"Well, if that's the case...keep invisible and follow that FAME path and report back to me about any more blocks or otherwise noteworthy things, maybe determine the area of the block behind that weird door if you can, it may help later. I'll check FORTUNE. Meet back here in 20 minutes. And, since some obviously shady stuff is going down, if either of us doesn't get back in time, the other should not hesitate to come looking. Keep that in mind, it's important." Heather instructed. Magus nodded and faded away once more. Heather put away her phone and began to investigate the Fortune path. Dorcaskarp's daily training could wait.

Meetan-
You introduce yourself before question the Shuppet, asking it about what it can remember and if it has a name. The animatronic just stares at you, its lifeless eyes processing the information you sent it. With a small beep, your phone brings up a new message. "I'm sorry, I don't really know anything. I can't remember... Can't... It hurts to remember. Yet.. If you could save me, that would be grand." And with that the robot stopped looking at you, and returned to its job. No matter how much you try, it seems that this'll be all you'll be getting out of the Pokemon inside of the creepy machine. The power limiters on it must be a lot more severe than it described, if it could barely hold conversation more than a minute or so at a time. Why then, was the casino doing this to Pokemon. Why would they need such a device that would interfere with the abilities of Ghost-typed and Psychic-typed Pokemon. As you stare at your phone, you hear a small bark. Sammi circles around you, excited about something. Perhaps she caught something, or it could just be the more canine habits of her species kicking it. Her sniffer seems to be overdrive, and she's barking while pointing towards the FAME hallway. Did she find something down there? If so what was it? At this point there wasn't anything that could really help out the Shuppet until the night, but at least this could potentially give you more information. You then hear an announcement that a show was about to start in the FAME area. What do you do? Schala- After discussing with your Purrloin, you manage to finally place a coin in the old starter slots. With a spin of the machine, you watch with perturbed curiosity as the machine starts to spin, and spin, and spin. The first column stops, and then the second... Two 7s. Yet the last column malfunctions. A Squirtle hanging above the space in the middle. The Pupitar guard notices this, and waddles over to you. Giving you a smile, it headbutts the machine, causing the last column to spin some more, and more, and more... Until it lands on a 7. The machine flashes JACKPOT, and spits out nothing. Were all of these machines rigged? The Pupitar guard seems frustrated yet again that a machine isn't working, and tries to fix it. Yet, it comes back with nothing. Examining it further, you notice a word etched into the back of the slot machine, yet very hard to see. E TR ES Etres? The hell does that mean. It like the rest of what was written is too faded to read. Yet, another word is a lot more visible. M A M M O N. Mammon, the demon of greed. A personification of man's desire for infinity wealth and money. Would there be more information to be found about this Mammon in the FORTUNE hall? Is that why Nyx wanted to go? It was hard to discern without actually going towards the place yourself. Though, it did raise a question. Why were these rigged machines still out here? You then hear an announcement that a show was about to start in the FAME area. What do you do? Sandaa- After having some fun in the photo booth you and your Aipom set your plan into motion. Scurvy darts out of the small machine, to get into a more optimal location. Seeing him vanish from sight, you head towards the food court, and grab a tray. You start to pile it on with food, from steaks to cakes, from greens to grains. Soon, the food tray could barely handle the pile of dishes that you grabbed from the buffet, and you walk towards the counter. Yet, before you can, you purposefully slip sending the tray of food flying. You fall backwards, hurting your glutes in the process, and your small yelp alerts the guards of the stage towards your location. You are then assaulted by the slices of cake you grabbed, and get covered in their creamy goodness. The Miltank from the stage notices, and has the Pangoro assist her as they help pick you up. The Pangoro then yells, and a group of Cincinno and Trubbish appear. The Pokemon start to clean up the mess, and the Miltank apologizes when she feels that the ground under you was wet. Easy. Meanwhile, Scurvy took the guard leaving as his cue, and started to use his acrobatic tricks to get to the backstage. It was surprisingly... empty. The Aipom wanders the area, before seeing a slightly cracked open door. Seeing some items of interest and snatches them up with his thievery skills. Poking his head out, he sees the coast is clear and makes a beeline towards the photo booth. Seeing the purple flash, you tell the guards you're okay and will go clean yourself up, siting that you left your bag in the photo booth first. With all of that out of the way, you meet back up with Scurvy and look at the contents of what he got. The first of it was a ID card, yet who's it was it does not say. There weren't any card readers in this area, so this might prove more useful in the night. The second item is a piece of paper, yet what is on it is undecipherable. The third is a bottle of some liquid. Opening it up, you get hit by a pungent wave of burning alcohol. Booze, it was booze. Besides the ID card, there wasn't too much of interest there besides maybe the paper. That is, if you could find a way to read it. You then hear an announcement that a show was about to start in the FAME area. What do you do? Raves- Discussing what the two of you experienced, you and your Honchkrow decide to go to the Fortune hall. The smoking area was what interested you, and not for the reason to relieve some stress. If they had a designated area for smoking indoors, then that means there must be ventilation of some kind to allow the harmful air to escape. And if that was the case, then that means there must be an exit to the building within those vents, and if there was an exit, than means there was also an entrance. With that in mind, the two of you march into the Fortune hall. The sounds of slot machines and the hustle and bustle of crowds can call anyone to the draws of the casino. It seems that people still flocked here to gamble there lives away, and that would help you out in the long run. Patrons barely left this area, and for a good reason, besides fancy food they could get whatever they wanted here. The smell of cigarettes permeated the air, and while disgusting was also a common occurrence at many casinos. Yet, the guard Pokemon tried to usher smokers to the designated area. Looking towards the ceiling, you notice a few air vents at the top of the area, and you could hear what seemed to be a small humming sound the closer you got to it. There was a way, but getting into there with this many people would be risky. Yet, it was a risk that needed to be taken. It was an easy way in, if your thoughts were correct, and an easy way in would make the night so much easier. You then hear an announcement that a show was about to start in the FAME area. What do you do? Heather- You bid your Misdreavus farewell and head down the path of Fortune. The noises of slot machines and the smell of cigarettes immediately assault your senses. Another thing was that despite the rest of the casino, this place was crowded. People were everywhere, unlike how empty the rest of the building was. It seemed that this was the main attraction after all. With that in mind, you start to explore where you can. It's hard, though, to not look overtly suspicious trying to find odd trinkets or vents with all of these people around. There was nothing to find, nothing that couldn't be seen without the people being gone. And it seems that an opportunity soon presented itself. You then hear an announcement that a show was about to start in the FAME area. With that, the crowds started to slowly disperse from the FORTUNE area like an amorphous blob, with no mind of its own. Weird. Following the crowd, you soon get back to the intersection. Feeling a chill, your Misdreavus reappears and confirms also hearing the announcement. He also describes the layout of the Fame hall, with there being a food court, a central stage, a few restaurants, a karaoke bar, and an arcade for kids. Seemed to be a much more family friendly area than that of the Fortune. Yet, all the people going there could prove to be beneficial to exploring the Fortune Hall. Even so, what type of show was this. It felt a bit too convenient for you. What do you do?

"I will. I'll do my very best, I promise." Samantha came back to her, yapping, and the young woman beamed. "What is it, my little lady? Had fun?" She asked of the vicious healer. The doggy looked both delighted and determined, coming up onto two paws to point towards the walk to FAME. "Oh, yeah? Found something good?" She prompted, and the Snubbull continued her tirade. When the announcement sounded out, Alice wondered if it was a legitimate lead or not, but there wasn't too much to lose. With so many of them there to start shit, and the discovery of the trapped Shuppet, Alice figured she had already done enough of a job if this didn't get anywhere. "Come on, then. Let's go, let's go!" The idol exclaimed cheerily, and Samantha ran ahead with her heeled owner in tow, ready for whatever FAME had in store for them.

While all of this was going on, Scurvy seized the opportunity as the guards departed the stage and left it unattended. Playing the acrobatic thief, the small purple monkey did a few unnecessary flips to sneak backstage, as if he were hopping over invisible lasers or something. Finding a door backstage that was slightly ajar, Scurvy poked his head in before grabbing a few items and quickly made his retreat. As Gary met back up with his Aipom in the photo booth, he noticed the small handful of items Scurvy retrieved. “Great work, Scurvy!” Gary grinned, ruffling the Aipom’s hair. Scurvy grinned back and let out a triumphant, “Aye!” Gary quickly looked over the items Scurvy had taken. First up was an ID card, something Gary knew would be pretty valuable, so he quickly pocketed it. Next up was a piece of paper, but he couldn’t quite make out what was on it. Lastly was a bottle filled with some kind of liquid, and upon inspection, Gary crinkled his nose as fumes of alcohol went up his nostrils. At first, Gary was at a loss what to do with the second and third items. He wasn’t much of a drinker, so he had little use for the booze. Meanwhile, the piece of paper confused him. Maybe it was written in some kind of special ink? Chemistry and physics wasn’t exactly Gary’s strong suit, but he had heard before something about the chemical properties of alcohol being used to decode invisible ink. He was wary however, that he could be completely wrong in this matter and compromise the integrity of the material. With that in mind, Gary took a napkin and wet it with the alcohol before deciding to dab the napkin on a corner of the paper first to test his hypothesis. As all of this was going on, an announcement echoed throughout the area about a show coming soon to the FAME area. Luckily he wouldn’t have to travel far to check it out, so Gary looked to wrap up his mini science project first.

