"I'm not sure which is worse: the maze you can see or the one you can't."

Melissa was slowly inching her way through the maze with Wildfire's flames and Signal's antennae as their only sources of light, as per the request on the front door to refrain from using Flash. Not that either helped all that much when they threw their own shadows to freak two of the three out without even needing the haunted house's tricks.

Signal squeaked and jumped again, accidentally discharging a few bolts from his antennae, which caused the other two to flinch.

"I lied," Melissa said, sounding strained. "This is much worse."

Dunk the Dragon

Once you've gotten deep enough inside, your task, should you decide to participate, will be to save Princess Garde from the clutches of the ravenous dragon known as Drudd the Hungry. To do so, your Pokemon will need to shoot a target with enough force that the bridge it connects to collapses, sending Drudd the Hungry into the water below and giving Princess Garde enough time to escape! You will have three attempts, and if the bridge is still up after that, the dragon gets to abscond with the princess, who will never be seen by the kingdom again!

For each attempt, simply have your Pokemon use a projectile-based attack to fire at the target; if your Pokemon does not have one of those, there will be projectiles provided for them to attack directly that are heavy enough to push the target the necessary amount if attacked with enough force. There are advantages and disadvantages between using stronger attacks or weaker attacks; stronger attacks may be quite unwieldy for the purposes of this game but are much better suited to pushing the target far enough back, whereas weaker attacks are more reliably accurate but may have trouble applying enough force to the target.

Winners will receive an extra prize on top of what would be given for participating in this activity, but what prizes might be given are a mystery!

“Oi mutt, just where do you think you’re going?”

Midna tugged on the tufted lobe of the Poochyena she was riding, trying persistently to get his attention as he kept his nose low to the ground, (supposedly) tracking his trainer’s scent up to now. It seemed something else had caught his attention though, as his ears perked, flicking back into place as they stubbornly ignored the insistent irritant on his backside. The Sneasel scowled and crossed her arms as she begrudgingly allowed her mount to carry on his own way, snout sniffing furiously with rekindled vigor.

“You better not be leading us on some wild sidequest.”

She groused as she leaned back, letting Link take the lead whilst she yawned and stretched lazily. While she was in no particular hurry to return to that Jess girl’s side since they’d been separated (due to a sudden freak storm which sent the stupidly skittish Ponyta galloping off somewhere), she didn’t want to be stuck wandering the woods forever with just the dumb pup for company either. Still, she figured she should stick with him to make sure he didn’t get himself distracted into some (likely dangerous) fool’s errand, as he was wont to do. …She still needed him for her plans after all.

Following whatever fragrance the hound had picked up on, they arrived at what appeared to be a cave entrance, forebodingly formed like a dragon’s head. Its jaws were open wide in invitation, as if ready to spring to life at any moment, snapping up and swallowing unsuspecting passerby. Undaunted, the dog boldly stepped forth over the teeth-like stalactites, forging into the depths of the beast’s belly without hesitation. Its innards seemed to rumble in welcome as its prey entered so willingly, whilst shadowy creatures flitted hungrily overhead, shrieking echoes to create a chorus of ominous tones.

“Great. Guess we’re likely going to be eaten by a grue now.”

Midna grumbled as she shot a dirty look at the shades, as if daring them to attempt an attack. While she didn’t mind the darkness due to her Keen Eye (truth be told she rather preferred it), she knew better than anyone what sorts of beings liked to lurk in lack of light… Something told her there wasn’t anything to truly worry about though, so her statement was one made more out of sarcasm than anything. Still, she kept a wary consciousness of their surroundings, remaining alert to any potential risk. Her steed’s own senses were nothing to sneer at either, as they steered him true through the maze until they emerged at an underground lake within the cavern. A bridge spanned the width of the moat, and on one side stood a menacing-looking dragon, while on the other was a stranded hostage clearly being held “captive” by the approaching beast: a beautiful Gardevoir of noble stature, who called out with renewed hope upon noticing the newcomers, desperately begging for help in escape.

