UPN 2012 "Most Desired Type Combo" Poll - Phase 1!
In Part 1 of this poll, I would like to open the floor to general voting for the type combos we have yet to see on actual creatures. The rules are pretty simple:
1. You may vote for as many or as few of the types combos listed.Any combos you do not vote for, I shall count as a vote of 42. This minimizes the impact of any deliberate attempts to sabotage particular type combos. Phase 1 voting shall close in 4 days. When I wake up Sunday morning (local time, Eastern Standard Time), I'll tally the votes and move us on to Phase 2. The five type combos which receive the lowest scores (indicating they are the five most popular choices) will move on to Phase 2 where they will be put before the community for a second vote. For the purposes of this poll, Type1/Type2 = Type2/Type1, e.g. Dark/Electric = Electric/Dark. If we could all keep on the same page by ordering things alphabetically, that would be great. Thanks. In fact, just make it easy on me by copying and pasting the list below and reorganizing its contents as you vote. Much appreciated. *Note: Copying and pasting this list from elsewhere (please offer corrections if the list is incorrect): =Pokémon Type Combos We Haven't Seen Yet= Bug/Dark Bug/Dragon Bug/Ice Bug/Normal Bug/Psychic Dark/Electric Dark/Normal Dark/Psychic Dragon/Fighting Dragon/Grass Dragon/Poison Dragon/Rock Electric/Fighting Electric/Normal Electric/Poison Electric/Psychic Electric/Rock Fighting/Flying Fighting/Ghost Fighting/Ground Fighting/Ice Fire/Grass Fire/Ice Fire/Normal Fire/Poison Fire/Water Ghost/Grass Ghost/Normal Ghost/Psychic Ghost/Rock Ghost/Steel Ground/Normal Ice/Normal Ice/Poison Ice/Rock Ice/Steel Normal/Poison Normal/Rock Normal/Steel Poison/Psychic Poison/Rock Poison/Steel

Very cool.
1) Dragon/Grass (It just sounds pretty cool. Has some interesting resistances too) 2) Dark/Psychic (It just sounds fucking awesome, be honest here) 3) Fighting/Flying (GIVE ME MY GODDAMMNED GARUDA BIRD) 4) Electric/Psychic (I dunno. I've just always wanted to see what they would do with this.) 5) Fire/Water (See above) 6) Ghost/Grass (Where is my jack-o-lanturn) 7) Ghost/Normal (Sheet ghooooooost! Viable competitively, too, not that I particularly care about that) 8 ) Fire/Grass (See Electric/Psychic) 9) Fire/Ice (See above) 10) Ghost/Steel (Just sounds cool, and would be great comp-speaking.) 11) Dark/Electric (Dark-types are always awesome, okay?) 12) Bug/Dragon (See Electric/Psychic) 13) Dragon/Normal (You forgot this one) (See above) 14) Poison/Steel (See above) 15) Poison/Rock (ABESTOOOOOOS) 16) Bug/Dark (See Dark/Electric) 17) Dragon/Poison (Just how badass does this have the potential to be? Very, very badass)

Me thinks that Grass/Ghost justification is rather shaky.
(Whatcha talking about, Dark/Psychic isn't Yinyangy at all. It's just an interesting idea EDIT: Edited in reasoning. Most of them are either "I'm curious to see what they would do with it", "Dark-types are fucking awesome", or "IT SHOULD BE THIS LISTEN TO MEEEEEE".

I actually made a Grass/Ghost starter with I think 180(might have been 175)/ 100/ 60 defenses, and the typing holds up quite well. Getting Leech Seed is cool.

Grass/Ghost:
Immunities: Normal Fighting 4x Resist: None 2x Resist: Water Electric Grass Ground Neutral: Poison Psychic Bug Rock Dragon Steel 2x Weak: Fire Flying Ghost Dark Ice Immune to common Fighting attacks. Resistant to common Water, Electric, and Ground attacks. Neutral to common Dragon and Rock attacks. Weak to common Ice attacks. I defined "common" as: Oh boy, you sure see a lot of those kinds of attacks in battle. I'd count Grass and Fire as semi-common, but not nearly as much as the above.

>180/100/60
I want to call OP sooooooo hard right now it isn't even funny. And you get both Will-o-Wisp and Leech Seed, I suppose? ...We should make a fakemon region together. Everything would be so broken it just might work out. |

Type in Necturna as your Pokemon (CAP with Grass/Ghost typing), play with the base stats, EV's, IV's, natures and so forth and see how it stacks up against everything remotely viable in any tier. Have fun, kiddos!

Ah, that's the CAP which stole my idea of Sketch as an Egg Move, right?

1.Fire/Water (only type water hasn't been paired with plus it would be cool)
2.Electric/Poison (this could lead to an interesting design and pokemon over all) 3.Bug/Dragon (see number two) 4.Ghost/Steel (I like ghost and steel types and it would be nice to see) 5.Bug/Normal (why not it would be interesting) |

=Care Level 1=
01. Ghost/Grass 02. Electric/Psychic =Care Level 2= 03. Ghost/Steel - I worry this would turn out the same way our initial enthusiasm for Drought Ninetales turned out: way too good and thus would soon earn our resentment and lead us to wish we'd never wished for it in the first place. 04. Fighting/Ice 05. Ice/Steel 06. Fighting/Flying 07. Bug/Psychic - retype Butterfree! 08. Electric/Fighting - retype Eelektross! 09. Bug/Dark =Care Level 3= 10. Ghost/Psychic 11. Dark/Psychic 12. Dark/Electric 13. Dragon/Rock 14. Electric/Poison 15. Fighting/Ghost 16. Electric/Rock 17. Dragon/Grass 18. Bug/Ice 19. Bug/Dragon 20. Dragon/Fighting 21. Dragon/Poison =Care Level 4= 32. Fighting/Ground --. Fire/Grass - if it isn't the Burning Bush, then they've fucked this one up --. Fire/Ice --. Fire/Poison --. Fire/Water --. Ghost/Rock --. Ice/Poison --. Ice/Rock --. Poison/Psychic --. Poison/Rock --. Poison/Steel =Care Level 5= 41. Bug/Normal --. Dark/Normal --. Electric/Normal --. Fire/Normal --. Ground/Normal --. Ice/Normal --. Normal/Poison --. Normal/Rock --. Normal/Steel 42. Ghost/Normal

The way his sprite dances around has always reminded me very much of a boxer in the boxing ring dancing between both feet. He also has grown the arms to be a fighter, arms he lacked as a Tynamo and an Eelektrik, further suggesting (to me, anyway) that he should've been a Fighting type. Factor in that he learns pretty much all of the punches (Thunder, Fire, Ice, Drain), Superpower, Brick Break, and has stats which favor Atk over SpAtk, and what is there to say but it just plain works? Or at least it does in my opinion. Others may think it as stupid as Poison/Steel Weezing or Water/Psychic Golduck, so. *shrug*
