Gonna play it risky and open with Whirlpool (35 BP) to test the waters on its ability, so to speak.

The figure that so resembled Keith Masters smirked at the sight of the adversary before him, though as he looked around, he frowned at the apparent lack of news coverage. "Huh," he murmured. "Damn, you'd think something like a Gigantamax Lapras, that Diana Macks chick'd be all over it. It's like she's always specifically at whichever raids Keith's at. Heh, I'd almost think she had a thing for him if she wasn't clearly banging her cameraman," he smirked. "That and the fact that Willa ain't seen fit to kill her where she stands," he added.
"Scraft?" Bart chuckled. "Oh, hell, yeah," the man nodded. "I Transformed into her once or twice, and lemme tell you, just because she ain't killed for him before don't mean she wouldn't." He chuckled yet again, and once more, he hastily stopped himself when this action threatened to make him lose his form- for, as one could almost certainly guess by this point, this was not the real Keith Masters, but rather was his Ditto, Jack, posing as Keith to tackle this Lapras while Keith and his Pincurchin were battling a Slowpoke. "Scraaaaft," Bart remarked, sounding mildly impressed. Then, however, the Hoodlum Pokémon turned back to face the Gigantamax Lapras, cracking his knuckles threateningly. "Right- time to get this party started, Bart!" exclaimed the Transformed Ditto continuing to masquerade as his own Trainer. "And we start strong! High Jump Kick, let's go!" "Scraaafty!" Bart declared, adjusting his Black Glasses in an undeniably cool fashion. Then, he charged, running towards the Gigantamax Lapras at full speed, before making a great jump, lunging knee-first at the Water/Ice-type to inflict great, massive, super effective damage. A strong start, indeed. OOC: Bart used High Jump Kick (130 BP). Last edited by Missingno. Master; 02-08-2021 at 03:29 AM. Reason: Minor grammatical fix. |

Gigantamax Boss Lapras ★★★★★ Health Gauge: 88% Shields Up: 0 Status: [Whirlpool, Leech Seed, Mist (4 Turns Left), Aurora Veil (4 Turns Left)] Trainer Status: [Safeguard (4 Turns Left)] KO Count: 0 Raid Boss Attack Summary: Attack 1: Mist (0 BP) Attack 2: Sparkling Aria (90 BP) lilblue, Mareep: 265 HPAttack 3: G-Max Resonance (140 BP) Slash, Watchog: 190 HPRaid Challengers:
As Dusknoir sneakily Snatches away Cloyster’s Aqua Ring, the rest of the raiders try to trap the gigantic Lapras. The icy monster begins to let out a gentle hum as a layer of Mist coats the battlefield. The melody gets louder as a Sparkling Aria crashes into some of the Pokemon, and then the song erupts into a crescendo as a G-Max Resonance crushes the Watchog. The misty effects are amplified by an icy Aurora that shrouds Lapras inside a Veil. Dynamax Initiative: Connor, Pangoro

Jack had, at first, not known what the hell the Swampert was up to, using Whirlpool, but as the Transformed Ditto considered it, he found that it wasn't actually too bad of a move- a good way to at least narrow down the Lapras's Ability. Even if the move had failed, then that would've just meant they'd know exactly what Ability the thing had, and that wasn't even the case here- the Whirlpool was in effect, and they could definitively rule out Water Absorb as its Ability. Exactly how useful this information would be going forward remained to be seen, but Jack, for one, wasn't about to underestimate the potential value of the little things such as these.
Bart, on the other hand, wasn't too interested in such things. He looked pretty annoyed as the G-Max Resonance set up an Aurora Veil, and even more annoyed as the Swampert beat him to clearing it out. "Scraaafty," he grumbled to himself. "Eh, don't sweat it, Bart," said Jack. "Let the Swampert do the Brick Breaking, alright? You're the one bringing the real power here, don't forget. "...Scrafty scraft," conceded Bart with a shrug and a grin, knowing Jack made a very valid point.. "Hell, yeah," Jack grinned back. "I like how that last round went, so let's do that again! Give it the High Jump Kick, now, Bart!" "Scrrrrafty!" Bart responded, once more charging in for another powerful blow from quite possibly the most powerful Fighting-type move in existence. He honestly found it insulting that he hadn't knocked Lapras out in one hit with the previous one, but only slightly so, knowing just how frustratingly resilient these Dynamaxed (in this case Gigantamaxed) wild Pokémon could be. Well, it wouldn't hold up for long, he reasoned. OOC: Bart used High Jump Kick (130 BP). Last edited by Missingno. Master; 02-08-2021 at 03:42 AM. Reason: Minor grammatical fix. |

