Dragonair The Twilight Realm's Recorded History

The Twilight Realm

Aeons ago, the magical land of Elysia was in a constant state of turmoil. Tensions between good and evil had risen to breaking point, resulting in the eruption of an immense war which spanned centuries. Prophecies told of a hero who would one day bring peace to Elysia, a man like no other whose powers will come from the heavens themselves, but as the years passed, turning into decades and then centuries, the Elysians lost hope. They began to believe that the war would never end until every last living entity in the land was dead, and thus began to call it the Apocalyptic War.

Little did they know that two children had been born, each with immense magical power. One as pure as the heavens, one as evil as the nightmarish pits of hell. As they grew, witnessing the destruction around them, their existence was barely noticed. Each knew what must be done to end the war, and upon reaching adulthood their abilities multiplied tenfold, enabling them to make their existence known. Though their names have been lost in the ravages of time, they are known through legend as the Avatar of Light and the Avatar of Darkness.

The Avatar of Light wanted for good and evil to coexist peacefully, while the Avatar of Darkness encouraged and assisted the war, believing that one side must obliterate the other for it to end. Though he tried valiantly to bring peace to Elysia the Avatar of Light eventually realized that with hundreds of people and Pokémon dying with each passing day, his efforts could not stop the bloodshed. Disillusioned, he decided to separate good and evil so that no more would die from their endless fighting. Calling upon his vast magical powers he formed two dimensions, one for good and one for evil. They still existed on the same world, only on parallel dimensions.

Knowing that a world of pure good or pure evil could not exist, the Avatar of Light created seven portals connecting the two worlds, allowing a small amount of light into the dark world and vice-versa. Never wanting the two worlds to intermix again, the Light Avatar surrounded each portal with powerful magical barriers. However, as he had already consumed massive amounts of energy to create the two worlds, and still had one more important task to complete, he could only ensure one of the worlds could be completely blocked from allowing entry to the other. Fully aware of the danger of allowing evil into the Light World, he concentrated all of his efforts into making the barriers from the Dark World to the Light World impenetrable, but was careful to ensure the light barriers were well protected.

With his mission almost complete, and his energy reserves dangerously low, the Avatar of Light still faced his most difficult task. Needing more energy than he possessed in order to successfully complete his final mission, the Light Avatar made the ultimate sacrifice and gave up his physical life for that of a more powerful form of pure energy. Leaving his weaker human body in the land of light he transformed into a shimmering form of pure white magical power before ascending to the heavens and into the dimension known as the Aether, a spirit realm and source of all magic as well as the creative force of the Avatars themselves that surrounded and intertwined the mirror worlds. Knowing he could not allow the Avatar of Darkness to wreak more destruction upon either land, he used his last remnants of energy to imprison the Dark Lord for eternity, trapping him inside a powerful circle of light energy within the Aether, from which the Dark Avatar could never escape.

Exhausted, the Avatar of Light was pleased, yet saddened, by the extreme measures he had taken to finally bring some kind of peace to Elysia. Having taken one final sweeping gaze over Elysia's two new worlds, the Avatar of Light faded into the Aether, falling into a deep sleep, content in the knowledge that should he ever be needed by the people of his new Light World, he had left them with the tools needed to awaken him from his slumber. He only hoped that should this time eventuate, he will have recovered enough of his energy to help his people in their time of need...

Elyra, The Light World

The Light World, known to its inhabitants as Elyra, is peaceful and prosperous. The land contains several regions, each with their own unique histories dating back to a time when Elyra was said to be in a constant state of turmoil. Many stories have passed down through the generations telling of powerful magical beings who led armies of unimaginable scales which eventually changed the course of time and history in the land. These tales have evolved through centuries in such a way that no one really knows whether there is any truth to these legends, though most believe them to be nothing but fairytales.

Ruled over by the Royal Family who are rumored to be direct descendants of the Light Avatar of Legend, the people of Elyra are content under their leadership. Queen Isara is highly revered and well respected for the devotion she shows toward her people, and though most believe there is no truth to the whispers of her magical ancestry, there are those who wonder. For if it is true, and Elyra is a world of peace and happiness created by the Avatar of Light, then it is possible the rest of the story is true as well, and nobody wants to believe that a land as perfect as Elyra can possibly have a mirror world of darkness and misery.

Recently however, there have been sightings of people and Pokémon of such evil that more and more of Elyra's inhabitants are looking deeper into the legends of the Avatar of Light and the Avatar of Darkness which has led to some interesting discoveries. Seven magical crystals are said to be hidden in the land, each able to unlock the magical barriers surrounding secret portals separating Elyra from its mirror dimension, with an eighth portal said to contain magical powers beyond anyone's comprehension. If the legend is true, and only those from the light realm can travel to the dark, the only way the introduction of new evil into the land can eventuate is if someone from Elyra has already crossed over, leaving an opening for evil to return. With more and more people beginning to believe in the legend, there are those who wish to see the dark realm for themselves. Today, the hunt for truth has begun...

This sanctuary is home to the rarest and strongest Pokémon in the land, all of whom would be extinct if not for the care The Master has taken to revive their species...

Auron Village
A quaint little village resting at the foot of Empyrean Mountain, the residents of Auron Village are often feared by the general population of Elyra due to reports of them worshiping the dead. While guarding the Shadow Temple had been entrusted to them many generations ago, the fact they are surrounded by death has resulted in them having a great deal of respect for life. Surrounded by ancient magical energies and filled with history providing a direct link to the Avatar of Light, Auron Village is a highly spiritual area where the balance between life and death is perfectly harmonized.

Areas:
Village Common: The central area of Auron Village. Homes and shops are nestled together, providing this close-knit community with all they need for everyday life. Surviving off the basics, most travelers find the village to be rather primitive, but as the Auron's are well-aware, not everything is always as it appears...
- Sub-Areas:
- Missy's Inn: A small inn located at the far end of the village, overlooking the cemetery. Few dare to stay here as they fear reports of phantoms wandering the halls day and night. Even the innkeeper, known as Missy, seems a little strange...
- Wishing Well: A well which is the source of drinking water in Auron Village. There are rumors of a long-lost chamber beneath the well, but since nobody has ever found an entrance to this hidden room many believe it does not exist.
- Clock Tower: More than your average town clock, this structure was designed for a specific purpose. Protected by an enchanted padlock, getting in is the first phase of your journey. Once inside, the spiraling staircase holds many challenges to face as you make your way to the top where it is said a gate to the past will be revealed...
- Empyrean Gate: This gate leading to the Empyrean Mountain trail is guarded by a strange old man. Speak to him, and he may be able to provide you with a clue. Though he tends to be rather cryptic, his advice is well respected.

Shaman Arenas: With the Aurons having close ties with the magics used by their shaman ancestors, the Shaman Arenas focus on the knowledge of the elements passed down through the generations. Cunning and skill are needed to pass these trials, so you'd best be prepared...
- Sub-Areas:
- Earth Arena: A 50ft x 50ft grass arena with one lone, ancient oak tree standing in the middle. Mystical energies surrounding the tree prevent it from being harmed by fire attacks.
- Fire Arena: A 50ft x 50ft dirt arena littered with patches of hot coals. In the centre is a small, shallow pit which randomly spews a blazing pillar of fire lasting anywhere from 2 to 5 seconds.
- Wind Arena: An enchanted 50ft x 50ft wooden platform suspended 100ft in the air. The magical energies surrounding the platform create winds of varying intensity.
- Water Arena: A 50ft x 50ft pit filled with water. Four platforms rise out of the water, standing only 2ft above water level, spaced 20 metres apart in the centre of the pit.

Though they will not allow travelers to breed Pokémon here, if you provide them with a Pokémon they require for breeding purposes, you will be rewarded.

Empyrean Mountain
Empyrean Mountain is an active volcano towering hundreds of metres above Auron Village. There are many trails, caverns and even rumored reports of a city hidden away somewhere on the mountainside where many of the strongest Pokémon reside. The volcano is prone to regular mini eruptions which cause small bursts of lava to spew forth from its summit but there hasn't been a devastating eruption for many generations. It is said that after these mini eruptions, many more fire and lava type Pokémon appear.

Areas:
Empyrean Mountain Trail: Leading up the mountainside from Auron Village is a long, steep path which will eventually take you to the top of the volcano. Many people travel along here so the Pokémon who dwell in the area are used to travelers and will not run away. That is, until you reach the uppermost portion of the trail. Few hikers make it this far so the Pokémon dwelling at the top of the mountain are very protective of their environment and will do anything to make you leave.
- Sub-Areas:
- Rollers Road: The lowest part of the mountain trail, rocks of all sizes constantly roll down this narrow section of the path to the village below. Some even say they aren't rocks, but Pokémon...
- Forsaken Cavern: A strange cave sitting halfway along Rollers Road, between Auron Village and the Open Plains. A mammoth boulder blocks its entrance, so large that not even a Steelix is able to smash it. Wonder what's inside...?
- Open Plains: A beautiful, open field where lush foliage grows. Many Pokémon native to the mountain inhabit this area. Most are used to travelers and will not run when approached, but some are more territorial, guarding the city laying beyond...
- Bridge of Illusion: A stream creating a natural barrier between the Open Plains and the mysterious Granite City has only one bridge which needs to be crossed before you may enter the outskirts of the city itself. Seems simple enough...

Granite City: A city built into the mountainside that Fighting type Pokémon call their own. There are rumors of precious metals and stones buried deep within the rocks and as a result the Pokémon who inhabit this city are wary of travelers.
- Sub-Areas:
- Ares' Colosseum: A large colosseum on the outskirts of Granite City. Weekly tournaments are held with small prizes, but every so often there is a large tournament hosted, which trainers from all over the world flock to for fame, fortune, and a very special grand prize...
- City Limits: Few humans dwell in the immediate vicinity of Granite City, but there are several scattered shops and homes situated outside of the hidden mountain entrance. Speak to the villagers and you may receive a quest.
- City Centre: Inside of the mountain is a massive city, home to hundreds of Rock, Ground and Fighting Type Pokémon. They roam freely as they are not afraid of humans, but try to capture one and you could end up in more trouble than you'd bargained for...
- Wrestling Ring: In the middle of Granite City is a huge wrestling ring where Fighting Type Pokémon battle it out for superiority amongst their ranks. They tend to look down upon "tame" Pokémon, believing that any of their kind who allow themselves to be captured and raised by humans are beneath them. Enter at your own risk - this is a rough tournament so you'd better think twice before taking part.