Throughout the casino various trainers were sleuthing and snooping around as they attempted to investigate the mysterious rumors about shady dealings behind the proverbial curtain. However, aside from run-down slot machines, eerie animatronic puppets, and the suspicious guards, things were relatively quiet on all fronts. Things were in fact too quiet, and a shadowy figure descended upon the building in order to get to the bottom of it.
Outside: 134, Balmund, Connor, Marion Ette, Naruxami, Rotom310 As the trainers explored the exterior of the casino, something or someone seemed to blow past them at a rapid pace, almost undetectable, as it proceeded up the side of the building and towards the roof. Amidst the confusion, a small Phantump popped its head of out some of the hedges and other landscaping to hand each of the trainers a small card one at a time. Upon further inspection, the card read, “Meet at the bottom of the downstairs stairwell in 10 minutes. It’s time to clean house.” Upstairs: CyberBlastoise, EpicSquirtle, Gemini Spark, Missingno. Master, morningstar, Whimsy Up on the highest level of the casino, a few trainers poked their heads around, trying to check things out. A small breeze blew throughout the area as if a window had been opened. In fact, one of the skylight windows was slightly ajar as a mysterious figure had slipped in and darted down the staircase. A lone Murkrow glided in afterward, silently dropping a feather onto each of the trainers before flying back out the window. Attached to each feather was a card that read, “Meet at the bottom of the downstairs stairwell in 10 minutes. It’s time to clean house.” Lobby Level: Heather, Jerichi, kawaiiconcept, lilbluecorsola, Meetan, mespiritchaser, Raves, Sandaa, Schala On the main floor, many of the trainers played with the old slot machines while others investigated the gift shop, the restrooms, and the food court. Eventually a message over the intercom had summoned all of the trainers to the food court, where a performance was about to be shown on the stage. As the trainers gathered within the crowd of visitors, a sneaky Scraggy slipped a card into the trainers’ pockets before tugging on their sleeves and departing to the next one. After pulling out the card, the trainers read, “Meet at the bottom of the downstairs stairwell in 10 minutes. It’s time to clean house.” Elevator: Brave Saix, OkikuMew, Patches, PikaGod A few of the trainers sat in the elevator, hoping that it would take them to new heights or depths to uncover a mystery of the casino, or maybe they were just along for the ride. However, a Rotom’s smiling face suddenly appeared on the control panel of the elevator and it began to move downward. It giggled a few times before the doors opened, letting the trainers out by the downstairs stairwell. The elevator’s control panel flashed a message that read, “It’s time to clean house.” Downstairs: deoxys, Kyuu-tales, Lil’twick, Maskerade, Median Dia, myahoo, TheKnightsFury As the trainers look around the downstairs level, an ominous feeling washed over them like a chilling breeze. After looking around, all of the security seemed to have been disabled while the guards appeared to have disappeared. Where they could have gone off to was anyone’s guess, but a quiet chirp got their attention as a Natu Teleported in right behind them. It telekinetically lifted a card up to each of the trainers that read, “Meet at the stairwell. It’s time to clean house.” As they looked back down, the Natu had already disappeared. ~~~~~~~ A few minutes later, several of the trainers had made their way down the staircase while a few stepped out of the elevator. They congregated and murmured quietly amongst themselves, wondering who or what had summoned them here. Suddenly the lights dimmed and a hooded figure Teleported in front of the crowd with a Natu on their shoulder. Pulling the green hood off of his head, the figure revealed himself to be a young man in his late 20’s with a thin mask across his eyes. “Glad you all could make it,” he spoke in a low voice as he addressed the group. “We don’t have a lot of time before they catch on, so I’ll be brief. “The one who leaked the info to the media about the shady business behind the casino was none other than myself. You don’t need to know my name but you can refer to me as the Jack of Hearts. Just know that like you I want to put a stop to this casino and return the goods and Pokemon they smuggled back to the community. Follow me.” The Jack of Hearts quickly turned and walked down the corridor at a brisk pace. He arrived at a door and allowed for the trainers to catch up. “Rotom, if you will.” The Rotom that had previously commandeered the elevator phased through the wall and came face to face with the electronic panel that locked the door. Rotom integrated with the machinery and after a moment, the door was open. “Quick, grab what you can, but make sure there’s enough for everyone.” What lay before them was in fact the casino’s treasure vault. The room was filled with shelves covered with various valuable items and the walls were stacked with unhatched eggs. “They’ve caught wind of our plans and already begun to move some of their goods out of here, but let’s clean them out and take the rest.” The Natu on the Jack of Hearts’ shoulder’s eyes suddenly glowed blue as if it was getting a vision of the future. It let out a low chirp. “We have to move quickly. The guards will be down here any minute. I’ll set off a diversion while you all escape, so hurry!” He quickly nodded to his Natu, who Teleported away. A faint explosion was heard moments later as his Scraggy had presumably set off a number of explosives in the bathrooms upstairs. Once the trainers had loaded up on goods, it was time to leave. The trainers hurried back down the hallway as a pair of Granbull with guards’ hats stepped out of the elevator. They growled menacingly. “Go up the stairs and get out of here quickly! We’ll hold them off!” The Jack of Hearts pulled out a Pokeball and tossed it, revealing a Decidueye. “Freeze them, Robin Hoot!” The owl nodded and held up his wing like a bow and arrow, firing off a pair of feathers at the Granbull. The feathers missed the Granbulls and landed harmlessly on the ground behind them. The two Granbulls laughed and began to step forward only to find their paws frozen in place. Robin Hoot’s Spirit Shackle had done its job, pinning their shadows in place. ~~~~~~~ As the trainers quickly ascended the stairs and exited the building with the crowd of tourists who were visiting the casino. The fire alarm had been triggered, causing a mandatory evacuation to call for everyone to leave the building, staff included. The pair of Granbulls were last to leave the building, scratching their heads in confusion with a defeated expression on their faces. It was tough to spot with the untrained eye, but a shadowy figure emerged on the roof of the building and glided away with the wings of an owl carrying him. At this point, the Fizzytopian fire department and police department had arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area. One of the police members announced that there was a bomb threat and the police force began questioning people, starting with the casino’s staff. Suddenly, without warning, a loud explosion erupted from inside the building and the roof caved in. Like a volcano, a cloud of dollar bills spewed out of the casino and into the air. A frenzy erupted throughout the crowd as people scrambled to collect the money as it floated back down to earth. “Hey, this money’s counterfeit!” one of the officers exclaimed while another slapped the giant pile of money out of his hands. “You heard the man, book ‘em!” The second officer exclaimed as they turned to arrest the casino’s staff. As confusion and chaos swirled in the air while the foundation of the building slowly began to crumble, it would be in the trainers’ who knew the secret behind the casino’s demise best interest to flee the premises before it was their turn to be questioned. As the firefighters began to put out the fires and smoke billowed into the sky, a dark chapter in the history of Fizzytopia’s history had finally been closed… for now. It is unfortunate we couldn’t deliver on more of an event, but as promised it is time to cash in on the closure of the Cinccino Royale. For those of you who participated in the event, please feel free to claim the following items. This thread will remain open until January 1st, 2018. Participants of the Cinccino Royale may collect the following: • 1 Heart Scale |

"Oh, Isaac-senpai... did you feel that too..? Maybe that's the love finally overtaking the both of us?" She fanned herself off, she had always been a fan of Mediocre Casanova, Isaac's band. Isaac merely rolled his eyes, in a way, he had always wished he had been a little more public with his sexuality --- and in turn, his relationship with Kyle. Vinny's fur bristled up upon hearing another girl attempting to flirt with her master, she let out a low growl and butt her head into Danielle's leg. She laughed, leaning over to pet Vinny, only to be bit in response. "Owwie! Sowwy Vinny..." She exclaimed, rubbing her hand. "Uh. Naru, was it? Vinny get a little territorial around women..." He chuckled to himself, rubbing the back of his neck shyly. The gesture made Danielle flush with embarrassment, she couldn't believe that she was meeting Isaac in the flesh. Ezra, Naru's Misdreavus, floated towards Vinny, a smile upon his face. "Is your master... involved? I apologize... Naru's bad at reading people." Ezra started, causing Vinny to chuckle. "Not exactly. It's complicated. His heart is somewhere else, and luckily with a different gender than your master." Vinny scoffed, muttering to herself. Women really needed to step off of Isaac, or she'd make them. Ezra laughed, floating back over to Danielle's side. The two trainers watched as a small Pokemon suddenly emerged from the bushes, Naru had almost forgotten about the figure. She was too busy shamelessly flirting, as per usual. The small ghostly Pokemon passed herself, as well as Isaac and the other trainers that gathered around them a small card. The card had beautiful cursive handwriting upon it, reading that all the trainers must meet at the bottom of the stairwell in ten minutes. Naru glanced towards Isaac, who's eyes lit up with wonder. Vinny glanced up at her trainer, watching as something seemed to draw him towards the stairwell. ---- Once the two trainers arrived, along with the rest of the initial infiltrators, they were greeted by a man. The man looked around Naru's age, just a tiny amount younger than Isaac --- and had a Natu on his shoulder. He introduced himself as the Jack of Hearts, speaking about his purpose for being here... which was very similar to the reason that Naru and Isaac were there. With a swift movement, he instructed the group to follow him. As Naru rushed down the hallway, Ezra bobbing up and down behind her with Isaac a few feet behind --- she noticed a large door, sealed by a code. This was what they had come for, she knew it, and judging by the excited noises that were coming from Isaac's Leafeon, she knew it too. The man unlocked the door for them, using his Rotom. He instructed them to take what they could, causing Naru's eyes to light up. She grabbed what she could, ensuring that she didn't leave a scrap from each one of the piles behind. Meanwhile, Isaac scooped up one of the eggs in his hands, preparing to make a swift exit. He nodded towards Naru, as he turned back towards the Jack of Hearts, his bounty in his hands. The Jack's Natu began to glow, and he warned the trainers to get going while he held them off. "Ezra, we gotta go quick!" Naru shouted towards her Misdreavus, he gave a nod, quickly floating in front of her. She looked back at Isaac, blowing him a kiss. "Until we meet again, Casanova!" She winked, running as far away from the building as she possibly could following the ascension of the stairs. Isaac rolled his eyes, looking at Vinny. "Let's go, Vin. We should get out of here before the police come... they could book me for a lot more than this..." He nervously clutched his pocket, he most certainly did not want to get charged with possession. Vinny rolled her eyes, running with her master out of the building. --- Their escape was clean, and Isaac and Naru each quickly switched back into their street clothes from their respective disguises. They were successful, and hopefully their secret was buried in the wreckage of the casino itself.. (Thanks mods! I'll be dividing up my prizes. For Isaac: - The Heart Scale - The Cherish Ball (Switching out Vinny's Pokeball to put her inside) - TM Solar Beam For Naru: - TMs Pay Day, Snatch, Thief - Dusk Stone (Using on Ezra, turning him into a Mismagius) I'm also claiming the casino egg, however --- I will not decide who is keeping the Pokemon until it hatches. Thanks guys. I love you for these rewards. <3]

