer's voice peaked in excitement. "What a clash of titans that would be, wouldn't you say?!" That crap again?... Luc's frown lasted but a milisecond, a fraction of a moment of weakness quickly erased by his impeccable public composure. He ran a hand through his black-and-white hair and forced himself to smile elegantly to the camera pointed at him in the darkness. "Non, my mother's path and my own have diverged a long time ago. Meeting her is... not a priority for me. I simply aim to be as good of a Trainer as I can be, and isn't that what everyone should strive for?" The deafening cheers increased in intensity as a reply. "Oh, well said, well said indeed! And please tell us - have you already decided on a partner to begin this new chapter?" At that, Luc's widening smile was genuine. Retrieving a beautiful black Luxury Ball from the confines of his suit, the Kalosian Miracle tossed the sphere in the air and it snapped open, revealing its contents in a burst of light. Glimmering, with sparks escaping its tiny frame, the Tynamo floated over to Luc and perched itself on the Ace Trainer's shoulder. "This is my companion," Luc said, addressing the crowd. "Won't you please say hi to Polaris?" "Ooooh! A splendid choice," raved the announcer. "A Pokémon without weaknesses!" "C'est vrai. Just like myself, wouldn't you say?" At that, the crowd went mental with chants of encouragement, clapping and whistling. Luc de Beaufort, Champion of Kalos, was not going on this journey alone - he would be carrying with him the hopes, dreams and adoration of an entire country. And that was what he thrived on. "Et bien, time to shine!" ----- Claiming Lv 1 Male Tynamo and placing it inside a Luxury Ball. Thanks Sneaze and EAI! (And retrieving Gastly!)

Atalanta awoke alone in the hollow of a large oak tree, the events of the previous night still a blur. She recalled meeting up with the handsome looking Honchkrow, he had taken her under his wing and made her feel safe as they roamed the streets. Suddenly she remembered what else had transpired, they had spent the night together, but there was no sign of him now. She looked around the hollow until her eyes locked onto a lone egg, its white surface was marked with a small green bowtie, what had she done......... Jayson surely wouldn't be accepting of her promiscuity, to him she was innocent. Trying not to look back, Atalanta flies out of the tree, leaving behind the egg born of her promiscuous revelry.
(OOC: Picking up Atalanta the Dartrix and Deo will be arriving in a week to pick up the abandoned egg but the breeding slot will count as mine. Thanks Raves for lending your Honchkrow, hope he had a good time hahaha) |

And yet... The precious little hatchling stumbled around the counter, holding on to its tiny makeshift egg made of lifeless stone like it was the most precious treasure in the world. Its eyes were filled with hope and kindness and a need to care, innate virtues that not even Rorik could ignore - virtues that, despite his better judgment telling him otherwise, made the Professor want to believe that he wouldn't mess this one up. Because how could him? Already the Happiny looked at him with an abundance of love in its starry eyes - how could he possibly fail to establish a bond with such a critter? With open arms he welcomed the newborn, he too filled with a need to tend to the frail little thing. Whereas Munchlax and Staryu were quirky, finicky each in their own way, something told Rorik he'd have a much easier time connecting with this little bundle of joy. And perhaps it was just what the down-trodden man of science needed to recover his lost confidence. And indeed, unbeknownst to Rorik, he'd just hatched a priceless gem, whose full splendor would become apparent in due time. ----- Claiming Lv 1 Female Happiny and placing her inside a Luxury Ball. While it was fun to ride on top of Ulysses, it was determined that such method of travel was impractical, so Hyrem merely decided to walk alongside his Jellicent on the way to the Hatchery. "So Ulysses, who do you think your first kid's going to be: boy or girl?" Hyrem asked.
"Oh, well, Amethyst and the Arbok both have had daughters, so odds are I get one too!" Ulysses reasoned. "I don't know, my gut says you'll be the first to have a son!" said Hyrem as they approached the doorway to the Hatchery. "Either way, I can tell you and Sera are going to love your new baby! Well, we're here, time to see who's right!" ********** {Super short RP thing aside, I'm just too excited to see what kind of baby Sera has in store for us!} |

No urgent news bulletins interrupting regularly scheduled programming to tell of horrific tragedies at the Hatchery. No phone calls telling him that his Shiny Beautifly was personally responsible for any sort of massacre. And, as Keith could see at this moment, the place was still standing. All of this, he reasoned, was cause for hope. He didn't dare come back a week ago to pick up the soon to be proud parents- separate Fatale from her offspring? No thanks, he didn't have a death wish. But right now, as he entered the Hatchery, he knew Fatale would be much more open to the idea of leaving, as it was with her offspring they would be leaving. And exactly what kind of a mother the vampire of Cadaver Forest would be was something Keith had to admit he was very curious about. He looked around for Dr. Grossman, hoping that the man had taken Keith's advice on how to survive the daunting task of taking care of Fatale for two weeks. Oh, and that the Egg was doing alright, of course.