Spitfire Jungle: The extreme humidity this far up the mountainside has turned this stretch of woodland into a tropical jungle. Volcanic rocks often spew from the gaping crater above so it's quite common to see small fires breaking out during Empyrean Mountain's frequent mini eruptions, but because of the dense moisture they rarely flare into anything too threatening. Approaching the area by air is more dangerous than traveling by foot, but rumor has it the rewards at the end of the journey far outweigh the risk. Only the hardiest of Pokémon reside here, and they are not fond of visitors...
- Sub-Areas:
- Path of Peril: The uppermost portion of the mountain trail leading from Granite City to the mountain's peak. This is the quickest way to reach the Empyrean Summit, but being so open to the elements it offers no protection from the molten rocks often raining down upon it. Most prefer to avoid the path, choosing instead to detour into the jungle itself. Either way, reaching the mountain summit is an extremely perilous journey.
- Hot Springs: Due to volcanic activity, most freshwater streams and pools of water have formed into hot springs. Nice for a relaxing dip when it's not raining molten rock. Many natural herbs grow in the area, giving some of the springs rather unique effects.
- Sealed Door: A door carved into the rocky wall of Empyrean Mountain. Inscribed with ancient markings, no one knows what is beyond it...
- Empyrean Summit: Survive the last stage of your perilous journey up the mountain trail to reach the Empyrean Mountain Peak - a charred and rocky landscape where only the toughest Pokémon reside. From here there is only one direction to go - down into the scorching depths of the Empyrean Mountain Crater...

Empyrean Mountain Crater: Extremely rugged and very hot terrain. So hot that Grass Pokémon will faint within a minute of being released from the protection of their Pokéballs. The last devastating eruption some 200 years ago left a mammoth crater on the mountain peak and due to the constant volcanic activity has become a haven for Fire Pokémon. Trainers tend to be drawn to the area due to speculation of a valuable stone holding mystical powers being located somewhere within the depths of the crater.
- Sub-Areas:
- Lake of Fire: A lava pit so large that it can only be referred to as a lake, Fire Pokémon tend to congregate here to bask in its warmth.
- Nesting Grounds: A secluded area, the Nesting Grounds are home to many families of different Pokémon. Be careful here, though, as the Pokémon may think you are invading their territory, and become very hostile.
- Crystal Caverns: A large cavern deep inside Empyrean Mountain. The walls in here are covered with mystical rubies said to be where the Flame Ruby was first forged. The magical energies that emit from the crystals tend to attract mystical Pokémon but to get there you must first survive the perils of Empyrean Mountain...
- Fire Temple: A mysterious tunnel cleverly hidden away deep within the crater. It is guarded fiercely by the Pokémon here, and what is inside has yet to be discovered...

Mt. Glacier
Mt. Glacier, due south of Empyrean Mountain, was once an active volcano like its sister, but has been extinct for many centuries. Due to the lack of volcanic activity in this region, Mt. Glacier has become frozen, it's snow capped peak prone to regular snow storms after which it is said many Ice Pokémon roam. While the lower mountain regions are lovely to explore, the harsh weather conditions upon its summit deter most from traveling too far. Those who have heard the legend of Maiden's Peak however, are willing to brave the harsh conditions as they believe they will be rewarded should they set the mythical maiden free...

Areas:
Glacier River: A river flowing down the mountainside and out into Elyra Field, this water is so frigid you wouldn't dare swim in it. Not much of a fishing spot for your regular Water Pokémon, but many others love to bask in the sunlight upon its grassy banks.
- Sub-Areas:
- River Banks: Many Pokémon come here to drink from the cool waters of Glacier River and relax upon its banks.
- Glacier Trail: A grassy trail leading up the mountainside. The Pokémon here are used to travelers and usually won't run when approached.
- Onyx Fissure: Beneath the clear water a hole can be seen, darker than the riverbed itself. No one knows how deep it is or where it may lead, as the few who have entered have never returned...
- Log Cabin: A small cabin sitting at the top of Glacier Trail. A strange old hermit lives here. If you do something for him, he may give you something in return...

Exira Village: The village that the maiden of legend is supposed to have come from. Its inhabitants are skilled at battling with Ice Pokémon, and have a natural resistance to the extreme cold.
- Sub-Areas:
- Frigid Lake: A large lake that the people of Exira draw their water from. Large chunks of ice float, often creating stepping paths for curious travelers.
- Ice Rink: Where the top Ice Pokémon trainers of Exira Village train, few outsiders are talented enough to be accepted into this elite arena.
- Ice Cavern: A large cavern deep inside Mt. Glacier, revered by the inhabitants of Exira Village. The walls in here are covered with mystical diamonds said to be where the Arctic Diamond originated. The magical energies that emit from the crystals tend to attract mystical Pokémon but to enter you must first prove to the Exirans that you're worthy...
- Secret Passage: A long forgotten underwater tunnel leading from Exira Village to Silver Lake. Even if you do find it, you'll need a Pokémon with Dive to use it.

Wintry Tundra: Picture postcard perfect in every possible way, this breathtaking stretch of mountain is always covered in snow. Beauty is only skin deep however, as this area of Mt. Glacier holds some very dark secrets...
- Sub-Areas:
- Snowstorm Plateau: A large expanse famous for being under an almost permanent snowstorm. The falling snow and the endless frost on the ground cause even the most cautious of travelers to be lost.
- Freshwater Rapids: This fast flowing river is so wild that even those Pokémon native to the area steer clear of its shore.
- Ice Mirror: Legend says that this mirror, formed naturally by a rare form of ice, reflects the true nature of your soul.
- Avalanche Valley: This mile long valley is the final stretch of journey from Exira Village to the Mt. Glacier summit. It takes very little to set off the tons of snow covering the mountainside. If you don't have alternative transportation, you'll want to make the journey through here as quickly as humanly possible...

Maiden's Peak: Legend says that on the eve of what would have been Mt. Glacier's imminent final eruption, with the ground trembling and noxious fumes wafting from the crater, a young girl living in a village on the mountainside wished desperately to save her friends and family. Traveling to the mountain summit, she begged the God of Fire to save her people. Aryle, The Dark World

The Dark World, known to its inhabitants as Aryle, is full of danger, magic, mystery and ancient mythical creatures. The land contains several regions, each with their own unique histories dating back to a time when Aryle was said to be a more peaceful place. Many stories have passed down through the generations telling of powerful magical beings who led armies of unimaginable scales which eventually changed the course of time and history in the land. These tales have evolved through centuries in such a way that no one really knows if there is any truth to these legends, though most tend to believe they are.

Ruled over by Lord Razon, an evil man who claims to be a direct descendant of the Dark Avatar of Legend, the people of Aryle live in a constant state of terror. Lord Razon shows no mercy for his subjects and rules with an iron fist, his complete lack of compassion for humans and Pokémon alike combined with his personal army who roam the land ensuring his minions stay in line for fear of the consequences, creating an underlying need for rebellion. Many wish to escape his tyrannical rule, for if the legends are true, and Aryle is a world of darkness and misery separated from its mirror world of peace and happiness, then there is hope for Aryle after all.

Recently in Aryle, there have been sightings of people and Pokémon whose natures are so much more pure than that of any seen before. These travelers tell of a better place, a land of peace and prosperity that those in Aryle can only dream of. Believing these travelers to be the answer to their prayers, many residents of Aryle are quick to befriend them in the hope of being able to travel to this land of paradise. Lord Razon has other ideas however, for as soon as a stranger is identified in the land, his guards are quick to imprison them and they are never seen again. Can this mean that Lord Razon is hoping to conquer the mythical land of light? Most of Aryle's residents can only hope this will never happen, for if it does then all hope for their future is lost...

- Sub-Areas:
- Carrion Lane: A treacherous road leading to Hellfire Crater that countless people and Pokémon have lost their lives on. It is said you cannot step anywhere without being above buried remains.

- Sealed Door: A door carved into the rocky wall of Empyrean Mountain. Inscribed with ancient markings, no one knows what lays beyond...
- Hellfire Summit: Survive the last stage of your perilous journey up the mountain trail to reach the Hellfire Mountain Peak - a charred and rocky landscape where only the toughest Pokémon reside. From here there is only one direction to go - down into the scorching depths of the Hellfire Mountain Crater...

Hellfire Mountain Crater: Constant eruptions have left most of the lava inside Hellfire Mountain exposed. Most cannot stand the heat of the lava, but the strongest Fire Pokémon who reside here.
- Sub-Areas:
- Heart of the Inferno: A bubbling lake of magma is the centrepiece of Hellfire Crater. When its level starts to rise, you'll know the next eruption is on its way. Better run, because you really don't want to be here when it happens...

Mt. Everice - Bluff of Vengeance
Centuries ago Mt. Everice was an active volcano identical to its sister, Hellfire Mountain. Today, it is a monument to one of the greatest legends known to the people of Aryle. Though they fear their great ruler, Lord Razon, it is he who had saved them from a fate worse than death - the Ice Queen's curse of eternal life encased in ice. It is now harsh and rugged terrain, swept with never ending snowstorms and the fiercest of blizzards, mostly centered around the mountain summit where the Ice Queen's curse was cast. There are some who doubt the truth of this legend however, and are willing to brave the wintry harsh conditions of Mt. Everice in an attempt to unearth the dark secrets it holds...

Areas:
Ice River: Once a long and free moving river, this waterway has long since frozen with only a section at the very bottom of Mt. Everice being water. It is cold even there, though many Pokémon will stand the temperatures for a chance to drink from the fresh, crystal clear water of Ice River.
- River Banks: Many Pokémon come here to drink from the cool waters of the Ice River.
- Snowflake Trail: The path up Mt. Everice, named so for the snowflakes that are constantly falling upon it. Compared to the rest of the mountain, temperatures here are fairly mild.
- Onyx Fissure: Beneath the clear water a hole can be seen, darker than the riverbed itself. No one knows how deep it is or where it may lead, as the few who have entered have never returned...
- Abandoned Cabin: An old, decaying log cabin, whose residents were frozen from the Ice Queen's curse. However, if you enter this cabin upon the eve of the curse being cast, it is rumored its icy inhabitants will come to life, revealing secrets lost in time...

