Thanks Tess (and everyone else who answered my questions). Looks like most of what I said was redundant but the waiting list idea at least I hope can be implemented in the future. Will send a PM re: updating soonish.

I suggest the allowed Starters list be reviewed to accomodate for the reopening of registration. These following "rare" Pokemon are still forbidden and I'm not entirely sure they should remain that way, at least from my perspective as a player:
"Farfetch'd, Misdreavus, Tauros, Bagon, Tropius, Drifloon, Gible, Skorupi, Croagunk, Carnivine, Drilbur, Yamask, Solosis, Frillish, Tynamo, Litwick, Axew, Mienfoo, Druddigon, Golett, Pawniard, Bouffalant, Heatmor, Durant" Besides, with Gen VI implemented, there are likely more adjustments to be made.

I'm guessing the "unallowed starters because rare" list hasn't been updated here or on Serebii yet? Because as it stands right now, the most up-to-date version of that list, over on BMG, lists only the following; Ditto, Kangaskhan, Jigglypuff, Lapras, Porygon, Dratini, Larvitar, Beldum, Castform, Absol, Feebas, Spiritomb, Skorupi, Rotom, Sigilyph, Yamask, Zorua, Tynamo, Cryogonal, Bouffalant, Heatmor, Durant, Deino, Larvesta, Noibat. Near as I can tell, Drifloon is allowed as a starter.

If you haven't received your test yet then yes you can edit your starter. |

It also looks like the starters list on Serebii and BMG has changed regarding baby Pokemon - they can now be starters, but their evolved forms can't be.

Yeah, new members get a wallet containing 3,000 as part of their starter pack.

If I wanted to adventure in one of the zones on SPPF/Bulbagarden, or use the Bulbagarden Casino, what would I need to do in the way of proving my identity on those boards?

Oh, turns out I already did that.
I have absolutely no recollection of making that BMGF account (probably 'cause I must've done it ages ago), but it's convenient that I did. |

Suggestion: For pokemon battles, would it be possible to include a stipulation where pokemon can auto level up/down based on the stipulations wanted by the trainer?
Say, if I wanted to do a beginners match, could I have both parties capped at level 10 for example, which could we have either party auto level up/down? Similar to how it works in the games. Additional stipulations would be if they level down they do not gain 2 levels should they win. Pokemon who fall beyond the level bracket obviously should not be allowed to participate within the match. Thoughts? |

Just my 2Cs but I think we'd be venturing too much into PASBL territory by introducing a leveling up and down system.
Part of what makes FB what it is, is the challenge of raising your Pokémon and developing their personalities, and I think it should be something you should have to work for. There would be little incentive to level up your Pokémon if you could have them auto-leveled to lv.100 (which also sounds a bit unrealistic in the more 'lifelike' universe of FB). |

I seem to vaguely recall discussion about a shop for making custom Secret Base items. Is that still intended to be a thing?

So, with members having more than one character, how does Pokemon distribution go? Do all characters have 6 Pokemon party slots or 6 Party slots per member?

I'm pretty sure it's 6 party slots per members, not per character.
The idea of playing with extra characters is supposed to be for creative writing reasons, not exploitative reasons. There should be no benefit gained from having an extra character other than dialogue the two of them can have when together.

If I (the player) split my Pokemon between characters, it's complicated to explain from an RP standpoint why my Dark-Type character walks around carrying Levin's Volcarona. At first glance I don't see how different active teams exploits any game mechanics (it's only relevant for zone RP purposes), so I would think each character can carry their own group of 6 out of the pool of Pokemon the human player owns. This isn't an official answer, though.

Look who's back from the dead :x
So... someone somewhat tried, unintentionally perhaps, to use a revive on my FB activity and I guess it worked to an extend.
So some questions as I've been out of this for like almost 2 years or something, like thing I did was finishing that Gen 6 event. And I see I've missed a few things. 1) First off, after almost 2 years of inactivity, can I just pick up where I left off? 2) I regards to zones, Tess was writing an awesome story for me in the Arcane Realm when I disappeared (6 posts in) and I had written an opening post for 2 other zones, Cortoza and Phantom Isle, which both as far as my records show haven't been picked up. How do I go about that after 2 year? Is it possible to continue in the Arcane Realm, and "forget" the other 2 ever happened and start over? 3) I saw there are Pokédollars now, as older though long time inactive member, do I have a right to any starter cash like whats available for new members now? 4) I've tried to read up a bit on things but changes ar I missed something, so are there any big changes I need to be aware about immediately? Thanks in advance, and I hope to be back to writing really soon

Escalion! It's great to see you back! Lemme give your questions a shot.
1: Yes. 2: You can start over in the other zones. I think it's up to Tess as to whether you can continue your Arcane Realm adventure. 3: Yes. you can collect 3,000 Pokédollars to start your account if you joined before Pokédollars were implemented (new members now get 3,000 Pokédollars as part of their starter pack). 4: None in particular. Pokédollars are now the main form of currency in FB, and have replaced Coins everywhere except Secret Bases, the Berry Shop, and (of course) Coins for Prizes. They can also be used in lieu of Rare Candies basically anywhere that accepts/used to accept Rare Candies as payment. PC space restrictions are just the way they were before you left (50 slots initially + 1 for each level 100). There is a new Dream World zone over at BMG- oh, yeah, BMG underwent some serious overhauling. Any links you have for stuff from there will no longer work, you gotta convert them, they got all new forum software. All the old posts and stuff remain, though, so that's not an issue. Oh, yeah, and Mega Evolution is now implemented in FB. That's basically it off the top of my head. |

What are the requirements for Cloud Garden's Cloud Colosseum? In the few years I've been around I don't think I've seen a special event for entry.

Nothing really. When I was ZO Arn suggested I make it a special event area and hold the odd tournament there. I thought it was a good idea at the time but not long after handed the zone over without ever changing the area description. If CG updaters are happy for me to edit the description so that people can still explore the Colosseum just as they would any other area within the Cloud Garden then I'm happy to do it.

As far as I'm seeing, in the Pokétreats store, there's... not much of an incentive to make Poffins over Pokéblocks. It's, quite simply, just really easy to make Pokéblocks that give bigger boosts than any Poffin ever will. Could this perhaps be changed somehow? Maybe increase the numbers by which Poffins increase their respective Contest stats, or else give them some sort of advantage that Pokéblocks don't have (for instance, perhaps the possibility of using two of them in one week as opposed to using a single Pokéblock)? I mean, me, personally, I'm cool with getting the berries and making Pokétreats out of them and boosting my Pokémon's Contest stats, but I don't even bother with Poffins anymore because there's no real advantage to making them instead of Pokéblocks.

The only difference I can see from it is that a) poffins only need one Berry instead of needing multiple and b) poffins uses different berries than Pokeblocks do. It seems like the given rates are roughly the same as if you use a similar number of rarity of berries on normal Pokeblocks.
...but the fact that you can make better Pokeblocks using does kind of throw a wrench into it? Is it possible that different colors of Poffins could be introduced, in a similar vein to how Pokeblocks work? |

That's a fair point- almost forgot Poffins only require one Berry. That said, I do like the idea of being able to create different colors of Poffins, maybe even something that works like the Black Pokéblock, by having the option to use more than one berry when making Poffins.
