"Ore?" She squinted in the direction he'd gone flying in. It took a moment, but a dark smudge pulled itself out of the snow, brushing the remaining snow off of itself and grumbling under its breath. "Doing okay?" He looked over to her at the question and nodded, chittering under his breath as he shot a dirty look up at the sky and then at their opponents. "...clearly, he's already Plotting Nasty things to do to them, so let's just move on to the next thing," Melissa muttered to herself, before raising her voice. "Once you're done thinking up all the ways you'd like to screw them over, let's try hitting the giant Abomasnow with Confuse Ray and then Dazzling Gleam." Ore blinked and then glanced down at his claws. "No, let someone else hit it close up. Then we can sneak up from behind and hit it again." Ore tapped a claw on his chin thoughtfully as Wildfire popped his head out from where Melissa had stuffed him into her jacket. "Cyndaquil quil cyndaquil." Ore grimaced and then nodded, turning to face the giant Abomasnow and Snover once again.

“You’ve done great, Rena,” he called out as he held up her Christmas Ball. Rena looked a little disappointed that it was already time to return, but her deep breaths were a telltale sign that Gary didn’t want to risk putting her in danger. The Stantler obediently returned into her ball as Gary gazed up at the Abomasnow. An idea suddenly popped into his head as he pulled out a familiar Luxury Ball and tossed it. “Come on out, Akame!” he called out as the ball popped open, revealing a Pawniard in a bright light. The steel type Pokemon looked around at her setting and then found the giant opponent before her. “Alright Akame, it’s time for a little redemption, how’s that sound?” Gary didn’t need to ask her twice as she quickly nodded and bared her bladed hands. “Good. Let’s start off by building up your Iron Defense. This foe is a lot tougher than the ones you were battling before! After that, get in there and hit it with an Iron Head and then follow it up by getting Revenge after it attacks!”

“Now you now what it’s like,” Lucas chuckled, realising the Gallade, Sigurd, must have ended up the target of the Skill Swap. Jayson, however, quickly recalled his ally Pokémon, preferring not to battle with such a disadvantage, and replaced him for his new ally; a Scizor. Lucas clicked his teeth at the sight. ’A pity,’ he thought as he would have liked the idea of having his Gallade fight alongside Sigurd. While Lucas continued his light laughter, Kong moved in with his attacks, upset and angry at the Pokémon thrown towards him. He took it out by charging a Dynamic Punch and smacking the Abomasnow across the cheek. The giant monster appeared in a daze. ’Success’ Lucas thought for a moment, until it turned out it wasn’t enough to stop it, and the Abomasnow retaliated with an Icy Punch. The attacks piled on top of one another as Kong was struck by an Icy Wind along side some of the other combatants. Blows were dealt by the Slaking’s allies as well though, among which were a Skarmory’s Sky Attack and another Abomasnow’s Avalanche. “Kong!” he turned to his Slaking, “use-“ “SLAAAA!” he protested as he took in the sight of the other Pokémon attacking the wild Abomasnow. Lucas pondered for a while what Kong was arguing against when it hit him. Sigurd must have had the ability ‘Justify’. Lucas’ own Gallade had the exact same ability, and it made him a noble combater who preferred honest battles. Gang-ups from an entire team against one Abomasnow didn’t seem fair, even if it was one who was particularly large and savage. Kong, a berserker who preferred brutish tactics, was quite unlike Rags, but gaining the ability ‘Justify’ with Skill Swap in all likelihood made Kong adopt the Gallade’s personality as well. But rather than taking up Sigurd’s quirks, Rags’ extended stay in his surroundings must have rubbed off his sense of Justice. Lucas contemplated deeply on the problem with a simple ‘I see’. There was no clear way around this. Best options were to focus on one Snover at a time instead, as that wouldn’t have to violate Kong’s newfound sense of ‘justice’. “King-Ki!” Kong yelled, pointing towards the rubble on the mountain-side caused by the Abomasnow’s Avalanche. Stones and boulders had chipped and cascaded down from the ridge above where Kong pointed to next. “Sla-sla-kiing!” Lucas nodded in defeat. It was as best a plan as any. Lucas didn’t have to understand his Pokémon’s speech to understand his intention. Just like Rags’ would have, Kong now wanted to investigate the party who went after the Delibirds. The Avalanche attack may have caused trouble above, and currently only (one/)two trainers had gone after the Delibirds. For all Lucas knew, they could have been caught underneath some rubble. “Fine!” Lucas shouted with a hint of dismay. “Let’s go!” He hopped onto the Slaking’s back, slung his arms around his neck and issued the command. “Kong, Rock Climb up the Ridge.” Lucas turned one last time to Jayson while his Slaking ran towards the cliff’s side. “Thanks for all your help again!” he grinned. The plan was to scale the cliff towards Delibird’s Ridge with Rock Climb and see if Athena was in any chance trapped or in need of help. Hopefully, Kong could use Strength to move any rubble or boulders if he had to.