Ginny wasn't sure about this. This seemed so much like a trap of some sort... then again, she reasoned, was there any other way for them to get to the bottom of all this? "...Pawn," she whispered back to Keith with a brief nod. They'd go, whether it was a trap or not. If not, then of course that was just fine. But if it was a trap, Ginny was prepared to fight. And soon, Keith and his Pawniard made their way to the bottom of the staircase. As did, he noted, virtually everyone else who had been gathered, and what a crowd there was! A number of faces Keith recognized, and a number of ones he didn't. It was clear that Keith was not the only one summoned here. This seemed to put Ginny at ease, at least somewhat- if this many people were all being lured into a trap at once, sheer numbers might give them the edge in fighting their way out. And then the lights dimmed. A hooded figure appeared before them, literally out of nowhere. Keith's initial shock was slightly diminished by the sight of the man's Natu- he'd used his Qwilfish for Teleport enough times to know what that Natu's role had been just now. The man took down his hood, revealing a thin mask across his eyes, and whispered to the group, revealing himself to have been the one to leak to the media all the shady business going on behind the scenes at the casino, calling himself simply the Jack of Hearts. Stating that he wanted the same thing as all of them, and that they had very little in the way of time, he asked the group to follow him. And follow him they did. The Jack of Hearts led them to a door. Locked, of course, but the man's Rotom was close by, and able to overcome the electronic lock. And as the door fell open, so too did Keith's mouth- this was clearly the casino's treasure vault, packed with all manner of valuable items, up to and including a plethora of unhatched Eggs. The Jack's only advice for them at this point was to grab what they could, be quick about it, and ensure there was enough for everybody. And Keith did not need telling twice on any of those counts! He must have been the first one inside, Ginny being a close second. "You heard him, Ginny," said Keith, already scooping up a nearby Cherish Ball. "Let's go for it!" "Pawniard!" Ginny responded, making her way to a stack of Technical Machines and grabbing several at random while Keith plunged his arm into a barrel of Heart Scales (even if he only came out of it clutching one), and subsequently grabbing an Egg at random. And then, he came to a shelf piled high with an impressive array of evolution stones. And at the very top, a pitch-black rock that reflected the light beautifully. Having evolved both a Nidorino and a Nidorina in the past, Keith knew a Moon Stone when he saw one, and considering the stone's rarity, plus the use Keith would have for such a stone, considering a certain Psychic-type he'd adopted recently, he also knew that with an opportunity such as this, he'd be stupid not to grab the Moon Stone. Keith and Ginny met back up within a minute or two, Ginny handing the TMs off to Keith. Four of them- Pay Day, Snatch, Thief, and Psychic. And thankfully, the Pawniard was able to avoid activating any of them by accident. Keith stowed away the loot in his backpack, but before he could even consider possibly grabbing more stuff, the Jack of Hearts spoke up- the guards were on their way! He promised to distract them, and as Natu Teleported away, he seemed to make quite good on his promise, for there was a distant explosion not a moment later. Keith and Ginny exchanged looks. "Yeah, let's get the hell outta here," Keith said. "Pawn!" Ginny nodded, and so they took off along with the others. But they didn't get very far before their way forward was blocked- a pair of purple Pokémon wearing guards' hats stepped out of the elevator, growling menacingly. Keith no longer cared about acting inconspicuous- it was clear that that ship had sailed, hit an iceberg, sank, and had a movie made about it. Therefore he whipped out his Pokédex and pointed it at the newcomers. "Granbull, the Fairy Pokémon," droned the device. "A Fairy-type, and the evolved form of Snubbull. Despite its appearance, Granbull is timid by nature. When enraged, however, it attacks with powerful bites from its enormous fangs." "OK, they're Fairy types," Keith murmured- if they had to fight their way past a pair of Granbull, he was very, very thankful that the Pokémon accompanying him was a Steel type. He looked to Ginny and opened his mouth with the intention of telling her to use Iron Head, but the Jack of Hearts spoke up first, promising to hold the Granbull off while the others fled up the stairs. With that, he sent out a Decidueye. Keith grinned as Decidueye shot a pair of feathers straight past the Granbull- he'd been on the business end of a Spirit Shackle once before himself, and even before the Granbull themselves knew it, Keith knew they were trapped. Taking this as his cue, Keith dashed up the stairs, Ginny following not far behind. At long last, they were out of the building! As were the tourists who'd actually come to gamble- the fire alarm had gone off. Despite the situation, Keith couldn't help but smile- the casino might be shady as all hell, but at least they didn't disregard basic fire safety. Something Keith knew more than a little about, considering his father worked for the Lavaridge Fire Department back home. Everyone evacuated, up to and including the staff. Unseen by Keith or Ginny, a shadowy figure was flown off the roof by a certain owl. And then came the local fire department, as well as the police department- apparently there was a bomb threat. And just as the police started to question the casino staff, there was another explosion. The casino's roof caved in, and- Keith's jaw dropped. What happened next made him seriously wonder if this was what happened if you powered up Pay Day into a Z-Move- Pokédollars were erupting from the building like some sort of cash volcano. Keith frantically scrambled to grab some of the dough, but very quickly lost interest as one cop's cry of "Hey, this money's counterfeit!" echoed across the crowd. "Alright, Ginny, we should get the hell outta here," Keith whispered. "We'll see about getting the Egg hatched when we can-" "Pawn," Ginny interrupted. She was glaring at something, and Keith could very plainly see what once he followed the Pawniard's gaze. A Granbull, whether one of the guards from before, or an additional guard they'd not encountered before, was glaring right back. Keith couldn't tell- all he knew was that that look that the Granbull was giving was not a good one. Clearly, the Fairy type was more than a little displeased that the casino had been destroyed. And so Keith made to casually walk away, something that the other Trainers present seemed quite interested in doing, but the Granbull followed Keith, steadily walking faster, which in turn prompted Keith to pick up the pace, until they were both flat-out running. "Gah!" Keith grunted, nearly tripping on a tree root as he tried to outrun the Granbull. "Alright, fine! Ginny, if that thing wants a fight, we'll give it a fight! Iron Head, let's go!" "Pawn pawn!" Ginny exclaimed, charging forwards... only to be met with a point-blank Flamethrower from the Granbull! Keith swore in Shuppet language as Ginny stood unsteadily before Granbull, the Flamethrower having burned her in addition to scoring a critical hit. The Granbull, however, wasn't finished, and gave a bellowing Roar, forcing Ginny right back into her Red Cyber Ball. "Oh, geez," Keith groaned as the Granbull advanced on him. WHY hadn't he brought any of his other Pokémon?! He was prepared to try and flee again as Granbull started to prepare a Wild Charge... and then an Ice Beam struck Granbull's rear paws, freezing them to the ground! Keith's jaw dropped as a pink creature with a floral pattern floated down, hovering between him and Granbull. "Selia?!" Keith exclaimed. "What are you doing here?" Saving you, of course, the Munna responded telepathically. Luna suggested I come and see if I can help. Which I knew to mean you would definitely need my help. "Well, I'm loving your timing here," Keith stated. "Selia, Psywave!" "Muuu NAAAAA!" responded Selia, unleashing the rings of Psychic energy right at Granbull. This blasted it backwards, freeing its paws from the ice, but also dealt some nice damage. Granbull, unfortunately, was quick to fight back, hurling a Shadow Ball at Selia in retaliation. "Quick, Selia, dodge that!" Keith called, but he was rather late in doing so- the Munna was grazed by the super effective move and sent tumbling to the ground. "Gah... Selia... Why didn't Luna come herself?" he asked desperately. I asked her that myself, came the Munna's voice in Keith's mind. She said I would find out just after you did. As she spoke telepathically, the Munna unsteadily rose back into the air. "Just after I-" Keith spluttered, confused. What was that Swoobat of his even thinking?! There was always some sort of method to her madness, but he couldn't for the life of him see what it was this time. "What the- Didn't she give you a hint or something?" he asked desperately. She said I was the hint. "But how the- wait a sec," Keith murmured as something clicked in his mind. He dug into his backpack and sifted through his recent haul, pulling out his new Moon Stone. "Of course!" Keith grinned. "Selia, catch!" And he tossed the Moon Stone right at his Munna. And what happened next surprised precisely no one, though the Granbull did stop charging up a Flamethrower as Selia started glowing. Her overall shape remained the same, though as the glowing faded, there was now a trailing cloud of pink Dream Mist emerging from the hole in the 's forehead. Keith pointed his Pokédex at Selia with a grin on his face. "Musharna, the Drowsing Pokémon. A Psychic-type, and the evolved form of Munna. With the mist from its forehead, Musharna can create shapes of things from dreams it has eaten. The Dream Mist emanating from its forehead is packed with the dreams it has eaten." Ah, so this is what Luna meant, came Selia's voice in Keith's mind. A little more mature-sounding than when she was a Munna, but still recognizable. Now then, I think it's time I try something new out, she added, before rotating in midair, pointing her forehead to the ground. She unleashed a puff of odd purple energy which struck the ground and spread. Keith, at a loss for words, consulted his Pokédex once more. "Psychic Terrain," said the device. "An attack that alters the battlefield with weird energy temporarily. It powers up Psychic attacks and prevents the use of attacks that are guaranteed the first strike." "Powers up Psychic moves, hm?" Keith grinned, eyeing the list of Selia's moves. "Then let's try another new move, Selia!" he declared, for at that moment, Granbull had finally started to charge in for a Play Rough. "Use Psybeam!" "Shaaarna!"responded Selia, firing the Psybeam as ordered, a rainbow-colored beam of psychic power that slammed into Granbull, bolstered by the Psychic Terrain- Granbull couldn't power through, and abandoned the attempt at Play Rough. "Now! Hypnosis!" Keith ordered. Selia floated up to Granbull. She hovered, level with the Fairy-type's face... and opened her eyes. Granbull gave an involuntary shudder, but was unable to look away, not until the powerful hypnotic suggestion forced its eyelids shut. Keith gave a sigh of relief as Granbull slumped to the ground, snoring. I believe if we flee now, we can be far away by the time Granbull awakens, Selia suggested to Keith. Keith nodded. "I'm all for that," he agreed. He turned around and led the way back home, clutching Ginny's Red Cyber Ball, with his newly-evolved Musharna following close behind. OOC: Claiming the following; *1 Heart Scale *1 Cherish Ball, which I will not use to house anything just yet- gonna hold off on that decision. *1 Moon Stone, which I promptly use on Selia the Munna to evolve her into a Musharna. *1 TM Pay Day, which I promptly use on Vinny the Camerupt. *1 TM Snatch, which I promptly use on Luna the Swoobat. *1 TM Thief, which I promptly use on Meowth. *1 TM Psychic, which I promptly use on Eon the Shiny Eevee. *1 Rare Casino Egg, which shall hatch come New Year's Day. ~~~ *Vinny learned Pay Day!* *Luna learned Snatch!* *Meowth learned Thief!* *Eon learned Psychic!* Code:

