Except it will be, because Farfetch'd exists to get eaten. And animals that get eaten will be defecated some day.

That's disappointing news. Definitely hoping for patches too.

Footage of Dynamax during battle in action and...

looks kind of underwhelming? I guess Wooloo is supposed to be more of a defensive Pokemon but it doesn't look like Dynamaxing was too overpowered. I guess only time will tell but I was expecting a lot more.

A certain video keeps getting spammed on my feed, so I watched it and got really annoyed with the uploader's comment.

Seems a tad innocuous, what's wrong with it you may ask?

Let's magnify!
Spoiler: show

Maybe someone could give some insight into the gaming industry. I don't know jack about games, having JUST done the basics this past month. But compared to Valve, it seems like people think the same methods to pressure Valve or other US Western developers will work against GameFreak. Maybe in 2016 that naivety could be excused, but we live ain a post-LGPE world.

I'm being a little belligerent with this guy because as a YouTube he's obligated to buy and review the game, but there's no shortage of people with his viewpoint: hate a lot of what happens in the new Pokemon game but buy it anyway, thus rewarding the developers for the decision they didn't like.

Why is this?

Can't speak for everyone but as disappointed as I am that lots of the old 'mons aren't going to be in the game, I just like the series enough that I'd rather have some form of Pokemon on Switch instead of holding out completely.

Here's another tidbit of information courtesy of Smogon.

Well, first some intro. LGPE OU is divided between "normal" OU and the "candy" OU. Candy OU, because of the massive HP boosts caused by candy, is a stall based meta.

Looks like one of the chief boosts of Dynamax will be to HP.

I don't know about others, but I feel that a 50% buff in HP and a slight increase in base power for Max Moves are actually quite underwhelming for a phenomenon that increases your Pokemon's size by like 10-fold (I know there are also secondary effects with Max Moves, but still). It is very likely imo that as a Pokemon's Dynamax Level increases, the boosts it gets when Dynamaxed also increase.

My guess is that with each Dynamax Level, a Pokemon will gain an additional 5% buff in HP and an additional 5 base power for Max Moves, so that at maximum level, a Pokemon will have 2x HP instead of 1.5x, and Max Moves will have 50 more base power than what has been shown in the demo. Really hope that there will be no other stat increases.
Yikes. If this guy is right, 50 BP more for a Max Move doesn't make up for a massive double in HP. This means that almost all Dynamax Pokemon are too fat to kill while they're maxed up. Think of Eviolite Chansey with 1400 HP. Or the Big Boss with 1100 HP.
