I like its effect, which is why I added it into my extra deck. Much better than Magical Android.

As I said, it is the prize card for the YCS events. There's only a few hundred in existance, and only a dozen or more of the ultra rares.
It's a trophy. |

Being Level 8 also makes it tougher to Synchro into than Magical Android.
My biggest concerns now is I don't have enough negation, either in the form of monster effects or set cards, to go against most decks that run them. I don't feel comfortable Synchroing into Stardust or SSD anymore unless they have a full back row of support, or multiple Stardust/SSD in the wing. When's the next ban-list revision?

Only the Alpha/Beta Power 9 cost anywhere close to that. It's kind of ridiculous that people would pay 1K for a brand new card that could devalue at any time with reprints. At least with Power 9, one is guaranteed to never have any further devaluation of the price.

Next ban list is in september, they occur every six months. new sam xyz comes in july.
And as I said, the card is expensive because it is literally a trophy. Most of them come sealed in a giant clear actual trophy, with afaik know way to get them out. It wasn't made to be played. |

I'll be on DN if anyone would like to do battol. Must cut down my burn deck a bit, though. 50 cards is too many.
EDIT: Was playing Dopple. Lost first game in a close game. Had upper hand in second game until internet cut out. Went on the comp's troubleshooter and it basically said, "Lol, turn it off and turn it back on." And now it works again. -_-

I'm done for today, will play tomorrow.
Scrap Dragon's impressive for its cost but the cost is a lot larger for me since it takes up an Extra deck slot. I'm still not sure if I'm going to carry it around.

Say guys, where exactly are you Dueling? I might as well join in and start learning the newer stuff you young 'uns play.
I mean, last time I played, Cyber End Dragon and Power Bond was the combo to beat. Stopped playing soon after the release of Cybernetic Revolution and it's subsequent Sets. EDIT: Never mind, found the Link. Creatin' account. Joined in as 'ElegantWineExpert'. I'll be on Deck designing and stuff, trying to see what I can come up with after reading a fair amount on current designs. EDIT Beta: OK, seems like some of us don't like / understand WTF happened to YGO. Anyone wanna play some Pre-Cybernetic Revolution games? Last edited by KratosAurion; 04-05-2012 at 03:58 PM. |

Most people got used to the changes soon enough. I don't know which cards would be used in a Pre-cybernetic revolution game so...
But I am lurking around for a duel. |

A few archetypes come to mind:
- Chaos - Cyber Dragon (Machine) - Spellcaster - Run of the Mill (Deck Out) - Warrior - Goat Control (Scapegoat + Metamorphosis + Thousand Eyes Restrict) - A Legendary Ocean - Gravekeeper (Counter Chaos) - Archfiend - Dragon - Level Monsters |

I presume Harpies as well. I'm relatively familiar with some of the archetypes, but, some of them have received a ton more support cards in the later series, and it's those detail cards that I'd have trouble with figuring out, if such a game would prohibit the new support or new generic staples.

Battled UM twice, won both games. First game was close, and a mistake on his part would've changed the game completely. I'm pretty sure I would've lost, actually. Second game wasn't all that close.
gg's.

Yeah, the second game was more like a massacre, myself being the victim. Again I could have, maybe, turned it around if I had done something differently the second turn. At least it would have been more close. Good games anyway.

I'm just going to mention my epic combo earlier that caught phoopes in surprise.
First I threw a Cyber Larva out, which his army of monsters quickly wrecked, spawning a second Larva. The second Larva got destroyed by a magic card later in his turn. Next turn I simply set an Emergency Teleport. I then activated Emergency Teleport on his turn, summoning Krebons. He sent Krebons to the grave and damaged my LP a bit. On my next turn the fun began. I first RFP'd Krebons and one Larva to SS Chaos Sorceror, who's eff I used to RFP one of his monsters. I then used Psychic path to return Krebons to my hand, summoned him, and Tuned Krebons and CS for a Stardust Dragon. I then RFP'd Chaos Sorceror and the other Larva to SS Black Luster Soldier. Then, since Chaos Sorceror had already been SS'd properly, I used Different Dimension Reincarnation to SS him, ditching the last card in my hand, a useless Ouroboros. I then had Stardust attack his monster who had the ability to negate an attack, forcing him to use the ability then so BLS could attack twice, which he promptly did, reducing his army to a single monster. On his turn he tried to use a card that would destroy two of my monsters, but I tributed Stardust to negate. He then Tuned and brought out a monster with 2500 ATK, which sadly killed Chaos Sorceror. At the end of the turn Stardust returned to the field and my turn began. I drew Strike Ninja, summoned him, used BLS to RFP his only monster, and Stardust and SN destroyed the rest of his LP. In other words it was a once in a lifetime combo and I feel amazing for pulling it off. |

Played 7 games against Deo...
Game 1: Stellars vs. ...something. Can't remember. I was dominating, then he drew a card that turned the whole game around on me. I lost in a relatively close match. Game 2: Not even close. I blew him out here. Game 3: See: Game 1. Game 4: We changed decks here. I went Burn deck against his main. Stalled him for the whole game, and finished his last 4500 off with a nice Wave-Motion Cannon/Just Deserts combo. Game 5: I couldn't get my stall working this game. He obliterated. Game 6: Pretty close game here. Burn prevailed, though. Game 7: We went Burn deck vs. Burn deck for the last match of the night, and the tiebreaker. It came down to me top-decking Ceasefire, which may have made a difference. If I hadn't gotten Ceasefire, I would've lost had he played it safe. However, if he would've attacked, I would've won regardless. gg's, Deo.

Hmm, as I recall, I blew you out of the water in Game 3, and I held my ground pretty well in Game 2 but ultimately was swept away.
But yeah pretty apt for the rest, and that last match... had you not the face down S/T's you did, I'd have swung for 4500 and sacced monsters in MP2 for game... darn luck gg's Also made a new deck and I love it. Blowing bubbles is fun. Also played Dopple in several games prior, with my new deck, and although he put up a good fight in all, I ultimately shut down all of his plays. gg's Last edited by deoxys; 04-06-2012 at 01:18 AM. |

Say, is there anyone around who could give me a quick briefing on what's currently played?
Or else, I could play a bit against some of you guys and get nailed in the process with my old timer stuff. |
