At that moment, Pan's impatient tummy rumbled, and petulantly piped up he'd rather they focus on finding food first, before being forced to stand for a long time just to purchase some flashy trinkets. Patty rolled her eyes, but her own flickering flame indicated fuel stores were low as well, so they set about searching for sustenance. Unfortunately all the restaurants appeared full too, with many other families eating out Christmas cuisine for a rare treat (most having made reservations already in advance), creating a chaotic yet cozy atmosphere. Waffle and Blue had to pull their poor children away from the window panes, as their mouths watered in jealousy (dripping wax all over the sill), watching the greedy goblins within chow down on delicacies and stuff their faces from the buffet. Sadly foregoing the prospect of a fancy meal, the group debated what to do as the growling in their bellies grew. Waffle chimed in with a suggestion he noticed as they passed by earlier: a quaint, quiet little outdoors café, a bit out of the way on the outskirts but far less busy with fewer foot traffic. The others eagerly agreed, and he led them back from the central square, keeping a static line strung around the party like fairy lights, in order to prevent them from getting separated and lost. Dodging and weaving past waves of people, they finally made it through the crowded sea to their destination, collapsing in an exhausted heap at a conveniently empty table near the entrance without even waiting to be seated, gasping collectively for air. As Jess breathed deeply and relaxed, steadily regaining strength, she caught the soft scent of something fragrant. A faint aroma that didn't quite register as perfume, but distinctly delectable. If not coming from one of the customers, could it be the coffee itself? Jess was no expert on blends or brewing, having never cared to try the stuff beyond the mild amount in flavored cakes, but she felt this was different - at least compared to the instant powdered Blue meanwhile, having recovered some of her energy and inflated back to regular size, was intently scanning the surroundings to study the establishment's décor, mentally jotting down notes for her own dream business's grand opening someday. She particularly admired the table's decorative floral centerpiece, which cleverly contained spaces to provide extra sugar and cream. In the heart of the crystal dispenser was a small stone, shining like a pure white pearl amongst pretty pink rose petals, complementing the pale pastel cloth underneath... Something about the orb struck her as odd though as she peered closer, tugging on her trainer's sleeve to draw her attention. Jess followed her directive as she pointed excitedly at what was in fact another hidden egg - and the source of the mysterious sweetness. The girl's eyes lit up as she extended forth to tentatively touch the surface, which to her surprise seemed slightly slimy. Lifting her finger to her lips, she gently licked the substance and was greeted with an overwhelmingly saccharine taste; its consistency not quite as thick and syrupy as honey, but rather fluffy as a cloud. As her buttered buds savored the spread, she smiled in delight as it simultaneously confirmed her suspicion of the species housed within the shell. No doubt about it, this little one would be a perfect fit for her team. "What do you think, guys? Should we keep this one?" She asked for approval first, and was concurrently met with a resounding chorus of positive response. Carefully extracting the egg from its spot, she situated it in a separate saucer to watch over more easily for now, as Pan, Patty, and Waffle gathered round to help it warm up - while Blueberry scolded her son for attempting to sneak samples himself. Seeing this, Jess swallowed her shyness and hurriedly endeavored to hail one of the servers (whom up to now she didn't wish to bother as they bustled about and attended to other patrons before her), so she could finally order some food and drinks. Although there wasn't much substantial on the menu, they did offer sandwiches and pastries to munch on at least, which would sate their cravings for the time being. She also requested a hot chocolate for herself and several different desserts to nibble on, satisfying both Blue the confectionary connoisseur and her kids (successfully deterring against consuming their discovery instead). Thus, when their plates arrived, they happily settled down to tuck in with a feast of snacks whilst waiting for the newborn to hatch...

Biggggg5- You'd managed to find your first egg and while on another occasion this egg might have been right for you, you decide to continue searching. Whether or not his is a good decision is yet to be seen, would you manage to find another egg and even if you did, would it be a good one? Life was a gamble, it wouldn't be as fun if it wasn't. Elsa is slowly coming to her senses, the myriad of smells becoming more familiar to her. As she manages to control her excitement, she picks up on a scent similar to that of the berries, yet somehow different? Filled with curiosity, she heads off in pursuit of the scents origin, almost disappearing into the canopy before you spot her.
You weave through the branches, struggling to keep up with the Swinub who has a much easier time due to her small size. Eventually she wiggles her way into a small opening in the canopy, big enough for you to stand up straight again. Apples hang from the branches around you, they looked ripe and ready to eat. Strangely, a rather larger, oddly shaped apple sits in the middle of the clearing. It seems to be the source of the scent Elsa was following, as the Swinub now seems to be sniffing circles around the egg shaped apple.... Wait, egg shaped? That wasn't an apple, it was another egg! It certainly looked like an apple, most of it was the same bright red as the apples hanging from the trees, while its base was a golden brown and its top is a bright green. Perhaps this was the egg that you were searching for? |

