They'd been compiling data since the first of the Power Spots activated. The readings began to correlate more as new Power Spots activated and the appearance of Gigantamax Pokemon only served to strengthen the pattern appearing in the data. It was a massive collaborative effort between Gym Leaders, renowned scientists and field agents, but finally they were able to find what they had been searching for. The source...

All of the Dynamax Energy in Fizzytopia appeared to be coming from one spot, which just so happened to be the geological center of the region. A scouting team was sent to the location and after a month of tearing through thick jungle, they managed to uncover what would soon be dubbed, "The Wishing Well." A giant stone well, in the middle of an ancient jungle. No signs of civilization for leagues yet clearly it had been crafted at some point in the distant past. A base camp was established and scientists flown in to continue the investigation. Initial reports revealed the well was dormant. A theory was established that the well required the use of Wishing Pieces, so the call was put out across Fizzytopia. Anyone who possessed a Wishing Piece was urged to visit the Wishing Well and hopefully help to further the research into Dynamax Energy!

Wishing Well Rules:

Trainers may use a Wishing Piece in this thread, declaring a Gigantamax Pokemon raid battle to take place the subsequent month.
Summoned Gigantamax raids will take place in this location, with the Gym Leaders privately determining who will host the raid.
Any type of non-legendary Gigantamax Pokemon can be summoned, regardless of the available types of active Gyms.
Upon victory over the summoned Gigantamax Pokemon, the user of the Wishing Piece receives a Gigantaband and one of their Pokemon that matches the evolutionary line of the summoned Raid Boss gains the Gigantamax factor.
The trainer who uses the Wishing Piece is guaranteed a position in the raid. They do not have to use the Pokemon that will gain the Gigantamax factor.

Gigantaband: A hold item molded from the remains of a Wishing Piece that channels Gigantamax energy. Has an effect on Pokemon that possess the potential to Gigantamax. This item is untradeable.

Outside Raids: Allows the holder to change form to resemble their Gigantamax form, if they possess Gigantamax Potential. The Pokemon’s size or mass does not increase and the changes are purely cosmetic, but the holder may use their corresponding G-Max Move once per battle.
During Raids: Gives the holder priority for Dynamax Initiative at the start of battle.

With the first piece presented to the well, the giant stone structure started to glow. This was the first reaction anyone had seen, and the group of researches watched from afar as the young trainer who presented it clutched their chest. The wish was made, and the well was responding to it. With a flash of light, a Pokemon came out from the well. It was an Eevee, looking up at the trainer that had summoned it. With curiosity, the research team began to rapidly take down notes. It seemed that the Eevee was harmless for now.

That was until the Dynamax energy readings began to go off of the charts. THe entire area turned a deep crimson as an unprecedented amount of Dynamax Energy poured into the Eevee. Compared to the Power Spots found elsewhere in the region, these levels were dangerous. The Eevee jumped away from the Wishing Well and began to grow, and grow, and grow even further. It grew until it reached gigantic proportions, to the point where its own body changed from the amount of energy it had absorbed.

The research team was in a panic, but the young trainer just stood in awe that their wish was granted. Even so, if this Eevee left the are, the region would suffer untold damage. One of the researchers ran into one of the tents and found a communication device. This device was hooked up to all of the gym leaders and emergency responders within FIzzytopia.

"We just had our first successful encounter with the Wishing Well! Our machines can't handle how much Dynamax Energy is being outputted, this is a full-on emergency. [It's a Gigantamax Eevee, and we need an additional Seven trainers to quell the beast]!"

Raid will go up 48 hours after the last sign-up or on October 8th, 2020. You can sign up starting at 10 PM GMT tonight.

A terrifying swell of energy burst from the Wishing Well as a trainer dropped a Wishing Piece into its depths. A swirling storm was summoned, and a powerful wingbeat kicked up hurricane force winds. A gargantuan armored bird descended from the clouds above, its metallic feathers glowing a crimson red and its sharp steel talons bared, ready to strike. Several feathers orbited the creature’s body like attack drones, and the giant bird unleashed a booming caw that echoed throughout the land.

Gym Leader Gary was far away from his usual post, inspecting the mysterious well, and his visit couldn’t have come at a better time. Pulling out his phone, he immediately send out a report. [GIGANTAMAX BOSS IMMINENT], he typed into the header. [Species identified as a Corviknight, Category 5. Requesting a team of seven additional trainers for subjugation.] He quickly pressed send and waited for help to arrive.

After all, nothing but the best for a member of the family! Nevermind that this particular Vulpix was being mean to the others, bossing them around, starting to grow lazy, and kept breaking into where the Pokemon treats were stored... yes, only the best and totally not getting rid of a problem child. The part about this Pokemon being the best of the bunch is no lie however, Annahime does have a lot of potential in her... it's just going to take a lot of work (particularly working off all those treats she gobbled up) to bring it out. Interestingly enough Annahime is the result of a long line of purebred breeding within the Vulpix/Ninetails line going back at least 5 generations. For some childish reason, initially she thought she was better than other Pokemon due to her purebred heritage- though adventuring and travelling with Curtis had gotten most of that out of her. She still has a dislike for strange looking Pokemon though.
