Eon shook his head. Fear would do him no good. He had to focus. Unfortunately he would have to give up his quest of finding Mirage Island, but he could live with that. Right now he had to save Piplup. But by doing so, he could risk being stuck on Excelsior for years... Eon sighed. Piplup was more important. He would get Piplup some help even if it meant being trapped here. His focus returning to the battle, Eon watched as Dawn manages to get away from Glameow. He begins to run to the Pokemon Centre with Dawn next to him. Just as he is about to reach it, Dawn cries out in pain. Whipping around, he sees Dawn pinned by the Glameow. "Dawn!" Eon cried. He couldn't help glancing to the sky, which was shifting even more, which further increased his desperation. "Dawn, I know you're exhausted but we're so close!" Eon said desperately. "Blast Glameow into the doors with a Confusion, then use a Body Slam and finish up with a Tackle. I'm so sorry, but I'm going to have to leave you for a second. Piplup needs help and Glameow is almost finished. I'll be right back." Eon said, dread filling him with the thought of having to leave Dawn. Piplup's needs were greater at the moment. Eon took a deep breath, preparing to run inside the Pokemon Centre as soon as Dawn began attacking Glameow.

"Good job Poliwhirl!" Tom exclaimed, his victory oddly making him quite excited before drawing the tadpole's Pokéball from his pocket and returning him to it. Tom's attention shifted back to the KOed Gible and Tom started to frown. He knew his team was full but he couldn't help but feel slightly responsible for leaving him unconcious. He knelt down next to the injured landshark and sighed. Poking his hand back to his pocket, he clasped a Pokéball and tossed it from hand to hand, his face crumpled up in thought. After several moments he blinked his eyes open and brought his head down to the injured Gible's level. "Sorry about this little guy but I can't capture you," He whispered softly then clambered back to his feet. "...You can come with me if you like but I can't capture you quite yet..." Tom sprayed a potion onto Gible's wounds before depositing the Pokéball and awaiting the Gible to recover..

"That was fantastic!" She cooed to her Pokemon, who was now effectively smooshed against Kris' excessively modest bosom. "You're a real firecracker, Zuu." "Vaaaaae. Vaporeeeon." Zuu managed to wriggle out of her trainers grasp, settling in the grass nearby to lick at what wounds she had procured in the struggle. Kris, now feeling awkward on all fours, no doubt allowing an unpleasantly gratuitous view of her backside, climbed to her feet, wandering over to the downed Shinx. She poked it gingerly with her toe, frowning. "We did a right number on it, didn't we?" She muttered to herself, dropping her satchel off her shoulder and digging through it's clutter. She eventually managed to find an empty Pokeball. "I guess if we could catch it, we could clean it up, find it a home, something. I mean, jeez, you really did thrash the poor beast." Zuu looked up almost guiltily, but Kris just shrugged, lazily tossing the ball into the air, brow raised as she watch it drop down towards the Shinx... OOC: My god, been AGES since I attempted a capture. Had to sit a moment and figure out how to word the damn thing. XD

Re: Excelsior
Wow. Why aren't any of the quote boxes showing up properly? >:U Dumb forum...
~Rainforest~ thed3: You and Kilauea travel downstream, the Slugma making sure to stay on your other side, away from the water. Small shafts of sunlight reaching through the trees sparkle on the colorful stones of different shapes and sizes on the creekbed. Birdsong accompanies the creek's friendly lapping, more so now than the other sounds of the other unseen forest creatures. A Chatot flaps down from a tree just across the creek, hopping up to the edge for a drink. It dips its beak into the flowing water, craning its head up to swallow it. It looks at you, cocking its head to one side as if curious, and blinks. "Cheri cherinbo," the Chatot says in its strange birdy voice. "Hanaa!" After that, it starts to hop further downstream. You recognize the indecipherable syllables as the words the Cherubi and Bellossom used in their own language. This bird probably hangs out with them. What will you do? ~Sapphire Lake~ Jerichi: Luxord releases Will, and you give orders to the latter, starting off the fight. Buizel waits until the Plusle looks ready, then launches forth with a plan of its own. The sea weasel blasts forth with Aqua Jet, its determined countenance ebbing a little as Will's Growl reaches its ears. Will then darts forward with a Quick Attack, colliding with Buizel's Aqua Jet and sending the two of them skidding back with damage. Considering it close enough, Will is about to do a Thunderwave, but before he gets a change to charge, the Buizel squirts out a Water Gun, knocking him over and pushing him further away. Will flips back up into a standing position, flicking water off his ears, and makes a short-legged dash at Buizel with Thunderpunch. Buizel Aqua Jets to meet him again, and both of them hit, only with Buizel flying further back this time, and with added paralysis. Buizel's two Azurill friends are cheering it on heartily, but it seems to be losing, the paralysis gripping its body as it struggles to get up. Despite the situation, there is a gleam in its eyes, and a smile on its sharp-toothed face; it seems to be enjoying this. What will you do? Yami Ron: ((Look pal, if people didn't include their FB info in their sigs, I'd have to hunt down their reg posts myself and that would take too damn long. Please post your info in your signature (which can do without the overlarge godawful pic you posted), or I'll just keep skipping you.)) ~Phantom Desert~ Trick-or-Treater: The Pokeball bops the unconscious Skorupi and lands beside it, opening up and sucking it in immediately afterward. The ball rolls around a bit, then lists to one side and keeps still. You caught a L.6 male Skorupi! You and Jalhalla, the latter's condition improved thanks to the Antidote, continue walking toward the somewhat vague shape. Fortunately, instead of disappearing as a mirage would do, it grows larger the nearer you come to it, proving itself real. Soon you arrive at what seems to be an old Pokemart, but it doesn't look like anyone's been running it for years. The squat brick building is getting worn away by the and, and the remains of a thin wooden sign in the shape of a Pokeball dangles from a single rusted chain above the door, the other chain broken off, leaving the sign to twist crazily in the wind. "Not much out here to see, boy," says a gruff voice, and you jump as you notice a wiry-looking, swarthy-skinned old man leaning against the wall right next to you. Maybe you just didn't see him when you came in because the sun was so bright? "If ya need a rest, it's cool inside. Wouldn't recommend goin' out any further, though." He tilts his head to squint above with faded grey eyes. "It's gettin' close to time." It looks like you've found a place to get out of this blistering heat, at least for the moment. What are you going to do now? ~Bethla Meadows~ Dream Breaker: Looking pained with her mouth hanging open, Circe struggles to lift her head as the Carnivine wrings the very life out of her... and snaps down on one of its leaves with a ferocious Bite! Carnivine hisses in pain, a sound quite different from the one your serpent makes, and flaps its sensitive leaf about, retracting its other leaf and vines instantly. Circe lets go, bouncing and flopping across the grass. Her long body lies prone among the glitter, heaving for breath. Seeing this as an opportunity, the plant's vines snake out, attempting to grapple Circe in a Vine Whip, but the Ekans whips her head up and fires loads of Poison Stings in its direction, as per your orders. The Carnivine howls painfully and brings its leaves up to shield itself, only experiencing more agony as Circe's relentless attack pikes tiny holes in its veins. Suddenly, the Carnivine lurches to one side, out of the way of Poison Sting, and collapses, KOed. Level up for Circe! Finally victorious, Circe curls her body up and sighs; she took quite a beating. With Carnivine down, the Skitty is safe, at least from being eaten; it doesn't look in very good shape as it slowly starts to come around, trembling with a feeble meow. What will you do? |