Biggggg5- This was it! The one you were searching for, it seems your gamble has paid off! All thanks to Elsa as well, the Swinub looks pretty pleased with herself and so she should, finding the egg amongst all these berries was no easy task. As soon as you touch the egg, a loud screech cries out from within. Something was keen to get out! As you lift it off the ground, it begins to shake but you manage to hold onto it with a bit of a struggle. It continues to shake and cracks begin to spread across the egg's surface, preparing for the release of the Pokemon within. Your eager eyes are temporarily blinded when the egg releases a flash of bright light, the shell finally giving way.
Blinking repetitively, you finally regain your eyesight. Whatever hatched from the egg was no longer in your hands. Where did it go? You soon spot it, hopping madly to try and get away from Elsa! The apple shaped Pokemon looked like a mixture of the egg and the apples hanging around you, apart from the stubby green tail and big, bright green eyes. Elsa was either convinced it was an apple or was intrigued by the hatchlings smell because she seemed determined to catch it. The newly hatched Pokemon leaps at you, looking to get away from the curious Swinub! You obtained: - Lv.1 Male Applin - 1 TM Energy Ball - 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies - 1 Pair of Magical Elf Ears (Held Item)- This item allows the holder to use the move ‘Trick’ as long as the user holds this item. This item magically returns to the original holder at the end of the battle. Congratulations on finishing your Galar Release Event campaign! After replying to this post you may claim your reward. |

Leo watched with wonder as the egg hatched before his very eyes. It was a white blob, with milk white eyes. It just floated there, a little bubble from the top of its body randomly popping up before landing back into its body. It was certainly a weird Pokemon, and it smelled really sweet. Taking out his Pokedex, Leo was able to see it was called a "Milcery" and that it was a Fairy-typed Pokemon. Another addition to his team, and one that was most certainly going to help out with his baking. He remembered hearing that these Pokemon's evolved form were used to create pastries in the Galar region, and that this Pokemon was quite famous because of it. Taking a Poke Ball, Leo gently let the the Milcery in. As he reached closer, he could smell meringue. Yeah, that sounded right for that Pokemon. Sweetness of milk and cream whipped together. Meringue worked as the name. "Come on then Meringue, let's get to having a fun adventure together!" Leo stated, to which the Milcery let out a happy glee. Seems he had his hands full with another young Pokemon.

Median Dia - Gently kicking some of the dirt back into the hole to cover the large hole back up, you quickly scoop up the egg and rush towards your Kadabra. The urgency in your tone about needing to leave the area seemed to make it through to the large psychic creature. It nodded knowingly, ceasing it's meditation and leaving with you and Prolego. |

