With the Spacetime distortions of the year prior having changed the Springtide Isle, things have changed. As soon as the time rifts disappeared, they migrated towards the top, creating a swirling storm. For a year, this storm has stayed, until now. Reports have said that the Springtide Pyukumuku has emerged from within the storm! In a surprising shock, it was seen riding on a strange green lizard, with a likeness to a motorcycle. More and more of these lizards-
Oh, wait! Breaking News! We just got word from the Academy of Mesagoza from the Paldea region! It seems these Pokemon are known as Cyclizer, and the citizens of the region ride them around as a means of transport. Well, this is the first time we’ve seen them here in Fizzytopia, so does this mean the Springtide Pyukumuku is once again...? Indeed! The Springtide Pyukumuku is heralding in a new region! It seems it had traveled to Paldea through the distortions, and recruited an entire gang of Cyclizer to help it with its egg hint this year. What a pleasant surprise, considering how the Snorlax King and Spacetime distortions have changed the island throughout the years. Wait- WAIT! WE HAVE LIVE FOOTAGE FROM THE SCENE! Is that- A GIANT CRYSTAL????? A large crystal has just emerged from the storm and crashed into the top peak of the mountain. It looks like a new crevice has formed into the mountain, and the Pyukumuku and its Cyclizer gang have ridden in with eggs. Oh, and the storm is finally clearing up! Well, hopefully, nothing dangerous was residing within that crystal. Yet, now trainers of Fizzytopia, it seems we have received news that it’s okay to return to the island! Now, get your egg baskets in hand, and go ahead and hunt down your new precious friend from Paldea! As a reminder of the rules, for Fizzytopians old and new alike! The Egg Hunt will take place in the temporary area known as Springtide Isle, whose areas are described below. If the egg you find does not suit you, you may search again, in the same area or by traveling to a different one, but you will have to place your previous egg back in its hiding spot. Remember - you will be able to search a maximum of three times, and you will only be able to take one egg home with you. The eggs have already been carefully tended and nurtured by the Springtime Pyukumuku, so hatching will occur as soon as a confirmation is made. Make your choices carefully, and be sure to have fun! SPRINGTIDE ISLE Beachfront – Whether buried in the sand, plunged into the ocean or hidden under a stray beach umbrella, the Cyclizer have hidden the eggs of Pokemon who feel at home in this idyllic environment of salt-sea breezes and warm sunshine. Please reply in mediumaquamarine. The Rocky Coast – Farther down the coast, the rocky terrain forms magnificent structures and caverns for hiding all manner of things. The eggs hidden here can be mistaken for small boulders, hidden amongst the rough terrain. Please reply in lightslategray. Harborside Market – A bustling gathering of shops and merchant stands of all kinds. Food vendors, souvenir shops... The shopkeepers will happily let you go through their merchandise to search for eggs, but no stealing items, lest you incur the wrath of the Springtide Pyumuku Cyclizer Gang... and the police. Please reply in pink. Springtide Nature Trails – This winding path through nature takes travelers away from the beach and on a lovely walk along the cliffside, with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The environment here is greener, though egg hunters would be wise to keep their eyes open for places off the beaten path... Please reply in lawngreen. Shrine to the Past and Future – A pair of magnificent shrines once dedicated to the cosmic duo. And then the lupine heroes of Galar. Now, they’ve been redecorated as two motorcycle shops themed after the new legends! Search for hidden eggs with reverence, and the eggs may reveal themselves to you. Please reply in yellow. Abandoned Beach House – Why would anyone abandon such a lovely home, with such a perfect view of the waterfront? Given the unsettling aura surrounding this eerily quiet abode, perhaps the answer to that question is better left unknown... Even so, the door has been left wide open. Please reply in mediumpurple. Volcano Path – A rough and winding path up the slope of a volcano. Dried weeds of grass, boulders of igneous rock and belches of volcanic smog block your view. You'd have to keep your eyes peeled if you plan to find an egg here. Please reply in orangered. Ice Caverns – The c-c-c-colde-est p-p-pplace here. We know why the Cyclizer hid the eggs here, just to be painful! Be careful around those corners. Patches of ice may surprise you and the last thing you'd want to is to fall and crack an egg. Please reply in paleturquoise. Berry Tree Canopy – High up in the forest, the trees branches and vines entangle to shape a high-rise structure. If one somehow managed to climb up here they'd be faced with tree hollows and berries galore, each with its distinct fragrance. Please reply in deeppink. Flowerbed Gardens – Deep in the forest lies a remote sanctuary in the form of a grove. Flowers in a vast array of colours block your sight of the soft earth. Be careful where you step as eggs may be hidden in between these flower beds. Please reply in orchid. Seaside Waterfalls – Further down the coast lie the cascading, freshwater rapids. The plunge of the whitewater eroded the cliffside over time, allowing for shallow pools of water to be hollowed out along the coastline. A bit further upstream one would find the overgrown thicket that flourishes alongside the nutrient-rich banks of the river. Please reply in deepskyblue. Gemstone Grotto – A beautiful new cavern found deep within the mountains, uncovered after the giant crystal crashed into the largest peak! Glimmering eggs can be found amongst the rainbow crystals glowing all over the place. Yet, there is an eerie feeling here... Please reply in thistle. |