"Raichu rai!" Luxord cheers from the sidelines. "Great, Will! Let's try another tactic! Metronome and see what you get from it! If you get a defensive move, use Thunderpunch again! If you get an offensive move, use Wish! Use Quick Attack to dodge and hit him if you need to!" Tetsu ordered, confident in his luck. Here's a Metronome Generator if you need it. |

“Fantastic job, Circe!” Zach shouts out enthusiastically. Circe hisses in reply, battered and exhausted, and curls her body up. A faint meow brings Zach’s attention to the Skitty, who seems to be coming to after her vicious assault. Fearing for the kitten’s wellbeing, Zach realizes he still has the Pokéball in his hand, but reaches into his bag in order to pull out a Potion. “Circe, keep an eye on the Carnivine while I take care of Skitty,” he said. Zach takes the Potion, shakes it, and then pops the top off of it. Looking down at the cat pokémon, he starts to spray the Potion onto it. “Skitty, that was a pretty intense situation, and being so young, I can only imagine how it affected you. This Potion will help you for the moment, but I really think I need to get you to a Pokemon Center, so,” pausing for a moment, he pushes forward the Pokéball he’s holding in his other hand, “I think that by capturing you, you’d be much safer with me. And, well, you’d be able to go on adventures, travel the world, be with friends. I’m sure you’d get along with the rest of my squad. Let’s get to the Pokemon Center, before this place disappears.” Zach glanced at the sky; it was only getting worse, despite the beauty, Zach was beginning to get nervous. Gently, he tapped the Skitty on the head with the Pokeball. |

Look, pal, I already provided information regarding my Pokémon that I brought into the zone to begin with. That should of been adequate enough for my adventures here. This has never been a problem before for any other Zone Assistant or Official. You shouldn't be any different. And you shouldn't disrespect the Dark Magician Girl like that. Such blasphemousness.

Re: Excelsior
*sigh* Let's sort this out.
Firstly, we do ask that FB stats are kept in your sig and that if you'd rather not do that then a link to your registration post at the very least will be appreciated so that updators can look up your Pokémon's statistics if and when needed. Even our newest members are aware of this as you can see if you check the Arcane Realm. Secondly, posting Pokémon statistics in your introductory post isn't the best way to go about informing updators of what you have for several reasons. Stats change, you may switch Pokémon in and out of your PC, etc, etc, Registration is (or at least SHOULD), always be up-to-date, and updators won't need to search back through the thread to find the information they need when it should be readily provided for them. Next, Rat is perfectly within her rights to ask of this. Ron is well within his rights to not want to add his stats to his sig. However, a happy medium can always be met if a Registration Post link is posted with each reply. Showing each other a little respect is all that is asked. Now, since time in Excelsior is running short, let's get on with this. I've had a very long day and I'm mentally shattered, but I'll try to get an update for my group up tonight. If not, it'll be tomorrow. In conclusion - get into adventure gear and have fun. Happy RPing! *whooshes off to update land* EDIT: Make that tomorrow. Too tired to finish them tonight.

Picking herself up Stacey checked for any injury, finding that she was alright she checked her pokemon. Wraith was scuttling voer to her his red eyes finally registering the creepy sand people surrounding them and Zabini had leapt up her back and was clinging on to her neck for dear life, shaking with fear. Noticing that their capture had been set free on of the sand people angrily rushed forward, as if gliding through the sand itself. Narcissa floated in front of Stacey to protect her and fired off a black bolt of ghost energy that struck the sand person sending its form into pieces the sand floating through the air and landing softly back down on the ground. Stacey grinned at the success of her Gastly's attack before her smile turned into a grimace as the sand shifted and another person rose from underneath. "Oh great," she said sarcastically. "They can simply reform from the sand beneath them ... this is more of a problem than I'd hoped," she added getting a strange look from her Gastly, Narcissa pretty much wondering how good she thought this situation could be. Stacey shrugged her shoulder nonchalantly and set her glance on the leader ... why had he singled them out? She stepped forward and Zabini shook harder realising that they were getting closer to those ... things! Keeping her sights on what seemed to be their leader Stacey addressed him. "Why are you doing this?" she asked simply. "What have we done ... what have I done to make you act this way, to make you attack us like this? Tell me so I can make this better for all of us." she asked politely whilst all the time Zabini was babbling on her shoulder begging her to move away from them. Without moving her line of sight Stacey addressed her two other pokemon. "If they try anything again, then I'll need you to defend us. Wraith how about we try a little type advantage. Use Aurora Beam and Bubblebeam to keep them at bay. Narcissa, I know it wasn't all too effective but it bought us a few seconds so keep up with Night Shades and Psywaves." If the situation got too dire she would withdraw her pokemon, she wouldn't risk them getting hurt. Unknowingly her hand hovered over before softly touching a black and red Rocket Ball at her side. He was a last resort. He was always a last resort, but they may need to escape this bind and he would be the best for the job. Sighing she closed her eyes feeling a sense of dread wash over her, and this had nothing to do with the sand people threatening them.

