How rare do you think Mega Stones are or should be? (Let's try to keep the discussion to in-universe answers, please.)
I'd say Mega Stones would be fairly hard to come across. Rare and hard to find, but not impossible, especially once the concept of Mega Evolution becomes more common knowledge in Fizzytopia. Spoiler: show |

Charizardite X one day, if the stars align, and finally Metagrossite are the ones yo follow. Not to say I'm not interested in others, but as far as actively seeking them, these are it. Key Stone will be going in a black glove.

I'm not sure what ornament/decoration/clothing article I want the key stone to be yet, but I like the idea of it being made of amber since that suits Cyrus's affinity for plant life. Though maybe that's a little too dark now that I overthink it? haha What with sap being "tree blood" and whatnot, does that not make amber "petrified tree blood"? Having one's key stone be made of blood seems more up Marion Ette's avenue than mine. So I dunno. I think I'm just overthinking it , and should go with amber because amber is totally innocuous IRL and has the clearest connection with plants of any of the gemstones we usually think about.

Didn't know you planned on evolving Celes, Talon! If that's the case, hopefully you'll do it all the way to Meganium (from an entirely personal, and therefore irrelevant, point of view :P) - the anime's made me hate Bayleef enough (that decision might've been the driving force that made me stop watching, come to think of it!).
More on-topic, Mega Gallade might be one of the best-designed Megas in my view; shame Levin's Gallade is the farthest thing from an enthusiastic fighter. Can't see his ever embracing Mega Evolution, but maybe some future character development will lead in that direction.

First: I haven't committed to the idea. It's something I've considered since registration, but:
At the end of the day, it's that tug of war between:
Lucky for me, while I like Chikorita best of the line, I don't dislike Meganium. (Bayleef's definitely the weakest stage of the group, I agree.) I'm less fortunate with my Torchic. Torchic for me is like Chikorita all over again only this time I don't get to like the final stage either. So I reaaaally would rather keep Torchic as a Torchic. But *sigh*, see same arguments about human babies above.

Nothing wrong with not wanting to evolve some of your Pokémon. I myself have several Pokémon unwilling to evolve for various reasons.
So, more on-topic, I'll just post these sprites here that I whipped up for when we can buy Mega Stones and Key Stones and get them made into accessories. Already posted them in the main TO thread, but this is the appropriate thread, so yeah. |

The irony when mega stones have been around in pokemon lore for (maybe) 3000 years and their price is 3000 dollars. Then again, in cons that's about the same as the old evolution items like Reaper Cloths and whatnot.
Given I'll be requiring 3 for my team so far (and more given Alex will be specialising in megas) I'm gonna be pretty pained in terms of funding. |

That sound you hear is the sound of Venomoth flying out my wallet at that revelation, what with mega stone prices. I'm honestly that broke if I get a mega stone.

As you may or may not have already seen, I've posted to purchase a Gengarite. I was considering Cameruptite and Banettite as well, but in the end, I decided I wanted to prioritize Mega Stones for my Poison-types, meaning after this one, Venusaurite is next.

Nice MM, can't wait to get to the point where I can get Megastones. Will most likely go for Gardevoirite, but it all is dependant on time.

So once the Bank gets its next update, I'll be able to afford my second Mega Stone for the year. I did want it to be Venusaurite, but, well, Vinny's evolved since then, so now there's Cameruptite to consider... And then there's Slowbronite, too- I do want Dudley to be able to Mega Evolve, he's my only Shiny capable of Mega Evolution. At least until we get Mega Beautifly, anyway. But yeah- I gotta think about this, I'm pretty torn on which Mega Stone to go for next.

Do you like Mega Evolution? Yes
Do you want a Mega Stone in FB? Yes If yes, which Mega Stone(s) would you most like to have? Slowbronite Under what circumstances would you use a Mega Stone in FB? In a tough battle versus a tough opponent who isn't expecting it. How rare do you think Mega Stones are or should be? They should be rather rare, but in the games, they're not that rare, so maybe there's 2% to come across a Megastone per adventure post? What are your thoughts on FB custom Mega Stones? That'd be awesome!!!!!! Last edited by CrazyCreeperKid; 11-17-2019 at 11:13 AM. |

I'd really really like a Garchompite, but for some reason, buying it feels wrong. I want to earn it, and find it in-game.

Mega Stones haven't been purchasable in a good few years at this point, so there's no need to be worried about that. This thread was made during the previous era in FB's history, when Zone progress was so slow that buying them was really the only viable way to get ahold of Mega Stones at all, and is consequently behind the times by an absurd margin.
