Since they've never done new forms for legendaries in later generations, I'm guessing (and hoping for) Mewthree because gosh, I don't want something to change after this many years. I want Mewtwo to be Mewtwo darn it.

I think Mewthree used Fusion Flare in the video...because what other ball-like projectile of fire move do you know?

Or it could be a new move!

It used Energy Ball, Psystrike, Blizzard, Shadow Ball...and moves Mewtwo knows. But out of its fire moves, Flamethrower, Fire Blase, Will-O-Wisp, Fire Punch, and Incinerate, none of those match the move Mewthree used.

Fire Blast could be considered that way, instead of the normal 5-pronged version. It is a literal blast of fire in this instance.

I thought about it like that, but every time Fire Blast has been used in any game it is always the five pronged version. That is a possibility though.

It does look a lot like Fusion Flare though.

Fire Blast is called Daimonji in Japanese so it's animation will probably always involve a 大. I'm guessing it's Overheat but it could be a completely new move.

That was another thought, but it doesn't match Focus Blast either. Granted, it may just be a new animation, but looking at Focus Blast's Bulbapedia page it doesn't look at all like the most recent one.

My money is one a new move. It could also be Flame Burst.

It's either Mewthree secret experiment shit or Mewtwo does some shit in the third movie and "Genesect is fucking me up? I could use a deus ex machina right about now... SURPRISE! I evolved lol because I'm the goddamned Mewtwo".

Either way, I think this is clearly our new fighter in Smash Bros 4

Well owing to the Mew line's nature they could quite happily just make it a new version of a Mew clone, as opposed to being derived from Mewtwo. Which would make it like Mewtwo's brother, perhaps.

If they were to 'evolve' it, though, they could give it the Porygon-Z treatment. Boost a couple of stats, lower some other stats. So perhaps it's Mewtwo with higher offensive power but it's slower and has less HP. For example.

Reducing HP would be a not-so-good idea. There's a reason no Pokémon evolves into another Pokémon with a lower base HP (Sheddy doesn't count because it's not actually evolved from Nincada), and that's because if a base 50 HP Pokémon with 1 HP left evolves into a base 40 HP Pokémon, the HP would probably roll over and cause all sorts of bad things.