Time to clean house? Well, that was a severe change of plan. "Come on, little lady." Alice murmured to the dog, slipping away from the crowd with an overly-sweet smile, taking the swiftest route downstairs as possible. Some more obvious ones had obviously been claimed or botched by others already, which didn't help, but Alice made it in time to see the strange figure delivering his speech. Talk about eccentric, Alice knew that they all had picked out costumes to throw off their scent in the evening, but this was really some kind of Tuxedo Mask. She could only hope that the staff hadn't somehow figured out the plan from her, and that they didn't get busted. She could teleport out, but only with a Pokemon that was a dead giveaway to her identity. Eager to leave with the best stuff that she could, Alice joined in with the rest of the raiders, stuffing a random egg into a bag along with a water stone for Lorin, several TMs and a few other goodies that her small arms were able to scramble for. The lift opened, two Granbull appearing, and Alice had to call down Samantha before she got herself brutalised. At least the rather pretty Deducieye got in there first. "Missy, we gotta bounce." Alice urged, making her escape with her other companions. She was worried for the Shuppet, but could only hope that it ended up freed in the aftermath along with any other trapped ghosts. The ensuing explosions were an indication in the right direction, at least. If the animatronics ended up broken, then even if the Pokemon fainted, surely it would wake up liberated? Alice had no way of finding out, forced to slip away back to where she had stowed a change of outfit and to teleport miles away from the scene of the crime. They could all recoup when it was safe. For now, though, they had to put their own selves first... ((Using TM Shadow Ball and Pay Day on Atsumu the Whismur, TM Thief and Snatch to Zoey the Zubat and collecting the other stoof quoted in this post. Looking forward to my first egg of New Fizzby and thanks for the effort y'all!))

The Nidoran caught sight of a Moon Stone, had he found what he was looking for. Alexander glared back at his trainer, if he cared at all he would know what he wanted. Jayson could see it in the Nidoran's eyes, he needed Jayson's help and Jayson hoped that this would make the Nidoran friendlier towards him. Reaching into his bag, Jayson pulled out 13 Rare Candies and placed them on the ground in front of the Poison type. The Nidoran ate quickly, devouring the candies with insatiable hunger. As he finished the last candy, his body began to glow. Alexander's body grew and swelled as he evolved from a Nidoran into a Nidorino! Alexander reached level 16! Alexander evolved into Nidorino! But it wasn't enough, Jayson knew that immediately. Walking over, he collected the Moonstone before kneeling down to the Alexander's level. "I know you want to be strong buddy, but we can be stronger together okay? We need to be a team." The Nidorino nodded, he was slowly growing respect for his trainer. Jayson reached out and touched the Nidorino's head with the stone, causing him to glow once more. His body grew even more this time as he rose up onto two legs. His tail lengthened and his horn grew even larger, until the light faded, revealing his new form. Alexander had evolved from a Nidoran to a Nidorino to a Nidoking within a minute, hopefully now he would be happy. Alexander evolved into Nidoking! The Nidoking let out a mighty roar, it seemed Alexander was indeed pleased with his new form. He reached out with his arms and embraced his trainer, Jayson was pleased to see Alexander finally opening up. The pair collected the rest of their loot before making their way out of the casino. Thanks for the effort that went into the event everybody. A same that it didn't get through to the finish but that happens. Claiming the following: 1x Cherish Ball 1x Heart Scale 1x Moon Stone (used on Alexander the Nidorino) 1x TM Pay Day 1x TM Thief 1x TM Snatch 1x TM Focus Blast 1x Rare Casino Egg (HYPE!) |

As Hyrem and Emma were making their way toward the exit, he knew he would be met with opposition, so he brought out his Ghost Ball and called Michael out of it. "What's up, kid?" he asked. "No time to explain! If you see some nasty looking Pokemon in guard uniforms, I need you to use your Skull of Forgotten Souls to distract them!" "Got it!" said the Banette before seeing the Arcanine and Aegislash from before blocking the first set of doors out. "That them?" "Sure is...now!" Michael's Skull activated, spontaneously summoning a skeleton that flung itself onto the Arcanine, keeping it busy for long enough, while Emma winked once again at the Aegislash, this time keeping it entranced and unable to do anything but wave goodbye and watch the Attractive Froslass float away. They weren't out yet, there was still a Machamp between them and the exit, ready to seize Hyrem with its four arms. Michael took a look at the loot and asked, "Hey, can I see that pink disc for a bit?" As Hyrem handed the TM Psychic over to Michael, he saw what move was on it, saying, "This'll do," before jamming it into his forehead, using the machine's powers before his eyes starting glowing a bright blue. At that moment, the Machamp's body started floating on its own before being flung aside by Michael's newly found Psychic powers, allowing Hyrem the chance to run past right as the fire alarm sounded. By the time the crowds were evacuating the building, Hyrem and his Pokemon were already outside looking for Selina. She was at the outskirts, running towards her trainer as soon as she saw him, meowing in excitement. "She says she and the others of Team Pocket are ready to go when you are?" Michael translated for Selina. "What's going on anyway?" Hyrem kneeled down, still holding the egg in addition to the bag of additional items he had recovered. "Sorry girl, the plans changed big time, and we had to go in and get out with what we could. I wish we could've gone in together, I really would've liked to see you in action..." Her head and tail drooped in response as she whined before Hyrem took the time to carefully set the egg down and pat his Liepard's head. "How about I make it up to you: next time we go adventuring in a city, you'll be the first Pokemon I bring along with me!" "Raouuuuu~" she meowed, bringing her head towards his in an affectionate bump. "Haha, it's a deal then! For now, let's take a look at what we got out of the casino!" As an explosion leveled the building, Michael seemed to be the only one to grace it with a response. "Wha- well, wait a minute, what happened!? Why was I brought out to get past some Pokemon guards!? And why am I the only one not ignoring that!? You know, the big, effin' explosion right over there!? Th-there's police and everything too...WHAT'S GOING ON HERE!?" *************** Claim: 1 Heart Scale 1 Cherish Ball Moon Stone TM Pay Day TM Snatch TM Thief TM Psychic Rare Casino Egg Use: TM Psychic on Banette New Move! Banette learned Psychic! {Thanks for the loot stuff! It is unfortunate how the adventure turned out, but at least we got something out of it!} EDIT: Pokedex Entries: Spoiler: show

