I post a sincere post that is on-topic. I am then insulted (be it accidentally or deliberately) by Concept who accuses me of pedantry. I then inform Concept that I was being sincere, to which Concept rudely replies (and deletes said post) saying that if I am not pedantic then I am a fool. Others then show up to also beat on me, so I defend myself. What am I, a dog to be kicked when he's down? No. If you insult me, I will defend myself.

But when I do this very act, the same people who have launched the attack then label me the trouble-causer, accusing me of ruining Jeri's thread. Yet the facts are clear: and both Muyo and Kuno know this, hence their kind replies in support of my station. I was on topic, and Concept (followed by others) derailed this thread by drawing first blood, by slinging mud at me. It cannot be fairly said, "Talon's self-defense was the derailing moment." No, the derailing moment was the initial, unfair attack. And all subsequent attacks, as well. You have yourselves to blame for this derailing, not me.

Man, you have a massive hate hard-on for 4chan, especially considering I rarely go there for the most part. Did Moot rape your father? I'm also shocked at the casual nature of conversation here given that people on UPN call each other by their IRL names (including you: I wasn't aware we were on a first-name basis) instead of their forum handles. No, the argument started because you mistook the meaning of "baby mono," had the intent of the phrase clarified for you (by the thread starter, no less), and STILL chose to argue on untenable ground. Easy?

(1) Just try to keep it so that elements can't be repeated. (e.g. you can't have Water/Fighting and also have Fighting/Dark, or you can't have Grass/Dragon and also have Dragon/Ground)

(2) Keep the starter. Gives people an attachment to like.

(3) Pick three dudes you personally like.

(4) Leave the remaining two slots open to the combination of
(a) people voting for shit all the time in the chatroom and
(b) what you need at that moment (e.g. if you picked the Grass/Dragon starter and you don't already run a fighter, you'll probably want one for Drayano's Ice gym if I had to guess)

I dunno. Instead of making it too much of a science, let's just figure it out as we you go and we chat.

I believe that is what Talon is referring to. I find in a normal playthrough of Pokemon my team naturally changes quite a bit as the early pokemon start to lose their luster, I need different types for gyms, I need HM users (specifically fly and surf usually), or I get bored.
