Lunala's outstretched wings, rendered in great detail in the statue's obsidian stone, appear ominous at first; yet, as Mélina approaches the statue, there is a strong aura of tranquility, and the presence of a deep silence. Even the very act of breathing feels disrespectful in such inexplicably profound stillness, but the moon emissary's eyes are calm and oddly reassuring. Even in broad daylight, the shade is ever-present here, and the temptation exists to lie down by the statue's base and take a quick snooze... The beings here would surely find that rude though, wouldn't they? As the thought crosses Mélina's mind, Starlette's ears perk up, and the well-dressed Pikachu points to the right side of the statue. Were it not for the quiet, it would have been hard to hear, but given the environment and Starlette's cue to be on the alert, Mélina is eventually able to discern the sound of soft, gentle breathing... Something sleeping.

Sure enough, hiding in the thick grass surrounding the base of the statue where the noise originates, a grey egg can be seen, the occupant inside presumably napping the day away... Upon closer inspection, there is a big, yellow heart symbol on the egg. Perhaps the baby within had a big heart, too...? Hard to tell without waking it up.

Will Mélina pick up this egg, or continue her search?
As she arrived right in front of the Shrine of the Moon, Mélina catched her breath at the sight of the statue, one representing the protector of the shrine, Lunala. She tried to keep her gasp silent though, as even though it was just a statue, it just felt like simple breathing was frowned upon. Maybe it's the whole "you can't breathe in space" thing or that maybe the Moone Pokémon doesn't breathe itself, she thought, but she couldn't really put her finger on the reason. One thing for sure though, it felt like it was oozing of both authority yet relaxing and caring. The trainer thought perhaps in the days of old, Lunala was seen as a motherly entity. The kind that you would sleep soundly in its arms without any fear...

Starlette's ears suddenly perk up and twitch. She looked around, and then noticed something... she dashed towards her trainer, then pulled on her jeans.

"What is is Starlette?" Mélina whispered as she looked down to her Pikachu.

"Pika, pi!" the Pokémon hushed back, pointing in a tush tall grass at the base at the statue.

As she looks closer, sure enough, there was a grey egg with a yellow heart resting - literally, as it seemed to be softly breathing! Mélina smiled and resisted not to utter a loud awww at the adorable thing. Instead, she looks at her partner and placed her index on her lips. Yes, she does realize that she's not picking up yet another egg, but this time, she simply didn't want to bother the sleepy little one. After imagining herself patting the egg, she left it behind her and continued her search for for a different Pyukumuku egg.

Kyuu-Tales (2/3) – With the intent of acting in the defense of his trainer, Aiolia gives the aggressive ovoid a tackle it won't soon forget – Seiko admonishes her Pokemon for being so rough, which only leads to indignant growling from the Litleo. If the Springtime Pyukumuku was indeed a real creature, who had lovingly and painstakingly hid eggs and goodies around the island, it seemed a rather bad idea to go tackling its babies and then expect to garner favor, yet the Litleo's bold expression speaks volumes – after all, it was the egg who was looking for a fight in the first place! Wasn't it perfectly reasonable to fight back?

Oddly enough, though the egg does go sailing into the air, neither Aiolia nor Seiko see or hear it land. Did something – or someone – catch it? How mysterious...

Either way, there were more eggs to be found, and Aiolia is eager to sniff them out – tearing off in the direction of what the fire type believes to be another egg, Seiko follows her Pokemon up a snow-covered hill, towards the gaping, icicle-toothed maw of a promising-looking cavern.

Once inside, Aiolia sniffs around, honing in on his next target. The young fire-type's keen senses are quick to reveal an egg resting among a pile of snow-covered boulders – the egg itself blends in well given its snow-white color, though closer inspection reveals cloudy wisps of light blue and pale teal. This egg seems far less garrulous than the egg previously encountered; in fact, the egg seems to wiggle a bit with excitement upon being discovered!

Will Seiko choose this egg, or keep searching?

OkikuMew (3/3) – After her run-in with the terribly impolite egg earlier in the day, it seems only right that Mélina would do the polite thing upon encountering this sleeping egg at the base of the Shrine of the Moon; regardless of how cute the being within the egg most likely was, it would be rude to disturb it in the middle of its slumber. Envisioning herself giving the egg a warm hug, the trainer and her cosplay Pikachu leave the egg to its dreams beneath the shade.

As Mélina and Starlette continue to explore the the silent area surrounding the crescent-like wings of the Moone Pokemon, neither can shake the feeling that they are being watched; the sun was beginning to set over the horizon, and the calm aura surrounding the shrine was slowly but surely fading into a feeling of foreboding. Maybe it was just her imagination, but Lunala's eyes looked... shinier than before. More ominous.

As if the increasing feeling of unease wasn't bad enough, the eerie silence is very suddenly broken by one of the oddest laughs either has ever heard: Pyu-pyu-pyu-pyu-pyu~ Quite startling! Even so, once the initial shock wears off, it sounds like the laugh is a friendly one, despite its strangeness. It sounds like the sound is coming from directly behind them, and yet, when Starlette and Mélina turn around, there appears to be nothing there... nothing, that is, except a lovely little wicker basket, with little goodies, and... a rock? Who would gift Mélina a ROCK, of all things? And a CRACKED rock, to boot... Wait... the cracks are getting larger, and larger... was this rock actually an egg?

From the egg comes a spherical body with five stubby, little appendages, and two big, eye-like black spots. Despite not really having an expression per se, there is a strong sense of curiosity coming from this rocklike being. Certainly, there would be plenty of time to delve into the mysteries surrounding this newly-hatched Pokemon, but time grows short... even with this little bundle of celestial joy by her side, it would be best not to remain here after the sun sets.

Seiko looked on in fascination as the Litleo scampered to return to her side. It was clearly a splendid-looking egg with its cool blues and whites... could this be the egg? Or rather, the egg the Springtime Pyukumuku wanted her to have? (Could such a thing be possible so soon after Aiolia's transgression against the last egg they found?)

