A Hat In Time
So I didn't see a thread for this, thought I'd set one up. For those of you who don't know, there's currently a Kickstarter going on (which is almost finished, but w/e) for Gears For Breakfast's brand new 3D Platforming collect-em-up in the vein of Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64, which has raised a huge amount of money so far, almost $200,000.
AND IT LOOKS AMAZING. The cel-shaded graphics are colourful and vibrant, especially for something that is currently just a prototype in development. Grant Kirkhope, Banjo-Kazooie's composer is also on board to do a song because a particular stretch goal was met, and from what I've heard of the music, the first level has a very French accordion, Professor Layton-esque feel. So yeah, check out the Kickstarter in the link above, and get excited for a genre of gaming that's been somewhat lost from our current generation. If you want to see more gameplay footage, here are some videos by JoshJepson on Youtube: #1, #2 |
