Ever since his venture into the land of Fizzytopia, Jeri had been desperate to build a real team of his own. While Tetsu had bestowed upon him a fit and capable bunch, he had to admit that the satisfaction and attachment that came from raising a lot yourself wasn't quite there. He had reared many teams of his own over the years and he once again longed to do it again, especially in this vast and diverse land where his options were seemingly endless. He had already accrued a handful of fledgling members; a quiet Duskull from a friendly gentleman, a fiery Numel from a Fire expert, and a gruff Makuhita from the Egg House. While he had grown fond of his little group, he found that they were still missing something. He had sheer offense, quiet defense and great potential for force of will, but he was still missing one essential element - power.

He had been searching through all the normal means for a new recruit that would fill that gap, but with the fluctuations in the economy and his inexperience with its inner workings, he found any potential candidates quickly swept up. His luck all changed, however, when he found a little blue egg. Jeri had been adventuring outside his base in an attempt to familiarize himself with the land around him when he came upon it. It was lying in a crevasse, wedged between two rocks, with a handful of cracks running down the side. A delicate rescue operation was underwent, with a coordinated effort between his Altaria and Grumpig to gently hoist it from its landing place. He brought it back to his base, where he cleaned it up and kept it warm. After some thought, he decided it would probably be best not to hold onto this egg for too long, lest he be considered a poacher, and the next morning, made his way back to the city to surrender it to the relevant authorities.

He took it directly to the Fizzytopia Egg House, the central authority for all egg-related transactions.

"I'd like to hand over this egg, please," he reported to the attendant, who looked at him with a little bit of confusion.

"I found this egg abandoned in the Volcanic Mountains, and I thought it would be best to bring it here."

The attendant laughed under her breath, shaking her head a little, "No, it's okay. I appreciate you bringing it here, but eggs that aren't in their mothers' nests are usually considered fair game. That said, we do accept donations for our stock."

"Oh, well, then..." Just before he could finish his statement, the egg began to shake violently.

"Well, it looks like that might not be an option," the attendant chimed in, "looks like yours is about to hatch!"

The already apparent cracks began to grow, a shimmer of light seeping from the fissures. The whole egg was soon enveloped in a soft glow, and soon the shell faded, revealing a tiny little draconic form. The little blue body raised his hardened head, staring up at Jeri with sparkling eyes and jumping enthusiastically. The little dragon held out his hands, looking for a hug from his new daddy.

"Since the egg was in your possession when it hatched, it looks like it's yours now! And look, it seems he's already grown attached."

Jeri couldn't help but aww a little at the tiny dragon's enthusiasm, scooping him up for a careful hug. The Bagon gave a happy squeal, squirming around excitedly.

"So, I guess you're coming with me, huh?" Jeri asked, patting the Bagon's sandpapery head, "You're gonna need a name, though... How about Wyrm?"

Bagon seemed rather satisfied with any name he was given, nodding and chirping at his christening.

"Alright then, welcome to the team, little buddy."

Pulling a Poké Ball (5 of 18) from his bag, he bumped it on his newest member's nose, sucking the little dragon in. The ball shook briefly in his hand before clicking shut, signifying the capture. With a little grin, he placed the ball on his belt and headed for the door, excited for the adventures he would have with his new baby dragon friend.

breaks free of his egg and it appears to be his pincers snapping. He looks up at you and you can't quite gauge his expression. Hope you enjoy him anyway ^-^;;