The young woman was struck dumb as her mind was suddenly overwhelmed by a flood of questions: Was this egg really safe to touch? Might it require incubation? How long would it take to hatch? What was the proper protocol for caring for a newborn Pokemon, anyway? She grabbed a handful of disheveled ashen tresses between her fingers and sighed. Should I even take it in the first place?

Seiko made a thoughtful grunting sound and reached into her pocket, earning her a confused look from the cub Pokemon seated beside her, and produced a coin. She would entrust herself to the greater gods of fortune. She set the coin carefully atop her thumb, and scrunched her eyes closed.

Heads, she'd take the egg. Tails, she'd leave it and move on.

Flicking her thumb, she launched the coin up overhead. It shimmered briefly at its apex; despite her anxiety, Seiko managed to deftly catch the token in her palm at her bosom. In similarly short order she replaced it upon the back of her hand.

"...Heads," she breathed as if in a daze. She strode over to the egg with Aiolia at her heels. When she was but a few inches away she knelt and smiled, reaching out to grab it on either side.

((I was literally twice as nervous as Seiko when trying to decide whether or not to take this egg. I also flipped a coin IRL to help me determine what to do. So there you have it: I'm taking this egg and hoping for the best!))

Kyuu-Tales (2/3) – Plagued with indecision regarding the snow-white egg and its lovely wisps of pale color, Seiko leaves her decision in the hands of the gods of fortune, producing a coin from her pocket and perching it atop her thumb. Still a relatively fresh trainer, the thought of caring for a Pokemon egg is daunting to say the least. Was Seiko up to the task?

Shutting her eyes and flicking her thumb, the coin spins up into the air, spiraling back down only to land in Seiko's palm, holding it close to her heart for a brief moment before resting it on the back of her other hand. Though the simple coin flip would seem unremarkable to an outsider looking in, there is an undeniable feeling, difficult to describe but impossible to ignore, that some being of fate had intervened on behalf of this egg. Somehow, it was meant to be.

The egg seems to practically rock back and forth with excitement when the baby within realizes it is being approached. As Seiko's warm hands touch the icy-cold surface of the egg, cracks began to form at the top. A white snout with a purple, fox-like nose pops through the cracks, sniffing with curiosity. A pair of deep, amethyst eyes soon appear as the head forces itself up through the egg, staring directly into Seiko's with adoration. Even its white fur seems to have a very slight purple sheen; how odd that the coloration of this baby does not seem to match the colors of its shell... Perhaps this one is a bit different from others of its species.

The baby Vulpix's gaze suddenly shifts directly behind Seiko, and Aiolia jumps with surprise. The pair both seem to be reacting to something – seems that someone slipped a basket behind Seiko when she wasn't looking! It seems to be filled with nice Springtime goodies... A trail of slimy substance, already freezing in the bitter cold, leads from the basket off into the distance. Was this the natural moisturizer emitted by none other than the Springtime Pyukumuku? Well, at least if it was, there was a strong sense that Aiolia's earlier mistreatment of the brawler egg had been forgiven with the acceptance of this shiny new baby.

You obtained:
- Lv.1 Shiny Female Alolan Vulpix

Maskerade:
You and your Munchlax walk into the Ice Caverns, already noticing that by the ice-covered walls and the bitter cold air that this place definitely lives up to its name. One might wonder what a Pokemon like the Springtime Pyukumuku would want to do in a place like this. Well, it just so turned out, that there are a number of Pokemon who really like the cold, and in fact, like it so much that their eggs will not hatch if it is too warm! So instead of an incubator, what they really need is a refrigerator. It makes sense if you stop thinking about it, trust me. You look around the caverns, and you find a whole lot of nothing at first. Either all the easy to spot eggs were already picked and taken home, or the Springtime Pyukumuku is very good at hiding its eggs. You get the weird feeling that something may be behind you and turn around, but there is nothing there. Or is there? You see something that looks like its buried a bit into the ground, and calling over to your rather dense Munchlax, go to investigate it.

Indeed there is something there, but it looks to be in a rather narrow opening in the ground. You gingerly put your hands inside to see what it is, and pull out an oblong shape. You found an egg! It normally would have been well camouflaged as well, so its no wonder you missed it the first time. You look at the egg, and see that its a pure white egg, with a number of light blue stripes running up it, separating the egg into what looks like nine pieces. The egg is much colder than the surroundings, so much so that you put it back down onto the ground, putting your fingers in your armpits to try and stave off frostbite from setting in.

What will you do?

Seiko's eyes widened: make no mistake, there was something different about this little girl. She grabbed her Pokedex from sack.

"A SHINY?" she exclaimed, recoiling and startling Aiolia in the process. This was beyond lucky! She pulled up the slightly slimy basket to rest in the crook of her arm and scooped up the newborn between her hands. Entrusting herself to the fates was the right choice, without a doubt.

Seiko cuddled the bundle of pale lilac fluff and fur. "Hey there, cutie. I'm Seiko," she whispered. She then indicated in the cub's direction. "And that's Aiolia. How do you like the name 'Sasha'?"

The Fox Pokemon yipped happily and licked Seiko's cheek. She giggled at the sensation. I'll take that as a "yes"! She placed Sasha as well as the basket on the ground and turned her gaze to meet Aiolia's. "You did a great job."

Seiko cupped her hands over her mouth and called in the direction of the gooey trail. "Thank you for your blessing, Springtime Pyukumuku," Wherever you are. "This baby is in good hands!"

Seiko found her attention drawn down at the sounds of rummaging by her feet. She looked down to see Sasha chewing, her expression blissful and muzzle dotted in brown spots. "Ah... well, it's your birthday, so I guess the sweets are yours to enjoy."

"Vul, Vulpix!" the Fox Pokemon barked and nuzzled her trainer's ankle. She returned to the basket and withdrew a bracelet before presenting it to the young woman.