He followed Dr. Grossman towards the incubators, one of which was being hovered around by a certain pair of bugs. Keith looked supremely worried as one of the volunteers had the Bug-types move away from their Egg, and not without reason, for Fatale could be seen unfurling her mouth threateningly, but Severus seemed able to talk her out of exsanguinating the poor soul. Nevertheless, the big moment was upon them! The Egg was hatching, bits of shell chipping away and falling to the floor as the Egg wobbled and lurched. And soon, the small, spiky form within began to emerge. Keith let out an amused chuckle, he couldn't help it- with Fatale the way she was, he supposed he ought to have seen this coming, at least seen it as a more possible possibility than Eon, which was basically out of nowhere. The odds were still not exactly overwhelmingly favorable, but they were greatly improved nevertheless, and they certainly proved favorable enough here and now, for the Wurmple that emerged from the Egg was a vibrant purple color. Keith, of course, was no stranger to the Wurmple species, having owned Severus since hatching him, but Fatale came to him in her current evolutionary stage, and so this was his first encounter with a purple Wurmple. And so he dug out his Pokédex, its color scheme a remarkable match for the newborn's coloration. "Wurmple, the Worm Pokémon. A Bug-type," said Keith's Pokédex. "Using the spikes on its rear end, Wurmple peels the bark off trees and feeds on the sap that oozes out. It spews silk to immoblize foes, and defends itself with its poisonous spikes. This specimen is Shiny." Keith did not approach right away, even after signing off on all the necessary paperwork. Instead, he looked to the parents. "May I?" he asked. Though his question was directed at both of them, they all knew who the question was really for. And indeed, as Fatale eventually gave a curt nod, Keith nodded back, and approached the purple Wurmple. "Hey, there," Keith smiled. "I'm Keith, I'm your Trainer. "Wurm... WURMPLE!" Wurmple suddenly exclaimed, spewing String Shot at Keith's face. Keith, however, was able to duck out of the way of the attack. "Beau-u-u-u-utifly-y-y-y-y!" Fatale trilled, flying down to her newborn daughter. "Beau-u-u-u-u!" "Dus, Dustox," Severus added, following Fatale, unable to stop smiling as he looked upon his daughter. "Wurmple..." murmured Wurmple. Then, she nodded at her parents. "Wurm! Wurmple wurm!" She then, to Keith's surprise, jumped down to the floor, and turned to face Keith, a definitely combative gleam in her eye. "Wurm! Wurmple wurm!" she exclaimed. "Wh- wait a sec, you don't mean a battle?" Keith said incredulously. "Beau-u-u--utifly-y-y-y-y!" Fatale nodded, seemingly in approval of this. Severus seemed to share Keith's incredulity, but stayed off to the side, curious to see how this would play out. "...OK, then," Keith shrugged, taking a Luxury Ball off his belt and tossing it. "Selia, you're up!" he exclaimed, unleashing his Munna. ...The newborn Wurmple? Selia's telepathic voice sounded in Keith's head. Yes, Keith thought back. Severus and Fatale's daughter. She insists on a battle, and her parents don't seem to object, so... Of course, Selia responded. Wurmple made the first move, charging forward for a Tackle attack. "Selia! Defense Curl!" Keith commanded. "Mu!" grunted Selia, curling up into a tiny ball. Wurmple rammed into her, sending her rolling back, but didn't cause very much damage- Selia was able to stop herself with relative ease and get back into the air. "Alright- now use your Psywave attack!" Keith ordered. "MuuunNAAAAAA!" exclaimed Selia, as the flowers on her body glowed brightly. Numerous rings of Psychic energy. However, Wurmple deftly dodged them all, to general astonishment. Except from Fatale- the Shiny Beautifly simply looked proud at how her daughter was doing, and didn't look the least bit surprised. "WUUUUUURM!" bellowed