No... I... I have to get him out of there! Moved by uncharacteristic desperation, the Heimlan prepared to run into the battlefield and dig his friend out. But intervening quickly before his Trainer did something stupid, Guntz stepped in front of Rorik, blocking his path. "Get out of there! Can't you see what happened? Volg is..." Shaking his head, the Snorlax bent over and placed a reassuring hand on Rorik's shoulder. It took him a while to understand how on earth Guntz could be so calm, but then he understood - it wasn't that the bear was being heartless, but that he had complete trust in Volg to find a way out of his predicament without Rorik having to endanger himself to rescue the dragon. "You're... you're right. But how can we?..." Sensing Rorik's concern, Zyll stepped forward and nudged his leg, grabbing his attention. Then, he motioned his head towards Stahl, giving Rorik an idea. "That's right! It... it could work!" Volg might be unable to hear him, but that didn't mean Rorik lacked means to reach his partner. Shouting would do no good, but he could rely on Stahl's Psychic power to link their minds and communicate by telepathy! He hoped... "Stahl, come closer," he asked the Shiny Starmie. "I need you to try and join my mind and Volg's, see if you can sense him beneath the snow!" Volg? Volg, can you hear me? You need to break out of there! Show Abomasnow that ice can't stop you, unearth yourself with Blast Burn!! He unclipped Volg's Ball from his belt, and prepared to spot his friend amidst the chaos that would ensue to recall him. He wouldn't risk his partner's safety any longer - Volg had done a lot, but it was time for a fresh fighter to join the battle and finish what the Charizard started!

Eclair ran a large arc around the Abomasnow. She had her eye on the thick roots that were healing it. With a swift jolt of her neck, she snapped the jaws on the back of her head down onto a root. She was able to rip through a few of them, but there was no response from Snover. She let out an angry hiss as a nearby Snover commanded another root to provide nutrients to Abomasnow. The Mawile approached the Snover and Taunted it by getting in its face. She stuck her tongue out and pulled down one of her eyelids, then ran off as the Snover began to pelt her with Razor Leaves. Eclair gave a knowing look at Athena as she stopped suddenly and chomped into one of the Snover following her. The poison she had covered her fangs in made Snover writhe in pain, and Eclair couldn't help but giggle. Looking on, Athena did the same, taking joy in her and Eclair's success. "'Clair look out!" Athena gasped as Ice Shards began to rain down on her Pokemon. Eclair tried dodging out of the way, but there were just too many. She crouched and placed her arms over her head while swinging her secound mouth around to try and ward off the attacks. Luckily, another trainer's Houndoom was quick to jump in and help. He took out the Snover still attacking Eclair, and she was able to stand up again and shake herself off. Athena noted that she'd have to thank the Houndoom's trainer later. "You ok?" She called out to her Mawile. Eclair threw her a thumbs up. "Great! Bring some more of those Snover over with Sweet Scent. Then get them worried with Fake Tears, these guys can't be that mean." Eclair nodded and snapped her jaws again. "Try to get a bunch of them this time, with Flash Cannon!" |