Icebound Village: A village whose inhabitants have been completely frozen for centuries, no person has ever come to claim the land. Thus, many Ice Pokémon have formed a sort of colony, using the Icebound Village as their home.
- Frozen Lake: A lake that is frozen on the surface all year round, cold-loving water Pokémon live underneath the sheet of ice.
- Ice Dome: A dome of ice covers this section of the lake. Built by Ice Pokémon to keep humans out, the toughest of the colony battle here for superiority. Prove that you are worthy, and you may just be invited to take part in the ice battle of a lifetime.
- Mystical Cavern: A cavern feared by the Ice Pokémon who dwell in Icebound Village, it emits strange mythical energies which attracts those Pokémon with only the blackest of hearts.
- Blocked Passage: A long underwater tunnel connecting Mt. Everice to Black Lake. But first, you must find a way to get through the ice now blocking the passage.

Permafrost Plain: A large, frozen wasteland, barraged by constant blizzards. Even some Ice Pokémon find it too cold here, and few travelers have ever braved the danger.
- Blizzard Mesa: A large mesa that is besieged by an endless blizzard, even the strongest of eyes cannot see past several feet. Powerful Ice Pokémon are abundant, but the risks may not be worth the rewards...
- Floe River: Large floes of ice cover this once raging river, giving the impression it is solid. Better watch your step if you intend to cross though, for the ice is known to shift quicker than the blink of an eye...
- Ice Mirror: Legend says that this mirror, formed naturally by a rare form of ice, reflects the true nature of your soul.
- Snowslide Valley: The final obstacle before Vengeance Peak, avalanches are extraordinarily common, often being set off without provocation.

Vengeance Peak: Legend tells of an evil sorceress who sought to rule Aryle. Tracked to the mountain summit by Lord Razon, a fierce battle involving the darkest of magic took place. For twenty straight days the two fought on until, fatigued, the sorceress could battle no more. Using her remaining energy she cast a dark curse, intending to freeze all of Aryle for eternity, but being so weak the curse only affected the immediate vicinity. The mountain peak is now engulfed in a never ending snowstorm, with strong blizzards keeping even the bravest of travelers at bay. With this curse of vengeance, the legend of the Ice Queen was born.
- The Ice Queen: A frozen statue in the shape of a beautiful young woman. The snowstorms surrounding this statue are so strong that you'll need more than willpower alone to approach it. Legend has it that should you free her, she will reward you with treasures beyond your wildest dreams.
- Hot Spring: The only area of Vengeance Peak to have been untouched by the Ice Queen's curse, the few Pokémon who still inhabit the area often come here in search of warmth. On the eve of the curse however, strange events are rumored to occur...
- Icicle Cavern: A large cavern in the most rugged area of Vengeance Peak. Unstable stalagmites and stalactites adorn the interior, with the temperatures reaching sub-zero levels of below fifty degrees. It is filled with many cracks and crevices, the ground extremely slippery due to being covered in a permanent sheath of ice. No one knows just how deep this cavern goes as it has never been fully explored, but loud roars are often heard echoing from deep within, deterring even the bravest of trainers...
- Frozen Temple: An ancient temple encased completely in ice. Shadow Pokémon are said to roam within, but you must first find a way inside...

Death Valley
In the western region of Aryle is a great desert, home to the most evil of the lands eight temples. Fraught with danger, navigating this harsh terrain is easy compared to the tasks you will face as you travel deeper into the area. "Survival of the fittest" is, quite literally, a motto to live by...

Areas:
Oblivion Trail: Rock and Ground Pokémon live on and around the cliffs surrounding this winding trail which leads into the heart of the valley. The cliffs are rumored to have once held many caverns where some of the rarer Pokémon could be found, but the rocks are now so unstable that no one dares to climb them.
- Sub-Areas:
- Repose Walk: The unstable cliffs towering hundreds of feet above Oblivion Trail are home to many strong Pokémon who are renowned for attacking unsuspecting travelers on sight. Speed is the key along this stretch of trail, as lingering can cost you your life...
- Terminal Plateau: Beyond the tall cliffs lays a vast plateau which has become a nesting ground for Pokémon indigenous to the area. Even the youngest Pokémon are unfriendly, wouldn't want the meet mum and dad...
- Reaper Canyon: A deep, deep canyon with a fast-flowing river hundreds of feet below. The trails that once led down the cliff side are long since eroded making the area next to impossible to explore.
- Nirvana River: An extension of Ice River, this fast-flowing waterway winds through the base of Reaper Canyon before trailing off into the distance. The frigid water temperature and large ice floes make it that much more difficult to cross, deterring most from trying.

Desolate Fortress: An ancient prison, initially built to lock away the most vicious criminals in the land before being turned into an asylum for the criminally insane. The Desolate Fortress was abandoned several decades ago, but in recent years has been taken over by a rogue band of ill reputed trainers. Few dare to travel here now, as the rumors of violence and torture make even the bravest of trainers wary of roaming too close to the site.
- Sub-Areas:
- Desecrated Citadel: An imposing structure built on the edge of the Haunted Wasteland. Rumor has it this ancient prison was erected upon sacred land. As a result, many bizarre events have taken place here, driving even the most rational of minds past the point of sanity...
- Blood Arena: An abandoned colosseum where constant battles are fought for the entertainment of the people residing in the fortress. It is said that the ground is permanently red, stained by the blood of those killed here...
- Asylum: A dark, underground floor in the Fortress, this is where the most insane of all criminals were taken. There are many rooms, but be careful which ones you choose to enter. The few who have dared to go near it come back terrified, screaming that they can hear the maniacal laughter of patients left there…
- The Labyrinth: An underground maze where only the bravest of trainers are sent in order to prove themselves. It's inhabited by strong Pokémon and an unknown mysterious Pokémon that is stronger than them all. If trainers make it out alive they're celebrated as heroes, if not... :/

Haunted Wasteland: A large desert beyond the Desolate Fortress. Said to be guarded by the dead to protect the sacred area beyond, you'll need your wits about you if you decide to travel through here.
- Sub-Areas:
- Sinking River: A river of quicksand said to be responsible for the unusually high number of disappearances in the Haunted Wasteland. You'll need more than a sharp mind to surpass the danger this obstacle presents...
- Nightmare Oasis: An oasis in the Haunted Wasteland that is avoided by all but the most careless travelers and Pokémon. Its cursed waters are said to plunge people into an endless sleep, plagued eternally by the darkest of nightmares...
- Guardians of Time: Three ancient statues stand in the middle of the desert. It is said that if you complete a special task, they will reveal a secret path.
- Shifting Sands: A small area deep within the Haunted Wasteland, the sands found here are constantly shifting. Because of this, the magic that the sands emit distorts time itself, causing those who wander near to be trapped in the past or future...

Eidolon Domain: A secluded area on the far side of the Haunted Wasteland. The dark energies emitting from this special place are so strong that you can feel the vibrations upon your skin. The epicentre of magical energies in the land, many people are attracted here hoping to unearth the secrets laid to rest centuries ago...
- Sub-Areas:
- The Cursed Ruins: The ruins of an ancient city whose name has been lost in time. Said to have been cursed centuries ago, few dare to wander the area for fear of the evil Pokémon residing here.
- The Obelisk:: Rising out of the rubble of a long-forgotten ancient landmark is a damaged tower so tall it appears to touch the clouds. The spiral staircase passes through each floor of the tower where challenges must be passed if you wish to proceed to the top, where it is said the greatest prize awaits...
- Nefarious Triad: Three ancient pyramids, black as night, each inhabited by Ghost, Dark and Shadow Pokémon respectively who are guarding a special relic inside. It is said that if all three relics are united in a special place, a new world will be revealed.
- Daemonic Temple: An ancient temple of darkness overseen by the High Sorceress Lilithia, the Daemonic Temple is the epicenter of dark magic in Aryle. Quests are given to those who are willing, with the reward for the hardest quest being given permission to access a special chamber within the temple where it is said a very special item can be obtained.

Black Lake
In a secluded southwest corner of Aryle, the dark and silent Black Lake has earned its name from its ink black water. Few dare to travel here as the many shrines located in this area have led people to believe the lake is cursed. The recent discovery of an ancient underwater culture has begun to attract people to the area however, for rumor tells it was concealed by the Light Avatar of Legend as a prison to keep the evil within locked away for all time...

Areas:
Waterfront: Black Lake has become a haven to some of the darker Pokémon of Aryle. Deserted for so long, it has turned into a breeding ground for some species, making them extremely territorial of their land.
- Sub-Areas:
- Reaper's Bridge: A long suspension bridge leading out to three small islands in the centre of the lake. The old wooden planks are rotting away, with some having fallen off years ago. Try crossing if you're feeling lucky, but you may be better off finding another way out to the middle of the lake if you wish to visit the shrines.
- Deserted Shack: An old deserted shack sitting on the edge of the lake. Quiet during the day, but a hive of activity at night. Only the bravest of trainers attempt to enter this place after sunset...
- Toxic Bank: A small section of the lake, these shallow waters attract many Qwilfish and Tentacool. How or why these Pokémon have appeared is a mystery.
- Concealed Passage: A long underwater tunnel connecting Black Lake to Icebound Village. To find it, you must first survive the perilous journey of this inky black underwater world...

Trinity Islands: Three small islands positioned in the shape of a triangle sit silently in the middle of the lake, each containing a shrine in recognition of their respective deities. The people of Aryle rarely visit the lake for fear of being affected by the curse which has supposedly been cast upon it, though recently a mysterious group of worshipers have been seen paying homage to the shrines...
- Sub-Areas:
- Inferno Island: Named for the shrine to the God of Fire in the very center of the island.
- Cosmos Island: Named for the shrine to the God of Space in the very center of the island.
- Chaos Island: Named for the shrine to the God of Destruction in the very center of the island.
- Apocalyptic Shrine: A small, isolated shrine in the very center of the Trinity Islands. Doing something to each of the islands is said to activate the magical powers of the shrine.