Suddenly across the creek a small bird flies down and drinks from the creek's edge. Not knowing what sort of pokemon it is Thed quickly points his pokedex at it. "Chatot: It can learn and speak human words. If they gather, they all learn the same saying." "Hmmm... interesting. A bird that can imitate speech." The Chatot then speaks in both the Cherubi and Bellossom language. "Wow. That's cool it can even speak other pokemon languages as well!" "Sluuuuuuugggg...maaaaa..." "Boring? Well probably to you Kilauea... Well since you don't find any sort of appeal out of Chatot let's just keep heading downstream then to see whether something else will actually interest you."

Sappire Lake
quilava plush: The young male trainer looks at you with piercing blueish/white eyes as he then responds to your challenge, "Okay kid, I accept your challenge. Wouldn't mind beating a nosey kid before my leave. Rampardos! Focus Energy and use Cut on a three and then throw it in the little chickens face with Strength!" The Rampardos nods with a knowing grin at his trainer before both Blaziken and Rampardos roar as they use Bulk Up and Focus Energy respectively. The Rampardos quickly goes to the side and cuts a three but before it turns towards Blaziken the ground below it starts shaking as Blaziken attacks it from underneath. Quickly retaliating from the attack the Rampardos gets up and as it gets ready to throw the three, it get cut in half as Blaziken Rock Smashes it sending Rampardos back a few feet. It growls angrily before the kid starts screaming, "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING RAMPARDOS?!?! Leer it down until you are close enough to hit it with an Iron Tail and then punch its clocks out with a Focus Punch! Make sure you hit it this time!" The Rampardos growls as it gets ready to follow its trainers orders...

