Re: Time Out #Unknown (The Secret Time Out files)
Is it just me, or would the Joebii comic had been funnier if it was just the first two panels? >>;

Re: Time Out #Unknown (The Secret Time Out files)
That would still require at least some small portion of it to hold some kind of entertainment value.

Re: Time Out #Unknown (The Secret Time Out files)
Joebii should just realise he's not funny. If you're going to do a Pokemon comic and have it be funny, you need to take all aspects of the game and make fun of them, not just the surreal aspects. >>; Example: This is what you call funny. Takes quite a few different parts and makes fun of it. If you concentrate on one part, more often than not it's going to suck.
Therefore, Joebii phails. Especially when the comics seem to be some LooneyTunes-Pokemon cross-over. >>; Edit: Woops, wrong link. xd Fixed now.

Re: Time Out #Unknown (The Secret Time Out files)
That comic wasn't funny Joe.
I read it before, didn't like it. Pointing out obvious flaws has not been funny unless done well. Also, I think Joebii was just laughing and making a joke about the ridiculousness of nosepasses being in a literal swarm. |

Maybe I just always expected and thought that the grunts would first use violence before being forced into a pokemon battle by you. Plus, the galaxy grunts seem like real jerks, so I always imagined them using violence. Cool, thanks Tess. I'm just really passionate about the explorer kit, so you can see why I wanted to discuss this as soon as possible. |

Re: Time Out #Unknown (The Secret Time Out files)
I personally thought that that comic (back when I saw it when DP came out in America) was a HELL of a lot better than the really shitty PA comic where Gabe orders Chimchar back into his Pokeball. That was a really, really lame PA comic. Thankfully, their newest Pokemon comics have been quite the comedy act.

Did Joebii explain the point of the joke somewhere, cuz I'm still confused. The VG Cats one was OK, I like the Pokedex entry for Bidoof xD |

Re: Time Out #Unknown (The Secret Time Out files)
The point of the joke was that Serebii is fat. Now lets laugh at him.
I was considering submitting something else other than Pinaclsaur, since Nintendo ripped him off with Doritos, but in the end I decided that my second idea is a good thing, but not really a good Pokémon. I shall now give you it's flavour text, so you can guess what it was like. Although it's origins are about as subtle as the fact I quite fancy Hana. Should CENSORED be offended by anyone, it will focus its life on getting even. Many CENSORED end up harmed when they refuse to give up their desire for vengence. CENSORED has an anatomy unlike any other Pokémon. The organ that controls it's circulatory system is also used for offence, pumping jets of water at it's foes.

Re: Time Out #Unknown (The Secret Time Out files)
Maybe. But unfortunantly there is no attack "Blood Gun", so I went with Water instead.

Horned lizards ftw. There needs to be a pokemon that actually shoots blood out of its eyes.
And after being utterly confused by subsequent comments, I finally get it. lul.

Re: Time Out #Unknown (The Secret Time Out files)
Oh man ... oh man! *wipes tears from his eyes* ZJ, I just took a look at Pinaclsaur's image, and I started laughing so hard I've got tears in my eyes. I love how pitiful the look and sound of that "PITY ME!" is. :4 Sorry if I'm not supposed to find it funny, but I do! XD It's like ... like he's some freak from an experiment gone horribly wrong and he's saying, "PITY ME! " Oh man. I sure hope that was meant to be funny, because I'll feel like a callous ass if you were serious.
*still wiping tears from his eyes*

Pinaclsaur is serious business.
If I were an active FB member, I'd be voting Pinaclsaur xD. |