Arne reached for his Bag and retrieved the letter he'd received the day before. It came bundled with a map, beckoning him to come to this mysterious island to investigate a strange phenomenon. He'd felt special, acknowledged even, when he'd read it for the first time - were his efforts starting to pay dividends, were the locals finally starting to realize his potential and relying on him? As it turned out, plenty of others had been summoned besides him. An impressive number of Trainers, as it turned out, were just now arriving at this strange Springtide Isle. In summation, it had absolutely nothing to do with his skills to begin with, but simply the fact that he happened to be one Trainer among so many others. This was no reward for his efforts, merely a far-reaching cry for assistance to any fool who would abandon his current endeavors to come here. As he had been. Sensing Arne's growing frustration, Gustav called to him, directing his attention to the massive crystal that had lodged itself at the mountaintop in the distance. It radiated a strange, yet alluring power... That seemed to be enough to get Arne motivated once more, and just when they were about to begin their exploration... "Bahahaha! Look who it is! Baby Arne!!" He froze in place, the familiar, excessively loud voice conjuring all manner of unpleasant emotions from within. "What... the hell... are you doing here?!" Brandt Haraldson, the massive northman they called "Ironclad" back home, had apparently also received an invitation. They really did reach out to anyone and everyone, Arne bitterly thought to himself. His older brother was probably the one man on Fizzytopia whose company he desired the least. "Took the trainin' wheels off at last eh? Gustav's lookin' pumped up, anyway! So what's gotten you lookin' so gloomy, lad?!" Brandt slapped Arne's shoulder, almost dislocating it. "Come on, we should stick together. I remember yer sense o' direction bein' as lousy as yer sense o' humor!" Without really waiting for a response, Brandt made his way toward what appeared to be motorcycle-theme shops in the distance, a strange find in this seemingly-untampered wild location. "But first, I'm dryin' up like a Tentacool on the sand. Lessee if them fellas over there got any ale on 'em." An exasperated Arne exchanged a glance with Gustav. Fine, they'd tag along, if only to keep that mountain of a man out of trouble - in the off-chance that he could get his hand on a drink, things would get even louder soon enough. And on closer inspection, those shops actually appeared to have been something else in bygone times - something worthy of reverence, with a certain aura of mysticism to them. Not that he expected Brandt to pick up on that... |

Raymond wanders up toward the shrine hoping to study more of the surrounding area as they have heard that the shrine may hold some knowledge of their existence or even a clue of what they were. They were quite perplexed to discover that the area was not at all like their studies said it would be. In fact, the whole place was discerningly different in its entirety. Raymond decided to consult their memory bank and verify their information. After a moment they come to the conclusion that the area was known to change fairly often but for not particularly long duration. With this conclusion, the cybernetic being opted to wander around and collect whatever information they could. If they were lucky they could even stumble across an artifact or a clue as to their origin.

Everything was a haze... A sweet, billowing haze. Where was he...? He? Was that right? She? No, that was wrong too... No matter what... They were here now. Adrift, amongst the dreams of the collective. The last thing they knew... they were about to reach something. Something...? What was it? Zacian? What was Zacian doing before they passed out? For what... "Lies will get you nowhere, King," A voiced echoed through their head. Blinking, they realized where they were at. Out of a void of mist and butterflies, they awaken to the Springtide Isle. Their Rotom Phone screeches as it flies it, the Togepi case a signature to their form. Yet, when they begin to scan the market in front of them, a few people reacted with shock. It was true, he had been gone from mortal time for two months now... The Rotom Phone began to chatter with an unworldly cacophony, it being absolutely flooded by two months worth of messages, missed calls, and notifications. They just looked at it, unamused. Such were the detriments of linear time. Though, it seems most of these were from the league at this point... Right. They signed off on a few messages and then began to walk around the markets. This was where he first met Meringue, the Shiny Alcremie who would be a key asset at the cafe. How was it doing? Grabbing the Rotom Phone with unworldly force, they quickly dialed another phone. Ring...Ring...Ring...Ring......Pick up. "Hello?" the recipient asked, disbelief in their voice. "How are things going there?" They asked. "It's mostly been fine Leo. Just, where the hell have you been?" Ethan responded. "Here, there, somewhere, everywhere," they responded with a mischievous chuckle. "Don't worry, I should hopefully be back...Sooner." They hang up the phone. Their roommate knew better than to question that. Then again, with all of the supernatural bullshit the duo was caught up in, it mattered not. So, it was strange they would be in Springtide Isle now. Perhaps it was the call... of a new fey friend. A new helper at the bakery... Perhaps? For now, they'll take a reprieve in this pleasant daydream, and look around the docks for an egg. It would only be time tell, that they needed to sleep once again. |