“Seriously? This is what we came here for?” Midna groaned and rolled her eyes, as the royal prisoner batted her own pleadingly. “Anything for a pretty face, huh?”

Link wasn’t listening, as he barked back a reassuring promise to protect and rescue the princess from the guard’s clutches, whose claws gleamed as it bore a toothy grin before eagerly bearing down on its victim. Link growled in response and began to charge, prepared to leap over the entire lagoon and protect the poor potentate by any means necessary. Midna only managed to reign him back by hastily grabbing the scruff of his neck, lest he descend into the drink himself before even reaching the lady’s location.

“Whoa, not so fast there, hero! Look, there’s an easier way.”

She pointed towards an obviously marked target with a lethargic wave, to which the suspension was weakly connected to. If they wanted to defeat their foe and defend the distressed damsel, they’d need to do so from a safe distance by utilizing smarts instead of simply brute strength.

“Guess it can’t be helped,” she sighed as she steadied the snarling canine straining against her hold; her expression and gesture evidently unenthusiastic about the task set before them, yet yielding anyway to her companion’s determination. “Here, I’ll help you aim with LASER FOCUS, so just try to hit that thing with DARK PULSE and SHADOW BALL, okay?”

The Maw. Mint was hardly nervous stepping into a dark cave like this one. After what had gone down at Keith's, not much was going to faze her particularly overmuch. So, in the interests of sassing off any attempt at horror, Mint had given her Trapinch, Bantu, one golden instruction:

"Anything that tries to bother us, you Bite it. Hard. Not too much, but hard." she had said.

A dragon's mouth wasn't particularly scary when you had a Pokémon well acquainted with reading the innards of underground spaces and an equally sharp and strong mouth to boot. Though, finding the Rare Candy could prove difficult on this one...

"Maw..."

"R-rall..."

A giant cave entrance stood before the Mawile and Ralts, the latter of whom had asked the former to come along with him, to which Bel accepted in his usual fashion: with resigned acceptance. Were it anyone else, the steel type would likely tell them to grow a spine and shove it up their arse, but Ascelpius was a scarred creature, and literally owed his life to the Mawile. The aura of trepidation surrounding the fearful psychic pokemon, Bel nevertheless felt that any attempts by anything within to terrify the Ralts would be met with his own intimidating fangs, as they made their way through the darkness. The sound of running water caught their attention after some time, and as the pair entered a clearing, the sight before them was clear.

A seemingly scared creature, resembling a much larger Asclepius, was being approached by some sort of large blue gargoyle beast with a crimson head. It was quite clear to Bel this was a mere ploy designed to instil some heroics in the hand of visitors, and the emotional energy given off by the Gardevoir seemed to settle the Ralts, despite some confusion in Asclepius's mind. She looked terrified, but internally was amused? The very thought of the beast grabbing her was enough for the Ralts to look at the target and some small rocks, before waddling over and trying in vain to grab one and lift it with his small hands. Focusing, the Ralts began to try and lift it using his own telekinetic powers, but the rock was a lot heavier than it seemed, almost like a brick...like the one he tried fending himself with when that madman and the snake arrived to snatch him off the streets.

He began to whimper and tear up, the trauma of the situation he ended up in leaking out to those around him, and it almost seemed clear that he was about to have another breakdown when Bel placed hand on small shoulder sympathetically before offering to show him how a fey creature fights off a big stinky dragon and saves the princess. Still holding Ascelpius, Bel clutched the projectile with his metallic jaws, looked towards the target, and prepared to toss it with seismic force, willing to repeat the assault if required, all the while the whimpering of the Ralts seemed to emanate in a sort of chant, praying that the Deceiver pokemon was lucky to hit the target hard enough to send the big thing into the water before the princess was taken away from safety like he was...

