Aha, late reply to @OkikuMew I like the concept of using the stereotype against your enemies.
I've been thinking of keep my Slowpoke the traditional pokey because if you cross slow response time with the shadow appearance, you get a creepy bonus? A slowpoke slowly turning its head to look at you, but now with glowing red eyes! Anywho, I actually popped in with some more general questions stuff. I can kinda assume Heart Scale Training works something like 1 Heart Scale = 10 Levels, (?) but I searched and could not find a post explaining Heart Scale Training specifically. Was also just wondering if anyone knew where to get Gen. VI & Gen. VII animated humpy sprites? I did a whole lotta searching for them today and I didn't have any luck, but I figured I'd at least ask.

Yeah, Heart Scales are worth 10 levels, or 5 Egg and/or MT moves at the Move Tutor. You can't use a Heart Scale to teach non-standard MT moves, though.
And as for Gen VI and VII humpy sprites... I don't think they exist. |

Yeah, starting at gen 6 GF/Nintendo dumped the humpy sprites we all know and love and instead just made fixed sprites move up and down through programming. All on to save memory and/or time to animate every single Pokémon (my best guesses).

5 Egg and/or MT moves?! Wow!
I did find artwork for humpy sprites for all of Gen. VI and Gen. VII (The servers appear to be overloaded at the moment, so here's the Google Cache for Gen. VI and Gen. VII) The sprites are free to use with credit. They have all the Pokemon, but not all the Mega Evolutions and no shinies. They do also all need to be animated. I made these two as an example! Anyway, don't know how in demand they are, but if we had a Fizzy Bubbles sprite post we could provide credit, then we can use them within our group.

I just use the Gen VII stationary sprites from Serebii, tbh.
If anyone is waiting on me for anything (Bases, AC, zones) I'll be 100% getting them done this weekend. I got swamped with coursework this week. Had a Roman history paper and a morphology assignment due Wednesday, and a take-home midterm due tomorrow. This weekend, though, me and Pakalōlō are gonna have some quality time together and I'm gonna FUI -- Fizzy under the Influence. ;D

Yay, thanks! I also have a Turtonator, Mega-Blastoise, Dragalge, and Amaura for 6th-7th gen pokemon if you or anyone else feels like making those too, but no pressure! :P

We could actually just upload them along with the other humpy sprites! It would take forever to make all of them, but perhaps we could collaborate and slowly but surely make all of them Small note: it would be nice if we follow the image sizing of the other sprites that are already uploaded so sprite displays are all the same in text. As far as I can tell, they all have a width of 31, and the height is at the minimum the animated sprite can do. Last edited by OkikuMew; 03-22-2018 at 07:12 PM. |

I took the time to recolor all the non-shinies to match their Bulbapedia menu sprites. I'll work on Amaura and Mega-Blastoise tomorrow!

Dragalge had a width of 33, so we might have some longer ones in there. The sprite's outlining is more of a dark grey instead of a black, and the colors differ from the bulbapedia menu sprites. But those are minor details we could probably ignore for the sake of getting them done. Otherwise, would love to have them uploaded along with the other humpy sprites! And will keep working on getting them animated as well! o7

Got a plan of attack on which sprites youll make/animate? I was thinking we could work on each a gen (say, you work on gen 7 and I work on gen 6) so we dont overlap our work by accident, so I want to see if maybe you got a better idea? XP |

I realized I could speed up my process my positioning the sprites for animation, and then pasting the bulbapedia sprite over the first one and then just recoloring the second on to match. But first I'm going to see if that makes the process acceptably time-efficient, and if not I'm just going to skip it. I'll be on the road for the next few hours, but will get to work as soon as I get home.

Oooh, your idea for the coloring is pretty good! I'll try it out myself. Oh and side note: It would be a good idea to follow the "nomenclature" of the UPN sprites - which is pnXXX for normal and spXXX for shinies (the x'es being the pokédex number). I wish I could look over how Pokémon with unusual forms are named too, but unfortunately I can't look them up as quickly as I wish (we used to have access to the actual folder with all the sprites, but seems like access has been revoked...) |

On Setebii it's usually something like 026-a for Alolahu, for example

Yeah, but of what I can see, in FB/UPN terms, there's no hyphen for different forms. Example: pn479w for Washer Rotom, pn201r for R Unown!

I mean, I had the name in mind ever since Snivy was on my want list (which was quite a while lol), so the fact I picked the same name is sheer coincidence! XD

After a self-imposed hiatus due to getting this house in a stable position, I can get back to doing FB stuff for other people. Which is to say, BR updates.

Soooo I've been gone for like...five years...but decided now is the time to make a return!
Lots has changed since I've been gone. Is there anything I need to do? I plan on just jumping back in unless someone tells me otherwise. Biggest question now is how do I collect Pokedollars...

Yes there's quite a lot that has been changed ^^; Better read up on the rules everywhere, you'll find quite a few surprises! (Oh and you might wanna check out the thread to pick up some extra new goodies that you might have missed on registration) Well for the Pokédollars, you get $250 every 250-word zone post you make! (I would say more but I need to get off asap lol) |
