Maybe Kingdra, since Blastoise has DPulse and water STAB.
But even then you wouldn't really want to replace Kingdra. |

I dunno if this is a thing, but Chansey finally gets Seismic Toss as an egg move. Ariados gained Megahorn (lel) while Heracross notably gets Rock Blast, which running Mega form gives it a 125 BP rock move. There's also Icicle Crash Weavile and Aqua Jet Crawdaunt in play (who also gets Switcheroo) and the amusement of Night Slash Unfezant, who can now do something to ghosts with that.

Oh yeah no Kingdra isn't getting replaced. Kingdra, as I've said many times before, basically wins games.

I'm considering getting rid of Ferrothorn, but I honestly don't remember why I have him other than "lol Rain makes him impossible kill". And rocks, but I can always put that on Garchomp. Hmmmmm....I honestly can't remember D:

I have no real opinion on this.
Namely because my opinion is steeped in bias towards Mega-Khan. I mean, ofc I hate facing it, but I like using it for the same reasons I hate facing it. Very hypocritical, I am.

Yeah that's a bad analogy. M-Gengar didn't sweep, it just took out one to two Pokemon and crippled the opponents team. M-Kanga just plains sweeps. If it gets to +2, even Skarmory can't stop it. Which is retarded.

I'm laughing more at the fact that they only realise this with the advent of Mega Kangaskhan rather than back when Scizor first got Bullet Punch.

Scizor isn't nearly as good though...

Choice Band Scizor or LO SD Scizor with Bullet Punch is pretty darn good. Especially now that Steel actually hits more than Rock and Ice.

I forget where I said that Scizor wasn't good. Remind me?

You said "Scizor isn't nearly as good." And I was naming a viable set. I wasn't disagreeing with you

Right, but Scizor still isn't nearly as good as Mega-Kanga. Scizor can be stopped by skarmory, Rotom-W, Lando-T etc, while Mega-Kanga rolls over each one of them.

If Ferrothorn switches into Mega Khangaskhan before he gains any attack boosts I usually manage to just take him out mostly thanks to Iron Barbs and Leech Seed recovery. My Rotom W is also good at neutering him with WoW.
I voted to ban him though - even though when I used him I failed to get hardly any KO's. I guess I'm just better at stall.

Mega-Khan is beatable, but the real issue is the over-centralization it causes. There are only a few checks to it, and as such any team without them is going to lose to it. This makes it so you basically have to devote at least one team slot purely to stop Kangaskhan, which I think is grounds for removing it from OU. /$0.02

There is no doubting its beatable, but once it gets to +2, its far more difficult. I personally need to paralyze it with Ferrothorn and then revenge kill with Mega-Blastoise, otherwise it runs through my team.

I run Hyper Offense and don't seem to have too much trouble with it. Two hits per turn really does suck (especially on Fake Out) and it sometimes gets off a Power-Up Punch against me. However I can safely say that a Mega-Kangaskhan has never touched me at +2 so I don't really see a huge problem with it. There's no way it should be quickbanned I think. Give it a suspect test and see what all the top-level players think of it.

So phoopes, I know you can create your own servers with PS. Looking through POs server function it seems on PO you can also make your own tiers. Is that possible on PS or do we still have to deal with PS tiers and such?

Yeah you can make your own tiers if you own a server. This was done by Joim (admin and programmer) for his server in the early days of Smogon's "Other Metagames" section. I'm sure if you fiddle around with it enough you'll be able to. Though I have no idea where to point you if you want to know how to make your own server... I thought there used to be a stickied thread but I guess it's not there anymore? And it's not in the FAQs either. I found this Youtube video on it though, hopefully that helps.
If you have any further questions I'd try the "Simple Question, Simple Answer" thread. Failing that, there's a few people you could PM about it.

Anything that makes Sableye pretty damned useful is ok in my books. Serious discussion: I've not seen it from enough angles to actually judge it, as both my teams cooked up by whim have had checks to it kind of built in. |

Is Smogon banning idiotic things again? That didn't take long.