With the blasted Zubat that convinced him to endure this whole thing at his shoulder Big gingerly steps into the gaping mouth of this dragon. "We aren't allowed to use Flash but no one said anything about echolocation. So guess who gets to be my guide through all this." Big says pointedly to Alucard. "You say that like you aren't the trainer." Alucard replies with a voice full of nothing but amusement. "Everywhere we go and everything we do ultimately comes down to your decision." Big just grumbles something about how he probably shouldn't have retaught the vampire how to hypnotize people when they make it to the main event. "Alright a sharpshooting challenge, my specialty." The zubat flutters off to prepare to fire when the Net Ball at his belt opens on its own. "Oh no you don't. I'm the dead eye around here." Tex the Charjabug glares up at the Zubat. Big feels some kind of psychic pressure like something is missing, but as soon as it appears it is gone. He shakes his head. "Listen, we get 3 shots so you can each take one and for fairness, Hotstuff will do the last one." He calls out his blue charmeleon. "Let's go with some accurate and balanced strong moves. Alucard you do sludge bomb, Tex you do thunderbolt, and Hotstuff you finish off with a flamethrower." The pokemon all line up and prepare their moves to rescue "Princess Garde"

Journeys into The Maw

TheKnightsFury: Atalanta knew her night vision was an advantage most others wouldn't have as a mysterious sign off to the side of the entrance suddenly read "Silver Scrapes" just before she stepped inside. One problem with night vision, however: you needed some source of light in order to see around you, however dim it was, and there simply was none in the "cavern"! Did she just willingly step into some creature's real body and let herself get trapped inside it!?

Suddenly, she hears some very strange noises, metallic in nature, as if something was raking against a stone wall, after which a terrifying roar of pain seemed to come from all directions. Finally, a little bit of light started to enter her vision, which was all your Decidueye needed to get a better idea of what she was walking towards, and the glint of a familiar set of wings would definitely be a welcome sight. As soon as he sees her, she hears him blurt out, "Attie~" before walking over to her with a loving expression on his face. "Don't worry, I'll keep you safe from the monsters in here!"

It turns out that's exactly what he does for Atalanta, and even at the end he just grabbed a candy out of the basket and hands it to you, not even giving the human at the end a chance to interact with you, even guiding you to the bridge where the Gardevoir stared down a hungry Druddigon...

Atalanta received 1 Rare Candy!

Emi: You had your reservations about going through this particular challenge, not because it was scary but because it was likely going to be disgusting as all get out. However, as the sign off to the side read, "Fluffy Embrace" you had hopes that it wasn't going to be as bad as you were making it out to be. Still, you had Scylla go in first. Just in case, of course.

As you felt your way along the cavern walls, they unfortunately did feel quite slimy to the touch, but at least nothing was jumping out at you or Scylla. That was until you felt something a little drier brush across your hand. Not only dry, but soft...fluffy~ You just had to grasp on to it no matter what! However, as soon as you grabbed it, it grabbed back, around your wrist, pulling you in before more of these fluffy tendrils wrapped around you.

Then you heard the growling. It wasn't low or menacing; in fact, it would be adorable if it wasn't from something mysterious. That's when the glowing red eyes glared at you, and blue flames lit up the room to reveal the Ninetales that had captured you. Didn't you read something about these creatures cursing people who had grabbed their luscious tails? Perhaps that was what was happening to you as this one leans in and grins evilly before licking your cheek. As her face moves away, you are quite unsettled as she licks her lips, perhaps deciding what fate she had in store for you...but then unravels her tails from you and simply walks away, but not before winking at you as she does so.

You take a moment to collect yourself before finding a light illuminating a guy with a candy basket next to him. He chuckles a bit before saying, "It seems like the Fox Queen has taken pity on you...or has she? Maybe this isn't the last you see of her! Anyway, lemme just get you your candy..." You approach as he looks away from you, searching for the right piece of Rare Candy to give you. "Ah, here you go!" He then looks up at you with red, glowing eyes with slit pupils in them and a zipper mouth replacing the normal human mouth. "Have a happy Halloween~" he says casually, as if his demeanor hadn't changed the way his face did.

You have received 1 Rare Candy!