Seiko blinked. "Oh, is this for me?" she slipped the item around her wrist. "Well, thank you." She picked up the basket motioned for her companions to follow.

"Come on Sasha, let's get going. There's big, big world to discover outside this cave."

Accepting the baby Shiny Alolan Vulpix, Sasha, and all items:

- Level 1 Female Shiny Alolan Vulpix
- 1 Icium Z (and Z-Ring)
- 1 TM Aurora Veil

There was, perhaps, something to be admired in the Springtime Pyukumuku's mischievous placement of the egg, but the baby's foul odor was simply too much to bear. One ruined promise of dessert was enough, and the pair hope to find something more pleasant as they journey on.

Past the fried sweets is a little vegetable tempura stand, advertising delicious fried broccoli, zucchini and sweet potato with homemade sauce. The sign's painted advertisement informs one and all that this is the place to get some grub, but there appears to be no vendor at the stand – instead, a small, white egg has been seated in the vendor's chair instead. The egg has two small punctures in it, where tiny little spiked appendages are attempting to break free and sink into some fried veggies. No sooner do Drew and his Rotom approach than do the pincers give one, heavy push, revealing the bug's head attached to them. With a wibble and a wobble, the body breaks free – only to accidentally take a tumble right off the chair! As luck would have it, a well-positioned Easter Basket breaks his fall – was that there before? Had Drew and Rotom simply not noticed it? And, for that matter, where did all the fried tempura go? There seems to be a slick of slimy residue where there once was tins full of fried veggie goodness... Somewhere closeby, Drew and Rotom hear a rather odd-sounding belch, followed by a rapidly fading pyu-pyu-pyu-pyu-pyu... Seems like even mythical beings in the Springtide Isles like a good snack, too.

~Grumble~

Drew clapped a hand over his rumbling stomach. "Man, that was really disappointing," the man dejectedly muttered. "That Gateau sounded like just the snack."

Bobbing along in the air beside his trainer with his "arms" trailing behind him, Rotom nodded. "Yeah, that smell was pretty rank." He paused, a thought forming. "Huh, which is weird now that you think about it. Alolan Grimer aren't supposed to smell bad; something about the toxic crystal-y things they form. Must've had some real mixed heritage to keep that lovely aspect of the species." The plasma Pokémon shrugged in a crackle of electricity. "Whatever, good as Gateau is, it all mostly tastes like molecules to me."

Drew glanced over with a look of annoyance. "Speak for yourself; I'm hungry."

Rotom rolled his eyes in exasperation, but perked up when he looked ahead. "Then you're in luck, you Munchlax. Right there: delicious vegetable tempura. All the healthy goodness of broccoli or sweet potatoes or whatever, deep fried until said goodness has been buried under layer and layer of rich fatty batter like it was never there."

"You make things sound so appetizing," Drew deadpanned, before he visibly brightened. "Sweet potatoes do sound pretty good though." At that, the trainer approached the stand, eyes fixed on the trays of fried goods waiting to be eaten. "I'll have a sweet potato with the homemade sauce please," he said to whoever was manning the tempura stall.

For a beat, there was quiet. Then, two distinct sounds. From behind, the quiet snickering of his Rotom. From in front, a quick crack, followed soon by a second. Drew's head shot up, surprised to see a small egg wiggling atop the vendor's chair. Lines spider webbed down from the pincers protruding outwards as the egg wiggled and wobbled, trying its best to be free. Bit by bit, shell dropped down to reveal the smiling visage of a Grubbin, just in time for the Grubbin to give one last push out of the egg... and off the chair.

Panicked, Drew and Rotom both started to lunge forward, only to abort upon seeing the incredibly serendipitous Easter Basket primed to catch the grub. "Huh, that's a convenient place to put an Easter basket," Rotom lampshaded.

Drew let out his held breath, reaching down to pick up the basket. "Don't look the cliched horse in its mouth, Rotom. We were that close to maybe losing this little guy." Cradling the basket to his chest, Drew reached out his hand to stroke the Grubbin's head. Loving the attention, the Grubbin gave a little 'coo' before completely ruining the moment with a strong vice-grip. Drew only just managed to bite back a curse as pain throbbed through his fingers. Rotom, meanwhile, was not as successful at holding his laughter.

It was a gentle process, prying your fingers from mandibles, but Drew managed. "Well, we've found our egg," he said, ignoring the plasma Pokémon’s outburst of giggles. "Guess we're getting kicked off this island now. We did find some swag though."

Settling down, the Rotom leaned over the basket, drawing the attention of the Grubbin. The little grub snapped again in a vice-grip, which luckily for the plasma Pokémon swiped harmlessly through. Rotom blew a little raspberry in response, causing the Grubbin to giggle. "So what'd we get, then?"

"Looks like a TM," Drew responded, leafing through the basket's contents while the Grubbin's focus was elsewhere. "Some candies. A bunny suit, for some reason. Ooh! A Z-Ring!"

"A what?"

"A Z-Ring, Rotom. It's an Alola thing. Think almost like mega-evolution but for moves instead of the actual Pokémon." Drew extracted said item, slipping it onto his left wrist. "It's supposed to work with a trainer's bond to their Pokémon or something. They're pretty rare things, given to those trainers who succeed in at least one of the Alola Island Trial things."

"Or apparently for hatching an egg," Rotom added.

"Or apparently for hatching an egg," Drew agreed. Suddenly his mouth upturned in a wicked grin. "You know what just hit me?"

"I have a feeling you'll tell me regardless," Rotom muttered, making a silly face for the Grubbin.

"There is currently no one watching this tempura stand!"

"Hm?" Rotom looked up, over Drew's shoulder at said stand. He tried and failed to stifle a laugh. "Yep, there was no one watching that tempura stand."