Thankfully, it wasn't a trap. Thankfully, this Jack of Hearts fellow knew where the goods were. Not so thankfully, the timing of the staff's awareness was less than ideal for the raiding party. The roaring from a newly evolved nidoking probably didn't help matters very much, either. She, like many other trainers, quickly went about gathering her goodies. She noticed the eggs first, but decided to grab it last, giving Bell orders to craft a quick safety to put one in once she got to it. She quickly grabbed up the other goodies in the meantime, including a fancy looking pokeball, before pausing at the array of precious stones and species-specific memorabilia. She didn't pause for long, however, and randomly picked out a jagged green rock that she'd later realize had a distinct yellow marking through it before accepting what her dewpider could craft in such little time and stuffing an egg into it. She skirted around the soulbound fairies as she made a break for it, stuffing all her prizes into her bag before recalling Bell and joining the crowd that was streaming its way out of the building as an alarm tarted to blare in the background. She did her best to avoid the police when they arrived, while still looking as innocent as possible. Fighting through the gathering of curious passerby was difficult, sure, but that was nothing out of the ordina- BOOOOM! Ami flinched and covered her ears as an explosion suddenly roared from the Casino, unleashing a deluge of poke upon the area around it. "...Why is everyone reacting more to the money than the fact that something just blew up?" she muttered as she took advantage of the situation. "There were probably still living things in there!" Nadie caught a note out of curiosity and telekinetically passed it to his trainer. "Something's not right about this." She felt the bill, not quite sure what was rubbing her the right way about it- aside from the meaning behind this rain, of course. "Are they trying to... buy away potential testimony against them...?" She perked up a little as one of the officers declared it all to be phony in the first place. "Figures it would be as fake as the so-called Coins they were using." She declared with a shrug, tossing the slip of bologna over her shoulder. "Hopefully everything else we grabbed isn't, though. Especially the egg- it's almost certain to have a rare pokemon in it if it's real!" She looked up to see a silhouette pass dramatically across the moon, proving that the Jack of hearts had made it out okay as well. Though he was very clearly going for dramatics here- it would've been much safer for him to just use his natu's Teleport to get out of there, after all... (OOC: Picking up my Heart Scale, Cherish Ball, Thunder Stone, and TMs Thief, Pay Day, Snatch, and Shadow Ball. Oh, and the Rare Casino Egg. Can't forget about that!) |

“That was weird…” Gary mused, holding up the card to read it. “Something’s going on downstairs,” he told Scurvy, who perched on Gary’s shoulder to have a better look. “Why don’t we go see what’s up?” Scurvy quickly nodded and they slipped away from the gathering of people, making their way down the stairs. There he was met by a small group of trainers, all who had received similar notes. He recognized a few of his friends and accomplices that he had previously conspired with to scope out the casino, but before he could ask anyone what was going on, a hooded figure and his Natu Teleported onto the scene. The man briefly introduced himself as the Jack of Hearts and led the group down the corridor to what was revealed to be the casino’s treasure vault. He announced that the casino was attempting to cover their tracks, so it was time to take what they could and get out quickly. Gary looked around in amazement at all of the eggs and other rare items. He had little time to dally however, as the Jack of Hearts announced that guards were on their way. Gary quickly rifled through the assortment of goodies, taking what he could. He grabbed a Heart Scale, a rare all-red Pokeball known as a Cherish Ball, a sparkly Prism Scale, and a cluster of TMs. Last but not least, he carefully secured one of the rare eggs from the wall. As they fled the vault and made their way back to the stairs, they were greeted by a pair of Granbull who had emerged from the elevator. The Jack of Hearts quickly sent out a large owl Pokemon known as a Decidueye, and as Gary scanned it into his Pokedex, the fire alarm suddenly went off upstairs. It was time to go, and Gary wasn’t going to overstay his welcome. Once outside, a loud explosion confirmed the police’s reports of a bomb threat, and money erupted from the casino like ash from a volcano. Scurvy quickly snatched a handful of money with his tail, but unfortunately it turned out to be counterfeit. As the police moved to make some arrests and begin questioning the patrons, Gary knew it was time to get out of there before it became his turn to talk. “Let’s get out of here,” he whispered and Scurvy nodded, dropping the counterfeit money. Slipping the items into his backpack, Gary slipped out away from the crowd and scurried off away from the commotion. Claiming the following items: 1x Heart Scale 1x Cherish Ball 1x Prism Scale 1x Casino Egg Teaching my TMs to the following Pokemon: TM Pay Day to Lynxa the Sneasel TM Snatch to Buru the Smeargle TM Thief to Ikki the Murkrow TM Psychic to Belle the Happiny

Instead, what she saw when she walked out of the elevator was a man in a mask. Like a superhero, but more of a sorta lame superhero if Melody had to be 100% honest. But what was not lame was the task he has decided to entrust everyone with, moving the Casino's illgotten goods away. The thing that they had been working so hard on trying to do was finally in their grasp. Melody was quick to grab what she could. A coupel of TMs, Heart Scale, Grass Stone, a Cherish Ball and finally an egg. With the loot all conveniently wrapped up in a bundle, thanks to Silk's String Shot, Melody threw it over her back and booked it like there was no tomorrow. Which may have been a good thing. Essentially the moment that Melody was outside the Casino... BOOM! The damn thing blew up, money raining from the skies. Melody was momentarily excited, after all who doesn't like money, but one of the officers on the scene said something about it just being counterfeit, and for some reason Melody just lost interest. Instead she used the confusion to get clear, no point in being possibly held accountable. Claiming the following: • 1 Heart Scale • 1 Cherish Ball • 1 Leaf Stone • TMs Pay Day, Snatch, Thief & Earthquake • One Rare Casino Egg Teaching TM Earthquake to Stufful

"Choux," she whispered. "Let's go." She scooped up her Pokemon, who had begun to wander over to a game of blackjack where a lady had left her bag open. The other trainers she had entered the room with were descending the stairs, and after waiting a moment, Athena followed them as well. Upon reaching the end of the stairwell, Athena and Choux found a place among the other trainers. She spotted Gary with his Aipom, and acknowledged him with a faint smile. Someone began to speak, though Athena couldn't quite see who it was. The crowd of trainers moved at his command, and Athena jogged a bit to keep up. The next room they entered was filled with prizes, and Athena and Choux's eyes both lit up. Several trainers went right ahead and helped themselves to several items. Athena hesitated, was this really ok? She soon found herself at the front of the line, and quickly grabbed what she could. Something shiny and heart shaped, a solid red Pokeball, a purple stone, as well as a few TMs. Carefully, she lifted an egg from the case it was in and put everything delicately into her backpack. Everyone quickly made their exit, only to be stopped by a pair of large Granbull. Athena looked down at Choux in her arms, wondering if her Pokemon would look as scary when he evolved. She quickly went through the list of Choux's moves in her head, wondering if she could do anything to help. The guards were easily stopped by the mysterious stranger's Decidueye, and Athena rushed past them. Once outside, Athena seperated herself from the group of trainers who had been called to the basement of the Casino. She avoided the gaze of several police officers, and instead placed herself in the crowd of bystanders that had begun to form. The trainer straightened out her hair, and addressed someone standing next to her. "Wow, who would've guessed?" Thanks for a nice wrap up to this event! Claiming

"And that we shall. Ready Shiou?" The Gastly grinned - that was the calling card he'd been hoping for. The ghost was under specific orders to lay low until Sai gave the signal, and now that they were kicking things up a notch, there was no point in holding back anymore. Shadows danced around the phantom, and the creature merged with them. The mass of darkness twirled and changed shape a hundred times; a single dark orb split into three, and two of them became hands. The last one grew and gained mass, until finally, the transformation was complete. Shiou had become a ! "Magnificent. Let's go then - time for one last surprise!" The several groups met up as instructed, and the leader of the raid was revealed to be the Jack of Hearts, a mask-wearing birdmaster who knew the ins and outs of the Casino like the back of his hand. Under his guidance, the Thieves reached the Casino's vault, and once it was breached open, Sai watched as everyone's eyes glimmered when confronted with the treasures within. Shiou, too, was ready to raid the loot. "We take nothing." The ghost froze, visibly in disagreement with the monk's asceticism. Sai, in turn, also sensed the disparity of intentions, and knew it had to be dealt with quickly. "There is nothing in here we need. But perhaps your old master would welcome some of these gifts," he calmly remarked. "Take some for Professor Rorik then, if you will, and one of the eggs. I fear they will be damaged and lives will be lost if they aren't retrieved." Soon afterwards, the raiders were confronted by a pair of Granbull, quickly pinned in place by Jack of Heart's Decidueye. But they still blocked the path, and escaping the Casino was of the essence. Fortunately, that wouldn't be a problem for Sai and Shiou. "Ladies and gentlemen, fellow Thieves... it was a pleasure working with you for the betterment of this land." Bowing respectfully, Sai bid the group farewell, before his Haunter's shadow enveloped him and the two vanished from sight, Teleporting away. --- "That was... refreshing," concluded the Saigonese monk once he and Shiou rematerialized outside the Casino doors. They looked back in time to see an explosion of money in the distance, likely Jack of Hearts's parting gift, and Sai couldn't help but smile. "A curious man, that one. I wonder if we will ever get to test our strength against this Fizzytopian vigilante." Then, turning his attention to the newly-evolved ghost, Sai finally broke the question. "I am sure you put that new pair of hands to good use... Very well, let's see what you retrieved. I am certain you will find a way to get all this to the Professor, under cover of night... I would prefer he didn't trace these gifts back to us." Shiou chuckled, amused by the monk's strange sense of etiquette - he would deliver the goods, no doubt, but he'd take some for himself before then; Sai didn't need to know. He had done well to leave the useless Rorik Pine behind for this Sai Hajimoto character... ---- Claiming the following: - Heart Scale - Cherish Ball - Ice Stone - TM Pay Day (taught to Guntz the Snorlax) - TM Snatch (taught to Guntz the Snorlax) - TM Thief (taught to Shiou the Haunter) - TM Focus Blast (taught to Volg the Charmeleon) - Casino Egg Regardless of how it had to turn out, it was a lot of fun. Congrats on the creative way you handled this transition! ^^