Missingno. Master: Meowth was very much hesitant about entering Hyrem's Haunted Path, and when you saw a sign revealed that read, "Chill Down Your Spine" you started to think that maybe he had a point...still, if you didn't go through you wouldn't be able to get your candy, so you pressed forward anyway.

It was quite warm and humid inside this cavern, so you weren't quite sure what exactly would be causing a "chill", unless of course the place started to suddenly form around you to accept its prey...and then the temperature started to drop rapidly. Meowth would then alert you that his nocturnal eyes picked up a faaaaaint bit of light just up ahead, and you walked forward to find a familiar looking Weavile there with a flashlight. "Oh, hi Meowth~" Leila waves to you and your partner, relying on him to translate for you. "I guess you're the ones that got this scare, huh?" She pauses for Meowth to finish translating before saying, "Well, we better get to it already~"

Suddenly, she leaps out at Meowth and Quickly pins him to the ground before he can react to her attack before turning him on his belly and gently blowing a chilly breath of Icy Wind right onto his neck. You don't get to see what happens because a large figure embraces you from behind in its powerful arms before bringing you up to what you assumed was its face, pressing the back of your neck against something really cold, it was like pure ice rubbing against you before both of your assailants let go, and you turn around to see a Pokemon you weren't familiar with, at least as far as Hyrem was concerned; looks like you were caught in a classic Beartic hug!

Just when you thought you were done with the scare, another chilly breeze breathed against your neck from behind, and you turned again to see a Froslass right in your face. "Greetings~" she spoke in human language. "I hope you liked our little show. And for your information, there were no snakes involved in our act, otherwise they probably would have held us back! Anyway, your candy." She hands you your promised Rare Candy before she and the other Ice Pokemon let you move on to the next part of the cavern, with Meowth sporting a faint blush after being pinned by Leila, something he would refuse to talk about if you asked!

You have received 1 Rare Candy!

King Ghidorah: You weren't too keen about entering a mouth that could come alive at any moment and swallow you up, and the sign off to the side that was revealed to have the phrase "The Maw Inside the Maw" only further disconcerted you. Still, despite all these lingering fears hanging over your head, you walk in, hoping it would just be some cheesy contraption they were talking about later on.

The hot, humid atmosphere of this cavern hits you as soon as you take your first few steps inside, and it really did feel like the path behind you could suddenly "collapse" on you at any moment, but soon enough you were too far in to even see what was behind, or in front, or anywhere. You did, however, start to hear a low rumble up ahead...great, the beast was coming to life after all! However, there was something odd about it; the air in the cavern started to smell different, like...metal.

Suddenly, the cavern started to light up from behind, illuminating the large grin ahead of you. Wait a minute, you recognized that kind of a face...it was a Steelix! It roars at you, showing off its impressive mouth, though you do take note of its extra fangs on its bottom jaw, signifying this was a male Steelix, not a female like you owned. Once he was done roaring, however, he moved his head away, clearing the path ahead for you and also revealing a man in an apron with a basket of Rare Candy next to him.

"Well, looks like you were lucky enough to meet the beast's second mouth; what doesn't kindly meet its end past the first mouth finds itself in the jaws of that equally terrifying creature trapped inside with them. Think of it as an...insurance policy for the behemoth~ Anyway..." He hides his face as he looks for a candy to give you before taking one out to hand to you with a creepy visage of red, glowing eyes and a zipper mouth. "Happy Halloween~"

You have received 1 Rare Candy!

Median Dia: Oh, you thought you were sooo clever with using your Staryu's Illuminate ability as a workaround, and the sign posted at the side of the cave entrance that read, "Hunger from the Sea" posed little cause for concern with this in mind. All you needed to do was walk in and play along with the scare tactic, right?

