Well, usually with stone evos they don't get ANYTHING after you evolve them, so I'd recommend not until a good bit later. I'm going to hold off on evolving my Doublade after I find a Dusk Stone.

You guys are far! I'm back with Toy and Alli. Here's my team so far:

Harlo (Skiddo) F Level 14:
-Razor Leaf
-Leech Seed
-Tackle
-Growth

Anyone know when I can ride Skiddo? I want to so badly.

Helia (Helioptile) F Level 17:
Dunno moves yet since I caught her and turned off.

Iggy (Braixen) M Level 19:
-Psybeam
-Flame Charge
-Ember
-Howl

So far this game has been AWESOME. Braixen's attack animations are amazing, and Skiddo is just so adorable. I'm following Ex's rule of Gen 6 only. I'm on the Ryhorn right now, heading to pick up Amaura. On my list of gets are Noibat, though that's later, Dedenne just because its a fairy and cute, Clauncher, Bergmite, and a few others, though it's likely that Bergmite and others won't see much use since I'm not on to rotate.

Also just been to Veekun. They've said that while in past they've just ripped data from the game files, apparently 3DS cards are encrypted so they can't do that. Sadface.

You guys were not kidding that it takes forever to get to the second gym. Team after beating Grant:

Nami the Male Frogadier (Lv. 28, Gentle, Torrent)
Lick/Round/Water Pulse/Quick Attack

Unnamed Male Combusken (Lv. 29, Rash, Speed Boost)
Double Kick/Peck/Bulk Up/Ember

Marre the Male Ivysaur (Lv. 28, Bashful, Overgrow)
Take Down/Sleep Powder/Leech Seed/Razor Leaf

Kodachi the Female Honedge (Lv. 24, Gentle, No Guard)
Return/Swords Dance/Shadow Sneak/Aerial Ace

I also have a Careful Flabebe (Lv. 17) and a Modest Helioptile (Lv. 18) in the party that I'm considering for the main team. My Pickup/HM-using Diggersby (Lv. 21) is on a break.

Worth noting: If you're low on money, you can find Revives and Max Revives via Rock Smash.

Alright, I've made it to Ramos. Time to see what my newest Pokémon can do!

First round is Jumpluff vs. Skrelp.

Well, that was a little disheartening. Skrelp got 2HKO'd by Acrobatics, while Poison Tail did disappointing damage. Alright, time for Pyroar.

Flamethrower KOs Jumpluff no problem, and now he's bringing in a Gogoat.

Whoa. Bulldoze, didn't see that coming. Healed up Skrelp, but it was a double KO due to Gogoat's Take Down. Sending in Skrelp against Weepinbell.

Alright, new plan- Skrelp will spam Double Team, followed by Acid.

It was working, but Weepinbell KO'd Skrelp in the end. No matter- Meowstic can finish this.

And finish this she did! One hit from Extrasensory and Weepinbell went down! Plant Badge get!

As I just discovered from a wild Tentacool, they did NOT bring back the Generation I sound effect for Bubble Beam. That's really a shame, I loved that one.

Roost, however, has regained its TM status, and is now TM19, replacing... *checks* ...Telekinesis, which I don't think anyone actually used anyways, so no big loss there.

Yeah I couldn't name my Scatterbug Viola (I thought it would be a cute name for a Vivilion) which I thought was weird. Then I found out that's the name of the first gym leader.

I imagine that someone will crack it at some point but Bulbepedia may end up being our best bet as it gets updated as and when. That'll be... wonderful.

...Probably closer to two hours, but. Also, serebii will be more accurate than bulbapedia, surely?

I'm not sure if waiting until Victory Road until I start maxing out my Ami has improved my experience or detracted from it.

Probably the former, as if my Granbull's Lv.82 already, imagine if it had been getting boosted EXP.

Combusken almost got KO'd against Grant because it was Level 31 and the first badge effect only goes up to Level 30. Didn't want to listen to me. Thanks Exp. Share and hilariously long gap between gyms one and two!
