MacGyver or 24?
If you were to choose between watching one of these two shows from start to finish, which would it be and why? (a.k.a. please don't just vote, but also reply with a post!)

Re: MacGyver or 24?
MacGyver is a "do-it-all" action hero. He's got roguish good looks, he kicks ass but doesn't like violence (like "no guns"), and he can get out of any sticky situation using his uncomparable resourcefulness. That resourcefulness is what really made him a lasting character in American pop culture, since it was "beyond belief."

Re: MacGyver or 24?
MacGyver, hands down. I've seen (and love) both shows, but MacGyver has that added something that draws me more toward it.
Damn, if my VCR wasn't broken I'd pull out some old MacGyver tapes of mine and watch them. I recorded several episodes and a couple of the movies years ago that I dust off and watch every now and then. Magnum PI is another good show I wouldn't mind seeing again. I was young when I saw it on TV so I don't remember a lot about it, just that I loved it. And Knight Rider. And AIRWOLF! God, I loved that chopper! (I wanted it :p) And the Greatest American Hero and etc, etc, etc... There used to be some damned good series around back in those days. Shame I don't remember a lot about any of them :/

MacGyver, as he can make a helicopter out of a paper ball, two staples, and an elastic band. :O

MacGyver because he travels to other worlds with just a metal ring and frees the people of those worlds of the tyranny of evil aliens.

Re: MacGyver or 24?
When you compare MacGyver to Jack O'Neil, Richard Dean Anderson's age really does show.

Re: MacGyver or 24?
MacGyver had a mullet. That alone shows his age.

Re: MacGyver or 24?
There was a really freaky girl in my 10th grade chemistry class (she was a senior if that's any indication ...) who had an unhealthy obsession with mullets. She would try to bring them up as often as possible in class, and she tried to encourage one guy (a kind, quiet punk-rocker) to grow a mullet. I can only imagine how many Richard Dean Anderson posters she had, and I am also very confident that her favorite super hero (if you polled her) would be Captain Planet.
Sometimes I wonder if this girl, who graduated in June 2001, had anything to do with UPN's later short-lived sitcom "The Mullets."
