Zak was relieved to see that he wasn’t the only trainer stopping to aid their Pokémon momentarily but the man couldn’t help but notice the rest of his team mates had Full Restores in their arsenal; a further reminder that he needed to stock up on some and fast. Spunky didn’t seem to mind the lesser item, bathing in the Hyper Potion’s spray and seeing his hitpoints regenerate to a much healthier state in mere moments.
With a number of the raiding Pokémon taking a recuperation break, the Spheal and the other Pokémon continued the battle. After summoning another humongous whirpool from the murk of Typhon’s Depths to engulf Riolu, the seal showed the raid party another of its party tricks as it destroyed the beneficial terrain with a well-timed Steel Roller against the Galarian Mr. Mime. The pinniped wasn’t done yet, though, firing out a beam of ice straight at the colossal Chinchou whilst its fellow Water-type was still in its massive state. With the turn’s end came the end of Chinchou’s Dynamax moment as well as the Spheal’s summoned hailstorm, offering great relief to those that were not benefiting from the icy winds, the man’s Tynamo included. Given that the seal had focused its attention elsewhere, Spunky was looking much more ready for battle after this turn and he crackled in the air where he floated. “Spunky - now that you’ve recovered some, it’s time to show that bloated seal what for with another one of your Charge Beam (50BP + Magnet) attacks!”

With the Dynamaxed Spheal’s defences downed once again, the gathering raid Pokémon continued to pummel away at its vital hitpoints as best as they could. A well-placed Thunder attack served to paralyse the pinniped, though this was short-lived as the seal refreshed itself with a Shockwave. With abilities nullified in the process, the Spheal continued to deliver incredible amounts of damage to the party of raiding Pokémon, managing to whip up another serving of hail off the back of a Max Hailstorm before battering the group with a ground shattering Earthquake.
By the end of the Spheal’s three attacks combined with the storm that whipped around the field once more, the party was looking much more worse off in that moment than the seal they were facing off against. A number of the raiding Pokémon clung on to just the faintest scrap of their life force, Spunky the Tynamo included, whilst one of the raider’s Pachirisu succumb to its wounds following the Max Hailstorm. With two options left before him and one of them a much more bitter pill to swallow than the other, the man dug deep in his pack once again as he walked with purpose towards the temporarily grounded and incredibly weakened Tynamo. The first time he had rummaged he had found a number of Hyper Potions and he knew that dipping back into this stock was crucial right now, lest the Elefish also succumb to the harsh winds. “You’re one tough noodle, Spunky - there’s no shame in stopping to feel the benefit of another Hyper Potion [2/3] before all of us finish off that beast, though.”

It only took one attack to reduce the Spheal’s shields to glittering rainbow shards of light, scattering about the battlefield and dissolving as soon as they came into contact with something. The pinniped glared at the raiders, angry that its sole defense was so quickly surmounted and upset that it was no longer protected from damage. However, the Spheal’s angry expression quickly turned to pain as the rest of the raider’s Pokemon descended on it, squeaking as super effective blows sapped its strength and bruised its blubber. Its angry expression returned once the attacks subsided, looking even more upset at the paralysis it had been inflicted with by the Buizel and its logic-defying Thunder. Sil and Umbra could tell that the spherical seal was weakening, not only evident by the various wounds on its body, but also by its posture and expression. The Spheal’s goofy grin had fallen into more of a frown or even a snarl, and the seal’s body was somewhat slumped over. However, despite its weakness, it still had a face aces up its nonexistent sleeve. Seeking an outlet for its rage, the Spheal clapped loudly as its body began to glow with a red light. From the center of the storm swirling above its head descended a white lighting bolt, striking it at point blank. Umbra momentarily wondered if this was an attack from some unseen ally, however, his hopes were dashed once the Spheal unleashed a powerful shockwave that nearly swept him off his feet--no doubt it had been powered by the bolt. Cured of its paralysis, the seal descended on the raiders with powerful attacks, managing to knock the Pachirisu unconscious with a giant hailstone, summoning yet another hailstorm. Umbra dug his claws into the rapidly freezing sand in anger. The Spheal had not only brought back the dreaded cold, it had also knocked out one of his allies. Time for some grassy revenge. Giga Drain (75 BP)

As the trainers and their Pokémon tried to prepare for the next turn as best as they could by offering commands and sharing out medicine, the Spheal they faced off against prepared itself for its next three powerful hits. Though the raiding Pokémon had managed to paralyse the beast between them, this didn't hinder it much as it began to careen around the lagoon with a growing casing of ice surrounding its spherical form, gearing up to hit its foes with Ice Ball. This strategy proved deadly too with the Clap Pokémon managing a trio of successful and increasingly more powerful hits on the Pokémon gathered to defeat it.
The hail whipping its way around the battlefield served the Dynamaxed Pokémon well, seeing to it that two of the Pokémon before it would succumb to the chill. Having already felt the force of the most souped up Ice Ball, the Riolu was already on its last legs before the icy wind hit and there wouldn't have been anything that could be done to prevent this from happening. Even after the effects of the Hyper Potion, the Tynamo was looking rather worse for wear as he bobbed clumsily in the air before the Spheal, too. If the trainers of his fallen comrades were to cheer him on, he just might get through the round and land another attack. If not, he would not doubt be joining their Pokémon in collapsing under the pressure of the seal's assault. "This could be our last shot to hit that thing, Spunky - with that in mind, it's time for one of your Charge Beam (50BP + Magnet) attacks once again!"

When Sil had first elected to join this raid, she assumed that it would have a walk in the park. Three stars, and with a Pokemon whom Umbra had an advantage against. However, this Spheal had disproven her assumption hard. It had frozen Umbra to unconsciousness twice, had devastated the other raiders with equally powerful attacks, and had survived super effective attack after super effective, from the most shocking Thunders to the most powerful Force Palms, yet was still standing. But, despite its surprising stamina and strength, the Spheal was driven back into the corner. Its blue and white fur was signed black in some places from the electrical attacks and its body was bruised from the Fighting-type punches and slaps. Its body was slumped over even more so, and its eyes had a tired look to them. The pinniped was close to fainting, though it wouldn’t go down without a fight. It curled into a ball, an icy sheen forming over its skin, before crashing into the Tynamo. It kept going, slamming into the Buizel next, who shook off the resisted blow, before finally crashing to a stop… after colliding with the Riolu. While the Ice Ball wasn’t powerful enough to knock the jackal out, the hail finished it off for the Spheal. Likewise, the Chinchou let out a soft cry as the hail pelted it as well, completely sapping what little strength it had left. However, this round wasn’t exclusively gloomly. With a high-pitched squeak, the Pachirisu burst forth from its Pokeball having fully recovered from its fainting last round. Their spirits lifted a little by the return of their ally and by the weakness of the Spheal, Sil and Umbra felt a little bolt of excitement that fueled them through their exhaustion. “Alright Umbra, we’re almost at the finish line. One more Giga Drain!” Giga Drain (75 BP)
