Kaijus are more useful for decks that struggle dealing with floodgate-type disruption monsters, but otherwise have disposable ones themselves.

While I don't like getting a Dark Law, Quasar getting kaiju'd, it's still a -1 for the opponent, and since I specialize in disposable bosses it's less a problem. I think, though, that I should focus in on a Rank 8 to take advantage of kaiju summons.

Granted, the one deck I mentioned earlier, the kaiju deck, used interrupted to change the game, not the kaiju itself.

New cards from MACR, most of them are archetype specific (Zoodiacs continue to gain support for some reason), but there is at least one card which looks really good.

If Ghost Ogre and Snow Rabbit / Ghost Reaper and Cherry Blossoms have proven anything, its that a hand-trap is good no matter what really. I suspect this will be used often because of Zoodiacs (bye bye molmorat chain).

Yeah but it's only good for its hand trap status at that point. Those cards are actually totally useless because they're Level 3 and Tuners; had they been non-Tuners, I could combine them with Tatsunoko or Debris Dragon. Had they been Level 1, I could summon them with Junk Synchron.

Rather than minus to disrupt the opponent's field, I'd rather run max Maxx "C" and soft punish them for it instead, hoping to draw into my removal cards.

I've successfully thewarted Magical Explosion, Electrum OTK decks with a well-timed Hanewata so it's not like I disagree completely, but I wasn't running Hanewata for the hand trap status. That was just a sweet bonus.

I just dueled a guy who accidentally Soul Charged himself into a loss.

He had 1800 LP and summoned two monsters. His "OH FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK" could be heard as far away as Kashgar.

I'm sure the vast majority of Soul Charge summons were on purpose. That's why this one was so notable.

I actually drew awfully in this particular bout. Hoping for some good card unbans in the next list.

I faced an idiot who dropped two Todally Awesome and had Dimensional Barrier. I discarded Shaddoll Dragon for a Twin Twister (as bait), expecting him to call Fusion...and he called XYZ. Oops!

But when I went through with my normal plays, he dropped Maxx "C". I scooped with a Librarian, Omega on the field, Junk Synchron, Effect Veiler and Mask Change 2 in hand. He had 3000 LP and a Bahamut Shark with two Toadally Awesome on the field. Why I scooped: I couldn't OTK him and would almost have certainly lost on the following turn.

I had two Heavy Slumps in my deck, didn't mill either but didn't draw either. I didn't run into Soul Charge either (which, at the cost of the BP would have nigh-guaranteed I build an unbreakable field and Heavy Slump his hand).

Sad.

At least now the meta has shifted to Zoodiac spam in T/OCG.

The irony is with Dark Law out, it's more than useless against me.

But I had no other out to the 15 card hand he had. Whereas, if I had Heavy Slump, that would have been an instant-win (since Dark Law would have sniped one card, and Omega the other).

So long as I did it in the Main Phase at least.

I mean, I don't see how this card works into anything, except being an annoying Normal Summon lock.

Even though its OTP, its still arguably a better Upstart for OTK decks.

Why did it have to be "loses"? Stupid. A lot of Konami's designs these days are geared toward side-stepping anti-Burn tech, even though such hasn't been seen in the meta since like 2006. The one exception was Damage Juggler and his anti-burn effect was just a throw in (much like Hanewata).