lilboocorsola: The waiter comes by again with your snacks and drinks, and as he puts the hot chocolate in front of you, suddenly the egg begins to shake in the saucer, causing it to rattle a bit on the table. Your Pokemon on warming duty distance themselves a bit from the egg, as suddenly the shell begins to crack. A large crack forms in the middle of the egg, and then the egg stops moving, something oozing out of it. You aren't sure if that's the inner part of the egg, but suddenly the goop collects itself and and flies over to your hot chocolate, taking a sip of it and bubbling happily. This sentient little dollop of cream is, in fact, a Pokemon. After her drink, she looks around and sees all the other Pokemon around her and immediately ducks behind the cup for some cover, being a little afraid after being newly hatched. She peeks over the edge briefly before ducking back down again. Some of the other patrons giggle a bit at how adorable the little Pokemon is acting, and its caused a bit of minor scene, although mostly due to the unexpected hatching of a Pokemon. The server comes back over to see what is happening, before chuckling a little bit.
"That Milcery egg was pretty well hidden. It's good luck to have a Milcery visit your shop, so I'm sure the rest of the staff will be abuzz about this for a while. I'll bring you another hot chocolate so this little one can also have a drink." The Milcery turns around and sees you, and shyly looks away. Looks like you'll need to coax her a bit to get her to join you, but it shouldn't be too hard! You obtained: - Lv. 1 Female Milcery - 1 TM Dazzling Gleam - 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies - 1 Pair of Magical Elf Ears (Held Item)- This item allows the holder to use the move ‘Trick’ as long as the user holds this item. This item magically returns to the original holder at the end of the battle. Raves: The wind was indeed picking up, and somewhat surprisingly, it seemed that a storm was coming to the island. They usually don't form on this side, but when they do, it can be pretty fierce. Fortunately, there are a number of natural caves that can serve as pretty good shelter from the rains and the wind, although you'll need to ride out the storm before you can go back out again. Caritas looks around and finds one of the aforementioned caves, and weighing up the options as the storm gets closer, points to the cave and tells the rest of the Pokemon to follow. Since none of them want to be caught out in the storm they quickly follow, and soon are huddled up in the cave as a crack of lightning illuminates the cave. The crack of lightning is more than enough for Morgul to find something shiny illuminated in the cave, and having been out for a while and more than a little hungry, runs over and takes a bite of it. Unfortunately, its not a gemstone, but an egg-shaped object made completely of metal, and the Sableye yelps in pain as it leaps back. Caritas looks over to see what's happening, but the cave is a little too dark now that the storm has rolled in. There's another flash of lightning, and Morghul looks at the object again, and sees that there is a large crack in it. He's confused, and there's a loud cracking noise followed by a footstep. Morgul skitters back as a roar bellows out in the cave, making Caritas alert and start to crackle with electricity, hoping to shed some light on whatever made that noise. Standing there is a giant, metal...thing. It's not entirely clear right now exactly what it is, but the Pokemon doesn't look very aggressive. It roars again, but it sounds a bit more somber this time as it looks around the cave. This poor...building? seems to be looking for its mother, and its having no luck. Maybe a bunch of vikings shouldn't be in charge of leavings eggs around. Caritas calms down a bit and walks over, causing the Pokemon to stagger back a bit before walking towards Caritas. It smiles as it tries to..hug? Something. Who knows, but it clearly see Caritas as its mother. Probably a better outcome than Morgul at any rate. You obtained: - Lv. 1 Male Duraludon - 1 TM Iron Tail - 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies - 1 Pair of Magical Elf Ears (Held Item)- This item allows the holder to use the move ‘Trick’ as long as the user holds this item. This item magically returns to the original holder at the end of the battle.

Her thirst and curiosity sated, she glanced around again and this time noticed she had an audience. Abruptly overcome with fright, she ducked behind the beaker and shyly poked her head out before vanishing again. Some of the nearby customers who had been observing the scene giggled at the adorable creature’s antics, and the server came by again to see what the commotion was all about. Upon discovering the unexpected visitor, he chuckled amiably. “That Milcery egg was pretty well hidden. It's good luck to have a Milcery visit your shop, so I'm sure the rest of the staff will be abuzz about this for a while. I'll bring you another hot chocolate so this little one can also have a drink.” Jess smiled sheepishly as she tried to apologize for the disturbance, but he merely waved it off and handed her said second glass “on the house” with a wink, much to her thanks as she blushed profusely. Meanwhile the Milcery once again peeked over the edge, attracted by the sweet scent wafting from the boiled brown beverage again, but still wary of all the eyes watching her movements. Considering ways to coax the critter out of hiding, Jess brightened as she reached into her bag for something she had been saving for a special occasion (and given the season seemed highly appropriate). “Hey there, you don’t have to be scared. It’s safe here, I promise. My name’s Jess, and these are my friends: Blueberry, Waffle, Patty and Pan. We were just about to have some yummy scrumptious goodies, would you care to join us?” With that, she extended out the Ginger Bread Man in her hands, letting the little dollop of cream carefully sniff the cookie, before taking a tentative bite out of its leg. Her expression lit up as she scarfed down several more crumbs, particularly savoring the similarly colored icing. Emboldened by the peace offering, she flew out into the open and over to the other mug, gulping another mouthful to wash down the chunks. This time she dipped in a tad too far though, and ended up dunking her whole self into the liquid. Jess gasped and hurried to try and rescue the tiny diver, worried the temperature would be too high for her to handle – but she merely surfaced and splashed happily, enjoying the heat like a warm sauna. Jess sighed with relief as the blob relaxed in her cozy cocoa bath, bobbing up and down to create ripples as she played with the marshmallows like pool floaties, practically resembling one herself. Beaming to see the Milcery more comfortable now, Jess began to feed her more bits of biscuit and extra marshmallows to nibble on whilst they all ate together, chatting and getting to know one another better. At the end of their meal, the waiter came with a basket full of gifts along with the check, which the girl again attempted to deny but in the end gratefully accepted. Splitting the treats amongst the young ones, the three greedily gobbled down the desserts (despite already being quite full and hopped up on sugar), before commencing in a rowdy game of tag across the table, chasing each other round and round the empty plates. The girl and their guardians looked at each other and shook their heads, laughing at the now hyperactive handful they’d somehow have to wrangle home… OoC - Picking up: Lv. 1 Milcery ♀ 1x TM DAZZLING GLEAM 3x Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies 1x Pair of Magical Elf Ears Calling her "Miruku", putting her in 1x Fairy Ball, and teaching TM DAZZLING GLEAM to her + feeding her 1x Springtide Chocolate Rare Candy to raise her to Lv. 2 and 1x Ginger Bread Man to teach her CAN'T CATCH ME, and 4x Marshmallows for fun. =P Also feeding 1x Springtide Chocolate Rare Candy to Lv. 28 Liltwick♀ to raise her to Lv. 29, and 1x Springtide Chocolate Rare Candy to Lv. 28 Liltwick♂ to raise him to Lv. 29. Thank you! <3

