According to the overwatch lore and his character skin, he was the prodigal son and he dishonored his family to some extent. And he was quite beautiful at that.

The only thing better than a 5 man Zarya ult that leads to a penta kill is when the sixth member is a Mercy and revives them all
I want to cry

Competitive is actually really broken right now and I advise everyone to stay away from it until it's fixed unless you love wasting your time. King of the Hill and Assault modes are granting an extremely small amount of XP, calculated out to be less than 5% of a total level's worth. Losing a game, on the other hand, makes you drop almost an entire level.
I played a few games after I placed at Level 41, won two games immediately, lots of medals, which should have been enough to put me around 42, but instead I only gained about 10% of my total XP. Then I lost two games and I went down to Level 39. It's not just me, a lot of people are pretty pissed about it on reddit. Exhibit A Exhibit B ^ The second one was basically me for both games. |

I was aiming for somewhere between 50 & 60 for rank but I had a few horrible losses in the placement and got 49. Kinda sucks but I'm gonna keep going for the goal of 60.
Anyway, here's another snipe, this time from a Pharah Rocket. Counldn't quite believe I'd got it myself as you can see. |

So, long ranged single target heals with likely burst delivery?

Turns out I got this today and, being the absolute shit that I've always been at FPS, my most successful character as far as POTMs so far has been Torbjorn. Because turrets thankfully don't require any sort of aiming skill.

Yep she looks amazing. Can't wait to try her out when she's available, although its gonna suck when EVERYONE is playing her.