Re: Excelsior
While the phenomena taking place in the Excelsain sky is if no concern to the natives of the land, trainers are becoming gravely concerned and are leaving the island in droves. While some fly over the sea, others surf across it or board the Arctic Breeze for the journey home. The swirling clouds are now a deep shade of magenta, the air is shimmering with a mysterious energy unknown to mankind, and more than three parts of the land is now affected by this strange, yet beautiful atmospheric event...
Neptune Cove Lee-san: I wasn't sure if your reply was an exit from the zone. If it was, please feel free to ignore this update. Leaving Mt.Sierra behind, you head toward Neptune Cove seeing as the changes in the Excelsain sky are beginning to concern you. Upon your arrival you notice that you're not the only one who has thought of leaving Excelsior as several trainers are already heading out, some upon their flying Pokémon, some surfing out on their water Pokémon, and others boarding the Arctic Breeze for it's next return trip to the mainland. Some Excelsian locals are seeing off trainers they'd met on their journeys, and several photographers are standing around snapping pictures of the sky as the beautiful swirling colours deepen and spread further across the continent. It seems the ferry is about to sail and a sixth sense is telling you this may be your last chance to hitch a ride. Looking around, you ponder over whether to board the ferry or to perhaps speak to some locals... ZoraJolteon: Deciding its time to say goodbye to Excelsior, at least for the time being, you mount Tropius before he takes flight, soaring across the land and testing out his new skills while you scan above and below for signs of anything worth investigating. Finally approaching the Excelsian coastline, you spy many new water types migrating off the land via the ocean while birds of all kinds are flying off into the distance - perhaps in search of a new home, or perhaps just to explore. There is even a large vessel with Raptor Island logo on the side sailing back to the mainland with countless types of new Pokémon species on board. Flying over top of Neptune Cove you see trainers boarding the Arctic Breeze ferry, preparing to return home while photographers are snapping shots of the strange, yet beautiful phenomena in the sky. Many Excelsian natives are gathered along the beach, some saying their farewells to trainers they've met while others appear to be waiting for something. What that could be, you're not quite sure, and you mull over your choices for a moment. Perhaps ask someone what is happening with the impressive light show in the skies, or to simply continue on your way... Neptune Beach Alilatias: The nurse nods, now having a clearer understanding of the situation and extremely grateful you had been there to help. Explaining that the offer still stands, she is willing to allow Buizel to stay with its little friend if it wants to and that you're welcome to return and take both of them when the time comes. She knows this is a decision you'll need to make on your own though, as adding one new Pokémon to a team is an important decision and you're facing the possibility of adding two even if the second is a few months away. Patiently awaiting a response, the nurse watches while you turn your attention to Buizel and offer it a position on your team. The little sea weasel appears to be torn apart. It doesn't want to leave Shellos, but it knows that its friend won't even know its here - at least during the first month of its recovery period considering the amount of medication the poor little sea slug is on. After several seconds of debate, Buizel smiles at you and nods, its little eyes lighting up though there is an expression of sadness as well as joy. With the acceptance of your offer comes ownership of a Lv.5 male Buizel. Leaping down from the Pokémon Centre counter, Buizel disappears inside of the room Shellos is staying in while the nurse smiles at you. You both know Buizel wants to say his goodbyes, for even though you may have every intention of returning when Shellos is better, many things can happen in the immediate future that could very well delay your return. There is an unspoken knowledge in the air that this may be the last time Buizel ever sees his little friend and so you both wait until he's ready. Several minutes later Buizel exits the room, a little tear running down his cheek before he walks up to you, places his paw in your hand and prepares to leave the Neptune Beach Pokémon Centre by your side while loving thoughts and images of happier days with his little blue friend fill his mind... Mt. Sierra ForeverFlygon: Starly tries desperately to evade Nookie's Sky Attack but is just too tired and too slow, taking a heavy hit from the attack. This little birdy is a fighter though and isn't about to go down easily, zipping around and striking Nookie with Aerial Ace only to be met with quite a painful peck to the neck. Both Pokémon are looking worn out now, both tired and both very sore, but Starly is determined to show just how Brave a Bird it is, putting every ounce of remaining energy it has into one powerful attack and slamming heavily into Nookie whose beak pecks hard into Starly's wing as the attack collides. Time seems to slow down for a moment while both Pokémon meet before they both begin to fall, completely drained after a quick, yet powerful battle. Hitting the ground with a sickening thud, you take a step closer to the rumpled feathery heaps laying motionless in the dirt only to find Nookie twitching before hopping up and looking down at the KOed Starly with an expression of relief in his eyes. It appears he's won this battle after all, though it was a very close call. (With Nookie already being Lv.100 a level is for his win is pretty useless *tosses you a candy in lieu of the level*) Rainforest Pearls Perap: With Buneary being the newest member of your team you decide to take a trip to the rainforest even though the unnatural events taking place in the Excelsian sky is becoming a matter of concern. Leaving Bethla Meadows behind, the allure of new and strange Pokémon overrides your common sense and a couple of hours later you find yourself walking through a beautiful tropical rainforest. It's a little humid, but that's only to be expected in a place like this, and the sounds of wildlife surround you. Birds are chirping in the trees above, forest creatures are going about their business, and a strange bird call rings out shrilly, echoing through the forest. The panicked shriek isn't quite natural and so you follow the sound only to find a Chatot dangling from one leg, caught up in the largest Ariados web you've ever seen. It's trying desperately to escape, flapping its wings about wildly and attempting to peck the sticky webbing off of its limb. The only thing its succeeding in doing however, is tiring itself out while its panicked cries draw the attention of several forest creatures. If it doesn't escape quickly, the Ariados who made that web will be coming back for a nice fresh meal and considering the size of the web, you're not sure you want to see what made it... Joshua: While the Excelsian sky turns to a deep shade of magenta, Tessie races across the land with Roxas enjoying every single second of the adrenaline pumping ride. An hour later she's walking slowly through the lush, tropical rainforest spanning through Mt. Sierra'a deep valleys, the powerful Arcanine a little tired after the trip, but in high spirits though she can't help but be a little more concerned than you regarding the strange phenomena spreading across the sky. While Roxas looks around with wide, excited eyes, you're scanning the forest for something of interest when you hear a weak cry followed by a deafening roar not too far away. Quickly altering your course, you head over to investigate the sound when you find three little baby Turtwig trapped in a nest of Skorupi while two Drapion are viciously attacking a Torterra who is desperately attempting to protect her babies... Phantom Desert Dae~Maker: Accepting Spiritomb's invitation, yet still wary of it trying something, you board the ship to find more ghost types than you've ever seen in one place at one time. Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Sableye, Misdreavus, Mismagius, Shuppet, Banette, Drifloon, Drifblim, and Duskull are all parading around a spiritual bonfire on the ship's deck. In the centre of the spectral blue flames is a pole standing around six feet high and tied to it is a boy of around twelve and a little turtle like Pokémon with a leaf on its head. On either side of the pole stand two Dusclops while a lone Dusknoir overlooks the proceedings from the deck above. Both boy and Pokémon appear to be rather distressed, and while Spiritomb leads you past the group you notice the ghosts torturing the little Turtwig by summoning real flames into the midst of the spectral blue ones. Each time Turtwig cries out in pain, the ghosts cackle insanely while the boy struggles to escape his binds and help the little grass type which you assume belongs to him. When the boy sees you, he cries, "Help me!", but Spiritomb shoots you a warning look of such menace that you know if you try anything you'll find yourself in the same situation. Deciding to bide your time you continue to follow Spiritomb who leads you to the front of the ship before stopping and nodding toward an odd keystone sitting atop a pedestal. It then looks at you expectantly as though expecting you to do something... Sapphire Lake Eon: With Glameow already quite weak you know it won't take much for Dawn to take the determined kitty down, and while leaving her to fend for herself is not something you'd normally consider there are a multitude of circumstances to take into consideration right now. Your growing unease regarding the phenomena in the Excelsian sky combined with Piplup's injuries are pushing your forward and right into the Pokémon Centre with Piplup in your arms. A split second after entering, you hear a loud thud against the door behind you as Dawn sends Glameow flying into it with a powerful blast of Confusion. Placing Piplup on the counter you then hear another thud as Dawn rams into Glameow with Body Slam and a resounding, "Meeeeeeerrrrooooow!" rings through the room. The nurse looks toward the door with her eyebrow raised, but is soon caught up with Piplup after noting the extent of the little penguin's injuries. Quickly taking the little bird she says she'll be right back when you both jump after hearing yet another thud outside, and look toward the door. More concerned with Piplup than with what is going on outside, the nurse disappears into the emergency room giving you the opportunity to poke your head out the door and see Dawn sitting beside one very unconscious Glameow with a proud little smirk on her face. Level up for Dawn. Returning to the waiting room, this time with Dawn, you wait for several minutes until the nurse returns with Piplup. The first thing you notice are the bandages wrapped around its little legs which will make it impossible for Piplup to walk and you can't help but pity the poor little bird. Handing Piplup back over the counter, the nurse informs you that Piplup will be just fine but will need plenty of rest and won't be able to use its legs for at least three weeks so she hopes you're fine with carrying it around for a while. Piplup looks up at you with a hopeful look in its little eyes, obviously wondering if the trainer who had been so kind as to have saved it from the water and then from becoming Glameow's lunch really will be interested in caring for it... S_M: With the changes in the Excelsian sky becoming of more concern with each passing moment, you're eager to finish off this battle as quickly as possible. With a sense of urgency niggling at you, you pull no punches, relaying your instructions to Ivysaur who carries them out with determined precision. Quickly recalling her Leech Seed she feels the rejuvenating effect flow through her while unleashing a Razor Leaf. The sharp leaves bombard Floatzel causing minor stinging cuts and grazes before it becomes surrounded in dark energy and attacks Ivysaur with Pursuit. With the pesky Weasel now so close, Ivysaur uses this to her full advantage by bombarding it with another round of razor sharp leaves resulting in Floatzel dropping to the ground at her feet. In one last, desperate attempt to save itself, Floatzel crunces down on Ivysaur's foot causing her quite some pain but not stopping her from finishing off the Sea Weasel Pokémon with one last flurry of leaves. Floatzel falls completely still, KOed. Level up for Ivysaur... John's Knight: With Croagunk now out of the way you feel it's time for a little change of scenery and head to Sapphire Lake. The deep blue water of the inland waterhole is breathtaking but even as you're entering the area, other trainers are leaving. Several Excelsian natives are gathered around the lake with their families seemingly unconcerned with the beautiful effects happening in the sky above, but what catches your immediate attention is a little Turtwig wandering slowly toward the lake to take a drink... Mirage Island Waterlight: Excited to have won the battle, you return Poliwhirl before reaching for a Pokéball only to find yourself hesitating over whether or not you should try catching the little dragon Pokémon. Deciding against it you instead spray some potion over its wounds and then sit by its side, waiting for it to recover. When Gible comes around several minutes later it finds you sitting there and gives you a big smile, obviously very impressed with you for having humoured it with the battle it had requested. Happily accepting your offer to have it travel with you, Gible begins walking by your side as you venture further into Mirage Island. Several minutes later a floating purple balloon captures your attention. Upon closer inspection you find it's not actually a balloon, but some kind of Pokémon...