Aiden blinked and the Natu was gone. Probably Teleported back to whoever its trainer was. With another glance around the room and a frown, he made his way back to the stairs and the rest of the group he'd come down here with. ...or not, apparently. There was a bigger group of trainers down here than he remembered, some coming down the stairs and others exiting from an elevator he hadn't noticed earlier. He figured they must be other trainers who had been planning on casing the Casino out in preparation for the nighttime heist, only to get told to gather here for whatever reason. The lights dimmed abruptly and a hooded figure Teleported in, making Aiden jump. He assumed this was the guy who'd sent the Natu out to bring them all here, an assumption that proved true when the guy started explaining things. They were probably also the organizer for the original heist, too, though it sounded like things had gotten tight and the heist was happening now. Aiden ran after the guy as he led them down the corridor, stopping in front of one specific door and getting his Rotom to open it up. "Quick, grab what you can, but make sure there's enough for everyone," he said as everyone started to gather whatever was inside. Aiden looked around wide-eyed at all of the prizes, evolution items, and TMs arrayed on the shelves, gaze pausing on the eggs before searching for the Pokémon prizes. Where were they? The Coins for Prizes traded coins for Pokémon, so where else would they hide them? The Natu chirped and Jack said, "We have to move quickly. The guards will be down here any minute. I'll set off a diversion while you all escape, so hurry!" A few moments later, an explosion echoed down to them and Aiden took that as his cue to just grab whatever he could, so they could go. The group streamed out of the treasure room and ran into a pair of Granbull guards just exiting the elevator. "Go up the stairs and get out of here quickly!" Jack yelled, pulling out a Pokéball and tossing it. "We'll hold them off! Freeze them, Robin Hoot!" A hooded bird Pokémon materialized in the hallway and drew its wing like a bow, shooting a pair of feathers past the Granbulls. Aiden despaired and pushed himself to run faster, ignoring the Granbulls' laughter. He glanced back as the laughter turned to confused noises, the Granbulls seemingly frozen in place from whatever the bird archer had done. The arrows must've missed on purpose. As he hit the ground floor, the fire alarm rang out and he slowed down until he was only hurrying a little faster than the crowd was, hoping to use the mass of people to camouflage himself while he shoved his stolen goods into his pockets. He fumbled with the egg for a bit and ended up shoving it into his shirt, wrapping his borrowed cloak around himself to try to give the impression that there was nothing unusual about his figure. Once outside, he glanced around and tried to figure out where he should go now. Home...was probably a bad idea. He didn't know if he'd escaped the Casino staff's notice and the police and fire department were just arriving, so anything out of the ordinary would probably be noticed. Maybe the Parks then? It was big enough to get lost in and he could hopefully lose any pursuers on the trails. He was just about to start heading that way when something exploded behind him and he ducked. Glancing over his shoulder, he stared as the roof of the casino caved in, throwing money into the air like a volcanic eruption. He gaped until someone yelled, "Hey, this money's counterfeit!", at which point he shook his head and looked over at the person yelling. A police officer slapped a pile of money out of another's hands and then ordered the squads accompanying him to arrest the casino staff. Aiden figured that has his cue to go. ...he'd take a walk through the Parks, just in case, though the police looked busy rounding up the casino staff. Better to be safe than sorry, after all. OOC: Collecting 1 Heart Scale, 1 Cherish Ball, 1 Ice Stone, 1 TM Focus Blast, and 1 Rare Casino Egg. Whether Aiden gets to keep them will be determined when the egg hatches. Thanks for wrapping up the event, though, Gary!

He made his way downstairs, just as quick, giving a quick smirk to the Machoke who was possibly still lovestruck. As he made his way to the vault, he saw many different faces of trainers, ones that he recognized from the entrance of the casino not too long ago, but there were some others that he must not've noticed before. A gentleman thief made himself known, before giving everyone the okay to basically rob this Casino. Bill found a little stone shaped like a crown, a red pokeball, much like the one Swift, his Finneon was in, and a heart-shaped scale. Silver, the Squirtle traveling with him, found a green TM handing it to Bill before pointing to his own head. Seems like the guy wanted to learn whatever move was on here. He grabbed three more TMs before finding a lone egg sitting in the vault. He quickly scooped it up and put it in his bag, but that's when trouble struck. Some of the guards had found the group, it was time to leave. This Jack of Hearts stayed behind to create a diversion, he or she likely had a route of escape already planned. The trainers ran as fast as they could, Bill included before finally exitting the building. The police and fire fighters had already arrived. A large explosion blasted the building, but the police found out that a lot of the money was forged. That meant that even if Bill had thought to take the money, it wouldn't be much good. Bill ended up heading towards the museum. He pretty much felt at home there anyways, egg clinched in hand. Whatever was in this would have to make up for a big roster. ============== Picking up King's Rock Heart Scale Cherish Ball TM Thief TM Snatch TM Payday TM Solar Beam 1 x Casino Egg Silver learned Solar Beam. |

Making their way to the stairwell, he found himself in the company of many, and then before their eyes shimmered an unusual fellow garbed in green, introducing himself as the Jack of Hearts. Alex raised an eyebrow, but the fact that no snarky comment emerged from the corvus clued him in to the fact that the avian likely had prior knowledge of this turn of events. Indeed, the enigmatic figure was responsible for the leaks in the first place, and led the group to a doorway. Hacking the panel beside it with ease (wasn't this place extremely secure?) the door slid open to reveal what was clearly the vault. The man's statement and intent was simple: take what you could, and scarper. "Caw-sider this pilfered..." the dark type crooned, taking flight from shoulder and hooking talons onto a rare pokeball and dark stone. "Right, lemme see what we have here..." he hissed, the human snatching a scale and pack of discs from the shelf before seizing a large jar containing a pokemon egg, before turning for the exit to find it blockaded by a pair of angry canines. A dull boom from above and a swift arrow from an unusual avian creature gave the trainers their escape route as human and crow made good their escape. Granted, the sight of someone carrying an egg under arm would be suspicious, but Alex had a plan there too. With Fragarath having handed over the loot, the Honchkrow watched the staff of the casino leave, dark eyes fixated on a figure making escape in the night, before giving a low croon as he and his trainer became shrouded in a deep haze as the casino met its fate under an enormous explosion. How Alex wished this were a desire of doom, but alas, such was not to be. Nevertheless, as the scene descended into chaos, he and the crow made good their escape, though it would be noticed the Honchkrow's hateful glare at the casino. The news that they had started moving things out did not sit well with the bird's idea of wrath, and he'd be making plans to ensure that the last traces of the establishment formerly known as Jirachi's Casino remained outwith the grubby mitts of the ones responsible for heading the fraudulent scheme. Nothing was ever untraceable in the eyes of the Honchkrow, not even the few items of choice smuggled from a wretched hive of scum and villainy. OOC: Collecting the above goods with my thanks. |