"Youse better heal him up, and quick, hat man," Vinny advised Keith. "Well, that goes without saying, but how?" said Keith. "What, am I just gonna run out there, maybe right into the path of an Ice Beam or something?" "No," Vinny shook his head. "You's gonna call Kyle back into his ball, send him back out right in front o' youse, and heal him up here." "...What would I do without you, Vinny?" Keith remarked, holding out the Level Ball. "Kyle, come back now!" And once the recall beam and the Heatmor it was targeting were both back inside, Keith got down off of Vinny and threw the modified Red Apricorn into the air. "And back out again!" he declared, sending back out the frozen Heatmor, now in much closer proximity. "And I got just the thing to heal him up, too," he added, reaching into his Berry Bag. "Those presents this morning were beautifully timed." Indeed, as he spoke, he pulled out the very Aspear Berry he received that same morning. His intention, to use it for its intended purpose- namely, thaw out Kyle. Once this was done, Kyle gave Keith a grateful nod. "Mor Heatmor!" he said. Keith nodded back, smiling. "Let's do this, then, Kyle. We gotta go all-out here." As he spoke, he held up his left hand. And by extension, the Z-Ring on his left wrist. Kyle's gaze met the Poisonium Z, and he knew immediately what Keith was getting at. "Mor!" nodded Kyle. He turned around and stepped forward once more, glaring up at the giant Mega Abomasnow. This was not his first time going up against a gargantuan adversary. And Keith knew- Kyle was way stronger now than he was back when they'd taken on Heatran. Kyle was capable of much more than just Hone Claws, Tackle, and Lick- even if said Lick attack had been key in revealing Heatran's weak spot- and while Kyle didn't get to do much against Mega Glalie... both he and Keith knew, this was his moment. "Let's do this, Kyle!" Keith declared, moving his arms, his Poisonium Z gleaming brightly as he did so. "Heat! Mor!" Kyle responded, copying his Trainer's movements, the pair as in sync as ever. "Our minds, our spirits, linked as one!" said Keith as he proceeded to do the Poisonium Z pose. "A power as intense as the Plague Swamp of Cascadia! Feel the poison- BE the poison!" "Heeeeeeeat!" screeched Kyle, the Z-Power flowing into him, strengthening him, souping up that Gunk Shot into something truly spectacular. "This is our true power!" Keith exclaimed. "Use Acid Downpour!!!" Code:
Kyle surrounded itself with its Z-Power! Kyle unleashes its full-force Z-Move! ... Acid Downpour |

"Atsumu!" After she recalled her little bird, Alice replaced him with yet another Pokemon brought forth in a Love Ball. She knew his old trainer was around somewhere - the birthday twin of sorts - and so she knew it would be even more important to battle well. In a flurry of hearts came a bright pink Whismur, another small creature that carried a good amount of strength within it. "Okay, little dude, time to focus in on that giant! Use howl, and then I want you to start an uproar and go in with astonish! Just be careful of how it flails around, it knows some nasty fighting type attacks. But you're smaller and faster, so use the chaos and your speed to your advantage!" Alice called out. Atsumu nodded, unleashing a mighty howl that signalled he was ready for battle, and then - as Whismurs were wont to do - began causing a big racket. That ongoing damage and aggravation would hopefully rattle the boss' senses some, and make things a whole lot easier (although maybe distract some allies, too... Whoops). Welp, couldn't be worse than causing a fissure by the waterfall, right? ... Right?

Nevertheless, she wasn't about to let such simple matters get in the way of her contributing, even just a little bit, in what seemed to be the final showdown for this skirmish. Better late than never was frequently an applicable phrase, and this time was no different. She could see Keith's ever-recognizable hat off in the distance, along with a fearsome-looking red pokemon she couldn't recognize, and couldn't help but smile a little. She had no doubt that he was preparing to drop something big on what was very obviously the enemy boss, and she had no right to try and take even a tiny bit of that glory- not with how detached she had been throughout this entire venture. "That just leaves us with one job. Elenchos, let's keep the enemies off our big players: Flamethrower any snover that look like they intend to disrupt anyone elses' plans! That should help the cleanup crew out a bit, as well." |