With each exclamation, Deb smacks a black fan against the glittering sides of the cave walls, sashaying as if wearing an expensive gown, invisible furs weighing her bony shoulders. If you're going to travel, travel in style - it was one of Deborah's rules to avoid aging. "The French are glad to die for love. They delight in fighting duels... But I prefer a man who lives and gives expensive jewels~" "Tauros" the Bouffalant and "Vulpix" the Fennekin follow close behind, humming along to Deborah's catchy tune. Whirling around and picking up Fennekin with a laugh, Deb sways the fire type to the music in her head. "Men grow cold as girls grow old, and we all lose our charms in the end. But square-cut or pear-shaped, these rocks don't lose their shape. Diamonds are a girl's best friend!" Fennekin cries out in chipper agreement, as he is gently placed on Bouffalant's back. The little fire type ended up in Deb's care when the nun who hatched him decided to selflessly give him away as a gift to the eccentric old woman... Despite being called Vulpix and frequently being searched for extra tails that Deb was convinced would eventually grow, it was a good life for the small fox. Plenty of brushes and cuddles. "What say you two? Any diamonds in this rough?" The pair shake their heads in unison, but continue searching. Surely, there was some sort of gem out here... As long as they could keep their trainer safe in the process!

The faint roar of what sounded like a rocket could be heard getting gradually closer, until its source became visible in the skies above Springtide- a Golurk, legs retracted, flames and exhaust jetting from its waist instead as it soared towards the island, along with its diminutive passenger. Slowly, carefully, the Golurk began its descent, lowering itself to the ground, and then, offering a great hand to assist with this, helped said passenger down to the ground. Terri Alph smiled up at the Golurk. "Thank you, Bear," she said. "Would you like a rest in your ball for now?" "IF IT WOULD PLEASE YOU, MISS TERRI," the Golurk intoned with a respectful bow of the head. Terri put her hands on her hips. "If it wouldn't please me, I wouldn't have asked," she said. "Don't make it about me- I'm asking what you want, Bear. Would you like to rest in your ball?" "...I WOULD," the Golurk admitted. "THE FLIGHT HAS BEEN WEARING." Terri nodded. "That's all you needed to say," she said simply. "Rest well- we'll be counting on you for the trip back to Sludge Wave Coast, OK?" "AFFIRMATIVE, MISS TERRI," rumbled Bear as Terri withdrew the Golurk back into its Jet Ball. Once this was done, Terri produced an ordinary, more contemporary Poké Ball, and tossed it in the air. "Find, engage!" she exclaimed as her Ribombee materialized. "Oh, are we here already, Terri?" inquired the Ribombee. "Yep," Terri nodded. "I'm counting on you, Find, all right? We'll only have a few chances to find a good Egg, so if you can read their auras for me, it'll help me make my decision." "You can count on me," smiled Find. Terri smiled back, and with that, she led the way over to the Shrine to the Sun and Moo- uh, Shrine of the Sword and Shi- uh... Shrine to the Past and Future, yeah, that's the one, that's what they call that thing these days. *As a result of reaching 20 Bond, Find learned Guardian Terrain!* *As a result of reaching 20 Bond, Find learned Shadow Storm!* Last edited by Missingno. Jeffrey waved him off, shoved the platform firmly toward the coast of the island, then scrambled up onto the platform himself. He rose to his hind feet and howled up at the towering cliffs triumphantly, and Dracen stood to join him. "Haha! You got that right, Jeff- LAND HO!" He leapt off the ice platform and landed, once again, on the shores of Springtide Isle. As Myris scuttled down to join him, Dracen couldn't help but break into a grin. "It's been four long years. "Okay Charlie, if all goes well, you'll have an... entire chocolate fountain all to yourself- what is this picture!? I thought I asked for a picture of a pile of chocolate bars!" Hyrem was of course referring to the sign that was supposed to be made so Charlie could understand the concept of what was happening since the Dunsparce hadn't officially gone on an adventure with him yet. Though somebody may have taken the instructions out of context a little, itty, tiny bit... huh? Oh, I know absolutely nothing about that. I'm innocent, I swear! Anyway... "Whatever, just think of that while we're walking about, and remember: if you find any eggs, no eating them, got it? There's no chocolate in the eggs, and just because all the other snakes eat eggs... well, a lot... doesn't mean the eggs on this island are for eating, they are for hatching. As in for some new friends to join the team maybe? Do you understand?" "Sparrrrsss..." Charlie hissed, tilting his head to the side as though he was trying to understand but didn't quite get it. Hyrem slumped a bit and sighed before continuing, "Okay, just... if you see something, let me know about it first, okay?" Charlie hissed and nodded at that before inching his way down the trail, leaving Hyrem with no other choice but to follow, wondering if this was really a good idea for Charlie's first adventure.