A note of confusion entered Drew's voice. "What?" He turned... only to find every bit of food gone, replaced by a thin coat of slime. "What?!" With perfect timing, the trio of person and Pokémon heard an incredibly loud belch from somewhere nearby, followed by a faint pyu-pyu-pyu-pyu-pyu.

There was a beat of silence, then, "...What?!"

A look of simultaneous awe and amusement passed over Rotom's face. "I rescind every doubt I might have had."

It wasn't until later, on the boat back to the mainland, that it occurred to Drew. Bolting upright from his chair on the observation deck, he turned to Rotom, currently occupying the newly dubbed Donnie by making shapes out of his plasma arms. "Shit, Rotom, we forgot Corvin."

Rotom froze in place, quite a feat for his species. The plasma Pokémon’s eyes grew wide. "Well, shit."

The shrill harmonica pierced through the jail cell.

"Now, when I was a young bird"

Corvinus the Murkrow sat - sprawled really - against the wall of the cell. Atop his crown a Pyukumuku-themed trilby perched precariously, completely clashing with the garish pink sunglasses resting on his beak. Completing his disheveled look was a very nice harmonica, silver finished with a pattern of the Springtime Pyukumuku across the top. Somehow, the crow drew noise from the instrument, a rather skillful bluesy riff despite his relative inexperience.

"At the age of five (days that is)"

He hadn't meant for this, in the start. He'd honestly meant to just search for eggs, in the beginning. Things just sort of spiraled.

"My mother said I was gonna be"

He blamed the harmonica.

"The greatest bird alive"

The shiny temptation was too strong to resist.

"But now I'm an old bird"

Was a damn good one though. Great sound.

"I'm near age twenty-one"

He wondered how long he'd be stuck here, before someone came for him.

"I want you to believe me, baby"

If only he didn't have to keep hearing that darn pyu-pyu-pyu-pyu-pyu...

"I had lots of fun."

You chase after your Vulpix who was tracking something up in the Icy Caverns, or at least so it appeared. The fire-type was left in your care for reasons unknown to you as of yet but already she was proving to be a handful by bolting away from you. Calling after her to restrain herself only caused you to be met with a fiery cough. Perhaps though, Suzu was actually on the trail of something important. An egg perhaps hidden with the icy corridors? Or did she see the fabled Springtime Pyukumuku? Impossible as though it may seem you let your Pokémon take the lead on this one and stay as close as possible, a feat that wasn’t particularly easy once inside the caverns as while the fire-type Vulpix could surprisingly leap bounds across icy patches you yourself were spending the better part of your time trying not to skid. One misstep and you performed an unintended split, sinking through your legs before toppling over face first. Your claw your way off of the icy floor in chase of the Vulpix and once you get up you feel the warm trickle of blood coming from your nose.

No matter, as your Vulpix gave another cough of fire to indicate in which corridor she resided. You take a few more steps when you suddenly hear a squelching sound and a shadow disappearing around the corner behind you. Was that…? Suzu barks for you to come and you heed her call, closing in on her noise. What you find is a large icy floor and a single egg placed precariously at its perimeter. You near the pale blue egg with dark, straight lines carefully and try to grab it, only to have the egg slip from your grip as soon as you did and skid across the ice to the other side of the room. The egg wobbles and you wonder if it’s going to topple, only to find it gyroscopically spinning itself to keep it upright. Whatever was inside, it knew it’s way around icy slips.
Spitting away the blood trickling down his nose as it dribbled into his frosted lips, Ian slipped and slid further into the caverns after his spritely Vulpix. A squelching sound almost made the fellow fall over in shock as he tried his best to refrain from spinning around to investigate the source. Eventually, he managed to find his way to Suzu, who was skirting around a pale blue egg. Trying to reach for the delicate object, Ian slipped once more, the egg flying away with it, spinning as if to show it had way better balance than he did.

That thing had ridiculous balance, spinning like a Baltoy except on ice. Mildly irritated, he contemplated kicking the egg before remembering that he would probably more likely to hurt himself than actually reach the egg. Thinking about how he would even be able to reach the egg in the first place, he scanned around the room to see if there was anything for him to cling onto while drawing closer to it.

Nothing. Great.

As much as it attracted Suzu's attention, Ian felt that this egg would be too much of a handful for him to handle, and way too much blood to lose along the way. With a dejected sigh, he left the egg to spin on as he called Suzu to continue the search. Maybe the Springtime Pyukumuku would take care of that egg in his stead while the duo continued the search in these chilly caverns.

"Oh, also. Suzu, mind letting me hug you for a bit? It's way too cold for me."

"Kon!"

*embers ensue*

He was very much not fond of this environment. Despite being a man of the North, born and raised in the near-glacial region of Heiml, Rorik had never been very tolerant of cold. He remained indoors as much as possible, devoting his life to his research within the warm confines of his lab, and only ventured outside when it was absolutely necessary – yet another aspect in which he was the polar opposite of his brother Erik.

It was therefore unsurprising that his discomfort overpowered his curiosity and that, as a result, the frozen area was insufficiently examined. To make matters worse, despite being perfectly acclimated to the current weather thanks to his Thick Fat, Rorik’s partner Munchlax did not convey much interest in exploration either, quickly having come to the conclusion that the odds of finding something edible in those parts were slim to none. Thus, it fell on the Professor to scour the surroundings, something he was doing an undeniably poor job at.

The things I do for research! I can’t feel my hands anymore… Was this trip a waste of time?

He was starting to believe so. He’d lost track of time, but they’d been braving the terrain for quite a while, and so far, they were turning up empty-handed. Perhaps the fabled Pyukumuku had reconsidered its egg-laying route when it ran into such harsh conditions…

A researcher’s life is based mostly on his studies, the tireless pursuit of updated information; decisions are drawn primarily from theoretical knowledge, proven concepts and the published input of experts. However, there comes a time when theory is insufficient, and the appeal of field study is too strong to resist. Such had been the case with Professor Rorik Pine, who now found himself wondering why on earth he followed that silly impulse.