Leaping off of Tessie's back with Roxas still on his shoulder, Joshua turns to the Arcanine. "Thanks for the ride girl, but you need a rest. Return!" A beam of light recalls the Arcanine to her ball, before Joshua returns his attention to the situation at hand. Fiddling with his Pokedex, Joshua watches Michael's Pokeball disappear into the confines of PC-dom, and he snatches up the ball that appears in its place, as well as another ball on his belt, before releasing the occupants. Arren the Crobat perches himself on Joshua's head, Pokemon and trainer both looking bemused, the Crobat unhappy about the Shinx taking up prime real estate on Joshua's shoulder, Joshua grimacing under the pressure of Arren's talons. Kenzie the Houndoom just looks at her trainer, trying not to laugh. "Alright guys, no time to waste. Arren, Kenzie, get in there and help Torterra. Arren, lunge in with an Aerial Ace to knock one of them away from Torterra, then use Sky Attack and Confuse Ray to keep it busy! Kenzie, once Arren's used Aerial Ace, get in between Torterra and Draipon, Fire Spin and Beat Up to inflict pain on Draipon, then use Safeguard to protect yourself and Torterra!" As Arren and Kenzie ready themselves, Joshua takes a deep breath, before turning to Roxas. "Little one, I need you to get into the Skorupi nest, and defend the little Turtwig babies. Use Dragon Pulse and Water Pulse to blast them away, don't let them get too close! Kenzie and Arren will look out for you if the Draipon come after you." The little Shinx cocks its head to the side, and Joshua wonders whether Roxas understood the instructions, before Roxas leapt from Joshua's shoulder, heading towards the Skorupi nest with a look of fierce determination.

"Toto?" What? It asked worriedly. "The sky... It's turning a strange colour, and there's something wrong with the tree... Even the grass and the lake look like they're being drained of colour." Falcon shuddered. She was a little bit creeped out by this, but decided her adventure must go on. "Aqua, come back," Falcon reached for her Pokeball and pressed the device. As the Totodile got sucked in, Falcon looked around and felt all alone. Everything was not quite right and there was nobody with her. "Pachirisu, come on out," The white squirrell bounded out of the pokeball happily, and quickly scaled Falcon's body to find a comfortable spot on her neck and shoulders. Falcon soon found she had a white furry scarf round her neck. She stroked the soft, silky fur for a little as she walked away from the tree. "Pachi... Pachu!" That was my home, but I have a better one now! "Yeah..." Falcon agreed. She walked alongside the lake, then turned to Pachirisu. "You know, I haven't nicknamed you yet. Since you're a boy, this narrows down the choices I have for you... I mean, I can't exactly name you Blossom, or something like that, can I?" The Pachirisu wrinkled his nose up at that name. "I'll have to think of one, but my mind's blank at the moment," Falcon walked along the lake slowly, scanning the area for anything of interest. She looked up at the sky, to see fluffy candy-floss clouds wafting along. Her gaze slowly trailed down to the fading, dull emerald trees and the rippling waters of Sapphire Lake. "That's it!" Falcon exclaimed suddenly, making the Pachirsu jump, sit up and dig his claws into her shoulders, "Classicle... I'll name you Classicle." She'd derived the name from 'Cloud' and 'Icicle'. Cloud, because they were white and fluffy and looked as sweet as candy floss, like the Pachirisu. Icicle, because it was a wintery thing, and wintery things were often white, like the Pachirisu. Classicle jumped off Falcon's shoulder and ran around in circles around her feet, chirruping loudly and happily at his new name. He then ran back up her arm and settled back down onto her shoulder, panting heavily. "You know, I'm looking for Mirage Island. You've lived here for some time. Do you know where it is?" She asked, "I mean, you probably won't, and if you do, then we can still go looking for more Pokemon and other stuff before we find the Island. But I just want to know if you can show me it." Note: I know I sent you a PM about the update, but that was because I looked at the wrong one and couldn't find it (I've been away for a few days) so please ignore the PM.

