Re: Pokemon diamond and pearl.
Wish is the best move for a BP Eeveelution. Easily. The only other thing worth Passing is Substitute, but Leafeon isn't as beefy as Umbreon, so it's not as nice.

Re: Pokemon diamond and pearl.
DT is such a lame move. It needs no skill and relies purely on luck. And we all know Haze puts that down.

I think Double Team is fine in D/P. Sure, in R/B/Y you could make a compelling argument that it was out of whack, but in D/P there's enough shit that fucks possible D/Ters (omghi2u No Armor Machamp) that there's some risk involved in the strategy.

Re: Pokemon diamond and pearl.
That's true. I forgot about No Armor Machamp. And Haze seems more readily available now too. But it's still massively annoying to see 100% accurate moves miss purely because someone used 1(+) Double Team.

Re: Pokemon diamond and pearl.
Accuracy != Evasion
The Machamp you guys are talking about is unable to have his own accuracy lowered; he has no control over the enemy raising its evasion. Quote, "No Armor: All attacks while Machamp is in battle have 100% Accuracy." Try again, unless D/P has suddenly fused Accuracy and Evasion together.

A machamp with the No Armor ability with Dynamic punch sounds like it would be pretty damn hot.

The Serebii WiFi chat is a pain and a half to sift through, but if you have the patience, you can net incredible deals. I got 9 shinies and a Palkia. So much wonderful wonderful loot.

Hey Muyo what is your friend code, and pogeyman team? Also Kabutops kicks so much ass now in D/P. Radically increased physical move selections ftw, and adherance scarf (I think thats the speed version of choice band is called now) is lovely on him. :P

*claps* About fucking time. Haven't confirmed it with my own eyes yet, but it's still great news to hear, Kuno.

Re: Pokemon diamond and pearl.
Apparently they didn't fix it, it was just the GTS being not being co-operative or something. Sadface.

Re: Pokemon diamond and pearl.
Aw man. :x And I actually thought they'd done it, too. I mean, it has been a while since the games have existed in both Japan and America now. Oh well.
With our luck, they'll find a way to install a "patch" for the game without asking for us permission, and said patch won't rectify GTS abuse but will do something like removing the shiny trick. -.- Kuno, have you gotten that to work yet? I haven't tried since I last picked up Pearl (4-5 days ago), but I was wondering if you had had any luck in the meantime. You could probably extract some nice deals for shiny Luxrays and Staraptors, and (thankfully) Staravia appears in the wild in the Level 50s, too, so it'd be real easy to get the Staraptor with minimal training-effort. (Too bad about Luxio ... oh well.)

IIRC, Luxio appears wild around Fuego Ironworks.
There's a shiny trick involving GTS, or did I misread that? O_o I think I've gotten the hang of Pokeradaring, so I don't particularly need it (unless I get desperate for a shiny Drifloon, which I'm not), but I am curious if I somehow missed it.

Re: Pokemon diamond and pearl.
By shiney trick do you mean the Pokeradar thing?
I lost my will to do it after realizing the only pokeradar guy I'd want is Larvitar and he's not in my game. I have a modest espeon to help get a shiney one with the right personality too but I highly highly doubt this is the kind of thing someone else would be able to do so meh. As for other shineys, I'm pretty impatient especially when it comes to things I don't care about. It's gay this trick doesn't work in caves or on other pokes because I'd love a shiney charizard or onix. |

Re: Pokemon diamond and pearl.
Misread. Or rather, I may also be at fault for writing it poorly.
What I meant to convey was, "Knowing our bad luck with NoA, they'll probably leave the GTS glitch alone but come out with a patch [without telling us] that erases the Pokeradar-shiny glitch." In other words, NoA is more likely to remove a glitch that's all win and no loss (we get shinies with hard work, nobody suffers except maybe shiny scalpers) than they are to remove a glitch that's more loss than win (the GTS glitch, while it's Win for those who take advantage of it, is Loss for people like me and Kuno who are fucking sick and tired of the Top 7 Trainer spots being occupied by people who say, "Want to sell, Dialga. Want to buy, Level 9 or under Abomasnow." It's like, fuck. Some of us actually NEED a Dialga.

Re: Pokemon diamond and pearl.
I don't think the Pokeradar shinies are glitches so much as it's just an easier-yet-still-hidden-and-mysterious method to finding them. Even the shiny grass has a different sprite than the regular and fast-with-white-sparks rustling, and whether or not higher chains are related to shinies appearing more frequently (there's evidence to support both), it still takes lots of luck, patience, and practice to get high chains (though it is possible to get multiple shinies out of a single chain). IIRC, even Lucas/Dawn mentions a connection between shinies and the pokeradar.
But yeah, it sucks that we can't use it over water or in caves (I'd like to use the Vs Seeker in caves, too -_-). I wanted to have a ressurection of my very first non-Gyarados shiny from my Japanese Silver cart (which I can't find and is probably dead), a badass silver Tentacruel. ;; If nothing else, you can catch stuff like Togepi (one which almost kicked my ass with Metronome despite it being waaay below my level. Mean Look + Sleep Powder HAX + Sacred Fire, much?) and non-annoying Safari Zone Tauros and wild Swellows (which made me giddy since I love birdies) and stuff via Pokeradar.

Re: Pokemon diamond and pearl.
Golden Vulpix, don't own LG.
Golden Steelix, can't use it in caves. Dark Gengar, can't use it in buildings. (iirc, Misdreavus and Gastly can show up in the patch of grass outside Haunted Mansion and Lost Tower, but it's hard) Pink Butterfree, they removed it from D/P and swapped it in for a really fugly shiny. Green Venusaur, it's not cool enough. Oh, and you can't find starters in grass. XP I'm basically in the same position as Kuno and you: all the cool creatures aren't waiting for me in the grass.

Re: Pokemon diamond and pearl.
You can get a shiney vulpix or butterfree if you have green or red. If I can get one maybe we can get some sort of trade going? ;o

Re: Pokemon diamond and pearl.
Shiny Vulpix (with no effort and [EVEN BETTER] with the right personality) is worthy of my spare Azelf, I'll tell you that much. If you decide to go Vulpix hunting and use a Synchronizer to try and get the right personality, be sure to be hunting for a personality which promotes SpAtt, Def, SpDef, or Speed and hurts Att. Quite the number of possibilites.
As for Butterfree, re-read my post. I said I don't want it anymore because D/P's shiny is really ugly. The original shiny Butterfree (iirc) was the pink Butterfree from the S1 anime episode where Butterfree found a mate. Either that or that was the color of the regular female sprite, in which case, it still doesn't exist in D/P anymore.