Daemon Fountain: A small area branching off the main lake. This area is so silent it makes your skin crawl. The murky black water of the small pond contains mystical energies, attracting extremely rare Pokémon.
- Sub-Areas:
- Unholy Shrine: A partially destroyed shrine to the God of Storms blocks the path leading to Enigma Cave. The inhabitants of Atlanta are said to have put a curse on the statue to ward off people seeking to enter their city.
- Obsidian Path: A path leading to Enigma Cave made entirely of a midnight black gemstone. Powerful Pokémon roam the area, enchanted by the mages of Atlanta to protect the city from intruders for all eternity.
- Enigma Cave: A small cave set into the stone wall between Black Lake and Daemon Fountain. Its walls are covered with black sapphires, their mysterious dark energies attracting evil Pokémon...
- Serpent's Cavern: A deep underground cavern filled with water. Legend says that the Water Serpent that resides within guards an ancient secret.

Atlanta: An ancient underwater city, surrounded by a magical dome that keeps the water around it out. Its existence having become common knowledge in Aryle only recently, the inhabitants do not like outsiders so don't expect a warm welcome...
- Sub-Areas:
- Asylum Cove: The entry point of Atlanta. Advanced technology has created a unique security system which guards Atlanta's entrance. Getting through here with your sanity intact is only the first stage of your journey into this ancient world...
- Accursed Hall: An ancient stronghold of dark magic created by the ancestors of the inhabitants of Atlanta, thousands of scrolls containing prophecies of doom are said to exist within.
- Battledome: The inhabitants of Atlanta pride themselves on their advanced fighting skills. Prove yourself through battle by winning each round of this hazardous tournament and they may grant you permission to explore their ancient world.
- Drowned Temple: A temple concealed in the water outside of Atlanta that houses a cursed crystal which is said to be the source of the dark magic generating the dome protecting the underwater city.

Zone Rules

This zone is unique in many ways and as such has special rules attached to it. They're easy enough to follow, but keep in mind that if you choose to enter this zone your Pokemon can be killed. This means they will be permanently removed from your team. Be very sure you're willing to take that risk if you choose to enter this zone.

Twilight Realm Rules
- You cannot, under any circumstances, begin your adventure in the Dark World.
- For access to the Dark World, specific tasks need to be completed which you will need to figure out for yourself. Your updator can guide you to a point, but they can by no means lead you through each step of the journey in the order needed to travel. Being full of rare and powerful Pokémon, Aryle is extremely difficult to enter.
- The starting point for adventures is the Elyra Port. If you do not specifically state where you would like to go from there, you will be slowly led through the port and then out into the field.
- Unlike other zones, you cannot begin in the middle of an area. From Elyra Port you will then enter Elyra Field before traveling to the area of your choice. You will begin from the first sub-area listed in that area, working your way into it and then through it. For example, to get to Mt. Glacier's Ice Temple you must start on the Glacier River, working your way through all of the areas to reach Maiden's Peak where the Ice Temple is located. To travel to Empyrean Mountain you must travel through Auron Village. There is no need to stop and explore if you don't want to, but seeing as the Empyrean Mountain Trail starts in the village, you cannot bypass Auron Village if you wish to travel there.
- Some areas have no specific order of adventure but no matter where you decide to go you will always enter it in the first sub-area listed. The two mountains obviously require you to travel upward, so you must make your way through them as you would if you were traveling up a mountainside in the real world.
- If you do not reply to three consecutive updates without a valid reason and have not contacted your updater regarding your absence, you will be automatically removed from the zone and your position will go to somebody else. If you do re-enter at a later date, you are not guaranteed to receive the same updator and will need to restart your adventure. Some TR ZA's may decide to lower the restriction to two updates, it's their call, but the maximum is three.
- Remember that there's always a chance of death in this zone, so always think before you act and try not to annoy your updators.

General Rules
- Please reply using size 1 font.
- When entering the zone, please use the TR's Introduction colour of "orange".
- No less than six (6) lines when replying, and by six lines I mean six complete lines of text. Not three or four words before hitting the enter key and writing another three or four words. Decent and articulate sentences are a must.
- No chat speak. No abbreviations. No icons/smilies. Type properly or your post will be ignored.
- Please proofread posts. It's not only a great way to check for errors, it's also an excellent chance to see if you can expand upon/improve your reply before submitting.
- Unless otherwise stated, ALWAYS quote your update by using the quote button in the bottom right-hand corner of the post. Please do not c/p your update or you will be skipped.
- Basically, all rules listed in the Arcane Realm as well as basic common sense.

Re: The Twilight Realm

Standing on the deck of the boat, looking over the railing at the vast seas ahead, a teenage boy, approaching the age of sixteen, wonders what new adventures await him at his destination. He had heard rumors about the area almost everywhere he had adventured, about its vast wealth of diverse cultures, habitats, people, and most importantly, Pokemon.

At his feet, a deep blue and tan weasel-like creature slumbers away, basking in the warmth of the afternoon sun on the clear, cloudless day. Remembering back to the day that Stephen had received his starter and partner Pokemon as a Cyndaquil, and then how it evolved in a fierce battle in the Cloud Garden, Stephen smiles as he looks upon the resting Pokemon, and the formidible battler it had become, its resume even boasting the defeat of a gym leader. Now, it would be his partner Pokemon for this new journey to this new land of Elyra.

Among the rumors that Stephen had heard is the claim of a dark, partner world to Elyra, sometimes referred to as Aryle in the conversations. Tales of this area always included death, destruction, and doom. While the area surely piqued his interest, it soon became clear that the journey to the dark world is long and treacherous, and Stephen was not sure if it had ever even been completed before.

Tales of another area also gained Stephen's interest, though it isn't as though such a thing is hard to do. There is said to be a door with seven keyholes somewhere in the depths of the area dubbed the "Forest of Mystery," in which trials, torments, and great rewards lie. Having procured a travel brochure, Stephen's heart sank as he learned that the location of the keys is still a great mystery. This temporary setback was shortlived: the mystery isn't going to solve itself, and Stephen is as good as any to solve it.

In the distance, at the horizon, the signs of land begin to spring from the flat, sparkling sea. Drawing closer and closer, the railing seemed to attract people from the boat as a magnet, there suddenly being crowds of people attempting to catch a glance of the new land, of which they would all be visiting for the first time.

Awaking in the commotion, Quilava sluggishly gets up, and begins to move toward the railing to see what was so amazing. Not seeing the fire Pokemon on the deck below, a man's foot treads extremely close to Quilava's body, though contact is averted as the flames on Quilava's back erupt into life, sending the man toppling backwards and falling out of shock.

"Here, Quilava," Stephen says, recalling the fire type into its Pokeball to prevent it from setting someone on fire. While he really wouldn't particularly care what happened to the person, (as it was likely their fault) Stephen really didn't want to get in trouble with the ship's management. The red laser shoots from the Pokeball and transforms the Quilava into transparent red, before sucking it into the Pokeball. Pressing the recall button in order to reduce the ball down to its minute size, Stephen attaches the ball to his belt, and heads to the ship's unloading area.

Soon after, Stephen finds himself on the Elyra Docks, surrounded by the others that had made the journey on the boat, tourists and trainers alike. Taking a deep breath of the salty, sea air, Stephen steps forward, ready to begin his new journey in the new land of Elyra.

Re: The Twilight Realm

Finally, he was here.
Standing at Elyra Port, countless people around him, Lee, for a moment of thought all the places he had travelled so far, the people he met, the battles he fought, the Pokemon he encountered on the way..all these journeys shaped him and his Pokemon to what they are now. However, somehow he felt that his biggest adventure was yet to come..and he felt that he would find it here, in Elyra.
Taking a closer look at the town stretching befote him, he noticed that it had more of a medival look to it than the other cities he had seen. Lee decided to let his Pokemon take a look at this new world as well, unclipped their Pokeballs from his belt and released them all - Isaac, his trusty Ivysaur and starter Pokemon; Guts, his mighty strong Geodude; Najid, his proud Arcanine; Mekhet, his stunning Pidgeot and Nuray, his dashing Jolteon.
All of them gazed in awe at the town and the whole new world lying before them, and looked up expectantly at their trainer.
Lee smiled at them, and returned them to their Pokeballs again. After taking one final look back at the vast ocean behind him, he set out to look for the gates leading out to Elyra Field. A whole new world lies before the young trainer - and he is eager to explore it.

Re: The Twilight Realm

Eon stepped off the docks, the cool breeze swirling his hair. Eon took a deep breath, taking in the sounds, sights, and scents of this new land. He couldn't wait until he could explore this magical new land.

The thing that interested Eon most was what had brought him to Elyra in the first place. Legends of a dark world parallel to this one were abundant. Ever since he had first heard of them, he had wanted to find this new world. Although the legends said it was full of evil and powerful Pokemon, Eon was not afraid. He knew that he would be able to face whatever was thrown at him.

Eon had studied Elyra extensively to try and find where the portals might be. Although there were many rumors, no one knew for sure. Eon had decided to start his search in Silver Lake. If he couldn't find the portal initially, he decided, he could always read through the books and scrolls in Hallowed Hall to try and find a clue.

Eon released Dawn and Mirage, his Espeon and Misdreavous, respectively. Dawn slinked around his leg, while Mirage floated near Eon's head, both excited to be a part of the journey. Eon, smiling, began to walk out of the port to Silver Lake to begin his search for the path to Aryle.

Re: The Twilight Realm

Finding himself in the strange land of Elyra, Joe was awestruck at the size of it. Looking through his map, he couldn't believe just how many places he had a chance of visiting. But, alas, he was never good at making decisions, so almost instantaneously, he grabbed one of my his Pokeballs, and through it to the ground, at which is broke open in a flash of light, light which cleared to show a Ninetales, who began to look around this new place.