Thanking her lucky stars she remembers her CPR training, Tess immediately tends to the girl while Agent S copies her actions upon the little orange sea weasel. Before long both the girl and Pokémon are conscious, yet very weak and shaking violently. Removing a blanket from her pack, Tess pops Buizel into the girl's lap and wraps the blanket around both of them. Because she prefers to travel lightly, Tess only hopes the blanket is warm enough, but as an added precaution sits the girl in her own lap and wraps her arms around her and Buizel hoping to transfer some of her own body heat into the soaking child. Unclipping another Pokéball from her belt, Tess releases Ninetales and sends her into the woods with Agent S to collect some sticks and twigs with which to build a small campfire. Half an hour later with a small fire burning and colour returning to the girls cheeks, Tess listens while the child introduces herself as Katie and her Buizel as Wheezey before explaining how they had ended up at the bottom of the lake. With each word Katie speaks Tess finds herself becoming more and more enraged by the incident as she has never been able to understand how adults can attack defenseless children, particularly when there is no provocation involved whatsoever. With Katie finishing her story she begins crying again which upsets Agent S so much that she offers her last acorn to the girl hoping to cheer her up. Holding Katie even tighter, Tess tries to suppress the anger she can feel coursing through her all the while hoping she'll come across the two men who had done this. She wouldn't mind giving those cowards a taste of their own medicine, and if she has the opportunity will not hesitate to do so. With rather sadistic thoughts in her mind regarding what she'd like to do to those two, Tess overhears the voices of two men. They don't seem to be too close, but they're obviously within earshot meaning they're far too close for comfort. Judging from their conversation about Excelsior's coordinates, new Pokémon and plans to take over the land it doesn't take her long to put two and two together and realise these must be the same men who had attacked Katie and Buizel. Knowing the best thing for Katie right now is to be safe at home with her parents, Tess formulates a quick plan. "Well," Tess finally says in response to Katie's story using the calmest voice she can muster, "Now that you're feeling better I think the first thing we need to do is to get you home safe and sound. I'm sure your parents are worried, and the last thing I want is for you and Buizel to be hurt again. If you're willing to take a ride on a very special friend of mine, she can take you wherever you want to go." Tess gently shifts Katie to the ground beside her before rising to her feet and recalling Ninetales. Releasing Faith, Tess watches Katie's face as the beautiful golden Altaria appears in front of them. "She hasn't always been shiny," Tess whispers with a cheeky grin. "And as soon as you're safe at home I'd love to tell you Faith's story if you're interested." Turning to the lake next, Tess apologizes to Chinchou for this not being the fun day she had hoped it will be. "I'll make it up to you Fleur," she promises, "and hopefully we can return another day to see Finneon again." Smiling at the two water Pokémon, Tess gives them a minute to say their farewells before returning Chinchou to her Pokéball. Looking down at her newest teammate, Tess isn't prepared to allow Agent S to walk into the face of danger and scoops the little squirrel up, giving her a hug and thanking her for all of her help before also returning her to her Thunder Ball. With only Katie, Buizel, Faith, Crystal and herself left, Tess knows she needs to get the girl out of here as quickly as possible before the poor child comes face to face with any more danger. The changes in the Excelsian sky are also concerning her, and though she'd like to leave here soon, Tess knows she cannot just leave Katie like this with those two "G-men" still lurking about. "Faith?" Tess asks, running her hand along the Altaria's silky neck. "Please take Katie wherever she'd like to go and then meet Crystal and I back here?" "Crystal," Tess whispers so as not to allow Katie to overhear. "We're going to see what those two are up to..." Crystal shoots Tess a warning glance, recognizing the menacing tone in her trainer's voice and knowing that whatever is coming is only going to lead to trouble...

Lilblue: As the skies glow brightly and the general feel of the island get more beautiful yet worrying, you take it upon yourself to decide that enough is enough for one day, congratulating Corsola you turn to the girl you barley know, you ask if it would be alright for her to walk with you, smiling happily she nods, torty walking beside her and Corsola with you as all 4 of you make your way to Neptune Beach. As you get to the warm sands, Corsola and Wartortle happily play along beside each other, little playful water Guns shooting at each other while you talk to the girl, her name appearing to be Caitlin, asking about what happened back there, she explains that as before she was practising, when the Croconaw decided they wanted a little bite to eat, thanking you again se says if you hadn’t arrived then she wouldn’t be walking in the beach now, and she is glad as she can’t wait to enter the contest, “It’s been something of a tradition for many, many years in excelsior, whichever new area we land in we get we have the contest on who can stay underwater the longest, as we land in different areas we get different types of seas, hot, warm, cold, violent, calm it’s really awesome and I can’t wait to show everyone what I’m made of, I’ll win it this year and get the prize at the end of it, I wish you could watch, but I know new people to the island don’t really want to stay when they’ve got a lot of friends back on their continent, but if we do ever appear back in this time, I will be sure to send you a Letter to tell you how I got on.” As she finishes the bellowing sound of the Arctic Breeze sounds throughout out the land, the shimmering skies turning a bright magenta colour as Caitlin gives you one big hug, what shall you do? Ushi: As the Shinx lay knocked out on the ground, you look down in surprise at the power that Vaporeon just showed, as you look down you grab a Pokeball from your belt, holding it out and enlarging it, the ball then flying in the air towards Shinx, scooping ti up as it rocks back and forth, landing on the ground, after 3 rocks a nice white glow emits from it, the ball stopping as you Capture yourself a Male Shinx who’s level 5, what shall you do? Arc: Looking in horror as the once destroyed sand person gradually shifts back into place where it stood, you think quick and hard on what to do, holding your belongings tight you hear the shout of one of them as one more runs towards you, ordering Kabuto to attack as quickly as possible a brightly coloured Aurora beam flashes into the air, the sand person silently freezing into place, as Gastly fires a night shade at it, the ice shattering into bits, holding out for a second you notice that it didn’t reform, holding onto your plan you see the leader point his sword forwards, the 3 more running towards you, ordering more attacks, kabuto lets loose a Bubblebeam that turns the sand folk into a mushy pile of mush, “Oh little girl you don’t know what mess you’ve got yourself into,” as the leader finishes his sentence the rest of the group join up beside him, the five of them morphing together as they transform into a sandy version of a Charizard, the sands flying up around him as they form, a loud Roar emitting as it fires a flamethrower at Gastly, the ghost Poke phasing away just in time, as the monster starts, you order attacks again, the Aurora Beam from Kabuto slicing off one of the wings as Gastly fires off a night shade, the Charizards mouth taking a hit, but the flames still come as Gastly gets hit hard, floating back up Gastly lets out a Psywave, the beams ringing in the Charizard wear keeping it at bay for now, what shall you do? Tessie: Having Katie close by as she tells you what happened you feel the grip of your arms grow tighter around her, wanting to keep her close by for good to keep her safe, as you listen on at the eerie conversation the two men seem to be making you try to work out if these are the G men or not, but from the way they’re talking it points to you that they may as well be. As they trail off you try to keep an eye on their foot steps, releasing the beautiful shining Faith into the woods you smile happily as Katie gets the biggest dazey eyes on her, looking on at how cool Alteria is looking, smiling up at you she gives you a hug and hops on Faith, “Thank you for your help, I don’t know how I can repay you, but I know you’ll always be in my heart and I hope we can meet again cause I wanna play with your awesome Pokemon,” as she finishes she smiles at you while rummaging in her hair, after a couple of seconds she pulls off a gold looking hair clip, a red gem in it, “This is a present from my granddad and I want you to have it for helping me, when I get home, I’ll explain to my parents what happened and who Faith is, they’ll understand why I gave it you so please take it.” Jumping off of Faith she gives you one more tight huggle and hops back on as Faith takes to the skies, as she goes you turn your attention to the men in the woods, hearing their voices in the distance you take leave into the woods, slowly approaching them as a magenta shimmer flashes before your eyes, the trees turning a odd colour but non of it even phasing you, “Yeah the boss is gonna be happy with this, he said to stay on and whatever happens he wants word of what happened no matter what happens to us, I just hope that we don’t die or any…” not fininshingt hey’re sentence they turn around, the crunch of a branch taking their interests as they come closer towards the bushes, “What was that?” one of them says to the other, “I have no idea but whatever it is, best pay my Pokemon need a bit of a workout.” “Yeah, mine too,” as you look on they both clutch Pokeballs the one on the left releasing a Mightenya and the one on the right releasing a Wheezing, both Pokemon scanning your general area, before one perks up and pointing right towards you, the two galactic members looking on at you with a wicked grin on their faces, what shall you do? Raichu: As treecko gets slammed into the tree you look on worryingly, but with confidence Treecko springs back into action, happily ordering your attacks Treecko nods, turning around and spring boarding himself towards Buizel, the weasel firing a Water gun but as Treecko Flies towards him it doesn’t even notice as he starts t grow a bright Green, his mouth emitting a Smokey green colour as it unleashes a Dragon Breath towards Buizel, the beam hitting the weasel poke as Treecko slams into it, knocking it down to the ground and knocked out, a Level for treecko, what will you do? |

