Allishinca here on my new account.
Thank you everyone for the welcome back's! I've forgotten a ton of things. What are our FB weekly events? I remember Day Care on Mondays (in London time, if that is still applicable?) Are BP / IQ / Contest States used at all? TMs use to be multi-use, so what is our current TM system? I kept my Gummis, but I don't remember what they do. Weekly element egg pick-ups still a thing? I never got to do it due to the 'catch a Pokemon first' restriction, which I never accomplished haha. Otherwise, I'll try reading through shops to get caught up! (Also, I gotta make enough post so I can post link, arg)! |

Welcome back!
Weekly upkeep: Daycare, Candy from Candy Store, Move Tutor (all available monday through friday) Daily reset/midnight is based on London time, GST Beauty Points/IQ have been consolidated into a new stat called Bond. There's a whole chart of how to convert previous points into Bond on the Candy Store's first post. Gummis: See Bond ^ Egg Shop is no longer a thing, but the Hatchery is where you can incubate and hatch eggs gained from breeding or elsewhere (like updater rewards) Edit: also, Contest Stats haven't changed, but there are no Contest Halls for the time being, so they don't have much use

There's Pokedollars now instead of coins!
Do coins transfer or convert at all? And I see the starter pack comes with a fishing rod. Is there a specific area that's used in or can that just be used in zone adventures? |

I'm sure she will one day But one step at a time ^^; The events are still very fresh on her mind, after all. Quote:
Yeah, Coins are out the window! They are no longer a thing. There was an event that more or less gave stuff to compensate the collect of coins... but that event is over, and there's nothing to convert them now ^^; Oh speaking of Pokédollars, not only you get them as adventure rewards and staff rewards, but you also get $250 for each adventure post you make! Fishing Rod you can use that whenever in zone adventures, yeah XP Edit: Other side note: Member stuff are no longer board-bound! Nobody's bounded/belonging to one particular forum anymore. |

And yeah, the fishing rod can be used wherever a fishing rod would be able to be used (or even not, be creative as you like with stuff for the most part). Also, welcome back! |

I'm pretty much caught up now. Another thanks for all the welcome backs and special heeey to OkikuMew who I remember joining right around the same time I did!
I do miss Jirachi's Casino. What ever happened with that? On a different topic, I was always leery about adventuring with my Shadow Pokemon and never did figure out how to use them. So, people who have Shadow Pokemon, here are some general questions for fun: What's the personality of your Shadow Pokemon? What's the relationship between your trainer and your shadow Pokemon? How about your other Pokemon and Shadow Pokemon? Any ramblings you'd like to do about your Shadow Pokemon are appreciated! |

>Shadow Pokémon
I don't have one anymore- I had a Shadow Ledian named Stewie, until I purified him. Prior to purification, he was hell-bent on world domination, and came disturbingly close to achieving it. May go into more detail when I get home from work. Also, welcome back. |

I really wish a "Shadow Spray" were among the Updator Rewards; as an alternative to Shiny Spray.
I don't know why we're so stingy with shadows. We can get shinies fairly easy and I'd argue those should be rarer: there's two games in which pretty much all you catch are Shadows, but Shinies have always been an aberration.

Jirachi's Casino is out the window too ^^; Closest thing we got now as a gambling thing is Castform's Forecast Shop, a gatcha-style game where you buy capsules and you get random items from them. |

To go more into detail about my former Shadow Pokémon, Stewie was pretty damn evil. Ever since arriving on Keith's team, he had one goal- world domination. And he viewed Keith as little more than a means to that end for a very long time. Over time, he came to gain just a little respect for Keith. Not nearly enough to warrant consistently obeying his orders, though. His relationship with his teammates was pretty strained- most of them knew how evil he was and avoided him like the plague. His relationship with Ginny (my Pawniard) was an interesting one from the start- she kept a constant eye on him to make sure he didn't harm his teammates, his Trainer, or anyone else, though eventually, they fell in love with each other, with both of them being too stubborn and insane to actually admit to such things for a long time until some of their teammates wound up intervening (not that they were planning on doing so).
Stewie kept a secret lair deep underground beneath my old Secret Base, and eventually, it was from there he put into action his plan to take over the world, which got my old Secret Base totally destroyed, leading to an epic final battle in which multiple people participated, which culminated in Stewie's defeat, my Normal Form Vulpix's evolution into Ninetales, and Stewie getting purified, in that order. Post-purification, Stewie gets along way better with his teammates. No longer evil, willing to make amends for his past misdeeds any way he can, and just overall friendly and polite. His and Ginny's relationship is going just as strong as ever, if not moreso. Quote:

That is so much! :o I'm just not sure what to do with my Shadow Slowpoke. I don't want to write him as evil, (I can't even pick mean options in video games, yo!) but also, it's a slowpoke! Anything evilly done would be p easily avoided. I do have a nice set up right now where my slowpoke is my strongest Pokemon by far, and that could lead into a nice backed-into-a-corner scenarios. That is, once I finish setting him up.

Keep in mind your Shadow Slowpoke is Psychic-type. Psychic is one of the most dangerous types for a Shadow Pokemon to have, and your Slowpoke could be seen as harmless, meaning his opponents drop their guard and are vulnerable to his mind tricks. That's how I'd play him anyway.

A big wish of mine is a Shadow Vaporeon, who I'd probably play as a mixture between Storm and the Hulk; a creature whose base emotions guide uncontrollable powers, particularly of the weather. More anti-hero than evil.

@Gemini Spark- Your Chimecho sounds great! Reminds be of a book called Flatland where, due to visibility issues, all the women characters had to scream constantly to alert others of their presence. @134- I like the anti-hero set-up at lot. Your Shadow Vaporeon concept super cool too! I don't feel like anti-hero on my Slowpoke would work, but this has been a very helpful brainstorming session for me and I know what I'm going to do with him now.

>Shadow/"Evil" Slowpoke
Although not evil, that reminds me of a concept I had for a future Slowqueen back with my old, psychic-specialized character. I wanted to base her on princess/queen Olga of Kiev, one that didn't take kindly the death of her prince on the hands of a neighboring tribe, and with her wits and taking advantage of her new status and disposition, went on a roaring rampage of revenge against them. What I wanted to do was to put a twist on Slowpoke's stereotype of, you know, being slow: I imagined how it would be to have one that, despite being physically and react-wise slow, was actually very smart and very aware of her condition. Throw in a background of being bullied about it, and then comes the evolution that adds mobility and even more smarts... cue to plotting a plan against the bullies. But yeah, due to my reset and my loss of interest of Slowpoke, that idea went down with it, but I still find it interesting |

*sees new change to Calendar rules*
Well, that had a good run. Gotta rethink the TM for my Chinchou's upcoming birthday- Brighton was gonna learn Ice Punch- but otherwise, this actually doesn't interfere with my currently established birthday plans (i have all birthdays worked out up until the end of April). |

Yeah, I'm sorry about that ^^; That rule was set up before the Bond system kicked in (back when TMs were not restricted in any way), and looking over how that part of Bond affected the Calendar was overlooked until today when I happened to reread the rules and wasn't sure anymore if this was still legit or not. One question to the mods later, it cleared things out and resulted the rule change. (I should've caught that earlier though; feel a bit ashamed of myself for that to be honest.)