Wurmple, as she then unleashed String Shot, tying up Selia in an instant. Before Keith could say anything, Wurmple was whirling Selia around, before slamming her string-wrapped form into the floor. And then, she charged, landing another Tackle attack, breaking her free from the strings, but also knocking her out. "Wh... Selia, return!" Keith said as he withdrew the Munna. He looked over at the Shiny Wurmple, who seemed unimpressed with how Keith had fought so far. "Geez," Keith murmured. "This girl's no pushover." Then he cracked a smile. "Wouldn't have it any other way, though," he added, before throwing a Premier Ball. "Now, Eon, it's your turn!" he exclaimed, sending out a Shiny Eevee whose presence would be quite familiar to the staff. Blue stars swirled around her as she materialized. "Wurmple! Wuuuuuurm!" Wurmple exclaimed, launching another String Shot. Keith merely smirled. "Eon! Flamethrower!" he ordered. "Oooeeeeeee!" squealed the Shiny Eevee, unleashing a stream of flames from her mouth. It burned up the String Shot with ease, though Wurmple was able to roll out of the way of the attack herself. But Keith was undeterred. "Now! Use Water Pulse!" he commanded. "Ooooeeeeeveeeee!" responded Eon, charging up an orb of water before her mouth and firing it off. This time, Wurmple took the attack, but it seemed as though something was helping her keep her focus in the wake of such a normally disorienting move- it was Shield Dust, Keith realized. None of Eon's attacks would incur their secondary effects. "Wurm! Wurm!" grunted Wurmple, charging in for another Tackle. "Eon, we'll use Tackle as well!" Keith ordered. "Vee!" grunted the Shiny Eevee, colliding with Wurmple. Though Wurmple fought hard, Eon was the same type as Tackle, and then there was her Ability to consider- Adaptability meant that Eon's Normal moves were even stronger than they'd already be by virtue of her being a Normal-type. And in this case, it meant that Wurmple was knocked back by Eon's attack. "Wuuurm... Wuuuurm... Wurmple," sighed Wurmple, finally giving a tiny nod. She locked eyes with Keith once more, this time giving a look of begrudging respect. Keith smiled. He supposed he should have guessed that he'd have to really work to earn the respect of Fatale's daughter- it took the Shiny Beautifly a good while to warm up to even just the idea of having a Trainer, let alone the Trainer she actually had. "Welcome to the team, Wurmple," he said, extracting the second of his two Net Balls from his backpack. He enlarged the sphere, then walked over to Wurmple and held out the ball. The Shiny Wurmple gently nudged the button with her head, and was sucked inside. The ball was quick to stop wobbling, to Keith's delight. "Fly! Beau-u-u-u-utifly-y-y-y-y!" trilled Fatale. "Dus! Dustox!" smiled Severus. "Oooeeeee!" squealed Eon. Keith smiled, then tossed the Net Ball back into the air, sending back out the purple Wurmple, who sparkled with blue stars as she landed on Keith's shoulder. "Alright, so now all we need is for your parents to help give you a name," he smiled. "Wurmple!" nodded Wurmple. At this, the Luxury Ball opened back up, and a tired, beaten, yet now somewhat conscious Munna reappeared. After briefly conferring with the pair of Bug-type parents, she turned to Keith. They wish for her to be named Artemis, the Munna told Keith telepathically. "Artemis, hmm?" Keith murmured. "Well, I think that's a good idea," he smiled. "Welcome to the team, Artemis," he smiled to the Shiny Wurmple. "Let's get you acquainted with the rest of your teammates, hmm?" he asked as he made to exit the Hatchery. OOC: Claiming the Shiny Wurmple, putting her in aforementioned Net Ball, which is #2 of 2, naming her Artemis, and declaring her Ability to be Shield Dust. Thanks! And don't sweat the delay, real life always comes first. And, of course, picking up my Dustox and my Shiny Beautifly. |