Well, thanks to the little bit of light from Miapladicus's core, it was still musty, warm, and humid, but you were able to at least discover that the cave walls were still cave walls and not actual flesh like the path was designed to feel like. Therefore, you knew you were never in any danger of any monster coming to life while you were still inside it. Just then, however, at the very point you were starting to feel emboldened by your Staryu being with you, you start to hear an eerie hum come at you from all sides, where was it coming from? Then it started to speak: "Liiiight...must..eat...the liiiiight~"

At that moment, you and Miapladicus are embraced by what you could only guess were tentacles, two of them with a large surface at the end that you imagined were made to sense touch very well. You are then turned around to see a huge face with glowing, red eyes and a magnificent mustache below the eyes, the Jellicent droning, "Liiiiiiight!" At the moment you felt the most fear come to you, perhaps for your Staryu's sake, you then hear him say, "Ahem, yes, good lights!" He immediately lets go and floats a little ways away to give you some space, leaving you dumbfounded. "Uuuhuhuhuhuuuu~" he chuckles in a somewhat ghostly manner. "I must say, you are indeed a bright girl, using a Pokemon that can Illuminate the way instead of being taught the Flash attack! A word of caution, however, as such an ability that Pokemon like yours has may attract some...unwanted attention~ Ah, but where are my manners, the worst of it is behind you now, so wait here while I fetch you your reward~" The Jellicent leaves only to return a few seconds later, holding a Rare Candy in its hand. "Here you are, have a happy Halloween~"

You have received 1 Rare Candy!

Naru: Hardly aware of possible dangers of the cave entrance that loomed before you, you barely get a glimpse of the sign to the right of it that read, "Temptation of Light" before you drag your blindfolded Meowth inside, thinking about comics where the hero cuts themselves out of a would-be predator and surmising that would be what you have to do here.

It isn’t long before you are enveloped in total darkness, the warmth and humidity making you believe that maybe this was some sort of beast you were traveling inside. Up ahead, however, it started to get less dark, and you could see a nice glimmer of light right in front of you, glowing a little brighter the closer you got until it was revealed to be an adorable Lanturn producing the light from her lure. The Water Pokemon cooed at you, wanting you to approach, which you did, this was quite a sight inside a cave, especially that lure...maybe you should touch it…

Then there came more of a glow, not from ahead, but from behind and all around you as you could feel a pair of rubbery, leathery arms embrace you and Reynard right before your head is enveloped by what was...probably? A mouth? At some point, your Meowth successfully squirmed out of your hands only to have his voice muffled for some reason, though your own captor soon releases you, with some drool dripping off your head, and you open your eyes just in time to see the Lanturn from earlier spit Reynard’s head from out of its mouth before giggling along with the Pokemon behind you, revealed to be an Eelektross with greenish skin instead of the normal blue.

“Hehehe, good work, you two!” A human stationed at the end with a basket full of candy calls out to the two Pokemon, his apron signifying his line of work. “Such a powerful tool that light can be; it can be the promise of safety, or...well, the demise of some unsuspecting traveler. Ah, but you’re not here to get lectured on anything, are you? Come on over, come get your candy! Oh, and our Dunk the Dragon game is just up ahead if you want to play it.” You approach the man as he looks for a good candy to give you, and he finally hands one to you with a different face, that of creepy, glowing red eyes and a zipper for a mouth. “Happy Halloween~”

You have received 1 Rare Candy!

Maskerade: Unlike other trainers who came here, you were more scared of the Shiny Hydreigon going into the fleshy-looking tunnel with you than what could possibly be lurking inside, not even fully paying attention to the sign to the right that read "Daughter in Distress" as Deimos was lured inside, with you having no choice but to follow. You had to admit one thing though: this tunnel felt like it was actually a huge behemoth’s throat you were going in.

Soon enough, however, you start hearing growling sounds from something other than your special dragon, coming from up ahead. You hope Deimos doesn’t get any ideas, but he seems to be neutral for the moment. In fact, it seems he floats off to the side as you can barely make out the shape of...a Deino? Not just any Deino, a Shiny Deino who revealed itself with teeth sparkling with electricity, moving towards you purposefully before going into a full-on charge, and, for once, Deimos seemed to just float there while a younger version of him attacked his trainer. You put your arm in front of your face, and the Deino clamps its jaws down on your fist, but in a split second you could swear the little Pokemon turned off the electricity before grabbing onto your fist and using her momentum to knock you onto the ground.