"Kyuubi, as you've done many times before, guide me to somewhere," Joe said, which brought a sort of "Gawd, typical" look from Kyuubi's face. Nonetheless, she wandered over, and stared down at the map at which Joe had somehow gotten a hold of. After about five minutes of reading EVERY place description, Kyuubi poked her paw down at one place, quickly followed by another. "Hmm, the Haunted Woods or the Lost Woods, eh? Got a thing for forests?"

Deciding to flip for it, Joe took a coin from his pocket and threw it into the air, heads for Haunted Woods, tails for Lost Woods. The coin dropped back into his palm, revealing a head, and confirming where their adventure would take place. "Okay then, guess that means we're off to Haunted Woods. Out of all the areas there, I say we should go to the Radiant Garden. Agreed?" he asked, and Kyuubi shook her head, before being returned to her Pokeball by Joe, before he clipped it back on his belt, and set off on his journey.

Re: The Twilight Realm

Stepping off the boat and onto the Dock of Elyra Thed looked at the hustle and bustle of the place. "Gee, sure is busy around here..." Thed said as he looked around. "Hope the rest of Elyra isn't like this or how am I ever gonna get anything done." Suddenly his belt jiggled and Thed lifted up his aloha shirt. His pokeballs with semi-clear tops showed that his pokemon were anxious to see this new world. "Heh, guess I better choose someplace to go, huh guys?" With that all of his pokemon roared/chirped/said thier pokemon name in unison.

"Alright, alright I didn't think we were in that much of a rush." Thed pulled out the massive map of Elyra and walked off to the side to lay it down on the ground. There were many places to go and the descriptions were enticing for each area. "Hmmm... this Forest of Mystery intrigues me..." Thed said aloud to himself. "Even more intriguing is this Forbidden Forest. Guess I just picked our first destination guys." Thed unclipped one of his pokeballs and released his behemoth dinosaur Tropius, Coconut. "Let's see if we can find this Forest of Mystery Coconut and see if we got what it takes to pass those 7 trials." Coconut roared like he always did for everything and Thed climbed atop his back. This should definitely be interesting... Thed thought to himself as Coconut roared his usual roar.

Re: The Twilight Realm

The huge liner sits silently at the Elyra docks, a few scant trainers disembarking excitedly as they ready themselves for a grand adventure. A furry paw scrapes along a wooden floor, veiled in dark shadows. A head turns to the sound of beating wings, and a human head nods in the darkness.

"J,T,A, in position. Let's rock this place!"

With a devastating roar and a burst of speed, Tessie the Arcanine leaps from the boat, Joshua screaming in joy on her back. Arren the Crobat dives after them, an anime-style sweatdrop almost glued to his brow as he struggles to keep up with the swift Arcanine.

Tessie's paws barely touch the ground before she continues, Joshua sitting comfortably along her furry back. Arren uses a burst of speed to land on Tessie's shoulders, and Joshua smiles at him. His thoughts drift to the map that he'd studied in the cabin, and he thinks aloud.

"We need to go from here to the Elyra field. From there, hopefully we can find someone who can direct us to Incura Valley, so we can head to the Astral Enclave, and then to the Spirit Temple." Tessie nods silently, and Arren beats his wings softly to keep his balance as the fiery canine speeds her way to their destination.

Re: The Twilight Realm

Stepping off the ship that has brought her to Elyra Port, Dani can't wait to get away from it. She doesn't like being confined to small places for a long time and gets bored quickly when all there is to do is look at the ocean for hours at a time. Luckily she'd had a brochure about the Laramie family to read on her journey that kept her busy for some of the trip and after reading it she is impatient to visit the famous ranch and see how good their Rapidash really are. She knows they can't be better than Amber and wants to show them they're not the only ones who can raise these beautiful and majestic Pokemon into the best they can be. She does want to learn from them though, and that's another reason she wants to go there. If there's anything she can do to make Amber better and stronger she'll do it, and use what she learns to raise Comet in Ambers footsteps.

Free of the ship Dani releases Amber, feeling proud to see her beautiful Rapidash emerge like a radiant angel from the fire ball she lives in. Amber's creamy torso and fiery mane make Dani's heart burst with pride every times she sees her and all she wants to do is show her off to everyone whether she knows them or not. Amber's big brown eyes look at Dani questioningly after she sees where they are and Dani smiles, patting Amber's soft nose and muscular neck.

"We're going on an adventure Amber" she says. "We're going to visit a family who are famous for raising the best Rapidash in the world. None of them will be better than you, but I'd like to see why everyone says they're so great. Are you in?"

Amber whinnies softly, nudging Dani with her nose, and Dani laughs. "Let's go then! We're not going to see anything interesting in this smelly place!"

Fanning her hand in front of her nose to show how much she hates the foul odour of the dead fish being sold all along the docks, Dani climbs on Ambers back. "Out to Elyra Field!"

Holding on tight while Amber gallops at full speed out of the port, Dani enjoys the feeling of the wind blasting through her hair and is excited to at last be setting out on a brand new adventure.

Re: The Twilight Realm

Arriving on the bustling dock of Elyra Port, Xander is in no hurry to set out and explore this new land. He has heard stories of Elyra, but what has intrigued him recently are the new twists in the tale telling of it having a dark mirror world. The legends appear farfetched, but his curiosity has led him here so he can discover the truth for himself.

Releasing Kecleon to keep him company, Xander walks out of the port area toward Elyra Field. His new teammate has never had the opportunity to adventure, so Xander is content to take his time and allow Kecleon to enjoy his newfound freedom and take things at his own pace whilst taking pleasure in traveling an unfamiliar region.

While he has no particular destination in mind Xander is certain he will eventually travel to Incura Valley, an area to have captured his interest from the day he'd heard of it. For the moment, he is happy to go wherever the tide takes him and is looking forward to the adventures that lay ahead.

Re: The Twilight Realm

Inferno steps off the ship that has brought him to the strange new land of Elyra. He looks at his map, wondering which way to go to get to Empyrean Mountain. Elyra is a big place and there are a lot of interesting places to visit, but Inferno needs to catch more fire pokemon for his team and the fire mountain is the best place for him to find them.

He hears a loud chirp above him and looks up to see his Swellow flying overhead. She had wanted to fly next to the ship on their way here and Inferno let her go because she's been trapped in her pokeball for too long. She looks happy, and flies down to land on his shoulder where she likes to sit when they walk on their travels. Walking into Elyra Field with Swellow on his shoulder, Inferno is already looking at the top of Empyrean Mountain hoping it won't take a long time to get there.

Re: The Twilight Realm

OOC: Hope I'm doing this correctly.

The Twilight Realm sparked Ricco's interest for a long time. Two worlds being mirrored from each other was good enough of an investigation. His mission put a spine tingling feeling in inside of him. In any case, he decided that his first path would be in Elrya Field. His arrival at Elrya Port was safer than expected. He looked around and wondered where to go next. He saw various fishing areas, as well as a main dock for commercial ships. In any case, he decides that he'll look around and see what this place is like. He soon grips his Pokeball and throws it in the air.

"Come on out, Kaio!" he said as he launched his Pokeball in the air.

Soon a Marshtomp comes out from the Pokeball as it happily smiles at Ricco.

"Isn't this place amazing?" Ricco said. "Let's see if we can find somewhere to stay. Perhaps get information about this area, too."

"The three made their way through the town, hoping that they'd find somewhere worth of interest. He decided it'll be best if he looks around the docks for information on where to go next.

"All right, Kaio." He said. "Our first mission is to get information about the legend itself. Don't go too far off, though. Okay?"

"Marshtomp!" Kaio replied.

The two make their way across the dock, hoping to get an answer.

Re: The Twilight Realm

Aero Kistre walked off the boat into the Port of Elyra, Xype (his Murkrow) on his shoulder. He pushed his way through the herd of trainers flooding the main street. He planned on leaving the bussling port. After a few minutes of shoving and Xype clinging on to not be taken by the crooks waiting for an oppertunity, they found the expancive fields. After wandering a few hundred yards more from the city, Aero sat down with a map and released three other pokemon on his team: Wind the Pidgeot, Gale the Swellow, and Epona the Ponyta.

"Okay," started Aero, "this is a very large and very spirtual land with many myths ripe for discovery. Most are searching for the mirror world, but I have an even more grand idea. Any guesses?"

Wind stuck his right wing in the air, chirping out what could translate to "Aether".

Aero nodded, "Yes, and if what I heard is right, there is also an eighth gateway, though it is said only seven connect Elyra to its mirror world. The problem is that no one knows where this gate is. So what we need is information. And where better than-"

"The Astral Library!" finished Gale.

"Good, you get is. So, we're off. Mind if I hitch a ride, Wind?" finished Aero as the Pidgeot shrugged. He returned Xype, Gale, and Epona to thier pokeballs and got on Wind's back. With that they took of to the Astral Library of Atrea, and to adventure...

Re: The Twilight Realm

Wow it has been a long time since I've done any Pokémon adventures. Your awesome Pharaoh, Yami Ron returns to Fizzy Bubbles and will bring Lady Bakura, my shiny female Sneasel, along for the ride.

Lady Bakura - Shiny Female Sneasel (Active) (Level 23) w/ Bullet Seed, Swords Dance, Substitute, Dig, Cut, Surf, Strength, Flash, Rock Smash, Torment, and Nightmare
I found Lady Bakura in the dark caverns of Comet's Corner in Cloud Garden while Eric and I sought for Eric's brother Jay, the Ursaring, and the Clefairies who left a Cleffa behind by mistake. After a few agonizing days, we were able to rescue Jay and get Cleffa back to her bretheren, who surprisingly ended up with Eric, who despised her originally. As for Lady Bakura, she was a little hesitant in joining the Millennium crew, but during the cavern adventure, we grew close and fought wondrous battles in rescuing everyone. So she happily joined the team soon after.
Wearing: Lucky Rabbit's Foot and Millennium Ring
Lady Bakura is the sixth Pokemon to possess a Millennium item. She wears the Millennium Ring around her neck. The Millennium Ring doesn't enhance any of Lady Bakura's current special or physical abilities.