Downloading PTR now. I'll update with my thoughts on her once I've played her enough, but on the face it she looks really cool. High skill ceiling and brings a really unique dynamic to the game; she has a lot of tools at her disposal but they're all relatively difficult to use (besides Q). She's also the anti-support with her biotic grenade thing that stops healing. Looks good.
Edit: So I played about an hour and a half of straight Ana. Obviously it's PTR so everyone is playing Ana, D.va and Zen, but I got a few interesting comps and got a feel for her. In terms of how she feels to play, for starters, her no-scope is great. I set my reticule to dot and holy god is it nice to play with on this hero. It's great for healing your allies cause they're likely not gonna dodge your heals so it saves time you would lose when you're scoped. And even then, her scope is really fluid and quick to use. Feels much nicer and quicker than Widow's scope, and you can actually somewhat quickscope with her. Secondly, her sleep dart is one of the most satisfying abilities to land. Its VERY hard to hit from medium range (had a bastion jump over one) but if you manage to hit it they're stuck doing nothing for a long time provided nobody does damage. It's almost as good as getting a kill as you'll take them out of the fight until you decide to take them out. It's also great for interrupting stationary ults from the likes of heroes like Pharah & McCree. Finally, I'm suprised how much I actually stick with the team with Ana. I was expecting to be off in a safe spot providing heals for my team but I was getting sucked towards the combat every time, and doing suprisingly well. I'm not sure if thats down to having 4 Ana's on a team or she's actually more useful closer to the team, but it was more effective for me when I was really involved. I'm not sure if I'd call her viable yet. I can say for certain that she can't contend with the likes of Lucio and Mercy for outright healing capability, but she provides a lot more for the team. Her E is really strong too whether used on an ally or an enemy (you can also self-heal if you throw it on the ground). Reduced healing on tanks is a godsend, especially when you catch a Roadhog trying to heal and pop a quick E to negate it. It also has a really good range on it so you can stay relatively safe. Her nano-boost is amazing. Like, really really good. From playing it seems to work best on the damage tanks (Zarya, Roadhog), since it bolsters everything they already have. Genji is also pretty good with it on, and Ult Form Bastion with Nano-Boost is fucking terrifying. To add to that, you can use it from a fair range away. Bare in mind that you can't use the ult on yourself so if you get in a sticky situation you have to What she does lack, however, is any form of mobility. I think the hardest time I've had with her is against Winston, Tracer, and Genji. Genji for obvious reasons in that everything bar her Q can be deflected (although I have no idea what would happen if he deflected a dart... would it heal or hurt?). Tracer is a pain in the arse cause you rely so heavily on precision, and the only thing you'll most likely manage to get her with is your E... which does minimal damage. She'll stick to you like glue and you're gonna have a bad time. Winston can be incapacitated with a well timed Sleep Dart, but there are 2 problems with this. First problem being that 8/10 times when a Winston jumps in he's probably gonna take some form of immediate damage and wake up, and the second being if the Winston drops his shield as he jumps in and wastes your dart for a 12 second cooldown. Also, being a support, she lacks a lot of damage. The only damage you'll get is from your shots and you do 80 base damage over about a second. I've found this is great for Slow, Squishy targets, namely Pharah & McCree. Obviously she can't duel the likes of Widow and Hanzo based on damage alone but she does have fluidity with her scope on her side. So, I think she'll work well with offensive tanks and ranged offensive characters. Zarya & Roadhog are amazing with her, as is Reinhardt. Pharah is great with her as she can heal her whilst in the air to mitigate a lot of the damage on her, and care for her whilst she's ulting. However I think she'll require another support with her to make her really work well. It gives her some freedom to do damage and try and catch some sleep darts without having to full-time babysit. Pair up with a Mercy or Lucio for maximum potential. In terms of maps, I think she'll work great on the long stretches on payload maps, as she'll have a lot of room to position herself and survey. I doubt she'll be used much on KOTH maps with the likes of Lucio around, but the 2 point capture maps I can see her doing well in. So to summarise, she's really fun and rewarding to play. She offers great utility and a powerful ultimate, but she lacks the healing capabilities of other top-tier supports in favour of utility. She can change the outcome of a fight with a well timed Sleep Dart but it's difficult to pull off. She works best against stationary heroes and in the long stretches of maps, but suffers the most against mobile & disruptive heroes as she lacks a mobility spell. Great on Payload and 2Point, not great on KoTH. Works well as a part-time support paired with a full-time healer. Some of this might be nonsensical, it's late and this is all off the top of my head. Anyway, that's what I managed to get whilst playing her for a while. Edit 2: Oh and you know that "Shhh" thing at the end of the trailer? Yeah that's a highlight video. They're buffing D.Va, but I don't know if Blizz really understands why she isn't a common tank pick. Tanks IMO fall into two categories:
1. MOBA style, where you have enough HP to not be easily burned down but are disruptive enough that you can't be completely ignored (Zarya, Roadhog) 2. Literally get in the way all the goddamn time (Reinhardt) D.Va has elements of both, but pre patch doesn't do either of them well enough to really qualify as a tank (ignoring the fact that mech form HP doesn't go as far as you'd think when they put its massive headbox center mass): she's been better as a bully, using her speed and shield to run down isolated enemies and then win the 1v1 on sheer endurance. The buffs will help, but I suspect she'll still get picked primarily as a bruiser rather than a tank. |

I think it should go to 3.5 seconds, or have the ult come up less frequently. |

The main con about D.Va I find is that whilst she's a bit of an all rounder, others are specialised towards offense or defense and that's their selling point. The current defense matrix has too long a cooldown, and isn't up for long enough, which means she can't play that role to the standard that other tanks can, effectively forcing her into the bully role. I think the changes push her into a more versatile role, which gives her something unique that other tanks don't have whilst still being a viable option. |

Just picked up the game. Never really played any online FPS/competitive shooter before, ever, so this'll be fun for me.

Play Symmetra, Torbjorn or Winston and enjoy killing people without having to know how to aim, or play Lucio and Mercy to be a force multiplier and subsequently hate yourself when you spend half your games multiplying a zero.

Download and sign up for Plays.tv. You can set it to manual record or have it record all your games. I don't have much room on my computer atm so I tend to set it to manual and just record the highlights in the menu screen. Saves space but doesn't get my small non-highlight plays.
