Raid Boss Cradily ★★★★ Health Gauge: 43% Shields Up: 0 Status: Sandstorm (2) KOs: 1 Raider Healing Summary Sandaa, Goodra: Life Dew Zorchic, Gengar: 155 HPZorchic, Gengar: Drain Punch Zorchic, Gengar: 211 HP Raid Boss Attack Summary Attack 1: Shockwave (0 BP) Attack 2: Earthquake (100 BP) Zorchic, Gengar: 91 HP Raid Challengers Zorchic, Gengar: 66 HP Sandaa, Goodra: 145 HP Dragons, Durant: 200 HP Median Dia, Metagross: 349 HP [Dynamaxed, 1 turns remaining] Sensing a dangerous situation, Namielle focuses, drawing restorative dew to the surface of her slickened skin and spreading it among her partners. They each nod in thanks, before turning to the task at hand. Rushing towards the enemy, Durant lashes out with frenzied gnashing. Fontaine falls on tried measures, splintering iron spikes into the soft underbelly of Cradily with a Max Steelspike. Both attacks manage to eliminate the new barriers, and Gengar finally lands her Drain Punch. Unfortunately for her, Cradily responds by grounding her, and the ensuing Earthquake is hardly appreciated. Dynamax initiative: MedianDia, Metagross

Raid Boss Cradily ★★★★ Health Gauge: 25% Shields Up: 0 Status: SpAtk +1, Sandstorm (1) KOs: 2 Raider Healing Summary Sandaa, Goodra: Life Dew Zorchic, Gengar: 166 HPZorchic, Gengar: Drain Punch Zorchic, Gengar: 222 HP Raid Boss Attack Summary Attack 1: Meteor Beam (120 BP) Sandaa, Goodra: 65 HP Attack 2: Max Rockfall (120 BP) Zorchic, Gengar: 24 HP Raid Challengers Zorchic, Gengar: 0 HP Must sit out one round until fully recovered Sandaa, Goodra: 40 HP Dragons, Durant: 275 HP Median Dia, Metagross: 333 HP Continuing her medic duties, Namielle soothes her allies with yet another Life Dew, a confident grin on the face of the Goodra. Clacking her mandibles, Durant skitters towards Cradily - but this is where the wheels begin to fall off. Her ferocious blow misses it's mark, slamming into the dirt below. Grumbling, Fontaine tries to pick up the slack, firing off one final Max Steelspike, with Gengar hedging her bets and healing up with another Drain Punch. It is just barely not enough. Cradily summons cosmic powers to target the unfortunate Namielle with a Meteor Beam, and this time the crushing Max Rockfall which entombs Gengar is just enough to leave her vulnerable to the gritty Sandstorm whipping around the clearing. Dynamax initiative: Expired

Guess we can no longer just hang back and blast away. Ah, well, it's not like we're afraid of getting out claws dirty with another Meteor Mash (90 BP)!

Raid Boss Cradily ★★★★ Health Gauge: 6% Shields Up: 0 Status: SpAtk +2 KOs: 2 Raider Healing Summary Zorchic, Gengar: Cheer Sandaa, Goodra: 265 HPSandaa, Goodra: Life Dew Sandaa, Goodra: 365 HP Raid Boss Attack Summary Attack 1: Meteor Beam (120 BP) Dragons, Durant: 102 HP Attack 2: Max Rockfall (120 BP) Sandaa, Goodra: 149 HP Raid Challengers Zorchic, Gengar: 400 HP [Fully recovered] Sandaa, Goodra: 124 HP Dragons, Durant: 102 HP Median Dia, Metagross: 400 HP Despite being pushed close to the brink, Namielle has the last laugh. The cheering echoing around the clearing seems to soothe her, and the following Life Dew tops off the recovery. Durant continues to frantically slash at the engorged barnacle, causing Cradily to whine in agony, with fear finally beginning to settle into the unsettling globular eyes set within her head. Fontaine adds insult to injury, a hammering Meteor Mash leaving Cradily barely hanging on. A beast is most dangerous when cornered however, and the resulting retaliation leaves both Namielle and Durant thankful for their earlier healing... Dynamax initiative: Expired

"Durant, this is our time." Cy flung out his arm, calling to his Pokemon. "Unleash your full power and deal a finishing blow! Fury Cutter(40BP[x4])!"
Durant lit up with crackling energy, her jaws glowing and sizzling with unbridled power. The ground around her cracked as she flung herself forward and upward with all her speed and might, aiming directly at the overgrown Cradily's head for a decisive battle-ending strike! |

Raid Boss Cradily ★★★★ Health Gauge: 0% Shields Up: 0 Status: N/A KOs: 2 Visibly struggling to hold onto consciousness, crimson sparks beginning to travel over the surface of her skin, Cradily seems resigned to her fate as Fontaine thunders forth. Leading claw clad in flickering metallic energy, the Metagross roars proudly as he hammers a blow into his target, and with a resounding boom Cradily explodes with energy. Thrashing wildly, the Grass type shrinks back to her original size, before sheepishly shuffling into the surrounding forest, desperate to escape repercussions for her destructive rampage. With victory obtained, the gathered Raiders are awarded the following:

The venerable trees that made up most of the Slumbering Wilds had been put into sharp contrast by one of this month's battlers. They had borne witness to several unusual creatures being bathed in that scarlet power that welled up from the woodlands center. All of those giants had some semblance of being natural, but this time it couldn't be further from the case. What could stand out more in a vast jungle than a single monolith of sleek, black metal? The cradily that had hoped to use the welling energy's might to establish dominance was just as unprepared to be face-to-face with Fontaine's even gaze after the metagross took in a more controlled dose of Galar Particles. The Iron Leg Pokemon was far more intimidating at this scale, but there was real strength behind that appearance as well. And of course, the other three Raiders continued their smaller-yet-still-fierce assaults even as the gargantuan supercomputer shred through her defenses with a surge of mental power and tore into her with spikes of raw metallic energy. And so, the modern once again triumphed over the ancient. Amicae knew better than to claim this victory rode on the back of her champion this time, however. Fontaine was certainly the most impressive looking of the group, both in terms of appearance and immediate power, they absolutely should've fallen at some point during the battle with how many Super Effective Ground attacks they took. The simple truth of the matter was that if it hadn't been for the weird pink creature constantly doing its best to heal everyone, this Raid had a very chance of failing! "...Then again, I guess healer support has always gone a long way." Ami mused as she looked over the metagross for any significant injuries. "it's just been particularly noteworthy this time, huh?" "Me, ta." This utterance wasn't a reply to the Trainer's question, but an alert to draw her attention to something half-buried in one of the gouges the Max Steelspikes had carved into the landscape. "Oh, that's interesting! There's no way that's just an ordinary marble, right?" ~ ~ ~ (OOC: A'ight, it's pickup time! Let's see here... *Obtained 40 Watts!* *Obtained Charti Berry x2!* *Obtained Rindo Berry x1!* *Obtained TR Grass Knot x1!* *Fontaine was elevated from Lv. 55 to Lv. 61!* *Fontaine learned Hyper Beam!* I'll use the TR on my nuzleaf while I'm here... *Glimmerwood learned TR Grass Knot!*) |