Upon hearing the orders of the trainer, Rivka devised a plan to hopefully overcome it. "Hokage, use Quick Attack to zip right in front of it and give it a nice Sky Uppercut. When it tightens its focus, give it a nice taste of your Hidden Power [Grass]! Show no mercy to that numbskulled fossil!"

Though hesitant to accept an heirloom as a gift, Tess graciously accepts the golden hair clip from Katie all the while admiring the red gem set into it. She'll never dare wear it for fear of losing it, not to mention Tess isn't really a hair clip kind of girl, but she'll ensure she keeps it tucked away safely as a memento of her meeting with Katie and Buizel. Returning the young girl's hug, Tess only hopes today's events don't emotionally scar the child considering the sheer violence of the acts committed against her and her Pokémon. "You take care, ok?" Tess says, playfully ruffling Katie's hair. "And you too," she continues, looking at Buizel with a twinkle in her eye. "You take extra special care of this girl of yours or you'll have me to answer to." Winking at Buizel so it knows she's only messing with it, Tess watches while Faith soars above the lake and heads off in the direction Katie has instructed. As they ascend, Tess's eyes are drawn to the clouds which are now a deep magenta and covering more than three quarters of Excelsior. Whatever is going on, she's not sure she particularly wants to be here when it reaches its climax and from the look of things that isn't far away. Hoping to see the young girl again one day, Tess takes one final look as Katie and Faith disappear from view before turning her attention back to Crystal. "I'm sorry Crys," Tess apologizes, "But I'm going to have to return you for now because I'll need your help later and if anything happens to you we're all going to be in very big trouble. I promise I won't do anything rash, so please don't worry because I'll have Tempest with me." This last statement results in a frown of disapproval from the elegant dragon and Tess smiles, knowing Crystal adores Tempest but isn't too impressed with her rashness at times. In fact, Tess and Tempest are quite often seen to be two peas in a pod due to their similar personalities. Both rash, both hot-tempered, and both a force to be reckoned with when anything or anyone attempts to interfere with or harm one of their own. "Trust me," Tess grins cheekily, causing Crystal to sigh with resignation before reluctantly returning to her Luxury Ball where she is helpless to protect both her trainer and teammate when they inevitably get themselves into trouble. Thankfully Faith is still out there and will be able to intervene if Tess allows her emotions over Katie's assault to override her basic judgement and common sense. Releasing Houndoom, Tess gives her a quick rundown of the events of the past hour or so before the two head into the woods by the lake. It isn't long before Tess hears the two men speaking again and follows their voices, listening intently while trying to uncover exactly what it is they're up to. Unfortunately the random snapping of a twig beneath her foot alerts them to her presence and they immediately take an offensive stance, ready to battle. Tempest growls, the hair on her back raising while she bares her teeth at the Mightyena and Weezing now facing them. Tess knows the fact Tempest has been cooped up for so long will be beneficial right now, as she's itching for a fight and is now facing the perfect outlet - child killers. "Alright girl," Tess says calmly. "We need to finish this quickly so don't go easy on them. We need to give it everything we've got if we're going to keep Katie safe. Once we have these two goons at our mercy we'll take them to the authorities on the mainland and ensure they're locked away for a very long time. Use Pursuit to get in between Mightyena and Weezing then release a Smog before Faint Attacking your way back over here and unleashing a Blast Burn - but watch out for the trees. That ought to do the trick..."