Then, in an instant, it all changed once again as she lets your fist go with a single lick and looked to the Hydreigon with a smile, and, again, you could swear Deimos was grinning back at her...The little Deino then runs off and returns holding a piece of candy in her mouth, dropping it at your feet as you stand back up before running off towards what looked to be an employee at the end of the pathway to the game you were looking to play. “Hehe, looks like she got to see her father again!” he chuckles. “This little one’s hungry all the time, almost as if she has two other minds that think they haven’t been fed at all. I wonder if she’ll grow up to be even more ravenous than your big dragon with you...Anyway, looks like you got your candy from her, you’re welcome to play the game up ahead if you want! Happy Halloween!” With that, he waves to you before you move on.

You received 1 Rare Candy covered in drool!

Sandaa: You weren’t really going for yourself but for others, so you were simply trying to get things over and done with, so you didn’t really pay much attention to your surroundings and thought little of the sign that said, "That Gnawing Feeling", and even your journey inside was riddled with distractions as your adult standard tanky Blastoise kept an eye out for you.

It wasn’t long, however, before you entered a room with a fairly pungent odor, and without any light there was no way to know just what you were running into. Suddenly, Raphael grunts with a loud thud beside you, and before you can react all you can feel is a set of claws grasp onto your shoulders and pull you against something. You could only assume it was some sort of mouth because it started to gently nibble the back of your neck, causing you to writhe in discomfort, and to no avail, this monster seemed to have a firm grip on you. The only other assumption you could make was that Raphael was being equally harassed, and the slim possibility of that happening when considering the broad shell of a Blastoise made the feat simply impressive. Just when you thought you had enough, the nibbling stopped, and the insectoid creature released you, with Raphael seemingly released from his assailant as well. Light enters the room ever so slightly, and it was enough to reveal a Scizor waving at you and a Scolipede beside him, their triumphant grins making it obvious who had creeped you out so.

“Hehe, bugs are quite relentless, aren’t they?” An employee suddenly appears holding a candy basket as the two Bug Pokemon join him. “They just don’t stop until they find a weak spot and are the best at exploiting that weakness until their enemy has no choice but to surrender. Sure hope the owner of this base thinks about getting some more of them, they’re quite potent in battle...But I digress, here you go!” And with that, he hands you a Rare Candy before standing aside, the way to the game revealed. “Happy Halloween, bug food~”

You have received 1 Rare Candy!

Myahoo: The trepidation on you and your Pokemon’s faces was palpable, and the sign that had the words, "Pack Tactics" could only be signs of an ill omen, and when you had a little Cyndaquil and Chinchou that were so good at accidentally scaring each other on their own you knew this was going to be quite an ordeal. At least you had natural light to see around you, which made the short trek not so bad. Well, until you heard the distant howling. You froze in place, trying to look all around you for signs of where those howls came from, but all you knew was that they were rapidly getting louder. Soon you start to see the paws of three different Pokemon step into the light as a Mightyena, Manectric, and Houndoom all close in on the three of you, the first one pouncing on you and knocking your Pokemon away from you before the other two move in and put their paws on the Pokemon that matched their type.

You thought this would be the end of everything when suddenly the Mightyena’s demeanor changes. He smiles and barks, giving you a slobbery lick up your face before lifting himself off of you. You look to your Pokemon who are also free after receiving a nice coating of drool themselves, and you shift your attention back to the three dogs with a perplexed gaze. “Good work, you three, you really know how to work as a team!” A man in an apron approaches the scene with a pail of candy, and the dogs all run behind and let him approach you. “When you’ve got such loyal Pokemon as these, who needs a security system, am I right? Here, have a candy for your troubles, and have a happy Halloween!”

You received 1 Rare Candy!

Lilbluecorsola: Midna and Link being Dark-type Pokemon would be considered to be quite at home in this dark cave, although reading the words "The Art of Becoming a Present" on the sign close by was downright perplexing to Midna. What did the sign even mean by that? Regardless, Link seemed to ignore that, meaning Midna had to follow in even if she was very skeptical about the whole thing.

