All the casinos in Vegas are full of Meowth. This is strangely appropriate.

I heard a rumor that pokemon wouldn't spawn in airports because it could create a security risk or some garbage. I was happy to discover the exact opposite is the case. Airports are teeming with pokestops and gyms, and even the TSA agents are playing Pokemon! I used to think that layovers were annoying, but now they're actually enjoyable. The Pokemon and Gyms keep me occupied, and someone always drops a lure in the waiting area. It's also a cool way to diversify my collection with the regional species. Apparently Philadelphia is full of Pinsir, and Las Vegas is predictably full of Ground types.
I think I will go with deo's strategy of evolving the higher CP mon. I'm running out of storage for both Pokemon and items. Time to transfer the extras, and dump some items, I guess. I hope that discarding Revives doesn't come back to bite me later.

Today's walk was relatively uneventful, but decent all the same. Stocked back up on Poké Balls, which included buying 20 with PokéCoins. Which takes me to my next point- the local Gym. Today it was back under Team Valor control, but needed some leveling up. Which got me a nice chance to see just how my Snorlax does in battle. IT'S AWESOME. So yeah, leveled up the Gym, stuck Snorlax in there, which got me up to 100 PokéCoins. Didn't catch a lot today. Got a Squirtle, a Krabby, a couple of Spearow and Rattata, a Weedle, that sort of thing. And my Egg, my 10km Egg, is less than half a kilometer away from hatching!

Borrowed my sister's phone to get on and to both my nonsurprise and immense dissapointment the Venonat spawn point near these ruins nearby has been replaced with even more Weedle

Everyone's talking about spawn points changing and I still live in Drowzee country. Though I haven't actually found a Drowzee today, so maybe they did do something... There's actually none on the "nearby" thing, though there was a point earlier today when the only Pokémon nearby were a couple of Drowzee. Kinda wish this Bellsprout would come a little closer, though. Need me some more Bellsprout Candy!
EDIT: As if on cue! A wild Drowzee! Curiously, I got 100 XP bonus from catching it simply labeled "Bonus". Like, in addition to the normal 100 XP for catching it, listed right under that and right above the 10 XP I got for apparently throwing a curveball, which I didn't think I had done. I'm not one to look a gift Ponyta in the mouth, but even so, that's a new one on me. Last edited by Missingno. Master; 08-05-2016 at 04:39 PM. |

Ouch. I can only imagine how I'd react if I ever missed out on catching a Weezing. I would want to throw something. Likely at somebody's head.

Egg hatched into an Eevee! No complaints- gave me just enough Eevee Candy to evolve one. And judging by the little guy's IVs, smartest plan was to evolve the Eevee I just hatched. Got me a brand new Jolteon now! 955 CP- not the best I got, but not too far from it, either.

Eh, might as well give my GO experiences here. Today was a very eventful day as I've just hit level 10 and I just caught a wild Pidgeot, though it only has 147cp. For some reason our grocery store has a thing for the Pidgey line as I've also caught a couple Pidgeottos in that area as well. I haven't powered up or evolved anything so I don't have anything over 300cp.
Both my brother and my dad also have the game, though they haven't quite got to level 10 yet. It's amusing that Dad knows next to nothing about Pokemon, but he may end up doing better than both of us as he takes the bus downtown for work and can get stuff along the way. He even managed to catch a wild Victreebel. He claims that he got GO to annoy us, but it's neat for us to do something together.

...Your dad literally did what mine did, then. Get Go! to annoy his kids, I mean. Problem is that we can't get it with him, so I guess the fact that I've been able to enjoy simply talking to other people about it and reading your guys' adventure's here is kinda foiling his plans! Thankfully, my stepmother got it to have fun, so she's kinda helping me in that regard.

I'm having a blast but my phone's GPS broke. Can be aggravating when you're literally sitting on the Pokestop but Google thinks you're across the street...