A swift clang and torrent of curses very quickly followed, and it could be seen why very quickly. With them being out on this godforsaken isle looking for nothing in particular for so damn long, the Sableye had got hungry and found a nice, big lump of what seemed like a large opal. However, to his imminent discovery, it was instead a sizable metallic object, which almost certainly was an egg. Nursing his aching jaws, the gremlin ignored the small giggle of the normal type and examined the object again as the alolan pokemon watched, eyes furrowed in a 'I told you so' stance. At this point the Ralts had landed on the ground having slid off Caritas following another lightning strike, and was staring at the thing, seemingly studying it. The Sableye's second cursory glance revealed a crack in it, before the natural lack of light made things hard to see for the group. Well, for most of them at least. Morgul's gemstone eyes could see perfectly well in this environment, and the grin on his face as a large cracking sound led to him making some considerable space. A bellowing roar echoed through the cave, causing the timid Ralts to jump and cling to the rock type's leg as Kris was floored completely, the poor bunny's ears overwhelmed by the racket. Taking the hint finally, the Golem crackled her railgun with electricity, forming a light source and illuminating the cave to reveal...some small metallic shards here and there, and a large metallic creature standing there looking a little confused. It gives another roar, almost a bit sad, but briefly this confusion turns to a smile as the Megaton pokemon approaches it. With no major threat, the steel type gave a rather awkward hug to the Golem as the Sableye scratched his chin. He was still peckish, but the sight of the big grey thing was surprisingly distracting him from this hunger. Kris meanwhile was busy wringing her ears, the poor rabbit aching from the bellow, while Asclepius stared up at the newcomer, and its unusual appearance. It seemed to look a little like a tower, with a funny looking bit at the top, with arms that appeared like grinders, but at the same time he was recently hatched and would need some guidance. The group sat in the cave for a good hour or so while the storm raged outside, oblivious to the source of said sudden storm, and the appearance of the Snorlax King at the opposite side of the isle. In that hour, they learned a few things about their new arrival: he was what people called a Duraludon, he was a metal dragon pokemon, and despite appearances he was surprisingly light and nimble on his feet, and after a brief debate the four of them agreed on the name Tonbo, and as the storm subsided the group left into the humid air, and made to venture off the island via some means. The next question was whether Asclepius was focused enough to teleport all five of them back to their temporary base, and after a bit of faffing around returning the two miscreants to their balls, the squad had made their way back safe and sound. Whether Alex would approve of their trip or not mattered nowt. --- Collecting the above absolute unit, declaring his ability as Stalwart, popping him into this Space Ball and using that Iron Tail TM on him. Thanks for the trip again, ladies. |

It would be a fair bit later, it turnse out- the danger that Prolego had felt approaching the egg had come up not long after they started the trek back to the beach, in the form with a egg-sucking gale and an ominous storm of scarlet clouds. The young yamask was easy to keep safe now that she was in Chroma's care, and the mystic's interest peaked- whatever this new phenomenon was, she was going to take a look at it (from a safe distance) with a new friend to boot! ~ ~ ~ *Claiming my Lv. 1 female yamask, naming her Mallachd Fighe, and placing her in a Pokeball (#4 of 10)* *Obtained TM Earthquake X1!* *Obtained Springtide Chocolate Rare Candy X3!* *Obtained Magical Elf Ears X1!* Last edited by Median Dia; 01-13-2020 at 07:27 PM. |