"Alrighty then," said Karmas, stretching out his shoulders. "Its been a... well little while since I've really gone adventuring." A pair of cries on his shoulders agreed with him. On one shoulder was his Pidgey, Halazia, and on the other was his Litwick, Volkno. He had had great plans to go out and go adventuring, and reconnect to all the pokemon that he had lost previously, but that had all come to a grinding halt. "Oh well," said the man, "No time like the present is there? I would have brought Poisson with me, but I didn't think he would enjoy the lack of water where we are going." There was a questioning chirp from Halazia. While Karmas had spent a lot of time over the past couple of years doubting himself, and there had been quite a lot there for him to doubt, this time was officially over. While he hadn't been around for any of the other times Springtide Island had appear, he had heard about them everytime. Honestly, they had sounded like a lot of fun and he refused to be the one who missed out again this time. So he had pulled his big boy pants up and pulled himself out of his base and actually decided to go and try to get back into the habit of things. "Yeah, I've already decided that we will going to the Flowerbed Gardens. Might even find a friend for Verdant over there."

Liawe arrived at the now-familiar shores of the Springtide Isle, once again by air. Vulthuryol's mighty wings beat beneath her, carrying her over sea and sand, and now the rest of the island as the mighty Aerodactyl found itself soaring towards a giant crater in the top of the mountain. The impact site would be interesting, at least. Liawe, however, was admiring the view: she'd have to come back with her gear to do a sketch of the island's new views from this angle. The impact had left beautiful devastation in its wake: shards of crystal and chunks of rock jutting awkwardly from new resting places, lending a feeling of survivalism to the vista. As she dismounted and recalled Vulthuryol, Liawe called upon some more useful help for exploring the crater, namely Cadri the Drilbur, whose tunnelling expertise would be invaluable in the event a newly-discovered passage collapsed. Many tunnels were partially visible through the impact crater, but several had been collapsed (though some had been already restored, perhaps by the Cyclizar?) and the little mole's might may yet prove necessary for escape or exploration. Also accompanying them was another intruder, who hopped out of their Pokeball and made their presence known by causing Cadri to levitate two feet off the floor, eliciting several angry squeaks and a harsh reprimand from their Trainer. Sheut was always a prankster, but the Baltoy's weirding might also prove handy... if he didn't cause the tunnel collapses himself, that was. Sighing at her Pokemons' antics, Liawe approached a larger crack and, checking there was a floor beneath her, dropped down into the gemstone-strewn tunnels below, with Cadri and Sheut following shortly behind.

A flash of scarlet petals A brief unmistakable metallic whiff A footstep, to break the silence The woman stood on the banks of the Springtime Isle, making her routine sudden, and mysterious, appearance once more. She twirled her scarlet and black parasol around as she looked up at the island, noting its own sudden change. 'There definitely wasn't a giant crystal jutting out of the mountain the last time I was here. Not even any care to the aesthetics.' None of the woman's Pokemon were with her today as she walked forward. They had all been busy recently and she hoped to give them some amount of rest. The Springtide Isle was usually quite calm and peaceful, as the Springtime Pyukumuku didn't care for troublemakers messing up the eggs. She had brought one, her Inkay Scylla, just in case something dramatic happened on the Isle. 'I don't think I'm going to have to reach for my Pokeball though. It's just eggs, what is the worst that could happen?' Normally any of the familiar locations would have done just fine for her. But when she learned that the crystal had opened up a new ravine, and that Pyukumuku was spotted putting eggs inside of the new cavern, she had to go see what was squirreled away in there. She walked to the edge of the cavern, looking down through the large gash in the mountain to try and figure out what she could see. It was mostly crystals as far as she could see, but there was something more important to her. 'It's so bright. Aagh.' The woman took out some extra covers and wrapped herself in them. She looked a little less dignified like this, but as she descended, she was a lot more comfortable now. The light reflecting off the crystals bothered her a lot less now that it wasn't directly hitting her skin, and that she had a pair of muting sunglasses on. "Let's see what you've left here, Pyukumuku. I'm sure whatever it is promises to be very interesting." |

