Current team:
Nami the Male Froakie (Lv. 14, Gentle, Torrent) Lick/Growl/Water Pulse/Quick Attack Unnamed Male Torchic (Lv. 13, Rash, Speed Boost) Scratch/Growl/Focus Energy/Ember Plus two Pickup artists: Ziggy the Zigzagoon and Sevear the Bunnelby. Sevear picked up a Nugget earlier. None of the potentially available Fire-types really do much for me, so I went the event route. No idea what I'm getting past Bulbasaur for my Kanto starter. Going to stick to new Pokemon only after that one. Viola was fairly easy with just Froakie. Water Pulse was nearly a 2HKO against her Vivillon. Mystery of the day: If you gain EXP after catching wild Pokemon, does that mean Pickup also has a chance of grabbing an item? This is a question very close to my heart.

The levelling system in this is so hilarious that I don't even care. |

I heard that Spewpa evolves at level 12, Soy Sauce, so yours shouldn't be too far off.
Also, if Viola's giving you trouble, might I recommend catching a Litleo? |

Apparently Vivillion evolves at Lv.12.
Tyoyo why do you not have a Fletchling or a Pidgey or a Farfetch'd? |

Because I'm not a huge fan of any of them, and would prefer to do minimal rotation. I know that Vivillion and [Surfer] will be rotating in and out.

Am I the only one who's only planning on using six Pokémon in-game? Seems like just about everyone else is going to be doing at least a little rotating.

I would but there aren't enough new Pokémon I like to justify limiting myself to just 6 new ones, and too many old favourites to cut enough of them out.

Vivillion get! She's the expected Modern form, looking awesome. Do we have a dedicated 3DS Friend Code thread? If anybody is looking to add me, my friend code is 4871 - 4031 - 7982. Name is Ty. |

Just beat the second Gym. I am really hating that Steel no longer resists Ghost and Dark.

I'm on the second Gym myself right now, battling my way up to Grant.
By the way, what's the minimum number of turns a Pokémon could be asleep for? Because a Lunatone hit my Quilladin with Hypnosis, and he woke up the next turn. Then again, I dunno whether Pokémon Amie had a hand in that, because I make frequent use of that feature... |

I've played for maybe four and a half hours so far, just caught Snorlax. Made an attempt to train Ralts but it wasnt worth the effort because it had the worst defenses imaginable.
Current team: Level 22 Combusken Level 21 Frogadier Level 21 Ivysaur Level 21 Fletchinder Level 15 Snorlax I've heard that the fossils will be coming up relatively soon... Definitely going to pick up Tyrantrum then.

OK, battling Grant! Huh, I thought he'd use Tyrunt first, so I had Espurr in the lead- I was planning to use Disarming Voice. Ah, well, let's see how this plays out.
EDIT: Not well, as it turns out. Amaura made short work of Espurr, but Litleo KO'd it with Rock Smash. Now I'm leaving him in against Tyrunt. EDIT: OHKO'd by Rock Tomb after Rock Smash did next to nothing. Alright, it's time for the big guns- time to use Quilladin. EDIT: Holy fuck, how high is Tyrunt's Defense?! Needle Arm wasn't faring much better than Rock Smash! Quilladin's fainted, too! Bringing in Helioptile. EDIT: GAAAAAAH! Got in two Mud-Slaps before Helioptile went down. It's all up to Farfetch'd now... EDIT: And, as I'm sure you all saw coming, Tyrunt OHKO'd with Rock Tomb. Time to try again. EDIT: Now I'm leading with Litleo. Rock Smash 2HKO'd Amaura! I'm gonna keep him in against Tyrunt and see how that goes. EDIT: OHKO'd by Rock Tomb. Didn't even get in a Rock Smash, because it was paralyzed. Why does Amaura get Thunder Wave, anyway? EDIT: Espurr got in a single Disarming Voice, which dealt pitiful damage. OK, I'm gonna try something here... sending out Helioptile. EDIT: Dammit, Helioptile only got in a single Mud-Slap before being KO'd. Let's hope the one stage Accuracy reduction will be sufficient. Time to use Quilladin. EDIT: And luck was on my side! Quilladin triumphed over Tyrunt! Cliff Badge get! Last edited by Missingno. Master; 10-12-2013 at 04:09 PM. |

Oi, sorry Soy Sauce >.>;
I was 100% focused on my Espurr hunt, which was successful! I've added a male Espurr to my team, named Berlioz. I'll be hunting for a Helioptile next. My planned team is only six Pokemon, but I don't know how late in the game some of the others are going to be obtainable. I'm looking for the T-rex fossil, the keyring Pokemon and GOOMY. |

When you get to the the Rhyhorn-riding bit, that's where you find Helioptile (among the masses of Hippopotas), and the fossils are in the cave after that. |

So Zora, do you like more new 'mon than you did in Gen V?
Then again I'm pretty sure the only one you liked then was Crustle. |