Well, that was a long cruise, however, we've finally made it to the Twilight Realm, Lady Bakura. Let's see what all the hype Tessie has been speaking about these last few weeks is all about. We better take it slow at first and find work before we adventure off to those far away lands. So let's go check out the Warehouse Alley and see what types of jobs are available and see what you might be interested in, Lady Bakura. We could always use a little bit of training to get our hearts pumping!

Elyra Field - Please reply in lemonchiffon
S_M: Arriving amidst the hustle and bustle of the thriving Elyra Port, you wonder how a land as highly populated as this could have remained off the radar for so long. Though Elyra is a popular tourist destination, it has only in recent months been attracting more than the usual number of travellers. All that aside, today is an excellent day to have begun your new adventure. The sun is shining strong, and the salty sea air drifting in from the open ocean has a pleasant feel to it. The cries of Wingull and Pelipper can be heard all around, some circling overhead waiting for a chance to steal their favourite treats from one of the many stalls on the docks selling freshly caught seafood while the more daring risk being crushed in the crowd to scavenge for titbits dropped by careless merchants and customers. While there are several places to visit in the port area, your interest lays elsewhere. Turning toward the main walkway leading out of Elyra Port, you begin your journey into Elyra Field where thoughts of the Forbidden Forest fill your mind.

Several minutes later, leaving Elyra Port behind, you emerge into a large expanse of open plains. You had an idea that Elyra Field will be huge, but its sheer size causes you to take a moment to reflect upon your preconceptions. The field is beyond massive, and as Elyra's central hub of activity, highly populated. You only now realise it will take a good half day to reach the forest, but in the meantime there is no harm in enjoying a stroll through the field. Men, women, children, and Pokémon roam the vast acreage. Families are picnicking everywhere, trainers are engaging in friendly battles, couples are strolling hand in hand, travellers are referring to maps or asking for directions from the locals. In the distance you see two enormous mountains, one with steam wafting from its peak creating the faint outline of a smoky ring hovering in the air above it, the other seeming to be surrounded by an icy haze. These are of little interest to you however, as it's the dense shadow of the Forest of Mystery to your right which has caught your eye.

Heading toward the forest, you are distracted by the angry cries of a child. Noticing a young boy standing beneath a tall tree stomping his feet and shaking his fist, you can't help but be amused.

"GET DOWN NOW!" he yells, his rage causing his face to turn a startling shade of red. "Get out of this tree or I'll not give you any SUPPER!"

Taking a closer look, you see a rather distressed Persian laying on a tree branch at least twenty metres from the ground. Judging from the expression on its face, the boy isn't responsible for the look of panic in its eyes, but you're sure the child isn't aware of that as his anger appears to have caused him to overlook the fact his kitty isn't simply playing a game of 'catch me if you can'. Whatever is going on here, its more than meets the eye...

Several minutes later, leaving Elyra Port behind, you emerge into a large expanse of open plains. The field is beyond massive, and as Elyra's central hub of activity, highly populated. These are of little concern to you however, as it's the attraction of Silver Lake which has your interest.

Following the signposts you head off toward the lake with Dawn and Mirage by your side. Their presence is drawing the attention of quite a few curious eyes as these kinds of Pokémon are far from common in Elyra. You are not fazed by this however, instead feeling a sense of pride in your team whom you have earned through hard work and determination. Having strangers see the bond you share with them now can only reflect well upon you, but you can't help but be a little nervous by the disturbing gaze of a man on the trail ahead whose eyes have a greedy sheen to them. While he walks toward you, his eyes fixed upon your Pokémon, your guard goes up while you prepare for the possibility of trouble. You're quickly distracted though as the excited voice of a young woman comes out of nowhere.

"Billy!" she cries, and before you know it you're swept up in the embrace of a beautiful girl of around eighteen, her long dark hair, clear complexion and sapphire blue eyes causing a confusing array of emotions to override your defensive system. Planting a kiss on your cheek, she behaves like someone who has known you for a lifetime, and you're beside yourself wondering how to react.

"Go along with me," she whispers in your ear, confusing you even more. "Act like you're happy to see me and give me a hug".

"I can't believe you're back!â" she continues, this time loud enough to be overheard. "I was beginning to think you'd never return but here you are! It's so good to see you!"

Out of the corner of your eye you notice the strange man has diverted from his course, now travelling away from you, but whether or not you should comply with this beautiful young woman's wishes and pretend you're long lost friends is something you'll have to consider very quickly if you are to keep up this rather bizarre and highly confusing charade...

With several places to visit in the port area, you're happy to allow Kecleon to take the lead and explore at his own pace. When reaching a section of path that veers off into two directions, Kecleon appears a little confused, looking up at you for direction. One path appears to lead toward Elyra Field, and the other toward Diamond Beach. This is his journey as much as yours though and after giving him a few moments to decide he eventually sets off toward the beach, seemingly content to investigate everything he sees on his way. You walk slowly behind to allow him the freedom to explore while he takes a great deal of enjoyment into looking into every nook and cranny he can find.

Upon reaching the beach, Kecleon veers off toward the warehouse district but is soon startled when he comes face to face with a Spearow scrounging around for food scraps behind a large pile of crates. The Spearow doesn't appear too happy to have been disturbed and squawks territorially, flapping its wings threateningly before darting toward Kecleon and bowling him over. Keclon is looking confused, wondering what he's done wrong, while Spearow is looking angry. Spearow doesn't seem to be wanting to go anywhere though and faces off against Kecleon. It appears Kecleon may have his first battle ahead...

Re: The Twilight Realm

Man, long time no RP.

Rayne wasn't usually this anxious, and he did well to hide his overwhelming excitement. Ever since he heard of Elyra, the land of light, he had been captivated by the thrill of the upcoming adventure. Now it was time, the deck master had come down to the barracks only a few minutes earlier telling Rayne that they would dock at the port within hours. He was excited, but by looking at him you'd never know. He slowly packed his bag, neatly made his bed and made sure everything was in order. After a quick mental check he stepped out of his room, slowly shit the door and made his way to the staircase which would lead him to the deck.

He had been on this fishing vessel for last two weeks, and had only barely managed to pursuade the captain to let him on; funny how a little psychic trick from a cute little Vulpix could make even the hardiest of men change their minds in an instant. He wasn't well liked on the boat he realized. Everyone seemed to think he was some kind of voodooist, but he payed them little attention. All in all the trip wasn't that bad. Sure the food wasn't perfect, and who cares about the loud crain's ability of disturbing one's sleep. He decided he would have rather taken a cruise, but "in these dark times, not many cruise's set out for Elyra" he was told. He shrugged the thought away and stepped onto the deck; swiftly remembering why he was so eager to stay in his room the whole time. The deck smelled like dying fish, and a bunch of hulky fishermen elbowed him as he walked past. He simply smiled back, kicked the flailing Magikarp and walked past them, towards the steering room.

Whenever he had to deal with the captain, Captain Ziggs, he made sure he looked as formidable as possible. In one fluid motion he snapped two pokeballs out of his belt, the light revealing the pokemon to be Drought, his Vulpix and Obsidian, his Houndour. With his other hand he pulled the hood of his black cloak over his face. The three of them managed to scare the captain into letting them board, and Rayne was wise enough to keep the charade going.

"I heard we'll be harbouring soon." Rayne called out, the minute he spotted the captain, smoking a cigar as always. He didn't look at Rayne, simply nodded. Both of them wanted to be rid of eachother's presence, that moment would come pretty soon. "As promised ..." Rayne tossed a bag towards the captain, his payment. Again the captain didn't move, so Rayne just turned around and with his two canine companions walked out onto the deck.

Withing minutes the shore came into view, and with it what looked like a massive coastline city. Under his hood Rayne was smiling wide at the sight. As if by just looking at the city his mind was filled with light and excitement. The two pokemon also seemed excited. Rayne looked down at the two, smiling all the while at how perfectly these two complimented eachother.

"Well then. We're here. Now it's time to see what we can learn about these mysterious appearences." Rayne was refrencing the sightings of the people from the Dark World, the reason he was so attracted to this place. He needed to find this place out, and see how different it was. "I was talking to one of the guys, and he kept talking about some temple that was hidden within a volcano's crater. He wouldn't talk much," He winked, knowing it was due to Rayne's reputation. "But I think the Fire Temple in the Empyrean Mountain Crater should be our first destination. We'll see if we can hear anything in the city and fields that are beyond." The two pokemon nodded, and then continued in their little game. In a few minutes the three of them would make pace for this temple he thought, or maybe change courses depending on who they talk to. Regardless, he was anxious to get going. But by looking at him you'd never know. How truely lucky he was that his little mysterious facade worked. The thought of another trip on the back of his Sharpedo didn't sit well with Rayne.

Absol, however, cries out as the Counter hits him with double the force of his attack, which is doubled itself because of his Fighting weakness. Panting but still looking cocky, Absol looks at Maxie, who jerks his head slightly. Absol slinks slowly backwards, next to his trainer. Bobble watches him curiously, wondering what he is up to. Maxie looks at you, his eyes somehow both burning with anger and cold with hate. "Your Pokemon are strong. I can see I will not win this battle. Not without my real team." Pausing, he looks at you again. "It's a pity you are our enemy. You could have been an invaluable member of Team Magma. Ah, well. Fate has dealt us our fortunes." You stare at him as he smiles almost serenely. Almost instantaneously, the expression is wiped from his face, and it is cold and hard again. "Absol!" he snaps. "Stall these pests. They may have ruined our plans here and at our other base. But, I suppose, there are always the Shadow Pokemon. Delay them for as long as you can. Razor Wind then Bite!" With that, Maxie disappears into the shadows, leaving only you, Bobble, and a very mean-looking Absol. What will you do now?
OOC - SPPf stopped being evil and I stopped being lazy. Continuing my Adventure from Fizzytopia. <3

As Bobble established his protective shield, Jessica shifted to stay as close as possible with Ralts in her arms, hoping to reduce the amount of energy the Wynaut would require to create the shelter. The Absol screamed as he swung his blade in a full circle, causing a sudden gale to whip throughout the room. Fortunately, the dome had been founded in time to defend all of its occupants from the storm, and as the wind died down, so did the shield. The dome melted away, and the Wynaut proceeded to wrap himself in a thin scarlet aura, preparing to face his opponent's next attack. The Absol was already on the move, and rapidly raced the distance between the two, thrusting his weight against the blue creature. To his surprise, the target remained planted, and the Absol was sent flying backwards instead. Performing a flip in mid-air, he landed expertly on his feet, panting but still proud. He glared at the Wynaut, before turning to his trainer to seek advice. With a frown, the Magma leader jerked his head to the side, and his Pokémon obeyed unquestioningly, tiptoeing delicately to stand by his trainer.