While normally she would do her usual visit to the Springtide shrines (whatever they are this time around), she decided to change it up a little and go somewhere that while not "ancient", it still likely has some history behind it: The abandoned beach house. Who owned the place in the past? What things might have happened in there? Why was it abandoned? While not as grandiose as temple ruins, it still can scratch that itch of discovering the unknown, figuring out the past with what's left of the present, and maybe find some things worth bringing home to restore and protect from the harsh environment. It's no wonder urban exploring is getting more popular. That said, it was assured the trainer was going to get at least something to bring back home today - with Springtide Pyukumuku's blessing upon its island, she was bound to find an egg to take care of! As an initiation of sorts, Mélina brought with her one of her latest members of her team, the Galarian Ponyta, Rosie. And she was... saying "excited" would be an understatement. Running and jumping left and right and around the house, ecstatic to feel the sand and rotten wood planks under her hooves and staring at every little thing she comes across. If her had hands instead of hooves, she would likely have a cellphone and would definitely post selfies on the 'gram with a thick layer of hashtags. Her trainer had to constantly remind her to be careful at not knocking off the walls and what little was left of the furniture. At the very least, her excitement cancels out the gloom of the abandoned place, and her bright eyes would likely easily catch on anything that looks out of place... |

Before you even reach the shrine, you can hear the sound of revving engines, and puffs of exhaust rising from over the hills, where massive racing flags serve as a beacon to all cycling enthusiasts. You find the statues housed within an unusual temple, where arches of steel are airbrushed in glittery, metallic hues. The adherents of their religion wear not robes but leather jackets and sleek helmets—their offerings drenched in grease and gasoline. Though it was a longshot, you decided to walk around the area and see if you could find anything. Cycling memorabilia was scattered around everywhere depicting Koraidon and Miraidon, but none of them felt particularly ancient. Perhaps because these Pokemon were only recently discovered... Turning over as many rocks as possible, though, you wander far enough afield to find a junk-filled ditch running along the backroad where people have been racing their rumbling machines. Something beneath the pile catches your eye, and as you inspect it you find a Pokemon egg nested underneath! The body of the egg is hot pink, with a grey diamond resting in its center. Do you take this egg? Last edited by ShadowDRGN; 01-03-2023 at 04:31 PM. |

One thing is for sure, though—the trail you’ve found yourself on is certainly beautiful. The coast sparkles like diamonds in the sunlight, and a high ridge lined with green provides plenty of shade as you climb up the path with your Pokemon. You can occasionally spot hexagonal formations of crystal growing out from the grass and rocky cliffs, but they seem to be inert compared to the giant one looming off in the distance... Eventually, you come to a grassy bit of cliffside that juts out from the trail, a perfect rest stop after a taxing hike! A lone tree stands framed against the ocean waves below, and you notice something sitting in the shade—a Pokemon egg! Most of its shell is a mocha brown, but two large dots of yellow catch your eye the closer you venture. Do you take this egg?

Your old bones walk through the crystalline cavern, with your definitely Kanto Pokemon at your side. The many reflections of your face glitter like starlight, and the cavern was giving off a wonderous shimmer to your skin. Looking at it, it makes you feel forty again! Perhaps these age-reducing diamonds were a girl's best friend! Or anyone's, really. Yet, your "Tauros" lets out a huff as she has to trot down this path. Wait? When could Tauros be girls??? Your "Vulpix" on the other hand has a wonder in his eyes as he warps beneath the crystals. Like a small child you never had, or did you have children? Who knows! our husband was dead and you were here to get something straight from the source! And in the source, you see, as nestled against an outcropping is a rather... beige egg. Layers of beige and eggshell cover the egg, with an almost mushroom-like dome, with an almost crystalline block jutting out. And then you were hit by a rather salty smell. This egg smelled more like the ocean than rotten. Saline, but in its purest form. Now, if this baby could exfoliate your skin... The real question now was: Do you take the egg? --- Ironthunder- You, your Drillbur, and your Baltoy take the dive deep into the crystalline cavern, ready to unearth the eggs deep within. The translucent crystals glimmer like diamonds, though you see them shine a multitude of different colors as they catch the light. This place was certainly aptly named, to say the least. Though, your ground-type Pokemon seem to be acting a bit... odd here. Something was lurking deep beneath the earth, but what? Was it the Cyclizer zooming around, dropping off eggs everywhere? Or something much more... aberrant? Who knows! Your narrator certainly doesn't. Anyways, you soon find yourself in a small crevice, with pillars of rock jutting out of the ground. They almost looked like... flower stalks? And affixed to one of these pillars was a lilac egg, almost bulbous in nature. It looked to have taken "root" into this pillar, and was waiting to hatch and bloom into a beautiful flower. Looking closer at this lilac egg, you see a flower design on the top of the egg. Each "petal" was a vibrant royal blue, and perfectly triangular in every way. And in the middle, you could feel that it was almost staring at you. Well, it was ripe for the picking. The real question now was: Do you take the egg? |

He wasn't willing to repeat the mistakes and being coerced from his last time here, electing to leave his team behind and traverse the island by his lonesome. The air was humid, the skies were a sharp turquoise, and the setting... well, something was different. The last time he plodded along the Nature Trails, they had wound their way through endless swampland. Now, it hugged rocky bluffs that extended down into the sea, leaving nothing but open air where he had previously walked before. Strange, he mused. Despite the mysterious change of scenery, he continued forward, letting the errant sea breeze push him towards whatever eggs that he might find.