Wait… what is that?

As it turned out, instinct could be much more valuable than knowledge at rare times. An unnatural crack on the icy wall caught Rorik’s attention, and he followed its path with his gaze; it extended backwards to the tunnel he’d only just crossed, but had neglected to properly inspect. And although he couldn’t possibly justify it, there was something about it that peaked his interest….

I really, really shouldn’t, but what if?...

Contrary to any basic rule of common sense, he dropped to one knee and inserted his hand into the hole on the shattered ice; his fingers met a smooth surface, out of placed in a world of irregular shapes and sharp edges like this. Trying his best to ignore the numbing cold that spread from his fingertips to the rest of his body, Rorik pulled the strange object out… to find what was most assuredly a Pokémon Egg!

“M-Munchlax, w-we… we f-f-found it!”

Despite his elation, the overwhelming cold finally forced him to let go of his treasure, his hands burning painfully. But just as he prepared to pick it back up and place it in his Bag, another human voice echoed throughout the cave, much to his astonishment. They’d been followed?!

“I really do hate to intrude, but…”

The man’s face was unfamiliar to Rorik, though the fair hair and light green eyes made it highly likely that he, too, was a northerner. Alongside the sharply-dressed man – and really, who even wore a suit in such a place? – was a Snover, and both of them had their eyes locked on the Professor, much to his discomfort.

The living tree raised its arms and a powerful gust of sub-zero wind kicked up, dragging a million tiny ice particles with it. And whereas the Snover’s human companion didn’t seem to mind it one bit, both Rorik and Munchlax suddenly felt their limbs go numb…

“… A Heimlan who cannot withstand the cold is unworthy of such rich reward. Sincerest apologies, Professor.”

In a matter of seconds, both Rorik and his gluttonous partner were fully encased in a thick layer of ice, unable to put up any kind of struggle. Humming a merry melody, Wolfgang Lauther casually walked over to the pristine white Egg and picked it up like it was nothing, then exchanged a cheerful smile with Snover.

“Fortune smiles upon us, Attila! Time to see what secrets this little one holds.”

With a stroke of luck you had managed to catch one of the last ferries to the Springtime island. While it would have always been possible to visit the island some other time, now of all moments was when sightings of the mysterious Springtime Pyukumuku were flying around as the latest rumours. The Easter Buneary had apparently taken a break this year, leaving the strange bunny-eared sea cucumber to pick up the slack. Scattered across the island were eggs galore in various hiding spots, though sadly most had by now been picked off by the other visitors. You were going to have to start your search quickly if you hoped to find an egg, let alone have a choice of eggs.

With an obvious love of water types you headed towards one of the two coastal areas, hoping to find an egg of matching origin. Your Golett Megas however had different interests as it started smashing boulders one by one in feats of minor strength. You start crossing the terrain into the more wet and slippery parts. Hopefully no egg here would have been discovered yet. You had your hiking boots on, figuring it would help you traverse the smooth rubble. Alas, this doesn't turn out to be nearly as true when you confidently try to jump from one patch of rocks to another to dodge a fearsome Krabby, when your foot slips and you land painfully on your face. You get back up in pain, clutching your nose only to figure the Krabby had won and retreated itself when noticing the red colour dripping from your nose. Megas quickly joins your side, strangely holding onto a rather large boulder, and indicates your attention towards it. You don't understand what it is that made the boulder so fascinating to the Golett but the Pokémon swiftly punched the rock and cracked it straight through. Slabs of rock dropped to the ground and in the Golett's palm rested a tan egg with pieces of rock still surrounding the centre of it as if it were forming a collar or a bow-tie of some sorts.
As Bill continued to search for those mysterious eggs far and wide on these crags when suddenly a very tiny Krabby appeared. Deciding not to really bother with it, Bill attempted to jump over the next crag, only to find the combination of loose rock and wet terrain caused his footing to collapse out from under him. He landed face first onto the hard rock, but to add insult to injury, the Krabby gave what appeared to be a joyful "kukee kukee" before retreating into a small cavern. A slightly peeved Bill reached into the tunnel after it, but his hand could only reach so deep, and the water-type Pokemon retreated.

Megas started to exclaim happily. Bill turned towards the robot Pokemon to see that it located an egg. After it roughed around some more of the stone walls, it found an egg buried deep within a tunnel system, not likely the same one the Krabby retreated, but who knows, it could be. Either way, this egg deserved a closer examination. A brown one with a bow tie pattern on it. Bill felt a radiance within it, a very energetic and happy and bouncy one. One that...kind of can be found within Megas itself. As much as he liked the egg, something felt....off about it. Bill couldn't quite place it, except that he could tell that this wasn't the egg for him. He took a deep breath looked at the now-collapsed cave that it was in before speaking.

"Let's put it back," Bill told his companion. "And then we'll continue to find another egg." Megas, a bit disappointed, nodded its head as the two continued their journey.

OoC: Fun fact, one of those pinchers could rip a tank apart.

You obtained:
- Lv.1 Genderless Minior
- 1 Flyinium Z OR 1 Groundium Z
- 1 TM Aurora Veil
- 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies
- 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25%

Congratulations on finishing your Springtide Event campaign! After replying to this post you may claim your reward. Please note that you may pick the color of your Minior's core.
Mélina and Starlette resumed looking around the Shrine of the Moon, quietly leaving the sleeping egg in peace. It started to be more difficult to see though, as the sun was slowly setting. It didn't bother the duo that much at first, until they started to feel some kind of sense of dread, replacing the comfort they had earlier... They weren't sure why, until they noticed the eyes of the Lunala statue seemed to have more spark into them? They weren't the eyes of a caring and stern mother anymore, they now looked like the threatening glare of a wolf, staking their prey...

The uncanny tranquility abruptly broke as a creepiest laugh was heard.