He then headed back to the stairs with the rest of the group he was with. A young man soon greeted the group, pulling off a green cloak to reveal a masked face. That didn't give any Robin Hood vibes, not at all. The man explained to them he leaked the dark secrets of the Casino to the media, and that it was their turn to get their spoils. The man, wishing to be called the "Jack of Hearts", beckoned the group to follow him. Eventually they reached the treasure vault, and Austin's eyes widened at what lay before him. A multitude of riches lay before him, just waiting to be taken. Of course, he had to only take a few things. There were, of course, others here. He rummaged through the loot, taking a Heart Scale, a Cherish Ball, a Thunder Stone, TMs for Pay Day, Thief, Snatch, and Overheat, and lastly an incubator with an egg inside of it. With these items, he bolted out of the casino. Yes, it did look suspicious, but he heard the police sirens and wanted out of there. As he bolted down a street, he bumped into a blonde man and the Thunder Stone of his dropped from his pocket. There wasn't time to get it at this point, so he just yelled out to keep it. He needed to get back to his house and use what he had gotten. At least at this point everything else was safely in his bag. Nick was too, safely tucked into his Poke Ball. Everything seems to be going smoothly now. Everything was going perfectly. All he had to do was take a turn here, a left there, and done. He was out of the city. It would be safe from here. The teen eventually got back to his base and announced he was back home. All of his Pokemon looked at him, some came to greet him while others went back to their business. Wisp gave him a hug, and a few other Pokemon nuzzled his feet. Marie then looked at him, a bit disappointed. "What did you do this time kid?" The Gengar questioned him. "Uh, nothing. I just stole somethings from the casino. It's fine, don't worry about it," he responded as he dug through his bag. "You mean the one that just burned down? Not surprised kid, but you need to watch yourself." "Don't you think I know that? Anyways, here we go." Austin placed the incubator on the table. Most of his Pokemon looked at it with wide eyes. What would hatch from the egg wasn't known yet, but it certainly would be interesting. Considering the Pokemon that were commonly given out as prizes, it would certainly be a rare Pokemon. Most importantly, it was a new member for the family. That gave Austin a smile. This certainly was a ragtag group, but everyone held each other together. He then motioned towards his Skitty. The cat looked at him with his usual regal air, the crown on his head tilting slightly. Grabbing his Pokedex, Austin opened up the TM slot and put in the TM for Pay Day and aimed it at Prince. A red light enveloped the Skitty before disappearing. The trainer once again repeated this action, but with the TM for Thief this time. The cat shook its head, a bit tired from being taught new moves. Prince then flopped down, using his cape as a blanket. Austin then left the small crowd surrounding the egg and looked for his Larvesta. That bug had to be somewhere here. Had to be. He went up the stairs, and found the moth larva staring down one of the stuffed animals he had. Austin didn't know why Taiyo always stared them down. Maybe the bug thought they were real? It would explain a few things. Anyways, he tapped his foot on the ground, seeing the Larvesta turn around to look at him with shocked eyes. Spinning the TM for Overheat around his finger, Austin put it into his dex and aimed it at Taiyo. The red light transferred the move into the Larvesta's memory before fading away. Overheat was fitting for the sun... With that, Austin flopped down on his bed. He was tired. The day was long. He felt his Litwick appear next to him and sit next to him. Following Wisp, he could feel his Pachirisu Kai curl up on his stomach. This felt... nostalgic. When he use to just have a cuddle puddle with his friend in childhood. Where were they? He needed to know, but not now. He was tired, and the day was long. He closed his eyes and faded to sleep. ~~~ Kyle watched as the teen who bumped onto him faded from view. He picked up the Thunder Stone with curiosity, and heard the kid yell to keep the stone. What an interesting person. He shook his head and grabbed the eky to his apartment. Walking into the complex, he made his daily route of walking up the stairs to the third floor. Walking down the hall, he stopped in front of door 304 and went in. It was a small apartment, but it worked out for him. He saw his Espurr sleeping on the beaten up sofa, and decided it would be in his best interest to not disturb the kitten. As he headed towards his bedroom, he saw his Oddish trip in front of him. Helping her out, he patted the small plant as she continued her way towards the living room. Opening his bedroom door, the blonde was reminded at just how messy his room was. Textbooks and old term papers littered the floor. It had been a few months since he finished his degree, but he couldn't really be bothered to clean up his room. Besides... they hid the stains. He saw a pair of ears perk up from the corner, and he saw Kale emerge from his bed. The Eevee ran up to him and nuzzled his leg, before Kyle picked him up and rubbed the Pokemon's head. Kyle then sat on his bed, and Kale slumped down into his lap. He looked towards the window, and that side of the bed. It's been empty for months... He couldn't bear touching it. "I found him Kale," Kyle began, his voice shaking. His usual upbeat demeanor fading from him. "I found Isaac." The Eevee looked at him and just buried its face into Kyle's stomach. He patted his friend's back and let the Pokemon comfort him. His one weak spot... Was him. That man. And now he found him again. Found where he was hiding after all of this time. He wasn't his brother but, Isaac left a lasting effect on him. The one person able to completely destroy his usual joyous, childish personality. Make him go from a shining extrovert to a flustered mess of a person. "We're going to see him. Are you ready?" Kyle asked, and the Eevee perked up. At this time, the blonde remembered the Thunder Stone. "Hey, I want you to have something." He produced the Thunder Stone. "You ready?" Kyle asked, his wide grin back on his face. Kale nodded, and pressed his nose onto to the stone. Jumping backwards onto the floor, Kale began being enveloped in a white light. His body started to grow, his legs longer and his head sleeker. His fluffy fur started to harder and become jagged, almost spiky. He had a collar of spikes, and his giant, fluffy tail were now more spikes of fur. The white light faded, and Kale's brown fur was now a vibrant yellow. Small sparks of electricity traced his body, and the Pokemon gave a bark. No longer was Kale an Eevee, he was now a Jolteon. "Awesome! That was seriously awesome!" Kyle yelled out, feeling rejuvenated. "Hey, how about I teach you that TM I got a bit back? I was saving it for tihs, you know?" he laughed before shining the Jolteon a toothy grin. Rummaging through his drawers, Kyle eventually found a case with a yellow disk inside of it. He grabbed his Pokedex, which was lying on his nightstand, and fiddled with it. The Johto model had its flaws, but it was still a helpful encyclopedia. Finding the TM options, Kyle put the disk in. The confirmation appeared on his screen, and he pressed yes. Aiming his dex at Kale, Kyle let the machine do its magic. A red beam of light enveloped the Jolteon, and soon was gone. He took the disk out, now colorless and tossed it in the trash. It had served its purpose, teaching Kale Thunderbolt. "Alright boy, let's go. It's time to see him." OOC: Claiming- 1x Heart Scale 1x Cherish Ball 1x Thunder Stone (used to evolve Kale the Eevee) 1x TM Pay Day (used on Prince the Skitty) 1x TM Thief (used on Prince the Skitty) 1x TM Snatch 1x TM Overheat (used on Taiyo the Larvesta) 1x Rare Casino Egg Also using: 1x TM Thunderbolt (used on Kale the Jolteon)

"What's taking so long?" she groaned, partially to herself. "I have no idea," Glitch answered, still taking refuge in its trainer's cellphone and listening in through the earpiece’s mic. "Let me go check the elevator's sta-" Its text-to-speech gets interrupted by the elevator doors to unexpectedly and suspiciously closing at an unusual speed. "What the fuzz!?" As soon as the question reached Mélina's mind and ears, it was answered in the least expected way possible: the face which the trainer quickly identified of a Rotom's appeared on the elevator's panel, smiling and giggling as the long-time partners felt small compartiment going downwards. As the elevator stopped and opened its doors, the face of the Plasma Pokémon vanished, leaving behind a message: It's time to clean house. While doing her best to conceal herself gulping her own spit, Mélina cautiously stepped through the doorway. "Ok this is getting too weird," the Porygon stated, unable to fully express his fear and worry through the electronic speech. "I better materialize in case there's more shenanigans like this." After Glitch flashed into existence, the woman continued walking away from the elevator. Both then realized they were not alone... they were surrounded with other people. Some from other elevators, others going down some stairs... as if all were lead in this place, in one way or another. Mélina clenched her teeth and Glitch twitched erratically as they got the same feeling that it was a trap to try and mess up the plans for the raid. The Kalosian really wanted to do like a tree and get the heck out of there, but she knew that if it was really a trap, it was unfortunately too late. The only thing that made her feel a little better is that they might be closer at figuring out what's going on, especially with her longtime pal by her side. ...Well the bad news is that they didn't figure it out. The good news was they were told what's going on. Come to find out, the impromptu reunion of those people was not a trap, but an actual reunion, for all those who joined the battle against the casino, making them all fellow "raiders". The one who orchestrated the meeting of sorts was none other than the man who released the information to the media himself, who presented himself as the "Jack of Hearts". He spoke on how he, as everyone else present, want justice and freedom, then asked to follow him. In perfect synchronization that can only be honed by companionship for many years, the ex-QA consultant and the living electronic bug turned their heads towards each other and nodded in agreement. They knew that it was the only thing they can do now, and they had the feeling they could trust the stranger. After sneaking around deeply into the casino, with the mysterious young man's Pokémon skillfully removing every single obstacle in their way with ease (to the point Glitch was getting a little jealous of the Rotom), they finally arrived at their final destination: inside the treasure vault. Mélina’s jaw dropped and the Porygon’s eyes glittered as they watch in awe the contents, all rare items and Pokémon eggs. “Quick,” Jack of Hearts exclaimed, “grab what you can, but make sure there’s enough for everyone.” Not waiting a second more, the two split up so then can cover the area more efficiently and be able to grab as many things as possible. Mélina appropriately found the jackpot of human-made items, so she grabbed quite a few TMs and a beautiful Cherish Ball to add to her Pokéball collection (she already had one, but she couldn’t resist getting her hands on a second one of those precious receptacles.) Glitch on the other hand ironically got itself into the more natural objects, so it took whatever looked pleasing to the eyes: Scales of the Heart and Prism kind. Of course, the attack on the casino wouldn’t be complete without freeing the Pokémon there, specifically the precious eggs that came from Arceus knows where. In a surprisingly parental procedure, the Virtual Pokémon pat its nose on top of one egg, then very carefully rolled it onto its back then hovered back to meeting its trainer so she can hold it in a more secure manner. As soon as Mélina stuffed the goods into her purse and hugged the egg in comfort, the Jack of Hearts warned about the casino employees being on their plans, and that everyone should flee as soon as possible while he sets up a diversion. As she dashed the elevators, the woman stopped in her tracks and let out a yelp as the doors opened and revealed a couple of menacing Granbull guards. “Go up the stairs and get out of here quickly! We’ll hold them off!” The woman gulped loudly. She didn’t know what’s worse: the Granbull or the stairs. Seeing her reaction and knowing her adversity for stairs, Glitch quickly swept off its trainer’s feet and helped her going up. The rest was quite a blur, as everyone was running around either calmly or in panic. The normal patrons were mostly doing the latter, as it seemed a fire alarm turned on. As soon as everyone was out, firefighters and policemen and women ran into the scene. The police force quickly spread out, questioning people left and right. One even, on a slip of the tongue, mentioned that they responded to a bomb threat. Mélina and Glitch thought it was just a fake warning from Jack of Hearts to make the diversion more plausible and the situation slightly more chaotic, until suddenly they realised they were half right: there was a bomb. An explosion is heard up above, on the rooftop of the casino. In a comical way that felt right out of cartoons, the building started to blow out an exorbitant amount of dollar bills, eventually raining down on all the surrounding crowd. With a grin on their faces, the duo started catching whatever money they could get… until a wave of news from an observant police officer spread like wildfire: the money is fake. In a shrug, Mélina threw all the bills she had upwards like a big pile of leaves, trying to have at least a little fun out of it. Porygon though quickly nudged her, bringing to her attention that the police now concentrated on arresting all of the casino’s staff. With her proverbial feet back on the ground, Mélina realised that it was their chance to slip out of the view while everyone’s eyes were on the police and the establishment’s workers… So in a quick shuffle, she did. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Picking up the following:

One of the skylight windows had been left open slightly, and through the gap a Murkrow flew in. Wait, that didn't seem right. What was the dark type even doing? Error was about to question the darkness Pokemon, but became completely distracted once a single feather had fallen right in front of him. Examining the feather, Error was shocked to see a card had been attached, a short message written on it. "Meet at the bottom of the downstairs stairwell in ten minutes. It’s time to clean house." Error read quietly, for possibly the first time in his whole life. A mission! Error has a new mission! Yay! The Magneton thought happily, quickly floating in circles. It took all his effort not to announce his joy to the world. After continuing to circle in the air for a good few minutes, the Magneton finally stopped, realizing he had somewhere he needed to be. Giving the area he was in one last look, the Magneton zoomed off towards the stairs. ---- After reaching his destination, Error was shocked to see so many people and Pokemon. Had they all been summoned by the Murkrow as well? Or was this some kind of celebration? "Error never knew this was a party!" The Magneton exclaimed, before catching himself. Come on Error, you've got this! Error needs to wait till after for the excitement! If Error gets caught....then he can't save Diamanta! Error thought to himself. Keeping the Carbink's safety in mind, Error tried his hardest to suppress any further outbursts. This became especially hard once the lights dimmed, and a hooded figure appeared out of thin air. Once the figure had pulled his hood off, Error theorized that he was man, somewhere in his later 20's. The strange man told the group that they didn't have much time, before trying to explain things as quick as possible. The man could be referred to as the Jack of Hearts. According to him, he had been the one to leak the shady business of the casino to the media. After his explanations, the strange man told the group to follow him as he made his way down the corridor. Seeing as Error's goals were shared with the strange man, the Magneton saw no reason to stay behind, and so he he quickly zoomed off after him. Eventually the group reached a locked door, though it didn't remain locked for long. After some electrical interference from the Jack of Heart's Rotom, the door opened. Behind it, the casino's treasure vault. "Wow! It's amazing!" Error couldn't help but exclaim. In the room was shelf after shelf of valuable items, and walls of unhatched eggs! Receiving orders to quickly grab whatever they could, Error watched as the rest of the group began to take whatever they could lay their hands on. Error could only standby as he watched the stash of goodies deplete, helpless to do anything about it. Not that the Magneton didn't want any of the treasure, but because he lacked the appendages required to pick anything up! Visibly distraught, Error began to circle around in a panic, wondering just what he was to do. "There's no need to panic. I've got something for you." A voice echoed in the Magneton's head, causing him to stop spinning around. "Who's there? Why is Error hearing voices?" The magnet Pokemon questioned aloud. "I'm communicating with you via telepathy. I foresaw this event, and so I've decided to help." The voice replied. Then, much to Error's surprise, a large bag began to float towards him. Attaching itself to one of the Magneton's magnets, the bag soon lost it's ability of flight, though it still remained firmly attached to Error. "Error thanks...whoever you are!" Error exclaimed as the Magneton began to circle the air once more. "No time for thanks. The guards are coming." The voice warned. "They're onto us! Error must hurry!" The Magneton exclaimed, before zooming off down the hall. Sure enough, the words Error had just heard proved to be true as two Granbull guards exited the elevator, blocking the groups path. Luckily for them, the Jack of Heart's had a plan! Using his Decidueye, the man managed to pin the guards shadows in place, leaving them frozen on the spot! Taking advantage of this, Error rushed past the fairy types and up the stairs, his bag still clinging to his top right magnet. ---- As the magnet Pokemon made his way outside, he noticed that everyone else was as well. In all the confusion, Error hadn't realized until now that the fire alarm had been pulled! Once he had escaped, the Magneton began to search for his partner, though in the end the Nuzleaf found him first. "What did you do this time?" Kage questioned, her expression as cold as ever. "Kage! There you are!" The Magneton exclaimed, upon noticing the Nuzleaf. "Shh! Keep it down!" The Nuzleaf scolded him. "Huh? Why? Error has already made his esca-" The Magneton started, before noticing that the police and fire department had arrived. "Never mind the explanation. Let's just get out of here. While we still can." Kage said, before she grabbed hold of the Magneton and started to pull him away. ---- "Alright, let's see what you got." Kage said, pulling the bag off of Error. The pair had managed to escape to the nearby woods, where they had decided to retire for the night....and check out their goodies. "Error can't wait to find out! Error is excited!" The Magneton exclaimed as he began to circle the Nuzleaf. Ignoring the Magneton, Nuzleaf began to shuffle through the bag, before pulling out four TM's. "Oh wow! We can learn lot's of moves now!" Error droned. Continuing her search, Kage managed to dig out a Cherish Ball and Heart Scale next. "This is so next!" Error exclaimed. Next, the Nuzleaf managed to pull out an egg, causing her eyes to widen considerably. "It's...an egg.." Kage murmured, before gently placing it on the ground. "Oh! Oh! I wonder what's inside!" Error exclaimed as he started to spin around the egg. Growing tired of Error's comments, Kage simply turned the bag upside down, spilling the rest of the contents on the grass. "Hey, it's a Leaf Stone." The magnet Pokemon droned, eyeing the mysterious rock with interest. With newfound excitment, Kage returned the stone back to the bag as quick as possible, being careful not to touch it by accident. "Thank you Error. You did well." Kage smiled, possibly for the first time in front of the Magneton. "Thanks! Error is glad you're impressed! But it wasn't me who got this stuff!" The Magneton exclaimed. "Come again?" Kage questioned, giving the Magneton a strange look. "Oh, this telepathic voice helped me out!" Error replied. "Telepathic voice? Have you completely lost it?" The Nuzleaf questioned. "Your friend speaks the truth, a voice called out to the pair, startling both of them. From the bushes emerged a Gothita, who casually began to walk towards the pair. "State your business. Now." Kage growled, her body shifting into an attack stance. "No need to be so hostile. I'm not trying to hurt you." The Gothita replied. "Then why did you follow Error? Are you part of the Error fan club?" The Magneton questioned. "I followed you, because that's what the future needs. I couldn't just give you some supplies, then leave you to rot." The Gothita explained. "You were the voice that helped Error?" Error questioned. "Exactly. I recently had a vision. One that puts you and many of your friends in peril. So I've intervened....to try and help you a bit." The fixation Pokemon replied. ".....So these items are supposed to help....our friends?" Kage questioned, sounding extremely skeptical. "Correct. For example, that egg I left you. I can sense that it holds great potential. It will surely help you and your trainer on your journey." The Gothita explained "Neat! Error is so excited!" The magnet Pokemon exclaimed. "That's not the reason I came here though. I know you're looking for your trainer. So I've come to tell you where you kind find them." The fixation Pokemon said. "I'm listening." Kage grumbled. "Ok. It's a bit hazy. But I've seen them....in a strange forest. It's filled with all sorts of mushrooms. If you follow west from here....you should be able to find your trainer, and a Shuppet as well." The Gothita explained. "Shuppet?! You mean...Aco?" Kage questioned, sounding much more interested then before. "Ummm..I think? As I said, it's kind of hazy." Gothita replied. "Thank you for the info! Error is super thankful!" Error droned. "Yes. Thanks." Kage added, before scooping up the rest of their supplies, and placing them in the bag. "It was nothing. Now, I must be off. Take care." Gothita said, giving the pair a quick wave, before exiting back through the bushes. "New plan, we're leaving for that forest. Now." Kage said, placing the bag onto her back. "What about sleep? Don't you need sleep?" Error questioned. Kage gave no response to Error's words, instead she began to make her way back through the trees. She didn't quite know where west exactly was, but that wasn't stopping her. The Nuzleaf only had one thing on her mind. Aco...I'll find you. I promise. Nyx hisses in annoyance at the new delay, so Eskil whispers “We’ll slip away and head back this way in a moment. It’ll be nice to explore while the crowd is watching the show.” Mollified for the moment, she settles. Plans change once again when, milling about near the back of the crowd preparing to leave, Eskil feels a tug on his sleeve. He catches a glimpse of a yellow Pokemon disappearing into the crowd, and then finds a note hidden in his pocket. The note is short and straight to the point (and a bit alarming in that it seems the writer knew why he was here). Despite the possibility of a trap, Nyx and Eskil agree that it is the best lead they have, and so Eskil cautiously heads to the meeting spot. There, he is joined by several other wary trainers, some of whom he had seen wandering around the casino earlier. The tension is broken by the arrival of a hooded figure. Calling himself the “Jack of Hearts”, he claims to be the mastermind behind the information leak. He quickly breaks into the vault and leads the group of trainers into it. Nyx leaps off of his shoulder with a gleam in her eyes, and Eskil leaves her to her scavenging. He grabs a Pokeball he has never seen before, and an Egg. As the Jack of Hearts calls a warning about guards being on the way, Nyx returns with a pawful of TMs and a shiny scale. Eskil turns to leave with the rest of the trainers, and as they hurry out, Nyx snatches a wicked looking claw from a bin by the door. The guards rushing to stop them are held off by one of the Jack of Hearts other Pokemon, and Eskil manages to join the rush of people evacuating the building because of a tripped fire alarm. He and Nyx don’t stick around long. The pair are carrying far too many strange things (an egg certainly stands out, after all) to linger, especially as an explosion rips through the building. Getting caught by the police with armfuls of stolen goods is not a good idea. (Eskil doesn’t really want to find out how well the trainer ID Belial had almost certainly had forged for him would go over with the police, anyway.)