Well, not entirely powerless. Charlie did leave the beast's Pokeball to her, after all, so Gyarados was the Cerulean Daycare's problem for now. Deb tried not to think about how many levels the serpent would gain while she was away, trying to catch up with her late husband... or how many little Daycare-goers were going to be eaten in the process. Well, that was the staff's problem! They were trained for situations like this... right? Anyway, diamonds!!! Wait... This wasn't a diamond. This was a hunk of salt! Or maybe just an over-salted egg, left behind by someone on a picnic...? Either way, Deb orders her "Tauros" and "Vulpix" to ignore it and move on. Of course, "Tauros" steals a quick lick before charging off, inspiring her fox companion to visibly roll his eyes. The hunt continues!!

"Interesting," hummed Find, the Ribombee observing the flags. "I wonder what the significance of these flags are." "I think they have some connection to an academy in the Paldea region," Terri replied, noting with a small frown as she did so the large quantities of vandalism in the area- the shrine had most certainly seen better days. Before she could begin to comment on this, however, she took a second to sniff the air, finding a distinct enough scent to warrant changing the subject away from aforementioned vandalism. "...do you smell exhaust?" she asked. "I do," nodded the Ribombee. "It smells almost as though someone is riding a motorcycle." "And it sounds like it, too," Terri noted, having heard the sound of revving. "Were it not for how quiet and distant that sound is, I'd have thought Perform was here," she giggled. "Hee hee, indeed," Find concurred with a small giggle of her own. "I- hm?" she murmured, cutting her sentence short, and turning to look further up the path. "I sense an aura of some sort." "A good one?" Terri inquired, tilting her head. "Hmm... inconclusive at this distance," Find murmured, frowning in concentration. "Let's check it out." "Sure," smiled Terri. And with that, she followed her Ribombee further up the path. The vandalism they had noticed earlier on persisted, but to a somewhat lesser degree. There were crystals scattered everywhere, and then they saw... parking spaces? What? Ignoring all of this, Find headed up to the temple doors, and came to a stop at last, floating above a dull green Egg. There were a pair of orange dots adorning said Egg, one on each side, very symmetrical. "Interesting," Terri murmured. "Find, what do you think?" The Ribombee did not respond immediately, seeming to be deep in thought. "...No," she said at last, shaking her tiny head. "The aura from this Egg, I... I don't agree with it. I don't think it would be a good fit for us. I feel we should seek our fortunes elsewhere in this shrine, Terri." Terri regarded her Ribombee and the Egg she had just passed judgement upon. "...I trust in your judgement," she said at last with a nod. "Let's see what else is up this way." "Let's," agreed Find, flying away from the Egg. "Let's see if we can find an Egg with a more agreeable aura." And the Ribombee closed her eyes, feeling around for any other auras. As with this Egg, they would have to get up close for her to tell anything more definitive about such an aura, but for right now, merely detecting the presence of an aura was the first step to finding their next Egg. |

'The gems at least aren't uniform. There's an obvious variety of them here. If someone was to mine this place for precious gems they would probably make a fortune, although you'd risk the wrath of the Springtide Pyukumuku doing so.' As the woman descended, she could feel the discomfort going away, and slowly removed the extra coverings she had brought to herself. The crystals in the cavern were no longer reflecting and refracting light from the sun, but rather some source of luminescence from deeper down. It was something she could more easily tolerate at any rate. Her pace quickened and she reached the bottom of the cavern before long, where it seemed that the cavern had finally opened up from its rather narrow descent. The woman quickly found an egg, and although it proved a little tricky to get to, she eventually was able to reach it. 'Oh I think I know this one actually. This is...Girafarig, I'm pretty sure. I wonder what it's doing here.' She briefly pondered the idea of taking along a Girafarig. It certainly wasn't one of the new Pokemon she had heard about, but this might have meant the Pokemon came with some kind of new evolution, which wasn't unheard of. 'I just don't really know how enthused I am with the prospect of a Girafarig. I had hoped for something a little more exotic. I'm sure the Springtide Pyukumuku will make sure this egg goes to a more welcoming trainer.' The woman left the egg, and continued her exploration of the cavern. |