"Pyu-pyu-pyu-pyu-pyu~"

Mélina froze in place while Starlette pulled her ears back, but as they listened more carefully to that chuckle, it sounded strangely more... cheerful and amicable. As it came from behind them, the two turned around, and see... absolutely nothing. The woman gazed left and right with a puzzled expression, until her Pikachu got her attention to look downwards.

"A basket... and a rock? I mean I like collecting rocks, but... I thought this was a spring celebration, not Halloween..." Mélina sigh aloud as she stared at the small boulder, especially at its obvious crack on the top...

...or two? Or three? Or more!? And they're getting larger and larger, after every little crack!

"WAIT A MINUTE." the trainer exclaimed aloud, finally realizing that this wasn't just a simple rock: it was an egg, of all things! She immediately gasped and flopped down on the ground in excitement (with Starlette playfully climbing up on top of her head) to see the miracle of Pokémon life happening before her very eyes. "What would it be? What would it be!?" she thought to herself in a similar matter to a kid unwrapping a Christmas present.

When all the pieces of the shell fell, there was no doubt on the answer of question from Mélina's inner child: a round-ish, brown cracked rock, with five little holes with little white spikes sticking out and two other big, dark holes in front for eyes... it only could be a Minior, the Meteor Pokémon.

"Awwwwwwww, it's so cute! Best rock ever!" she delightfully glee before toning down her voice to a softer, motherly one. "Welcome to the world little guy! How are you?"

The Minior responded in a way that the girl can only describe it as a muffled 'sparkling' sound. Whatever it said, Starlette gave him what sounded like a warm welcome, herself.

"Well, I'll take good care of you! Now, I know you have just been born and all, but I think we better be on the move soon. It's getting dark, the last ferry is fairly early at night, and I dunno what time it- oh my gosh," the trainer's calm expression melt away to replace to a panicked one as she looked at the time flashing on her Pokédex, "we have to leave NOW! the last ferry is leaving soon! Come on little comet, let's go catch it before we get stuck here!"

After getting back on her feet as fast as she physically could then grabbed the basket of goodies, Mélina, Starlette and her newfound Minior friend dash out and away from the Shrines of the Sun and Moon, reaching the docks on record time... and only a minute before the last boat leaving Springtide Isle left its shores.

It seems that someone else has come along and taken away the egg you had been looking for. I'm not really sure what that was about, but maybe we should switch perspectives over to this mystery trainer. While his methods of obtaining the egg were dubious at best and probably thievery, it seems that the egg didn't really know what was going on and began to shake in the trainer's arms. It glowed a bright white color and seemingly got colder in the trainer's hands, but the trainer genuinely didn't seem to mind. The shell of the egg began to crack and in a final brilliant display of light, the egg hatched.

The Pokemon inside of the egg chirped as it saw you, a fluffy little thing that seemed happy to see its new trainer and oblivious to whatever that weird ice formation was behind it. It looks to be an Alola Vulpix, another Ice-type for the trainer to add to his team of cold things. The Vulpix hops down and sniffs Attila, before running forwards, looking around in the cave in front of you. It sees the exit and begins to yip at the trainer, wanting it to come with it. The Springtime Pyukumuku silently watches, before it takes a deep breath in. It cannot break the bond between Pokemon and trainer but...

A large fist suddenly shoots out of the ice and hits the trainer on the back of the head, knocking him over and knocking him out. It was a non-fatal blow, but it should leave him reeling for a while. The Springtime Pyukumuku coos before continuing to do its good work, spreading eggs around the island to good little Trainers. It seems it accidentally left something behind though, a little goodie bag. After you wake up, you might want to go pick that up. Inside is:

-1 Icium Z
-1 Aurora Veil TM
-3 Springtime Chocolate Candies
-1 Bunny Suit

Please reply to this post to pick up your Level 1 Male Alola Vulpix as well as your gifts!

He dreamed of Heiml, of the days spent in prison, that underground hellhole beneath the Army’ Central HQ in Yggdra City. Every time he’d been tortured, screaming in pain and writhing in agony during interrogations, he could just see the country’s beloved General some three floors above playing his little wargame on the office desk, his pretty map of the region and his toy soldiers and his glass of whisky. He’d endured that suffering at the hands of Roderick Tannhauser for ten years, but he’d given him nothing. Heiml’s General had failed to break him, and in the end, Lauther had escaped. This dream was just that – an unpleasant recollection of a conquered challenge. He would build up his strength here, in Fizzytopia, away from prying eyes, and when he was powerful enough, he would return to Heiml and overthrow Tannhauser. It would be him, Wolfgang Lauther, to guide the Heimlan Army to victory in the war against Saigo. And it would be Tannhauser who would rot in a cell for the rest of his life, at least until Lauther thought of a more fittingly painful end for the man.

“No victory without sacrifice, or so they say,” mumbled Lauther as he came to, having been struck by something so hard it had knocked him out cold – most likely some wild Pokemon he’d neglected to notice after taking the egg. His head was positively killing him. “Still, this is nothing compared to what they put me through back home.”

Aware of his Trainer’s resilience, Attila didn’t look the least bit concerned, merely waving from a distance when he realized Lauther had come to. The Snover was busy rummaging through something near the icicle-encased Professor, a bag of some sort…

“Oh? What else have we been blessedwith, my friend?”

The Snover smiled as he pulled each item out of the bag. Special Candies to empower Pokémon, a disk containing what he could immediately sense was a technique suited to his kind, a strange bunny suit he was quick to discard and, finally….

“Oh my. It seems we did strike gold in this little expedition! Attila, that is….”

A glimmering crystal containing unimaginable power, it would serve as yet another addition to Lauther’s arsenal – a weapon he, like no other man, should be able to yield with maximum efficiency. The rare Z-Crystal Icium-Z… What devastation could it bring about?