Throughout all this, Bobble kept his eyes on the stealthy wolfish Pokémon, anticipating some sneaky maneuver. The Absol, however, only feigned disinterest, whilst his trainer stared at the Wynaut's trainer with a look of pure hate. "Your Pokemon are strong," he admitted grudgingly, "I can see I will not win this battle. Not without my real team." He paused for a moment, studying her intently, and she began to feel a bit nervous under his gaze. "It's a pity you are our enemy," he mused. "You could have been an invaluable member of Team Magma. Ah, well. Fate has dealt us our fortunes."

Jess stared at the man, utterly baffled by those words. Her? A Team Magma member? She wasn't sure whether she should have considered that to be a compliment or not. She shifted her weight anxiously, and Maxie smiled coolly. A second later the smile vanished from his face, his mouth tightening into a thin line again. "Absol!" he commanded, "Stall these pests. They may have ruined our plans here and at our other base. But, I suppose, there are always the Shadow Pokemon. Delay them for as long as you can. RAZOR WIND, then BITE!"

With those orders, he turned on his heel and was swallowed up by the darkness, leaving the girl alone with the Pokémon. The Absol snarled and grinned, having now received his instructions, and began softly padding towards the small party. Jess frowned and bit her lip, backing up a step from the terrifying creature. Her mind was still racing with what Maxie had said. Shadow Pokémon? She thought she'd heard of them before, but she knew quite little other than they were evidently dangerous. Right now though, they had their own monster to deal with. She turned to her Wynaut, who was angrily staring down his opponent, and started to issue new directions.

"Bobble, let's quickly use a ROCK TOMB to trap Absol before he can attack. Then use THUNDER to hopefully make the rocks cave in on him."

Re: The Twilight Realm

Hope I'm not intruding or anything. ^^;

So a new day begins...

As a river of passengers depart from a huge boat into a long, friendly dock, one certain young female stood out from the crowd, thanks to her vivid violet hair and a big purple butterfly resting on her head, winged with a delicate snow-white hue. The young creature, with her large scarlet eyes, scanned the area, excitement flowing in her blood. As the young trainer broke off from the crowd, the Butterfree took this opportunity to leap into the air, circling around the dock, enjoying the gentle salty breezes from the ocean. Underneath, Andrea sighed with a smirk across her face.

"Lilac, get down here or you'll get lost at the dock!" Andrea shouted at her Butterfree. Lilac, though a bit disappointed for landing so quickly, obeyed her trainer, now perching on her shoulder as Andrea located a bench, sitting on the warm wood as she giggled still from Lilac's enthusiasm. The female couldn't blame her, after all; this was the first time Lilac was able to be outside her Pokéball and into a vast world where both Pokémon and people roamed.

This fact led now to the choices of where to go in the land of Elyra. Andrea briefly got to chat with a passenger previously about the different locations in Elyra. She was informed that there was a lake, forest, some mountains, villages, a ranch, and even a city with a queen, though Andrea couldn't remember the name of the ruler. Nevertheless, this wasn't worrying her now; what was worrying her was the many options of places that seemed to just be screaming for her and her Butterfree.

"So many places, so many choices" She muttered.

At first, Andrea was considering about some of the more mysterious places that she knew contained dark, deserted qualities places, but she realized that this wouldn't be a great place for Lilac to have her first adventure. After all, she was still fairly young, and her movepool was very limited. So, with that in mind, Andrea knew such places as the valley, forest, or mountains wouldn't be so much of a smart move.

This idea narrowed the options down immensely and now only a few struck Andrea's curiosity. As people passed by the pondering trainer sitting on the bench with a big butterfly perched on her shoulder, she desperately tried to think of any good excuses to go to this place or go to that place.

"They do have a city, you know..." Andrea started to consider. "Atrea, I think it was called. They have many places to go to. They even have a huge castle with a queen dwelling inside. I think it wouldn't be a bad place to go and have fun, would it, Lilac?"

Hearing the news of a city filled with exciting attractions, the Butterfree squealed as she circles around her trainer again in an eager matter, obviously agreeing with the idea of heading into a wondrous place where Lilac could roam free.

"It's been decided, then. Off to Atrea City!" Andrea declared with an adventurous smile, departing from the dock as Lilac once again landed on her head. Trying to navigate through the throng to get to Elyra Field, Andrea started to mull over about where to go after they arrive in the city...

Elyra Field - Please reply in lemonchiffon

Sylar: Setting off on your Journey through Elyra, you decide, with Kyuubi's help, to head for the Forest of Mystery area, specifically the Haunted Woods. However, the journey there is long, and at first you need to make your way through Elyra Field and the vast Forest of Mystery
Walking at a rather slow pace through the town, you gaze at the people, Pokemon, buildings, simply everything around you - it all has some kind of medieval touch to it, unlike the other regions you have visited so far. Dockworkers are using Machokes to carry around cargo and materials, merchants let their colorful Pokemon advertise for their shops, and nearby, two trainers are having a friendly battle with their Lotad and Haunter, respectively. Smiling at this scenery, you're slowly leaving the port area, and the big main gate leading out into Elyra Field comes into sight. Stepping through it, you can't help but be amazed by the sheer size of the plains stretching before your eyes - rolling plains, lakes, trees, small settlements as far as the eye can see - and there, at the eastern horizon, you can just barely make out a huge forest area; your destination, the Forest of Mystery. Heading towards that direction, you set foot into Elyra Field, wondering what will await you here.
...
By now, the sun is slowly starting to set - you've been on your way for several hours already, and nothing really exciting has happened yet. The Forest of Mystery has come closer though, but judging from the distance to it, you're not gonna make it there today. Just as you start wondering where you could sleep tonight, you notice somebody walking towards you - as the person comes closer, you notice that it is a guy about your age, and judging from the Pokeballs on his belt, he's trainer as well. Having an extremely furious look on his face, he notices you as well, looks at you and says "Hmph. What's wrong with you?"
You can only stutter "Er.." as the guy goes on, saying "Well, I got some advice for you - see that guy over there?"
You look over his shoulder, spotting a man standing about 30 feet away.
"Whatever you do, don't battle with him - he offered me some assistance, under condition that I beat him in a battle; of course I accepted, but in the end I got rolled over and defeated. And if an ace like me can't beat him, some whimp like you certainly can't either."
Casting you one last estimating look, the guy passes by you and walks away, mumbling something around the lines of "Sucker" and "This can't be right".
Shrugging at this, you approach the man who apparently beat him. He's about thirty, tall, has jet-black hair, stubbles and wears a yellow parka along with camouflage pants and overall. Grinning at you, he greets you "Hello there fella! I don't know what the shrimp over there told you, but anyway - if you are going in this direction, you can only have one goal - the Forest of Mystery, and no offense, but you're gonna get horribly lost and kick the bucket there. So, being the nice guy that I am, I'm gonna offer you my help - the Woods are practically my homeground, so I can guide you and assist you with whatever you want to do in there. It's all free of charge, too - I just need to test whether you are fit to even go into the woods. So all you gotta do is beat me in a Pokemon battle; simple, eh? Now, what do you say?"
Grinning at you, he takes a Pokeball out of the pocket of his parka, and releases the Pokemon within - a fierce looking Hitmonlee.
"If you've got the guts and are clever enough and listen to me, accept the challenge and make the first move - but you can also chicken out and explore the forest yourself, if you're that eager to die.."
Looking at you with a grim expression on his face, the man awaits your answer.

thed3: Having arrived in Elyra Port, you take your time to decide which area to explore first, and settle with the Forest of Mystery. Releasing Coconut, your trusty Tropius, you hop on his back, and the creature starts flapping its leafy wings, taking off to the sky above Elyra Port.
Coconut is flying rather low above the port, giving you a chance to take a good look at it - from above, you can see dockworkers and their Pokemon, various salesmen, Pokemon facing each other in battles and other trainers, heading towards Elyra Field just like you. Grinning at the fact that, due to being on your Tropius' back, you're moving at a faster pace than they are, you lean back to relax a bit, letting Coconut navigate you towards the Forest of Mystery. Lying flat on his back, you lazily watch the clouds and the rising sun above you, and slowly, still tired from the long journey on the ship, you fall asleep..
You wake up some hours later and, after yawning thoroughly, you look at the area below you. You're still flying on Coconut's back above Elyra Field, passing rolling plains, small farms and settlements on the way. Curious to know how far your destination is still away, you look straight ahead - and are alarmed by something moving very quickly directly towards you and Coconut. You're about to tell your Tropius to dodge it, but it's already too late - whatever that thing is, it's moving really, really fast - and by the time you've opened your mouth to alarm Coconut, it has already crashed into you and your Pokemon, sending you flying off of Coconut's back and down towards the ground. Quickly falling downwards, you close your eyes, pray for the best and brace yourself for the imminent impact - seconds later, you land with your butt first on something pretty soft, leaving you completely unharmed. You blink, and slowly open your eyes - only to see that you've landed flat on a big mound. Just as you are about to wonder who or what made this mound or what became of Coconut and the unknown being that crashed into you, you feel that the mound below you is getting softer and softer, and just as you realize that you're slowly sinking in, the mound fully collapses, and you fall again - this time, not towards the ground, but into the ground. Sighing at the irony of this, you land flat on your stomach after having fallen about 8 feet.
Slowly getting up, groaning, but luckily only having suffered some minor bruises, you take in your surroundings - it seems like you've landed in a small underground cave, the ceiling being about 10 feet above you. The hole you fell in through is too high up to reach, and only a few open spots are left of it, letting a very small amount of sunlight into the cave. Realizing that you can't go back that way, you look around you - and see two tunnels in wall nearby. The left one is only about 3 feet high and 2 feet wide, meaning you'd have to crawl through it, while the right one is about 6 feet high and 3 feet wide. You have no idea who dug those or why there are two different tunnels in here, but you have to go through one of them if you want to find Coconut again, find a way out of this cave and eventually reach the Forest of Mystery. Now, which will you choose?

