With enough correct prediction, it can catch most of it's counters or checks on the switch and deal plenty of damage. The only two I can think of that do fine against Mamo are either Skarmory or Rotom-W. And kind of Ferro. Even Jellicent fears an Earthquake on the switch.

Sadly, Rotom-W is hilariously common.

I see Rotom-W so much in VGC it's amazing.
Thankfully, Light Screen shits all over it so it really doesn't do anything to my team. I've decided to sub in Mega-Mawile and Assault Vest Starmie to pick up the slack when it's too risky to Sun. MegaZardY and Heliolisk work really well together but when MegaZardY does nothing but put up sun, it's better for me to have Mawile come in and fuck with Dragons. Also Assault Vest Starmie is super weird. |

Assault Vest Starmie? Why does that...actually sound good? O.o I might have to try it out sometime.

It's really strange. Starmie is fast enough and strong enough and Specially Defensive enough that it actually is... okay.
It's not great physically defensive-wise, but I have lol Mega Mawile if I have Starmie so I should be okay. |

I've been trying out Assault Vest Goodra, and it's... interesting. It only takes like 40-50% from MegaAbomasnow's blizzard, but can't do much to hit back in return. I might decide to sub it out for Assault Vest Dragalge instead.

No, bad marshy. Dragalge is terrible. Also, why aren't you using Fire Blast.

I have Sludge Bomb/Wave for Fairies. The moveset is Sludge Bomb/Wave, Muddy Water, Earthquake, Blizzard for other Dragons. There's just so much in its movepool that I don't know what to use.

Customize its moveset around your needs. For instance, with my Mega-Mawile, I give it the very non-standard Ice Fang, since my biggest problem is Garchomp.

I'm pretty sure STAB Play Rough would actually deal more damage than Ice Fang on Garchomp.

270 Power Play Rough versus 260 Power Ice Fang. Not to mention Play Rough is 100% accurate.

Oh, I must have read that wrong.
Ice Fang isn't superfluous anyways, its good for hitting anything named Gliscor or Lando-T.

Once again, VGC, so Landorus isn't usable. I've only seen like two Gliscor so far but there might be bigger threats that I can swap for Ice Fang. |

Also re: Panda's battle
Though it worked out for you here I think you're overestimating the potency of Choice in VGC. Since switches are much less frequent and match-ups are a lot different, Choice items are exceedingly rare. You're much better off sacrificing a little power for variability and flexibility. Also area-effect moves that aren't named Dazzling Gleam or Rock Slide sorta suck. I gave my ZardY Fire Blast and have gotten a lot more kills with it than I ever did with Heat Wave. |

I prefer to focus as much damage as possible on 1 target, trying to take it out quick, instead of spreading it out over both targets which may result in both targets staying alive another round to damage you. But than again, that may also be a result of my tendency to go for power over longevity anyway.

Ok, I'll have to try that out. Just not sure what item I'll give Moltres. Maybe weakness policy?

Unless you can pick off a weakened target with an area effect move, it's largely not worth it. There's also the fact that Protect is EVERYWHERE in Doubles, regardless of the format, so sacrificing power for an area attack that will probably get Protected will never be as good as predicting the Protect and hitting the other one with a single target move.

Moltres isn't very bulky. Life Orb or...oh right the gems don't exist. You could try a Passho berry but its quite situational.

No, but it occasionally survived thunderbolt/discharges. Maybe I'll just go with Focus Sash.
And Gogoat has life orb, but I could give it Weakness Policy instead since Gogoat is actually quite bulky. |

Focus Sash might be okay; I sorta wish Mega Stones didn't take up item slots because man would a Sash be damn good on MegaZardY.
