I hope you realize that Pokémon Bank does not allow you to upload items (including held items). If you don't want to lose your Mega Stones and other valuable items, you're still going to have to trade with another copy of X or Y, whether your own or someone else's.

Ah, right. Well, thankfully, my X exclusive mega stones are not too plentiful, only about 3 or four in number, which I could easily arrange for.

The rest I can get again later of I want to but if I really would rather keep them that total goes to about...ten to fourteen. That really irks me though that they don't allow items.

Double post but, Talon, I have a correction for you: Bank itself, going from the XY game, will accept items. It's pokeTRANSFER that's anal about that stuff (probably a way to keep hackers from banking Master balls they hacked in by way of legit Pokémon.) So now all I gotta do is defuse and bank Black Kyurem and I'm set.

Are you sure about that? Because I specifically remember:

1. bbb having to forfeit his Blazikenite when he banked and then reset
2. EAI having to forfeit nearly every item he owns when he likewise banked and then reset

You're often wrong about things, Myles, so no offense but I think you will want to fact check before you act in haste and fuck yourself over. Simple proof of your incorrectness found in under ten seconds. I seriously, seriously wish you would use your brain and Google things, Myles, before you proclaim that others are wrong and you are right. You do this all the time and it's gotten so old that I no longer trust anything you have to say when it doesn't line up with what I think I know.

I banked a boxful of Pokemon holding mega stones and it went in just fine. Literally about 20 or so Pokemon, every last one holding a Mega Stone, all of it went in.

Well that's a design flaw of Bank right there as I was not notified of this happening.

You need to start doing your own homework instead of expecting everyone else in your life to keep doing it for you. You're not a little boy. Ignorance coupled with laziness and a refusal to look things up is not an excuse for misinforming others. You have a responsibility to your friends, family, and peers to be sure that the information you're spreading is accurate. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes from time to time. I've made many errors in the past 24 hours myself. But when someone asserts that you are wrong about something, do not refuse to double-check whether you are right or wrong. Especially not when you are wrong often.

The worst thing about this recent experience is that you very nearly ruined your game. We told you something weeks ago that you did not want to hear, something that inconvenienced you. Rather than fact check that we told you wrong, you instead signed up for a Bank account (so there goes $5 ...) and deposited your creatures anyway. You're very lucky that the Bank app is written the way that it is, that it automatically stores held items in your XY backpack for you. Because what if it didn't? What if the items appeared to be "in Bank" while your session was still active but the moment you signed out it purged all hold items? What if that's how it worked? You still wouldn't have known this at the time you deposited your creatures -- I know this about you because everything that has just transpired proves that you did zeeeeeeero homework before depositing your guys -- and then you would have come to us hours later in tears, crying over your lost items. I'm glad that you dodged this bullet, but I am frustrated that you could have easily not been so lucky. When people tell you things that you don't want to hear, you need to get in the habit of looking up whether they are right or wrong. You need to quit plugging your ears with your fingers and pretending that we're wrong because you'd like us to be wrong. One of these days, Myles, it's going to blow up in your face when you disagree with the crowd without looking up the facts first.

Admittedly, Bank not informing you of returning the items to your bag is a poor design move on GF's part. A simple "All items have been returned to your bag from the deposited Pokemon" after the transfer if any of the Pokemon were holding items would have worked.

Yeah, and my point is I specifically out that boxful in there, expecting it to be rejected outright (like an egg or fused Kyurem) and when it went in it led me to believe it took the items as well. Kindly get over yourself and end this discussion.

XY really spoiled me. I'm playing through Diamond at the moment and the lack of variety pokemon-wise and the difficulty of keeping everything around a similar level is much worse in Diamond than XY.

A new patch was released last night, bringing the current version up to 1.3. The patch notes mention changes made to the GTS; given a recent spat of Jirachi with vulgar nicknames, many players assumed that the patch was released at least in part to address this issue.



Nope. ^^; This and many worse nicknames are still present on the GTS.

It's a good change though. For all the whining about easy mode, "difficult mode" just required like 400 extra hours of grinding. It wasn't more difficult with the exp share off, it was just less convenient.

In Pokémon X and Y, Elgyem and Beheeyem can learn Steel Wing from TM51. This is likely due to an oversight; in Generation V, TM51 contained Ally Switch, and the Pokémon are only available from Poké Transporter.