Gigantamax Boss Lapras ★★★★★ Health Gauge: 69% Shields Up: 8 Status: [Def +1, Whirlpool, Leech Seed, Sore Throat (1 Turn Left), Mist (3 Turns Left), Aurora Veil (3 Turns Left)] Trainer Status: [Safeguard (3 Turns Left)] KO Count: 1 Trainer Recovery Summary: Connor, Pangoro: Drain Punch Connor, Pangoro: 341 HPRaid Boss Attack Summary: Attack 1: Protect (0 BP) Attack 2: Skull Bash (130 BP) MM, Scrafty: 135 HPAttack 3: Blizzard (110 BP) Slash, Watchog: 25 HPRaid Challengers:
The raiders attempted to rid Lapras of its protective veil, but the Transport Pokemon anticipated this by Protecting itself and then summoned a layer of shields. It then bolstered its defenses further by tucking in its head before smashing into Scrafty. Lapras then blew forth a chilling Blizzard, too much for Scrafty to withstand. "Man, you and Fred were great!" Gavin grinned as Keith sat back down in his living room. "You made quick work of that Slowpoke!"
"You were awesome, Dad," smiled Maribel. "Indeed," nodded Willa, also smiling. "It was a treat to watch." "Heh, thanks, everybody," Keith grinned. "I still can't believe this was Fred's first time in a battle, he did great. Definitely gonna have to give George a try as well now, too," he stated. "Pyukumuku might be significantly tougher to utilize well in raids," Eddie remarked. "They're not called 'The Wobbuffet of the Sea' for nothing- no attacking moves whatsoever." "Still, support is a crucial role in these sort of things," Keith persisted. "I'm sure if the right opponent comes along, George'll do well-" "We interrupt this program to bring you a breaking news bulletin!" interrupted the TV. "A Gigantamaxed Lapras has appeared at the Typhon's Depths Pokémon Gym, and various Trainers have gathered to take it on! We bring you live to Diana Macks now." "Another raid?" Keith chuckled. "Wow. When it rains, it pours, huh? Alright, let's see who all is in on this one," he stated. "Hm," Willa frowned, eyeing the footage intently. "Keith, does that Scrafty not look a little... large?" she asked. "Huh," Keith murmured. "I guess so, yeah. Kinda like Bart. Even has the Black Glasses like Bart does. Heh... hey, wait a second- that is Bart!" Keith exclaimed! "How the- who the- oh, that explains it," he chuckled, as the camera panned over conveniently at that moment, giving Keith an excellent view of his own likeness commanding the Scrafty. "Alright, that's probably Jack. I better get down there-" "I shall accompany you," Willa stated. "I do appreciate that, dear," Keith smiled. "But we have company, and I'm being rude enough by leaving now as it is-" "Rude, nothing," smirked Gavin. "Y'know what? Why don't we all go? The Banette's Revenge can hold the lot of us, yeah?" "I'm all for that," Eddie volunteered. "It's one thing to spectate these via live television coverage, it's another thing to be right there." "I'm going, too," stated Maribel. "Of course, so am I," smiled Terri. Keith beamed at his friends and family. "Well, how can I say no to that?" he chuckled. "C'mon, everyone! To the Banette's Revenge!" ~~~~~ "Gah! Shit!" Jack exclaimed as Bart skidded to a stop, totally unconscious, at the Ditto's borrowed feet. "Of all the stinking... First a Protect to block the Brick Break, then it just beats Bart up like that without relying on type effectiveness... Sheesh!" he exclaimed. "Right, right, Bart, come back," he added, withdrawing his teammate. Right away, the ball was enveloped in Dynamax Energy as its occupant was getting healed. And then, as he'd seen his Trainer do so many times, Jack took aim with the Dynamax Band he'd borrowed from Keith, and took aim with it, firing a bundled beam of Dynamax Energy to heal up a hurting Watchog. OOC: Cheering to heal Lemon the Watchog. Last edited by Missingno. Master; 02-15-2021 at 06:30 PM. Reason: Minor grammatical fix. |