Suddenly, he heard a mewling sound coming from behind, a cry for attention that brought a smile to the well-dressed man’s lips before he’d even turned to meet the source. He might’ve been assaulted shortly afterwards, but the memory of watching that egg hatch was still fresh in his mind. The hatchling had been a beautiful white Vulpix, who now called out to him, having had enough of waiting for his “father’s” embrace.

“Come here, my little prince. I am delighted to make your acquaintance… We will achieve grand things together,” he said softly as he picked up the newborn fox in his arms, again unfazed by the extreme cold he emitted. It seemed as though the offspring possessed the same precious Ability as Atiila, a summoner of hail. “Welcome to my family, dear Beowulf.”

Still somewhat dizzy, but immensely happy at the outcome of their trip, Lauther motioned for his two precious friends to follow him, throwing the frozen Professor and his Munchlax one final look.

Sincerest apologies. You were just not part of the bigger picture.

The spinning top that masqueraded as an egg wasn’t exactly the right fit for you you felt. Not to mention the fact that you’d have to traverse the icy flooring in order to get to it. You opted to leave this egg alone and called to your Pokémon to move on in pursuit of new treasure. The cave corrdiros narrow and split into mirroring caves, each encrusted in reflective crystals that breathed a cold air. The path you chose slithers up a slope and you and your Vulpix carefully makde your tread while the mist thickened itself around you. You start wondering if this was the right path for you as the mist curled itself in front of you sight and lowered your vision to but a mere few feet. Then there, in the distance, an unsettling gaze of strange pink eyes lured from the depths of the fog. AN unnerving sensation settled in you and if you called out you would not get an answer. You slowly trudge up the slope a bit closer to the ever-looming pink gaze when the mist parts and you find a hollow carved into a rock wall. Inside, an egg was nestled within some down and the pink stare turns out to be nothing more than some strange luminescence coming from within the gg’s shell. It was as if it was calling out to you.

This egg…you felt a radiance of happiness, joy, coming from it. It had, to your feelings; a happy, energetic and bouncy spirit. This…was not the egg for you. (Hey, your words, not mine.)
After instructing Megas to return the egg you dwell deeper into the cave, with not soon thereafter being in need of some illumination if you were going to see anything. Stalagmites emerged where water dripped itself on the cave floor, and after pushing on a little further you find a section of the cave that was littered with spikes from wall to wall, both large and small, reminiscent of some strange splatstick scene from a horror movie. This was not a place for any normal person to play a game, but then again, the Springtime Pyukumuku was not known for being conventional; as the reason you delved deeper was exactly because of the metallic shine one of the mineral spears gave off. A strange growth grew on the side of it, and as you drew nearer, avoiding the splattersticks as much as you could, you find it to be an oval boulder with iron shavings attaching itself to the rocky peak. Whatever this was, it magnetized the area around itself - as even Megas could tell when closing in. Its strange shape however reminded you off the rocky egg you saw earlier – the one with the bowtie - and you wonder if this may very well be something similar. You’d have to navigate your way between all the stalagmites though. Was it worth a closer inspection?

As Bill ventured deeper into the cave, something caught the corner of his eye, he couldn't tell right away what it was, except that it was shining in a dark cave. An exit maybe? Though it was either really small or kind of far away, not that he could really tell. Bill really wished that he had brought some spelunking gear, but his curiosity was too much, so he carefully made his way towards the light source. Eventually, he found himself in a spacious area filled with stalactites and stalagmites and...whatever the ones that grow from the wall are called. This place was filled to the brim with these spikes, jutting out from everywhere. Whatever this place is, it was really creepy, a sort of place that reminded Bill way too much of some of the trap rooms he witnessed in some of his expeditions in ruins.

"Are there ruins here on the island?" he said aloud to no one in particular. From what he remembered of the island, with the exception of the Springtime Pyukumuku, nothing really stood out about this island in Bill's mind. Whatever the reason, he could tell at least that this place wasn't naturally carved out like this, he would have to keep a close eye out, just in case something unsavory decided to show up.

As he looked through the spikes, he realized that the light source was actually coming from one of them, so an exit from this cave didn't seem likely, unless it was on the other side. He noticed it was a stone orb of some sort, situated on top of one of the stalags. The shine itself that he noticed was nothing more than metal shavings reflecting some sort of other light. He could also feel the static in the air, this egg was magnetized.

Not sure what to think he sat back and pondered the situation. On one hand, the egg could hold a pretty sweet Pokemon, useful for his journey. On the other hand, he could try traveling deeper and see if he could find one more egg instead.

"Go-Golett," Megas said, flexing its arms, looks like it wants to take care of the spike problem.

After mulling it over, Bill nodded his head at the Golett. "Okay, let's go for it. We'll have to be careful though, we don't want to cause a Cave-in."

"Goooo" the Golett replied, disappointment oozed from its voice.

After mulling it over, you decide to go for it. Damn all of the pointy spikes, Megas was more than capable of handling them. The rocky spears may be many and sharp but were lacking in girth and stability. Megas threw the first, gentle, punch and easily cracked one of the spikes clean off the floor, throwing it into another stalagmite. The stony tower crumbled underneath the force and a pile of rubble was all that remained. Many spikes still lingered though, and if Megas was going to hold back out of fear of cave-ins it might end up taking a while. Oh well…

