”Keep going Nanc, you’re doing great, girl. I want you to get ready to give that thing one final serving of your Outrage (120BP + Dragon Fang)."

Dynamax Boss Dragapult
★★★★
Health Gauge: 28%
Shields Up: 0
Status: [Def -2, Sp.Def -2]
Trainer Status: [N/A]

Raid Boss Attack Summary:
Attack 1: Phantom Force (90 BP)
myahoo, Chinchou: 0 HP
Attack 2: Dragon Darts (50 BP)
SpinyShell, Sandshrew-A: 243 HP
Pearl’s Perap, Venusaur: 125 HP
Raid Challengers:
  • myahoo (Chinchou): 0 HP [Must sit out 1 round before recovering]
  • Pearl’s Perap (Venusaur): 125 HP [Confused]
  • SpinyShell (Sandshrew-A): 243 HP [Ice Ball (2)]

The Pokemon broke the last of Dragapult’s shields and fired off their most powerful attacks onto the massive floating dragon. As Venusaur’s furious Outrage subsided, it wobbled around in a daze as the adrenaline left its body. Dragapult reciprocated the damage onto the trainers’ Pokemon, knocking out the weary Chinchou in the process. With the death count rising, the intensity of the wind and clouds that swirled the power spot picked up tenfold, meaning the trainers were on their last legs to defeat this creature.

Dynamax Initiative: myahoo, Chinchou
  • Trainers may only list 1 order per round. They are also permitted to using 1 item in lieu of an attack.
  • Dynamax Initiative will select a trainer at random. If a trainer has initiative, they may choose to Dynamax their Pokemon for a duration of 3 turns. Dynamaxed Pokemon may only select a Max Attack of a corresponding type from their registered moveset, or Max Guard in place of status moves.
  • If a hold item or ability’s effect is activated in the present round as a result of the previous round’s damage calculation or the present round’s orders, please state it clearly in your response.
  • If a trainer’s Pokemon is rendered unconscious, they may choose to cheer on their allies; opting to either remove one shield from the raid boss or healing one ally’s Pokemon by 50% of their max health.
  • Roleplaying your orders is optional, but $250 may be collected for responses of 250 words or greater, and Bond will accumulate only for the trainer’s active Pokemon in battle.
  • You have until Friday, October 23rd to place your order.

Aw shi-

As the gargantuan Dragapult's shield defence collapsed before it's eyes under the pressure of their co-ordinated assault, Nancy the Venusaur lurched forwards to continue unleashing her Outrage upon her airborne foe. Though the attacks beyond the shields managed to land a hit upon the spectral beast, the Outrage had taken it's toll on the Venusaur and she appeared to wobble around in a daze of sorts following the sheer adrenaline of the previous rounds. Eyeing the perfect opportunity to strike back at the Raid party, Dragapult unleashed a blast of ominous energy and defeated one of their fellow Raiders; an already-weakened Chinchou under the ownership of Melissa.

With Nancy exhausted and appearing disconnected, the Dragapult fired off its missile Dreepy without her even noticing. In a flash, the two tiny dragons made a swift approach and crashed into their targets without interruption, leaving both Pokémon reeling from the damage. Before the Raid party could make any further decisions, the sky above the Typhon's Depths lagoon started to swirl as the ever-darkening clouds circled with the growing winds.

"Things are looking more dire than I thought, try and inspire yourself with the swirling chaos above and push through the confusion to deliver another bout of your Outrage (120BP + Dragon Fang), Nancy."

Though Zak was not sure of where things would go from here, he didn't let the Venusaur know that this truly could be their last chance to make any difference, making sure to fire her his signature thumbs up alongside his order.

Dynamax Boss Dragapult
★★★★
Health Gauge: 12%
Shields Up: 0
Status: [Def -2, Sp.Def -2]
Trainer Status: [N/A]

Trainer Recovery Summary:
myahoo, Chinchou: Cheer
Perap, Venusaur: 375 HP
Raid Boss Attack Summary:
Attack 1: Fire Blast (110 BP)
Pearl’s Perap, Venusaur: 210 HP
Attack 2: Fire Blast (110 BP)
SpinyShell, Sandshrew-A: 23 HP
Raid Challengers:
  • myahoo (Chinchou): 400 HP [Fully Recovered]
  • Pearl’s Perap (Venusaur): 210 HP [Confused, Outrage]
  • SpinyShell (Sandshrew-A): 23 HP [Ice Ball (3)]

With their backs against the wall, Venusaur wobbles unsteadily but breaks through the confusion to connect with another powerful Outrage. Sandshrew follows up with a crushing Ice Ball as it escalates in damage, leaving Dragapult teetering on the brink. Enraged, the dragon unleashes two scorching Fire Blasts upon the conscious raiders, but the pair of them were able to barely withstand the onslaught. With Chinchou now back on its feet, it was up to the trainers to finish the beast off.

Alright, Signal, let's (hopefully) finish this with one more Ice Beam (90 BP, boosted by Nevermeltice)!

★★★★
Health Gauge: 0%
Shields Up: 0

A powerful pair of ice attacks freezes Dragapult in its tracks, and the creature slumps over as it shrinks down to normal size. As it dips below the surface of the water and into the depths below, the pair of Dreepy hastily plunge into the ocean after it in pursuit. “Wow, I’m amazed you guys were able to pull that off,” Gary congratulated the trainers as he held out a reward, “That had to be the closest battle we’ve had at this gym yet!”

  • 30 Watts
  • 1x TR Shadow Ball
  • 2x Haban Berries

That was a tight one but I've definitely enjoyed my first foray into the Raid game so thanks a bunch for this, Gary!