Looking at you with a grim expression on his face, the man awaits your answer.
Listening to the man's proposal, Joe had to think for a little while before even thinking about saying yes. If this other trainer was apparently beaten so easily, perhaps this trainer was really strong? Either that, or the trainer who was there just before was insanely weak, and just thought a lot of himself. Deciding that he didn't really want to end up dying in the depths of the Forest, Joe walked towards the man, and accepted his offer. Looking at the trainer's Hitmonlee, Joe wondered which of his Pokemon would be best suited to battling the kicking fiend.

"Lumiya would be the obvious choice..." he thought to himself. "But, I'd rather make a challenge of this and use somebody else. Ah, I know, she'd be perfect." Unclipping a tiny ball from his belt, he enlarged it, before tossing it into the air, the ball seemingly exploding in a shimmer of light. Out of the ball flew a magnificent dragon, with her first actions being that of breathing a stream of fire into the air above. "Woo, Liza! Right, we're gonna be battling this guy here, and he's gonna be using his Hitmonlee. It looks pretty strong, but I'm sure you can beat it if you try your best." Replying with a roar of early triumph, Charizard affectionately smothered Joe with flames. "Er...yeah, thanks. Okay, as soon as the battle starts, let off a Smokescreen. After that, fly straight through the smoke towards Hitmonlee, and use a Wing Attack. Finally, fly up a couple of metres, and fire a Flamethrower straight down at it. Got it?" Charizard nodded, and flew down to the ground, preparing to start the battle.

"You got your fight, mr trainer dude. My Charizard's more than a match for anything you can throw at her," he said, probably too confidently. Liza let off a Chari-laugh, as Joe waited for the opposing trainer to make his move, and get the battle underway.

Great... Just freaking great..." Thed said aloud as he picked himself up and dusted off his aloha shirt. He tried to piece together the events that had happened to him ever since he got to Elyra.

After just arriving at Elyra Port Thed had decided to himself to head out to the Forest of Mystery to test himself and his pokemon in the 7 trials of the Forbidden Forest. He had called out his Tropius, Coconut, to aid him in getting to the forest. It had been smooth flying, so smooth that Thed had even fallen asleep as Coconut continued their flight. As Thed had woken up he peered down at the ground and saw many trainers walking through Elyra Field. He grinned to himself happy to know that he was essentially faster than the trainers on the ground thanks to his flying dinosaur.

About to ask Coconut how much further they had to go before reaching the Forest of Mystery Thed looked forward, but he noticed something... It was an object flying at an incredible speed straight towards him and Coconut. Before Thed could say anything in the blink of an eye he was falling towards the ground. He yelled at the top of his lungs hoping the end wouldn't be so painful. Luckily Thed was able to land on a surprisingly soft mound and he gave a sigh of relief. Suddenly he noticed that he was sinking and once again he was falling as the mound collapsed beneath him. Thed yelled again and he landed right on his stomach. Wincing a bit Thed got up...

"Now what to do..." Thed asked aloud. He looked up and saw that the ceiling was much too high for him to reach and the hole seemingly covered itself back up, although sloppily since there were small holes that light penetrated through. Thed then looked in front of him he saw two tunnels in front of him. One just small enough for him to crawl through the other just wide enough for him to walk through sideways. "Well I gotta get out of here somehow and I'd rather not dirty up my aloha shirt anymore." With that Thed proceeded toward the tunnel on the right hoping it would lead him back towards the surface so he could find Coconut and resume his journey.

Finding the curiosity of his young teammate to be refreshing, Xander follows Kecleon upon his explorations. Secretly pleased his young friend has chosen the scenic route past the beach instead of wandering directly into Elyra Field, his gaze travels toward the lighthouse and he makes a note to return here later in the day to look around. Trailing behind while Kecleon detours into the Warehouse District, Xander is highly amused by Kecleon's surprised reaction to the attack of the ferocious wild Spearow. Chuckling lightly, he encourages Kecleon to defend himself despite the young Pokemon's lack of battle experience.

"You are young Kecleon, but you have undergone extensive training. It's time to put it to the test and show this bully you are no pushover. Begin with Faint Attack, follow up with Thunder Wave, then give it a Scratch."

Paying close attention to Kecleon's reactions, Xander hopes his friend's first battle will give him the confidence needed for Kecleon to grow. While Kecleon has training behind him, he still needs the self respect and pride that can only be attained through winning a battle.

Lee's group - Update #2

Elyra Field - Please reply in lemonchiffon

Sylar: Faced with the unknown trainer's Hitmonlee, you decide to send out Liza, your Charizard, to battle it.
Upon seeing your Pokemon, the other trainer shouts out "Ha! Who would've thought a twerp like you has got a Charizard! Anyway, you made the right choice..now, let's see what you can do with that powerful Pokemon of yours!" The man gives out orders to his Pokemon, you give out yours, and the battle finally commences.
Liza starts out by taking a deep breath, and then lets out a big Smokescreen, which quickly covers the battlefield. Afterwards, Liza is quick to act again, as her wings begin to glow brightly white, and she dashes through the thick black smoke towards Hitmonlee. The Fighting type tries its best to spot Liza, but doesn't manage to do so, and in the end is hit dead-on by the Wing Attack. Having landed a direct hit, your Charizard stops after passing the smoke field, turns around and flies upwards several feet. Planning to burn her opponent to a crisp with her Flamethrower, Liza starts focusing her Fire energy..
..when suddenly, out of the smoke, Hitmonlee arises, and performs an incredible jump which sends it dashing right towards Liza. Reaching the maximum altitude of its jump right besides Liza, Hitmonlee grins and kicks her right in the face - a perfectly executed Jump Kick. The fire that Liza had already collected in her mouth gushes out, some of it hitting Hitmonlee and burning its upper torso slightly. It is not done yet however, as it turns around in mid-air and delivers another kick into Liza's stomach, which sends her crashing towards the ground. Luckily, she gets a hold of herself 8 feet above the ground, flips backwards and lands safely on her feet. On the other side of the field, Hitmonlee safely lands on the ground too, thanks to its amazing jumping capabilities.
This round didn't go quite as well as you planned, as Liza had to take two blows, which weren't too damaging, but still - Hitmonlee proved that it can keep up with the mobility of a Charizard. Overall, both Pokemon are nearly identical in both health and energy, so this battle is far from being decided yet. (the smokescreen is nearly lifted, by the way)
From the other side of the field, the trainer, whose name you don't even know yet, casts you a challenging look. What will your next orders be?

thed3: Trying your luck with the right hand path, you hope for the best as you step into the tunnel, and start making your way through it. Soon, the tunnel takes a sharp right turn, and then goes downhill for a good while. Observing the walls of the tunnel, you notice that there are claw marks on them..so this tunnel was definately made by something not human. Starting to feel slightly uneasy, you proceed, very cauciously.
After a while - must have been walking for half an hour now - you start to hear some noises, but can't quite make them out yet. Almost sneaking now, you go on, and the noises start getting louder and louder. You hear digging, roaring, growling..something tells you you're about to meet the creator of this tunnel soon. The sounds are clearly audible now; the tunnel takes another sharp turn - suddenly, your find yourself in a huge cave, and freeze because of what you see now.
In this cave are, together with you, dozens of Aron, Lairon and Aggron. They all notice you immediately upon entering their cave. Your heart drops into your guts as they all turn to you - some of them seem confused, others, mostly the small Aron, frightened, but most of them are just plain angry. You feel like you definately don't belong here, but you're just too frightened to even move. Suddenly, the biggest Aggron of them all steps forward from the crowd, pushing others aside, and towers before you - you guess that this must be their leader. You kinda expect that it is going to simply crush you, so you close your eyes and brace yourself - several terrifying moments pass...but nothing happens, so you blink and look at the Aggron standing before you. Surprisingly, it doesn't seem to be angry or furious at all; its look just seems to ask you:
"What are you doing here?"
Looks like you've been blessed with another chance - now, what will you do? Somehow make the Aggron understand what happened to you? Fight it? Escape through the tunnel you came from? Try to barge through the whole lot to the other side? It's your choice - how will you get yourself out of this tight spot?

Re: The Twilight Realm

Today's updates were brought to you by my need for a break from AP Test studying.

Joshua: Riding on Tessie and with Arren flapping around your head, you charge out of the docks and through the port, wind rushing around you, kicking up dust in your wake. You blow past the many people in the streets, eager to begin your adventure in the new world.

After several minutes, you reach the end of the port and find youself surrounded by tall grass. Realizing that you have reach the Avian Fields, Tessie slows to a trot. Arren rises in the air to get a better view while you and Tessie look around, trying to spot anyone nearby who can give you directions. Tessie contines to trot for almost twenty minutes, without you or either of your Pokemon having any luck. Frustrated, you are beginning to lose hope when Arren descends, pointing with one of his wings in westward. Squinting, you see a dark shape in the distance. Tessie trots closer as you decide to investigate and you soon find yourself in front of a small farm, with about a dozen people wandering around, each doing various tasks. Arren grins, pleased at having been the one to find people to ask directions for. What will you do now?

Lilbluecorsola: Absol releases another burst of stinging wind, which causes Bobble to flinch slightly. He remains unfazed, however, and slams his foot into the ground. Rocks burst from the ground, slamming into Absol. He manages to escape before it traps him, however. Racing up to Bobble, Absol Bites hard on him, the Dark move doing extra damage due to Bobble's Psychic type. Unfortunately for Absol, Bobble decides to release his Thunder right then. The yellow bolts of electricity surround Absol, the force blasting him away from Bobble, leaving him on the ground, unconcious. Level up for Bobble. You turn to Ralts. We should go, she says to you telepathically. The guards could be here any minute. You nod in agreement. What will you do now?