I'm having a hard time hunting Pokemon thanks to lack of tracking system, so now I've been spending a lot of time biking for long distances to hatch eggs. Too bad I apparently can only hatch Paras and Venonat but sometimes I get rarer stuff like Diglett or Onix. I'm almost ready to lucky egg soon, I'm nearly 23 and I think I might be able to rocket through 23 to 24 with a lucky egg and my massive collection of pidgey and rattata

Pokemon Go just came out in my country, but it doesn't show up on my Play Store. I had to google it to direct me to the link, and it says the device is not compatible. I did check the official website and it did match the required specs. I heard it was incompatible with Intel processors, but Ninantic changed it. So is there any fixes to it? I feel pretty devastated ;;

Yeah that's what I ended up doing. Loving Pokemon Go, though it's weird how my parents are more into the game than I am. About 12 hours into the Singapore release, she caught about 26 something Pokemon.
Also there's a Pokestop right under where I live \o/

...I am speechless. I hatched a Staryu today, and just checked it out in the IV calculator. Apparently, this thing is perfection. Solid 15s across the board. 100% perfection. I... this has never happened to me before. And it's even got higher CP than the Staryu I'd been holding onto. Holy crap, no complaints!
So yeah, damn good walk today! I mean, I'd have liked to actually find that Porygon and Pinsir that the game said were nearby... but I did catch a Krabby, finally giving me enough Krabby Candy to evolve one into Kingler, with said Kingler being among my six strongest Pokémon. Took back the Gym from Team Mystic, which marked my first time going up against a Chansey. For something with low CP, that thing can take hits, I'll say that much. Also scored another Magikarp, getting me a few more candies closer to Gyarados. It's slow going, but every little bit helps. Got a 2km Egg already pretty close to hatching, and I'm close to halfway through level 18. Managed to evolve another Pidgeotto and Kakuna as well, for the quick and easy XP. So yeah, right now, Snorlax is holding down the local Gym, in the company of a formidable Rhydon and Hypno. Only time will tell how long this will hold up for, but considering how good my Snorlax is, I think there's reason for at least a little optimism. EDIT: Freaking Team Mystic didn't waste any time... And I also noticed now that I'm level 17 how ridiculous catches sometimes are. It's really becoming a lottery as to whether or not you catch a Pokémon or not. I've had a 105 CP Caterpie escape and run away after a Perfect Great Ball throw, and had a level 300+ CP Spearow captured with a single regular Pokéball Throw where 10 minutes earlier a 150 something CP Weedle had cost me 4 Pokéballs...

I've definitely noticed the high IVs hatched stuff tends to have too, so I did have high hopes for that Staryu... but even so!
And yeah, I see what you mean. I've been getting that kind of crap from Weedle, Pidgey, Spearow, and Drowzee as of late. And the aforementioned Krabby was giving me grief, too. But then you have moments like the Snorlax I caught on Thursday. Great Ball. Very first try. I also caught two more Squirtle today. I'm actually finding those to be relatively common. In stark contrast, I've only ever seen two Bulbasaur, one of which is the one I started with, and I've yet to so much as see a Charmander. Kinda hoping the 2km Egg I'm working on might hatch into one of those, actually. I need more Bulbasaur Candy to evolve mine into an Ivysaur, and... I just need a Charmander, period. Of course, I wouldn't have room to complain about another Squirtle, especially if it's hatched- that means more Squirtle Candy, and I'm trying to stockpile the 100 Squirtle Candy I need to evolve my Wartortle. UPDATE: The Egg has hatched into a Magikarp! DEFINITELY no complaints there- I'll take all the Magikarp Candy I can get! Last edited by Missingno. Master; 08-07-2016 at 03:10 PM. |

If the colored circle is still close to the outer edge of the big white circle, and you through the Pokéball on/in the colored circle, you get a "Nice!" throw bonus. If the colored circle is at about halfway and further into the big white one and throw your Pokémon on/in this colored circle you get a "Great!" throw bonus. If the colored circle is as small as a bulls-eye in darts, and throw the Pokéball on/in this colored circle you get a "Perfect!" throw bonus. But your aim needs to be really good for perfect. It's easier to aim for great bonuses...

I wish they still gave EXP for the good throws. I've gotten to where I can get Nice or Great most of the time, but there's no EXP bonus after making the catch.
I do like that I still get the level up items even when my bag is full. Currently sitting on 410/350 items. Makes it hard to replenish pokeballs though.