They sat down on some rocks, and watched as their Pokémon played in the shallows under a pink, shining sky. Laughter and splashes could be heard as the Pokémon ran around and dived under the water, surfacing back up to fire short bursts of water at each other in an intense but lighthearted target shooting game. Jess smiled wistfully as she watched them play, and finally turned to the girl sitting beside her, deeply wishing to form a bond with her like their Pokémon. After a moment of awkward silence she finally managed to break the ice by asking the girl her name. The girl answered saying her name was Caitlin. Jessica gave her name as well, and in an attempt to start some dialogue, brought up the incident at the lake again. Caitlin nodded and thanked her again for helping her to escape the Croconaw, and began to talk about the contest she had mentioned she was practicing for, which Jessica was extremely interested in hearing about. “It’s been something of a tradition for many, many years in Excelsior. Whichever new area we land in we have the contest on who can stay underwater the longest. As we land in different areas we get different types of seas; hot, warm, cold, violent, calm." Caitlin's face began to light up as she started speaking about her personal aspirations, talking much faster and with assurance. "It’s really awesome and I can’t wait to show everyone what I’m made of. I’ll win it this year and get the prize at the end of it." Her expression then became somewhat pensive as she looked at her companion with compassionate eyes. "I wish you could watch, but I know new people to the island don’t really want to stay when they’ve got a lot of friends back on their continent." She then smiled brightly. "But, if we do ever appear back in this time, I will be sure to send you a letter to tell you how I got on.” Jess nodded happily. "I'll look forward to it," she said. "And good luck in the competition." Just then, the girls heard a low bellowing sound, and turned to see the Arctic Breeze standing majestically against a backdrop of eddying pink clouds, signaling to trainers throughout the land that it was almost time to leave. Jess turned somewhat sadly to her friend, who surprised her by unexpectedly giving her a great big hug. Jessica blinked in shock, then smiled and tentatively returned the gesture. "Thanks for coming with me," she whispered shyly as they broke away. Caitlin simply smiled and nodded, understanding. Jess then turned to look towards the ocean, where the tortoise and coral Pokémon had stopped chasing each other and were standing watching the ship, in awe that it had made such a loud noise. "Haruki!" she called out to the coral Pokémon, "We're leaving now!" She couldn't bear to look at Caitlin as she said this, fearing the tears that were already beginning to form in her eyes. The Corsola shouted in answer and bounded up the sands towards his trainer, followed by the tortoise who hurried instead towards Caitlin. Jessica knelt down and petted her Corsola, her smile wavering slightly as she kept her hand on top of him. After a minute, she breathed a melancholic sigh and stood up, turning once again to her friend, planning to say something along the lines of goodbye. Before she could, Caitlin grinned and said: "I hope we get to meet again someday." Jessica blinked, then beamed and nodded. "Yeah." They boarded the ship, just her and Haruki. When the SS Breeze finally took its leave after waiting for the rest of the trainers to board, Jess stood on the deck along with everyone else, looking out at the beautifully magnificent land known as Excelsior. She spotted Caitlin standing amongst the cluster of natives who came to see the ship off, and waved to her. She and Torty waved back. Jess stared at the continent and the swirling circle of pink atmosphere floating above until both were completely out of sight. Above her head, strange new species of Pokémon were flying off in all different directions, headed towards the many different regions of Fizzy Bubbles, where she would soon return. OOC - Thank you for having updated me, Arn. And thank you to Tess as well as everyone else who helped out with this zone. It's been a great pleasure Adventuring in Excelsior, and the quick updates have really gotten me interested in writing frequent replies again. It was a really wonderful experience, thank you. <3

"So..." Grey says warily, "you want me to pick up the keystone?" With no other response from the Spiritomb, Grey thinks before acting, "Well, they have the stone on top a pedestal, signaling some form of worship. Maybe I shouldn't touch it. But then again, what if it's a test? And that boy, I need to rescue him and his Turtwig. I'll have to play along for now until the oppotune moment comes. Coriolis has her first orders, but a group of this size could be dangerous. I need to move slowly here and make sure no mistakes are made. I'll bow to the stone first, in a show of reverence, then pick it up. Maybe the Spiritomb wants me to take it somewhere." Then, with the Spiritomb looking on, Grey fold his hands at his sides, and plans to perform a perfuctory half bow-half nod before reaching out to grasp the rock.

"Oh my..." Zak gasped, he had aspired to capture a pokémon just like that ever since they had first been discovered living in the Sinnoh region, sliding a metallic red object from his jeans pocket, he clicked a button on the side, a voice began; 'Chatot, the Music Note Pokémon, Chatot keeps rhythm by flicking its tail feathers like a metronome. It imitates human speech.' "This little guy is definitely something I would care to add to my team, even if it means...releasing Buneary.." Zak thought to himself, he knew it would be his only choice in the end, though he and Buneary were new friends, he knew he could not dwell, a Chatot would make a far more interesting notch on his team for sure, but he would decide on that later, now, he had to free the little parrot, unclipping a new grass-coloured sphere from his belt and throwing it into the air, Zak began, "Kerry, GO!" He cried, almost immediately, a large toad-like dinosaur appeared, her flower in full-bloom, Kerry was Zak's starter pokémon that he befriended as a child, when she was a Bulbasaur, now, a powerful yet still beautiful Venusaur, she looked rough and ready. "See that web up there?" Zak pointed out to the flowering pokémon, "Use the best Razor Leaf attack on it that you can muster, aim for the bits connecting the web to the trees, by no means can we let Chatot get...eaten.." Oh...no..That's only just sunk in, if I don't act quick, my favourite pokémon will be eaten before my eyes... OOC: If I release Buneary, can I capture this Perap? And another thing, IF that IS allowed, can I just re-used Buneary's pokéball or will I need to purchase another?

"Aw, don't worry, little buddy. We'll be able to come back one day, I'm sure of it," Soruta said to the sad little Buizel - her new companion on her strange journeys around the world. The thought of having Buizel seperated from Shellos pained her - but there must have been a reason as to why Buizel decided to join her. As she left the Pokemon centre with Buizel, the both of them began to notice the strange swirling sky above them - what this meant, neither knew, although they had an idea on what it could mean. Kairu was relaxing and waiting near the sandy banks of the beach, but he had a puzzled reaction when he saw Soruta and a sad, teary Buizel together - yet no Shellos. "Kairu... The Shellos is going to make it, but he'll have to stay in the Pokemon Centre for a few months. Maybe we can pick him up after those months are over, if we can. But for now, we'll have to leave the island. However, Buizel has decided that he would like to join us on our adventures. I'm sure he'll make great friends with the others in our team, don't you think?" Kairu responded with a faint, "Mannnnn..." as he splashed around to turn towards the sea. Soruta and Buizel climbed onto Kairu - Buizel holding on tight to her shoulders. Soruta screamed as the next wave pounded the beach, "Come on, let's return to the continental world of Fizzy Bubbles!"

"Roo." came Tropius' response, as he also watched the flocks of Pokémon departing the island. "Well, one of them must be able to give us a nice explanation of what's going on." Zora theorised. "Tropius, set me down near the humans. I'll have a word with them about what's going on. While I'm busy, find some of your fellow flying types. The Pokémon are probably more in tune with the forces at work here." Grabbing a Great Ball from his belt, he spoke into it once again. "That goes for you too Slowqueen." he told the inhabitant. "You can ask the water types what's going on. And also serve as translator. Unfortunantly I don't speak Tropius as well as I'd like." Patting Tropius twice on the side, the beast got the message, flapping his wings as he commenced his decent down onto the beach.