Even though they were unable to see much, they could at least rely on their sense of smell...or, they could if the only smell in here wasn’t simulated hot dragon breath! Maybe they could hear something... hissssss...hisssssssss... That sounded like something. But it didn’t seem like it was coming from up ahead, more like… behind!? Before either could react, Midna and Link were encompassed about by separate sets of powerful, purple coils, and it wasn’t until the two Arbok put their faces close enough that the Sneasel and Poochyena were able to see who their attackers were. Then some smaller hisses were heard, and two Ekans made themselves known, looking to what were seemingly their parents for approval and were given the go-ahead to close in on their gift-wrapped meals.

There didn’t seem to be anything either Midna or Link could do to get themselves out of this, but then something strange happened: their rattle tails came forward and poked them in the nose as both Ekans said, “Boop~” at the same time, and then all four snakes would release their confused captives with grins on their faces, having successfully pulled off their prank. They would then guide Link and Midna towards the candy basket before one of the Arbok fished a candy out with his tail to give to them, letting them continue on to the game they would play.

Link and Midna received 1 Rare Candy!

Heather: You had gone through some other haunted paths before this Halloween, so you were sure you could handle whatever was in store for you here...well, at least whatever was meant by the words "Wild Growth" on the sign off to the side. What you weren’t expecting was how close the cave felt to an actual dragon’s mouth, due to how humid it was. Then it started to smell… different. Like a sweet smell, somehow. It draws you further into the cave, where you wanted to go anyway, but it wasn’t long before you brushed past some sort of plant matter...and it brushed back. And around you. And it tightened on you. You also hear Bantu having trouble himself before you are being pulled into the next room where there is just enough light to see the Venusaur reeling you and Bantu in towards her, with your Trapinch’s jaws sealed shut by the vines.

Real fear starts to sink in as you are right up against the large Pokemon’s face, but she then seems to take a friendly expression as she rubs her face against yours while holding Bantu out for an odd looking Bulbasaur to nuzzle, all while the sweet, nectary smell permeated the air. This Bulbasaur, by the way, had an orange pumpkin on its back instead of the standard bulb as well as a duller blue-gray skin, and the pumpkin even had a face of its own on it too! Once they were done nuzzling, the Venusaur’s vines released the both of you, and the Bulbasaur with a pumpkin extended its own vine to you, holding a Rare Candy for you to take before they let you leave the cave.

You received 1 Rare Candy!

Raves: The little Ralts you sent was surely terrified, but as long as his Mawile friend was with him, he would be protected, even from whatever was known as the "Rainbow Rapture". Still, Asclepius was slow to enter the cave, Bel right by his side. Here’s an interesting thing to note, however: Ralts and their evolutions don’t rely on normal vision, they can detect the presence of emotions and by virtue of that are able to detect humans and most Pokemon. So it’s no surprise when Ascel points out the presence of a mischievous emotion before Bel even sees the beautiful looking fan swaying back and forth. However, once he does see it he immediately becomes entranced by it, walking closer despite Ascel’s warnings as he desperately tries to pull the Mawile away. This did put them too close, however, as the fan suddenly comes to life, revealing itself to be a tail of gorgeous, blue scales that lock the two in a snug, but gentle, embrace before the face of the Milotic surfaced to get a good look at them, her eyes lighting up with joy just as Bel’s trance is broken.

Awwwww, you two are such cuties~” she cooed over her guests. “You know, we have a Ralts on our team that’s just as adorable as you, I think he’d love to meet you sometime! And we used to have a Mawile with us as well, but she was kinda unruly and a little too much for us, though maybe our trainer will try to raise a different one in the future. You know, your jaws on the back of your head are quite useful…” She goes on and on for a few more minutes that felt like hours before she goes, “Oops, look at the time! I didn’t mean to hold you for this long, sorry! Here, I’ll get you your candy to make up for that…have a happy Halloween, sweeties~

Bel and Asclepius received 1 Rare Candy!