The night was indeed entertaining, yet the morrow after he had flown to stretch his wings, the Dartrix was nowhere to be seen upon his return. What he did see, however, was a spherical object, left behind by the bird, a sight that caused the crow's heart to sink. Surely in this position it was vulnerable to predation, and what young life within would not settle well outside the world with no maternal guidance. Was the female perhaps owned by a trainer? No, this would not be left unsettled. Taking great care not to crack the egg, the Honchkrow carefully took a hold of it with his talons and flew it the short distance to the building next door, a place he knew would take care of the nurturing until the child hatched. Laying it down gently, he struck the door, before taking flight once more, returning to his own home. He had a little spate of forgery to do.

The bell on the door jingled as Gary entered the Hatchery once again. He had yet another mysterious egg in his arms, and unlike last time he had a little bit of a better idea of what to do this time around. “Hi there!” he greeted Miss Lulu as he approached the counter. “I’ve found yet another mysterious egg, so I’ve brought it here for your wonderful care. Levi is doing great, by the way, so I’m hoping this little egg will be another eggcellent addition to the family!” While he knew it was corny, he couldn’t resist using the pun.

Hiero was sprinting as fast as he could down the road and toward the Hatchery. In his arms he carried an egg - and it was slightly cracked. "Gotta hurry..." The trainer had found the egg just an hour earlier while wandering through the forest, curiously sitting in a tree branch all by its lonesome. He had moved toward it for a closer look when suddenly a wild Ekans revealed itself from behind the tree and struck the egg, ingesting it whole in one swift motion. Typically, Hiero would have reserved himself and left nature to run its course, but something about this situation did not sit right with him. As the Ekans slid down the tree trunk and into the grass, Hiero made the decision to intervene. "Almost there..." The trainer's Lombre, Jotaro, saw the large lump in the Ekans' stomach, somersaulted through the air (as he was keen to do), and dropped from above with a direct Drain Punch to the Ekans' stomach. Instantly, the snake Pokemon came to a halt, vomiting up the egg, which rolled across the grass covered in stomach acid. Jotaro picked up the stunned Ekans by the tail and flung it through the air and into some nearby bushes before turning to his trainer with a thumbs up, looking for praise. Hiero ran through the doors of the Hatchery. He had wiped the egg down gently with a handkerchief, inspecting the green bowtie-like marking on the front of it, wondering curiously what was inside, and why he felt so attracted to this particular egg. As he stood up, he noticed something - the egg was cracked. And it was slowly spreading. He assumed the battle with the Ekans must have damaged it - not only had it been ingested and covered in stomach acid, but it had bounced and rolled across the ground as well. "Please, someone! I found this egg, and it's cracked! I need a nurse, stat!" (Hatching this egg!) |

"Yes, I suppose you were." "What did you think your baby was going to be, Sera?" *Well, I knew all along, though I thought it prudent not to spoil the surprise~* These voices...new voices...talking with Mommy...they seem nice...Oh yeah, that one voice, he's the one helping Mommy and me! ...Huh? My egg? It...it's cracking! Mommy, help me!! *It is all right, my son, you are ready to come out!* I...I am? *Yes, now you can see us for the first time.* The eyes opened up to see through a green helmet and onto a pretty face, her eyes very similar to the eyes that recently opened up. The lungs took in their first breaths outside of the egg before the vocal chords were finally used. "Mommy?" "Yes, my son, I am here." The mother's arms picked up the baby and began to cradle him. After a few minutes, he started to register the presence of the others in the room, first looking at the scientist that measured him. "Daddy?" "He is not your father," Sera explained, "he is the nice man that helped you out of your egg." "I am your father," Ulysses floated towards him. "It's so good to finally meet you, my son!" "Daddy!" "And this one here," she said, turning towards their trainer, "is our beloved trainer, Hyrem!" "Hyrem~" squeaked the Psychic-type baby, which Hyrem heard as "Ralts~" as he stretched out his arms towards the young man. "Welcome to the team, little guy!" he said with a smile. "So do either of you have a name for him?" "Name?" asked the Ralts, overhearing the question. "Name...name...Brian!" Sera, surprised at the idea, asked, "Are you sure? Is that the name you want?" "Name Brian, name Brian~" he chanted. *Well, I suppose...Brian it is then!* Sera's voice came into Hyrem's mind. *He actually chose it for himself.* *Well, I like that name,* he thought back to Sera. *Especially if he chose it, that means there's no better name for him to have!* *************** And that, dear readers, was how I came into this world! What, you don't believe that I picked my own name? Come on, you gotta at least give me some credit, both Hyrem and my parents knew there was something to the child before them, after all! No, my trainer couldn't understand me at first, I still had some psychic powers to develop! But I'll go into that later. For now, I'll just point out that Hyrem was at the Hatchery for more than one reason: see, this Vaporeon named Kai wanted to raise some kids of her own, and Happy just turned out to be the lucky "hottie" for her! While my parents were busy caring for me, Hyrem stepped away from us to let the Flareon out of his Pokeball right in front of Kai who had arrived in the midst of my glorious birth. Happy padded towards the door, looking for a certain feature inside the hatchery's breeding area and got excited when he saw a pool of water with wisps of steam rising out of it. A hot springs! That would be perfect to get the both of them...well, in the mood. Another set of paperwork was done for Happy's first time with Kai, and it couldn't be done any quicker in his eyes as he walked over to the Vaporeon. "Well, are you ready?" he asked. "I know you're not comfortable with being touched, but...well, we'll just have to figure it out!" Part of him wondered if Kai would stay distant while they were in private or if she would let herself off her leash and what she would be like in that state. Of course, all this was for the purpose of making kids, so he also wondered what they would be like. *************** {Picking up Sera and putting Brian into this Friend Ball, thanks for hatching my narrator! Also dropping off Happy the Lv. 33 Flareon (w/ EMs Tickle, Yawn, Covet, Synchronoise, Detect, and Flail) to breed with 134's Vaporeon named Kai! Happy Eeveelution lovings!} |