“Gal?” “Never mind,” he told his Gallade. They were here for their own reasons. The news had detailed the recent happenings, the Cyclizar and the storm most of all. Mythology of the Paldean region had stood in the spotlight nonstop for days. “Koraidon and Miraidon,” he said to himself. “Gal?” “Never mind.” He made a dismissing motion with his hand. “It’s not important.” “Lu?” ’Oh not you too?’ He was pinching the bridge of his nose between fingers. The atmosphere at least felt relaxing. It was odd to consider, but despite the turning of altars into shops, an air of divine stillness lay around them. Or perhaps it was just a lack of migratory birds this season? He was standing by the base of one of the statues; Koraidon, the Paradox Pokémon of the past. He had hesitated about doing this. He got down on one knee, ready to pray for help. “Oh, Koraidon,” the words sounded sarcastic when he said them out loud. He tried again. He searched for the words. Words one used to describe events and emotions. He thought hard about what he had felt and the thoughts that swirled his mind at the time. He wasn't even sure himself. Did he cry? Did he yell? The words had escaped him. “Ah!” he shot up. “This is stupid.” He should have looked for a statue of Dialga instead. Or Celebii. Hell, a Hoopa might have done. Koraidon? For all he knew Koraidon was nothing more than a glorified lizard lost in time. Even if it wasn’t, would it grant him his wishes? Could it? Like Jirachi could? It was all his fault anyhow. Why bother another deity for help then? He hated this. The feeling of submissiveness, all for something he wasn’t sure could help in the first place. Passiveness, when he should be solving his own problems. “This is a waste of time,” he blurted out. “We’re leaving.” “Gal?” / “Lu?” He kicked a loose stone out of anger. The rock bounced off the base of the statue and hit Lucas square in the nose. He reeled in pain and clutched his face in both hands. A warm sensation flowed out of him and when he pulled his hands away he realised blood had poured from his now broken nose. ’I suppose this is karma of some kind for something I’ve done in the past.’ He felt hopeless. It wasn’t just the words that escaped him, the words he knew but which evaded him, never even once coming close within reach. It was also his temper; it wavered much like a flag in a storm, there was just no flow in moment to moment. Then there was his voice. He might have imagined it but he felt it waver whenever he needed it most. Nothing was working as well for him as it had before. Or maybe things had never been as good as they were. Perhaps he was just clinging on to some optimistic – nostalgic – view of his past. “I’m going for a walk,” he announced to his party. “Alone.” The Gallade and Lucario stared at each other and back at their disappearing trainer. “Gallade”, Rags indicated the statue of Koraidon. “Gal, gallade,” he pointed at Scraps and then at the statue of Miraidon. “Luca!” Scraps protested. “Galll-lade!” he argued back. “Galla.” Scraps wasn’t about to accept the insult. “Lucar!” “Gallade ga.” “Lu-lucario. Luca lu,” he did a mocking impersonation of the Gallade. The two bickered some more before stomping their separate way to each of the statues, Rags at Koraidon and Scraps at Miraidon. They both prayed for fortune, health, prosperity, but most of all they prayed for help.

Lil'twick:
Reality or dream, you are here now, a place not unfamiliar to you. You have, in fact, been here before, under a different set of circumstances. Last time, Springtide Isle and its magical Pyukumuku had seen fit to reward you wtih a new friend, special in more ways than one... but that was then. What will fate have in store for you this time around? You make your way along the docks, stands lining the streets on both sides, sounds of merchant chatter and price haggling all around you. That's not what you're here for, though. You feel the call of something else, subconsciously blocking out all noise regarding magical necklaces, fresh tails of Slowpoke, candy bars filled with rage and the sort. But then, one voice pierces through all the others, because that one matters. "Hey, you there! You look like you could use a new companion. How about taking a gander at this here Egg?" It's not just the vendor's voice, you quickly realize, or the wares he's peddling, that make the hair on the back of your neck stand on end. It seems to be the very Egg itself, orange in color and with two yellow circles roughly in the middle. Will you take this one? PikaGod: It has been a while. Years of self-doubt that prevented you from leading the Trainer's life you once yearned for. But the mysterious events transpiring on this equally mysterious Springtide Isle have rekindled your passion, and here you are with your Pidgey and Litwick, ready to brave the Flowerbed for a new companion. And who knows? If all goes well, you may even find it in you to explore the rest of Fizzytopia in due time! The landscape before you is truly idyllic, thousands of flowers in full bloom of myriad colors. You step around carefully, wary of stepping on any Egg hidden under the rainbow sea of petals. Which is why it comes as a great surprise something seems to bump into you instead. You drop to one knee to look closer. Beneath a patch of lovely yellow daisies you find a very restless Egg, dark gray on its upper half and light gray on its lower one, lightly hopping around. On closer inspection, there are two small yellow dots on the shell as well. Eggs aren't usually this lively unless they're about to hatch, and they certainly don't tend to jump at people... what kind of creature could be lurking within? Will you take this one? Ex-Admiral Insane: You feel a strange need for redemption for past deeds, it would seem. An almost spiritual need of sorts to pray for something, anything to get you back on track and put the past behind you. And at the same time, a certain sense of self-ridicule for thinking that statues of a motorbike lizards would be the right place for such a prayer. Annoyed at your current situation and whatever ghosts may haunt you, you decide you need some time alone. Lucario and Gallade handle are left to their own devices and their own faiths. You need a break. Aimlessly, you wander about the Shrine, ignoring the eager Trainers that run about in their Egg hunt. Fun as that may be, your mind was elsewhere. Which is why you almost pay it no mind at first, and only do so once your brain registers the sheer strangeness of the situation - a Pokemon Egg, dark green in color with two black stripes, comes literally rolling toward you at high speed, before making a sharp turn and narrowly crashing into a nearby wall, before coming to a ful stop a few feet away from you. This is... not usual Egg behavior, to say the least. Whatever lies within must be particularly lively. Will you take this Egg? Last edited by KingSalmon; 01-04-2023 at 05:40 PM. |