Biggggg5: You had a way around fumbling through the darkness of the cave that you were sure the staff weren’t expecting: a Zubat’s echolocation would surely keep you aware of any incoming danger, though seeing “Bellows of the Beasts” on the sign made things sound kind of ominous. Even so, you were ready for whatever came your way, even as you entered the warm, humid tunnel. Everything seemed fine, at least from what Alucard sensed since you couldn’t see a thing and were relying exclusively on your Pokemon to guide you through.

That was until you started hearing a threatening growl resonate throughout the tunnel before turning into a full-fledged roar. Then one roar became two. Then three. Then multiple roars started echoing all over the place, and Alucard informs you that all this roaring is scrambling his echolocation, he doesn’t know which way is up anymore, not to mention the fact that he was scared out of his mind and felt compelled to return to his Pokeball, where it was safe. Suddenly, a pair of glowing, red eyes stares straight at you, and the face of a Luxray comes closer to you before picking up its pace, going into a charge and forcing you to run straight to the end of the tunnel which was illuminated for you. Once you reached the end, however, the Luxray slowed down and simply flashed a small grin before turning around and leaving you to talk with the employee stationed there.

“That sure was close, wasn’t it?” he commented. “I almost thought he had you! You know, some Pokemon like Zubat are really good at hearing, but throw a bunch of loud noise into their sensitive ears, and that becomes their downfall! But yeah, you’re done here, and can move on to play our fun, little game, if you want! But before you go…” He fishes out a piece of candy to give to you, but as he hands it over you look up to see his face has changed drastically, to one with glaring, red eyes, a gray face, and a zipper where a mouth should be. “Happy Halloween!” the face says casually.

You received 1 Rare Candy!

Thank you to everyone who participated, and I hope you enjoyed your spooky experience!
As Keith and Meowth headed out with their haul, they reflected on what they'd just experienced. Hyrem had done a good job getting his Pokémon in on all this, though Keith was mildly surprised when the Froslass had mentioned that the snakes probably would've made them hold back on them if they had had their say. Well, OK, maybe Seshiro and Shisato, Keith reasoned, though he wasn't as well acquainted with their offspring to know all too terribly well what they'd think. But surely Amethyst and Kinana- well, actually, now that Keith thought of it, he could see a potential reason there, too- Amethyst likely wouldn't want any real harm to come to the Trainer of her lifelong mate, lest Keith decide that that would warrant never visiting again. Of course, it was all a moot point, anyway- the snakes had no say, the scares weren't harmful at all, and Keith had no intention of breaking up any kind of happy family of any sort.

Instead, Keith smirked at Meowth. "You know I saw you blushing back there," he said.

"Hey, you try havin' a frigid blast of arctic wind blown on yer neck, see how red it makes youse," snapped Meowth.

Keith still smirked. "I'm telling Ruby," he teased.

"Youse do dat and I'mma Fury Swipes yer face off," Meowth retorted. "Word gets around, and yer completely off da wall alternate intepretation starts spreadin', it's just a matter of whether it'll be Sirius or Ruby what dat kills me first. And I'd hope it'd be Sirius, cuz ya know Ruby'd make me suffer if I eva cheated on her. Which is just as well, considerin' dat ain't sometin' I'd eva even consider, as youse knows full well," Meowth added pointedly.

"Right," Keith nodded. The pair continued in silence, as Keith examined his various prizes, before Meowth spoke up again, eager to get on a different subject.

"So ya tink Chip'll go fer dat Reaper Cloth?"

"I'm telling Ruby."

"Oy..."

However, as the sign off to the side read, "Fluffy Embrace" you had hopes that it wasn't going to be as bad as you were making it out to be. Still, you had Scylla go in first. Just in case, of course.

As you felt your way along the cavern walls, they, unfortunately, did feel quite slimy to the touch, but at least nothing was jumping out at you or Scylla.

"Have a happy Halloween~" he says casually as if his demeanor hadn't changed the way his face did.

You have received 1 Rare Candy!
