*looks up White Horse Prophecy on Wikipedia*
*learns that Glenn Beck became a Mormon in 1999* The More You Know™ Anyway, I'd hardly say the Constitution "hangs like a thread" today, though I suppose that's not what Fox News preaches. And it says right there at the top of the article that "US presidential candidate Mitt Romney has said he considers the White Horse Prophecy to be a matter of 'speculation and discussion by [LDS] church members' and 'not official [LDS] church doctrine.'[5]" Also, "the leadership of the LDS Church has stated that "the so-called 'White Horse Prophecy' ... is not embraced as Church doctrine."

Looked up an article like that in English. Also, an interesting blog post to the same effect.

Jeri was using the data to make a hypothetical argument, that's why. |

And there was much worse voting fraud in Florida, when you vote counter is also the head of your campaign. Nice one Bush. Nice one. Romney buying voting machines means he could directly influence what votes go where. He is doing this so he can play dirty. And result is MUCH more fraud than Democrats ever did.

Could this be enough to tip the balance in a state like Ohio? Sure, I guess. But we've got some time yet for all manner of other rumors to come forward for both men. I doubt that this particular story is going to be something we look back on and say, "Wow, yeah, that decided the election." But hey: surprise me, public.

I do dearly hope it's legitimately proven that Romney committed a criminal act to use his knowledge of a company's stocks to make himself and a friend make large amounts of money while someone else got screwed.
Partially because on paper, written the way I wrote it, it sounds dangerously close to things like insider trading, which would be another offense. And I would like to see Romney's public image tarnished to the point where he'll knock it the fuck off with that stupid fucking insincere smirk he keeps plastered on his face. |

Besides, it's a pending investigation, not an actual 100% chance he did it. And I doubt he did. Quote:

Yes, of course Amras. It was meant to mock.

The only way he could have made it more obvious would have been to have text saying "THIS IS WHAT YOU SOUND LIKE" or some such.

Of course, but no one is investigating into the issue so we can't say for certain or not whether they are or not. So, if you're going to get angry about one person owning machines, you must also be angry about anyone else owning voting machines and investigate into the possibility that they also are compromised.[/QUOTE] So, did we investigate every presidential candidate for having extra-marital affairs after Clinton. Nope. Plus the fact that Obama is not a business owner, that I know of.

Regarding that nice little image that Phoopes posted, I have to say that I can easily see Romney getting the Bush treatment over here, turning America into a laughing stock with he himself being the subject of mocking humour. Just search 'Dead Ringers George W Bush' on Youtube to see what I mean.

The fact that you can't respond with anything coherent relating to the actual issue you brought up, speaks volumes. Just admit you and Jeri were wrong and we can move on. I promise I won't hold it against you. (Though I don't expect you'd do the same for me)
Quote:
Also, trying to deflect the issue won't work with me. If you're honestly angry that the election can be so easily swayed, then you must investigate both sides, not just the Republicans. The thing though is, I don't think you're interested in a fair debate on the matter. You desire one thing only and that is to disqualify Romney in whatever way possible. Quote:
But his big donors are business owners and stock holders. I'm sure if we looked hard enough we could find a similar "friend of a friend of an investor" Democrat connection on the rest of the voting machines. But Republicans don't care about the issue, and Democrats wouldn't dare try and pull up dirt like that on their friends. Quote:
