X Nuzlocke Chapter Two - Limiose Tales

I start this one off by diving straight into Route 4 and into the yellow flowers and SON OF A BITCH am I lucky as a Ralts shows her pretty mug... only for Jessica to critical hit it with Quick Attack and kill it. Fuck. My. Life. Unable to catch any 'mon this route I plow through the trainers angrily, evolving Lola into a Quilladin in the process and continue into Lumiose City. Having made it to Lumiose I decide to claim my Torchic... male and unfortunately I can't name the little guy. Sads.

Torchic: Incredibly well rounded stats, and with Speed Boost he'll make a hell of a Mixed Attacker until I get him a boosting move later.

I continue on to fight Professor Sycamore and win without any casualties. RNG says 3 so I claim Squirtle as my prize, nicely completing my Starter type trinity. Male so I name him Leo.

Leo: Another Defensive tank so that gives me two stallers on my team, resistances will work well to help stall with Leech Seed!Quilladin.

I continue with the basic story stuff since I can't seem to do much in Lumiose due to the blackout. I head out to Route 5 and run into Mr. Bonding on the way... too bad I won't be using O-Powers. Jump into the grass and find myself a Plusle. Decide to name her Gadget.

Gadget: A semi-usable Special Sweeper. High Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, and Speed. Think she'll be sticking around until something really good comes along.

I do a bit of grinding without continuing through the route, enough to evolve Leo and Torchic, end the session here and save.

How the fuck do I use Pokemon-Amie? There is literally no guide on the internet on how to access it. Am I really that retarded that I can't find it?

Most people assume that one can find it easily is why there's no guide I guess. I had some troubles finding it too at first. Anyways, after you catch three Pokemon, on the bottom screen there should be the PSS (Player Search System) to the top left and right corners there are some arrows. If you push the one to the right, I believe you'll end up in Pokemon-amie. If you end up in Super Training, then push the arrow again and Pokemon-amie'll be there.

Just beat the game fellas. My girlfriend and I happened to beat the Champion at the same time, so sharing with her what followed was really something else.

I don't know what I can say. God damn. I am just floored by the ending. Everything about it, perfect. That was just really emotional, and I wasn't prepared for it at all. The poem in the credits was beautiful, too. I wish I could go through the thread and see your opinions on how you felt about what followed after you beat the E4 - what's the general consensus? How were your feels? Because mine were all over the floor and all kinds of sad and happy all at once.

I think I can safely say... yes. I never thought I'd say it! But this gen... this gen has successfully, in my mind, toppled Gen 2 as my favorite gen. I can't believe I'm saying that. XY has successfully dethroned GSC, and I quite honestly thought that, in my mind, that was something that would never be done.

Game of the Year. Definitely.

It's not species-dependent, it's different for every Pokémon. No one's quite sure what determines it yet.

Just go train on hordes. Unless you're doing main game training, it's not worth the bother.

So, I have a 2DS and X. The 2DS I got because the 3DS and XL were just a mite too expensive. I was really dreading the 2DS, only getting it so I could have something that could play X. Started with Chespin, as I said I would basically from when it was revealed. Thanks to Wonder Trade, I got a Gale Wings Fletchling early on (Adamant), and thanks to Hana, I got a Skrelp. Beat Gyms, it's been fun. After Gym 4, I looked for Eevee, got a ♀ and ♂ and bred. Timid one, and I evolved it into Sylveon. Doing Power Plant now.

Yeah. I've since abandoned the notion and just kept playing through as normal.

Update time.

Caster has officially evolved into a Braixen and has been frowing steadily. Rider hasn't evolved but is destroying errything with his Electro-ball. In Lumiose City, the team gained a new member in the form of a Squirtle named Archer. He quickly proved his worth by smashing every trainer on Route 5 and evolving into a Wartortle. Berserker, a Pancham who joined the team on Route Five, has shown his worth by crushing everyone from Camphrier Town to Cyllage City, including Gym Leader Grant.

As we head towards Shalour City, the team is as follows:

We have sucessfully returned to Lumiose City. As Melissa, sporting a bitchin' new ponytail, prepares to enter Clemont's gym, let us look back on how we got here. Advancing to Route Ten, our heroine does battle against the FABULOUS Team Flare. In the process, a proud Golet joins the party. With Berserker already being called Berserker and no other class really fitting, the new arrival is dubbed Guardian. Our robot friends proceeds to prove himself by slamming all the Flare Grunts and Korrina's Lucarios into the dirt. As we approach Shalour City, Caster evolves into a mighty Delphox. Reaching the city, a visit is made to the Tower of Mastery. Berserker becomes a Pangoro (assistance by an Inkay named Nemesis who was promptly boxed), Archer becomes a Blastoise and Rider becomes a Raichu (after the battle). We then follow Korrina to the gym and destroy it with Caster. She runs like a bitch and we smash her on the tower. After this battle, a Lucario joins the party. He takes the name Lancer.

From here on is pretty uneventful. Caster solos Ramos. Berserker and Archer team up to kill Flare in the desert. We prepare to fight Clemont.