Opting to abandon the egg before her; our protagonist shambled back down the stretchy path and ventured further into the cavern. Her footsteps echoed throughout the area and the sound of dripping came from somewhere above. Surprisingly the brightness stayed the same around her surrounding the further she spelunked in. Normally others would need to break out a light of some kind but not here. the Crystals shimmered with the same prismatic effervescence from the back at the top and it made this formation all the more stunning. Eventually, the ground texture began to change becoming more sandlike as she stumbled upon a small pond filled by a constant drip from the cavern ceiling and slight rivers draining from somewhere on the cave side. The water itself is perfectly clear as if it were melted from a glacier and in the pool center half buried in the shimmering sands seems to be a strange jagged white oval. Deciding to investigate further the woman wades into the spring and digs up the object to get a better look at it. The vaguely oval object has two thick brown stripes along the center with the rest of it being the same off-white. What does she do? Quote:
Terri and Find agree that perhaps this egg is best left alone and opt to wander around some more. They begin to meander around the outside of the temple and find a sizable hole in the wall and the remains of a fallen tree. The space inside is likewise tattered and worn due to weather and disuse. The floor is covered in old food wrappers, spray paint cans, and other refuse. The walls are also covered in graphite depicting many strange and yet familiar pokemon and a wide variety of absurd-looking hats locked in combat around a giant crystal much like the one that appeared in the Springtide Isle. Heading further into the ransacked temple remains Terri finds themselves in what appears to be an old gift shop storage room with long abandoned nicknacks and charms for various occasions. Find shortly picks up on an aura tucked ways in an old crate of clothing. Right on top of the tattered and decaying garments rests an egg with a metallic grey body with a darker set of grey rings around it. Additionally, it has two yellow circles on the side and a purple smudge on the bottom. What does the duo do?

"Terri," Find said, catching her Trainer's attention. "Hm?" Terri murmured, turning to look at whatever her Ribombee was looking at. And as she looked, she tilted her head in fascination- she saw the imagery on the walls, depicting various Pokémon- familiar species, but different to how they usually looked in some respects- and they were locked in combat while... wearing... odd crystalline crowns? All around a massive crystal? Whether this meant anything to Terri, she kept her suspicions to herself, and her face gave nothing away, but it was clear that the imagery on the walls at least had her interest. "Terri," Find repeated, turning around and peering intently in a seemingly random direction. "This way. I sense something- another aura of some sort." "Right," Terri nodded. And she followed her Ribombee, this time into what appeared to be a gift shop storage room. The Ribombee made a beeline (a Ribombeeline?) for an old crate full of clothing. The clothing, however, was not the interesting part, but rather, the Egg that sat atop it. Metallic grey, with darker grey rings. Two yellow circles, one on each side, and a purple smudge on the bottom. "Intriguing," Terri murmured. "Find, what do you make of this?" she inquired. Find did not answer right away, scrutinizing the Egg both in terms of vision and aura. Then, she giggled to herself. "...I do not believe this Egg to be right for us," she said at last. "For Keith, on the other hand, I have no doubt this would be a perfect choice." "Hm," Terri murmured, giving a small smile herself. "Well, then, I say let's stick with this one," she said. "It wouldn't be right to leave this Egg behind when Keith is busy elsewhere today. If this Pokémon really would be right for him, and we have an opportunity to bring the two together..." she trailed off, shrugging her shoulders. Find nodded understandingly. "That makes sense," she conceded. "I also find your dedication to your friends to be very commendable, by the way. Very well. Let's wait for it to hatch." And with that, Terri and Find waited patiently to see what the Egg would hatch into. Even Find didn't know the exact species, but what she got from its aura, she knew this would get along beautifully with Keith Masters. So she was confident she at least knew one of its types. Maybe. Possibly. Perchance. |
