How are the Pledge attacks going to labeled now? They were treated like Advanced Moves under the last administration, but aren't mentioned in the Move Tutor's OP.

That is fine with me, personally.

Yes.

As long as the abilities weren't confirmed in a zone, sure. They likely weren't anyways though.

AMs will be added in once we have a Happiness system in place.

Can Alolan forms of 'mon learn Moves from past gens? Level-Up, and/or MT/Egg Moves, TMs, etc.?

Also, since a lot of Moves were wiped from my Pokémon's Movepools when non-natural Moves were disallowed, can they be restored now? (I never kept any actual records of where the Moves were learned, but I still have a copy of my profile from before the change.)

As long as the Pokemon could theoretically learn it, the answer is yes.

Alola-Exeggutor can, for instance, theoretically learn any of Exeggcute's moves from Gens I-VI, but not any of Exeggutor's since you need to evolve Exeggcute. Alola-Vulpix, however, isn't Vulpix so it can't learn any of Vulpix's moves from previous Generations.

Pokemon who have pre-evos that could learn moves from Previous Gens:
Alola-Raichu
Alola-Exeggutor
Alola-Marowak

Pokemon who would be ineligible to learn moves from Previous Gens:
Alola-Rattata
Alola-Sandshrew
Alola-Vulpix
Alola-Diglett
Alola-Meowth
Alola-Geodude
Alola-Grimer

Ah okay. Thanks for clarifying.

What about non-natural Moves taught before the purge? Can I restore those now?

should I be concerned about people linking back to the department store if they buy something
or do I leave that up to the person who runs the bank?

Alright, so, here's how I'm planning things in terms of my Secret Base- play out the current storylines, including the final storyline, in the currently existing thread, then start up the new Secret Base I have planned in a new thread once those storylines are wrapped up, and ask a mod to close the old one at that point. Is that allowed, or would I have to edit the existing Secret Base into the current thread? I'm fine either way, just wanted to clarify it to be safe.

I say as long as it doesn't become a regular occurrence, but I'm not sure how the other mods feel on this topic.

Question- prior to the old calendar getting archived, I posted a placeholder post for Roserade Day while on a break with the intention of editing it as soon as I got back from work. However, last night, when I got home, I was dead tired and it slipped my mind completely. Should I just post for my Roserade's gfts in the new calendar as soon as I get home from work (for real this time), or did I miss my chance?

I would say you can repost, it's not too big of a deal.

I edited your post in the old Calendar - sorry if you missed it! Basically, I told Okiku you had posted in the old one on time and let her know to expect the post for Roserade in the new Calendar.

At the risk of stating the obvious, Marion, you're awesome.

Another question, this one regarding the two zone adventure cap- do carried-over Cortoza/Phantom Isle adventures count towards this? And does Incognito Isle? My instinct is that all three count, but I just wanted to make sure whether I was right or not.

If a Pokemon can learn a move via TM and that move is also a MT move but that Pokemon never had access to it (being from a later generation or being an Alolan Pokemon who don't have MT access yet), what price would it pay to learn it at the Move Tutor Shop? Would it be the standard $150 or the $350 for unfamiliar?

(I can't speak for others but) my stance on this is 'yes'. If a Pokémon is able to learn a move through some other method as well as through MT then they can learn it as a MT move. The only exception to this of course are Event moves, Advanced Moves or Shadow Purification moves; basically anything that was species-restricted or barred from being learnt at The Move Tutor in the first place.

Hey guys, this seems like a fun place! (:P)

I gotta put some time aside to get acquainted with all the changes, but one in particular I'm having trouble finding is the current stance on Happiness mechanics and Friendship evolutions. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers!

Happiness/Friendship has been a topic of much debate, which has yet to be resolved. There is some talk of incorporating it into IQ, while others would like to earn it through adventures, etc. We will hopefully have an answer for this question within the next couple of weeks - in the meantime, feel free to voice your own opinion in the Development Subforum on how you would like to see this mechanic work in FB!

Okay, I'll give the Dev subforum a read and some input (in a less intrusive manner than I used to, hopefully!) as soon as I have the time! Cheers

Hey I joined before the new management and just came back after everything was changed. I noticed that the Arcane Realm was gone, but there were new events that were around and wanted to see if I could join in on those or if I have to wait around till everything is figured out and normalized. Thank you for your time!

re: Char:

You're a bit too late for the Springtime event, but everything else is fair game. You're limited to two of the current static zones (New Fizz City, Cloud Garden, Le Marecage Noir and the Minnao Isles), and are free for any of the FFA zones (Incognito Isle and Bedlam Ridge). The AR is dead and buried.

re: kawaii:

Keeping your mons in the daycare until evolution won't result in them missing moves. If for example you have a mon who learns X move at level 20 evolved, but you wait until level 21, then your evolved mon will learn X move automatically.

Kind of a follow-up question to Kawaii's just for clarification. If I evolved a Pokemon via stone, such as my Murkrow --- would she theoretically be able to learn moves that she was able to learn as a Murkrow? or would it just be Honchkrow's moveset?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's how things are now, or at least will be.
