I didn't think they would but I certainly don't object to them counting!

Hello everyone,
So, in the interest of fostering discussion and giving people a comparison point to work with, we are initiating a trial run of the Move Tutor. It will be $150 for regular moves and $350 for out-of-movepool moves. Advanced Moves cannot be taught for the time being until the Happiness Point system has been fully worked out. We based these prices on the middle-ground of what was requested by the community. These prices are not set in stone. We are testing these prices to see whether the community feels they are fair, and will adjust accordingly depending on feedback and based on how the economy develops over the next few weeks and months. At this point, it's difficult to tell what the $250 per zone reply is going to end up translating to in terms of available pokedollars for your typical trainer and what they will end up spending it on ultimately, but the other mods and I feel that the best way to figure that out is to give things a try and see what works. Discussion may continue on the MT, and all other shops, as continuous feedback is important to making sure that the systems in place are fair and working optimally. We still have a long way to go, but this is another step towards operation at full capacity. Let's continue to forge on! |

Question: would there be any limit on out-of-movepool moves in terms of specific moves? Such as mons learning signature moves like Volt Tackle or legendary-exclusives like Fusion Flare?

First: Only moves that could be taught as MT moves may be taught for now. (At least for the time being.) Second: Advanced Moves are off-limits for the time being as well. If we do allow them, the Pokémon will at the very least need the same requirements as those who can regularly learn them through the MT. Third: Legendary-specific Move Tutors (such as Dragon Ascent and Secret Sword) are also off-limits for now.
