It seems that we are at an impasse of sorts...

The silence was palpable at the ruins of the former settlement of ghosts on the opposite side of Loch Bygone, as the three pokemon examined their situation. The Probopass hovered quietly, yet unstable, while the one responsible for their predicament quietly furrowed her brow, arms tensed and the one orating audibly frowning. The Galarian Slowpoke had recently acquired, with the support and permission of the Manager, a small sampling of the ore uncovered at the site, and he and Agent had been giving their own analyses of it when a large apelike pokemon wandered into the vicinity, slightly emaciated yet not showing any evident signs of exhaustion. The Darmanitan was not exactly alone, for a quartet of Accelgor had tailed her, and judging by their cold stares didn't have positive news for their presence.

"Surrender the ape and you will be spared," the leading insect hissed quietly, an aquatic shuriken at the ready. "Lord Vigil deems its continued existence a threat."

The Probopass snorted indignantly and was rewarded with a swift shuriken to the face that didn't faze the rock type as much as it should.

"...Mountain dweller. I detect another within your belongings...if you would allow me to consult with them?" the Slowpoke asked gently, eyes focused on the ice type. The starving pokemon said nothing, but slowly placed her sack onto the earth below her, before raising her fists with swiftness as the lead bug flung forth a shuriken once more.

"Your ignorance will cost you your lives. Eradicate them." it snarled, and as the Accelgor began to whirl around with incredible speed, they began to fling a barrage of stars and shurikens into the trio. The Probopass erected a shimmering wall that spread wide and began to absorb the assault.

"My guard shall not last long, Speedy. What've you planned there?" Agent whirred, as the smaller galarian variant peered at the critter before them, the scallop pokemon blinking quietly though trembling a little.

"This follower of the tides wished to avoid a fate of the chain. The Abyss willed our meeting, and I serve only as its vagrant messenger. When you have accepted what must be, then we shall rout these grubs," Gebura spoke, before nodding to the Slowpoke and Shellder.

With but a nod, the shellfish nudged a woven wreath to the pokemon, who nosed it onto his head, before approaching the Shellder.

"My mind and body are yours, as your mind and body are mine. Let us proceed..." he said before the water type clamped upon the head of the poison type, and the pair glowed, blinding the Accelgor. By the time the light had faded, the ninjas were faced with a taller, colder Slowking, who raised his hand and uttered indescribable words. Immediately, the lead Accelgor gurgled and doubled over, before the Shellder on the head gleamed and launched a swift ray of energy at it, blowing it away. The other Accelgor promptly grabbed their fallen boss and scarpered, leaving the trio alone as the ice pokemon looked at the ore.

"Armorite? Unusual, most unusual..." she mused, as Agent nodded sagely at the newly evolved pokemon, which appeared to be standing and concentrating.

"Worry not, Agent. I am still myself, and my new companion will do us well in our future endeavours."
