Shame about Fnatic but that 1v1 between xPeke & Dade was killer.

Silver is so dumb. Everyone wants to be the Team Carry and nobody wants to win the game.
It's all about the playz, guys.

So yeah I'm new to league and having fun with it so far.
Question: is it better to try to specialize in a few champs or use a different one every game? I've been playing Garen for my first ~5 games or so and he's pretty cool, but idk who else I'd like.

Try a bunch out initially to see what you like, and mid levels start to specialize in roles at the very least, champions are good to specialize in but when you hit ranked be aware that there's always the potential for them to be banned (especially at lower ELOs where the bans are constantly crack and could be fukken anything).

Try to find what you like playing the most, whether it's tanky stuff, bursty mages, supportive things, or whatever else. |

I was terrible with the 450 champs because as a result of their very easy point and click nature, they don't have much range. I was always much more comfortable (and good) with zone-control mages, too.
Start with Ashe. Ashe does damage at range using her right-click attack. Her ultimate is a giant arrow with no range limit that stuns and deals damage. Go to Cho'Gath. Cho'Gath is a tank who builds defensive items and doesn't afraid of anything. His ultimate is Feast, which does 2 things. First, it deals a giant chunk of true damage to his target (1000 to minions, but much less to champions). If the target dies, Cho'Gath gains size and HP. Now go to Warwick. Warwick is a bruiser, and you can build basically anything on him and have it be OK. His ultimate is an instant jump that locks the enemy down for 3 seconds and deals damage to them, but he's mostly notable for his E ability, which gives him a giant speed boost if he's nearby to a low health enemy. Warwick is usually played in the jungle, so you won't be in the lanes too much; you'll have presence, but mostly you'll just be soaking up jungle farm. If you like Warwick and Cho'Gath more than Ashe, you probably enjoy tanks and bruisers. If you like Ashe and Cho'Gath more than Warwick, you probably enjoy mages and supports. If you like Ashe and Warwick more than Cho'Gath, you probably enjoy assassins and AD carries. You can further specialize from there - for instance, Irelia is a tank and an assassin (and despite me being a total mage player, I am an AMAZING Irelia). Miss Fortune and Ezreal are both mages and AD carries. Of course you should go for the 450 champs first. They'll teach you the game while you save up for your favorite. Go to the shop and pick out 3 favorites to save up for. Don't impulse buy, just browse.

Thanks for the advice guys, but what do you mean by the 450 champs?
Champs I liked so far: Garen, Ryze, Kha'Zix Champs I didn't like so far: Wukong, Ashe, Jinx But now I logged on this morning and I have access to a completely different set of champs, so time to try these guys out I guess. More champs I liked: Caitlyn, Ezrael, Pantheon More champs I didn't like: Trundle, Xin Shao

Oh, yeah, that works too. But there are just so many champs with so many different styles that it's better to find your favorite role and then explore from there.

Recently got into this game. I'm a level 17 and having a ton of fun. I started with mage Lux, then on my first ever PvP game I didn't realize that my beginner set of champs had run out and I was on the normal set of free champs which didn't include Lux. So I played Twitch and sucked and after that I needed to buy some cheap champs to learn on, so I bought Nunu and Kayle.
Nunu was awesome, but Kayle was my babe. Kayle was my rock. Kayle carried me through probably about 8 or 9 levels before I decided to branch out. I bought Soraka, Amumu, and Malphite. I still wasn't smart enough at League to jungle well with Amumu, and wasn't a great Malphite. I was a good Soraka though. Slowly I became... a great one. I was a really good Soraka support. I am a really good Soraka support. Just so you all know. Then I bought Vel'koz. He's awesome. I'm just ok with him. I recently picked up Amumu jungling again, which I've gotten way better at. And now I play Irelia top a lot too. I'm decent with her. So yeah that's my League history.

Of Soraka? I love it. I was sad about the loss of being able to give my ADCs mana, but ultimately getting a slow/self-heal and a silence/stun is a lot better. All the changes to her, like making her heal cost some of her own health and changing Starcall so that it could give health back made her way more fun and interesting to play. It actually takes some strategy and thought and aiming to support well with her during laning.

Kayle is babe and I'm super pissy at Rito for removing Guinsoo's because it is literally best thing.
Like Guinsoo's Rage effect + Gunblade + Kayle's E means that you are getting a fuckton of sustain. And I've been using it on TF and FLIP FLIP FLIP FLIP KILL YOU WITH PAPERCUTS |

Anyone got some tips for damage dealing with Morgana? It seems she can only doing meaningful damage by combining shackles with her AoE but that doesn't really seem to translate to KBs all that often for me.

Morg is special. As a true blue Morg player, I can tell you that she gets exponentially better with skill.
Without looking at your Morg play, I will tell you to improve your timing and your aim. One of these is lacking.

Yeah AP Morg is good, but you really do need to get your binding then your pool down instantly. With Liandry's you do a good amount. I need to play Morg more, I have two skins for her XD.

People should learn this for champs like Morgana, Jayce, Syndra, etc. You get things done faster and its way more efficient provided you can press some buttons fast enough. |

Rito changed Morg's pool precisely for this reason. It used to reduce MR, but it turns out the optimal, do-the-most-damage pattern was to put the pool down and then land the binding after they'd been debuffed by the pool...but this meant they could basically walk out of the pool and not care at all. So the only viable way was to land the snare and then put the pool down.
Now, since the pool does damage based on %missing health, it does more damage to land the snare before putting the pool down (because they'll have more health missing. In addition, you can be way more accurate with your pool and maybe get the full damage off from it. Malz combos very well with Morg for some reason I can't begin to fathom.