(For what felt like fifteen days later):
Megas was having none of it any more. The tunnel’s fangs had practically become an insult to his power. If he wanted to, (and if you want him to), he could merely flick one of his fingers against the last of few needles with a tap, cracking the base and sending pieces of it ricocheting against the remaining few. What remained around you was but a wasteland of rubble that you and Megas had caused. Oh who knows how long it might have taken nature to shape an elegant portrait as the stalagmite trap inside the cave - it was an effort in vain if it could not withstand you and your Pokémon’s prowess in a single day.
Never mind that, your prize was within reach. The growth attaching itself to one of the more sturdier stalagmites of the cave gave off an eerie light that glowed at regular intervals like a heartbeat in rest. You make your first touch on the egg’s shell, when the grey incandescent light starts beating faster, the heart within racing in anticipation. You and Megas keep a safe distance for a while as the egg wobbles and breaks the stalagmite’s pike clean off the base, toppling the pair of them to the floor where the hard eggshell cracked underneath the force. The cracks grew as the egg wobbled, an inner earthquake shredding the foundation of its womb. Two dark grey hands emerged from within a crack and took a hold from the outside, pulling open the crack even further like a man gruffly exercising at a gym. And like the man at the gym, the Pokémon within celebrated his victory with a tumultuous roar as the egg shell parted and a pewter boulder emerged. All around you, fragements of the stalagmite Megas broke trembled between their dormant siblings before magnetically lifting themselves off the floor and instantly zipping to the angry-looking Pokémon’s bald scalp. With his new hairdo and thick eyebrows, the Alolan Geodude looked up at you and extended a hand as if in greeting, before closing it into a thumbs-up.

After the proper greetings had been made, you and your group head for the exit, the sun now dipping into the ocean’s horizon, and find a cool breeze wafting over you. A red-and-white checkered blanket is lifted by the wind, revealing to you a gift basket of delicious treats and tokens dedicated to you and your new partner Pokémon.

You obtained:
- Lv.1 Male Alolan Geodude
- 1 Rockium Z or Electrium Z
- 1 TM Aurora Veil
- 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies
- 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25%

Congratulations on finishing your Springtide Event campaign! After replying to this post you may claim your reward.

As Megas was finishing cleaning up this room of all the spikes around, Bill was able to make it to the egg no problem. After carefully removing the egg from its holster, he examined it closely. It has some sort of static running on its shell, probably throughout it. No doubt about it, this egg is definitely magnetized. He thanked the gods that the only electronic on his person right now was his Pokedex, and it was pretty much Poke-proof.

After what seemed like an eternity, the egg finally hatched. Megas didn't bother just standing around, that was boring. It pretty much cleared the rest of the stalagmites surrounding because it was less boring than doing nothing at all. Bill on the other hand contemplated what kind of Pokemon was sleeping within the shell. Two arms emerged, followed by the rest of a gruff-looking body of some sort of Geodude. Though it looked...different from any other Geodude he had ever seen before.

He held up his Pokedex to the Pokemon before it sprang up and said
Quote:
Geodude, the Rock Pokemon
Its body is a magnetic stone. Iron sand attaches firmly to the portions of its body that are particularly magnetic.
"Huh," Bill muttered to himself. "Must be an effect of the island." A Pokemon being magnetic wasn't the weirdest thing he had heard, after all, there was that one island where all the Pokemon were pink.

The Geodude squinted towards the trainer, giving what appeared to be a steely gaze, before it approached the trainer and hit him head-on.

The attack caused Bill to stumble back onto the remaining stalagmite. The Geodude tried the same tactic again, its arms appearing to look like it was about to strangle the trainer. He quickly dodged to the side, the geodude's momentum though caused it to slam into the rock formation, causing it to fall and reveal a small crystal. The Geodude shook off the blow and looked at the crystal, before looking back up at Bill...then back down to the crystal. It eyeballed the crystal closely before smashing it into little pieces. It then picked up the biggest two pieces it could find and held it up to its eyes.

"What the?" this had legitimately confused the trainer. He was used to random acts of violence from Megas, but...this was strange even for Bill. It then gave a smile as it looked through the crystal before Bill clued in. The Geodude wasn't attacking the trainer at all, it seemed to have poor eyesight and it was trying to feel its way around. Whatever that crystal's curvature was, it seemed to help. So...it was magnetic...that means that metal could stick to the Geodude. He fished out two small metal clips from his belongings before grabbing the crystal out of the Geodude's hand, the latter of which was none too pleased about it.

Bill then latched the crystal pieces onto each of the clips and stuck them onto the Geodude's eyebrows. The crystals seemed to hold enough into place, even with the weaker magnetic field there.

"That should do until we get you some eyeglasses at the boutique," Bill stated to his new Pokemon. Maybe he could special order some that would just magnetically attach to the Geodude, since it lacked the ears or nose that normally would hold up glasses. The Geodude gave a thumbs-up.

"Okay, let's head out of here. Megas and um...hmmmm...what's a good name for you? ......oh! I got it. Trono."

Picking up:
Trono, the male Geodude (ability: Galvanize)
1 Electrium Z
1 TM Aurora Veil
3 Springtide Rare Candies
1 Bunny Suit

The egg is shaking so vigourously, in fact, that it flips out of your arms and slams into the ground. The egg shell shatters, but it seems that the Pokemon inside came out unharmed, looking around to see where it is before it sees you. While its not as scaly as the egg might have suggested, the proud Pokemon stares at you while holding its ground, a large yellow heart shaped scale on it head revealing that the Pokemon is, in fact, a Jangmo-o! A rare Dragon-type Pokemon from Alola. The Springtime Pyukumuku is even able to spread these kind of eggs around, although it might have needed a couple of bandages from being headbutted.

You debate whether to approach the little one, when suddenly, it charges towards you, looking ready to headbutt you! You flinch for a moment before the Jangmo-o backs off. Seems like that was some sort of mock charge, as it smiles and looks at you. Seems like it already considered you a friend. The little guy bounds forward, when it sees something in the shrubbery. Bounding over too it, it bites a strap poking out of the shrubbery before pulling it out. It's a sack full of items, and you find a small card indicating it was from the Springtime Pyukumuku.

x1 Dragonium Z
x1 Aurora Veil TM
x3 Easter Chocolate Candies (Each worth 1 Rare Candy)
x1 Brand Name Bunny Suit: The user's healing moves heal 25% more HP and the user jumps 50% higher.

Please reply to this post to claim your gifts and your Level 1 Male Jangmo-o!
Ultra mega super late forever.

I am claiming these gifts now and putting my little Jangmo-o in a Luxury Ball.