Given how well it had worked last time, drawing a group away and then dispatching them, it seems best for Belial to stay there and provide some back-up firepower. He might not be able to draw the enemies to himself, but he can at least help someone who can attract them deal with the resulting group. Besides, it has the added bonus of pulling the Snover farther away from the Abomasnow and everyone trying to take it down. Hopefully, the dwindling Snover will make that fight easier for everyone else. "Belial, help out with the next group of Snover as well! Hit them with two Iron Tails!" Eskil calls. "You know, Mawile are part Steel." Nyx confides slyly from her place at his side. Eskil grins at the Liepard, catching on quickly. "If you're getting overwhelmed by a big group, hit them with Smog!" He adds to Belial's orders. No worries about accidentally catching the Pokemon they were helping in the attack if said Pokemon was immune to it, after all. And Smog might work a bit better as crowd control, at least compared to Iron Tail. Belial nods back to his trainer in acknowledgement and stands ready at the Mawile's side, prepared to help. "We're making a mark now!" Alex called out as the mega pokemon took a considerable chunk of punishment, but responded by blasting an icy wind at a Skarmory, Slaking and Porygon, before Mist shifted to take some of the chilling wind. Giving a slight shake, the allied Abomasnow glowed blue before striking his larger adversary with a powerful avalanche of snow and ice, but the good news was soon to end as it unleashed a devastating ice beam, more like a frigid hyper beam in size that scathed across the battlefield, shooting down the Skarmory. Grunting at the danger, Mist turned back to find the Flareon, weakened as it was, had tagged out for a mighty Blaziken, the avian a suitable answer to the giant snowman. Alex noticed too that their mutual opponent was starting to show signs of wear and tear, yet Mist was also starting to tire despite her position. Given its size, the battle could very well drag on, and the intensifying wind didn't help Alex much as he hunkered down, the cold starting to make him ache. "Mist, you capable of going a couple more minutes there?" he asked, his Abomasnow responding after a brief pause with a hefty nod. Yes, he was starting to tire, but he was still brimming with mega energy, and could certainly leave his mark. "Just what I wanted to hear. Rush into it and punch it in the face with a brick break, then take your close proximity to dig your claws into it with a toxic to let that wear it down over time, then show our opponent who's boss. Take aim, and try and bowl em over with a giga impact! Demonstrate you can come out top in this abominable snowdown!" At the very mention of that last phrase, Alex had the feeling of countless eyes judging him for the terrible joke, as Mist furrowed his brow, gave a small shake of disappointment, then turned to his larger adversary, ready to make this round count. |

“Ok Glitch, you’re about to get on the defensive, but hear me out: we’ll have to act with tact, speed and precision, so pay close attention to me and the battlefield!” “Priiiii~” the Porygon stretched its legs and tail in sudden movements, getting itself ready for whatever strategy she had in mind. “Goodie! Now, the plan here is to make sure you don’t get hit by any grass attacks, and that whatever next attack you get hit is another ice one-” Glitch suddenly interrupted her with a chuckle, and a glimpse in its eyes that could only be described as wanting to give a big grin, despite its lack of proper mouth. Mélina gave him a puzzled look, until it dawned on her why it was reacting that way. “Ha ha ha. Ice one, nice one...” She shook her head side to side in annoyance, but her smile betrayed her attitude. “Anyways,” she did her best to be serious again, “We need to make sure the next attack you get hit by is ice-typed again, so you can try and convert into a different type other than water. If they’re smart enough though, they won’t do that on purpose. So we’re going to have to take that purpose for ourselves instead. See where I’m getting at?” Glitch nodded in understanding. “Good. So first, pay attention to your surroundings: with your Agility, dodge all non-ice attacks coming your way, until you see a Snover or the Abomasnow getting ready to unleash any ice type attack - bonus points if it's targeting another Pokémon! When you do, jump into the fray of the attack so you get hit by that ice! As soon as you do, Conversion 2, a-sap, so you can change your type into something more useful than water! And finally, best you Recover - you’ll probably have taken quite a bit of damage at that point. Better put that Bunny Suit in good use!” Last edited by OkikuMew; 01-14-2018 at 12:05 PM. |

While the creature was thoroughly confounded by the confectionary assault, it decided to turn the tables by boasting pridefully, shrugging off the sugar shower with a sneer that goaded the giver's sweetness into rage, raising her strength but simultaneously making her see red. Jess grimaced, realizing that with the Vanillite's current range of attacks the boost would hardly benefit her specific skillset, but moreover concerned for her safety should she allow bitterness to blind her. "Don't let it get to you, Kim!" she called, hoping her words would be heard by the cross cone. "Take a deep breath, and let the anger out of your system with UPROAR! And if you get a chance, eat a piece of chocolate; I'm sure it will make you feel better. See if you can gather them up to give to others as well; try not to let those Snover steal any."

Next it was Happy, Kahakai, and Mistilteinn's turn to face the monster, with the smaller Mega Abomasnow sharpening his focus as well as the needles on his arm. The much bigger one saw the opportunity and slung a barrage of pine needles, its own unique way of using Razor Leaf. Kahakai looked to brace itself and Endure the attack, but Happy also Detected what was coming; with no way of knowing what Kai was doing, he took it upon himself to take the attack instead, yelping as the pine needles turned the Flareon into a pincushion. He looked to the Vaporeon with the needles still sticking out of him and asked, "Are you all right? I hope I blocked all of that attack for you. Oh yeah, Mist, now's your chance!" he said, giving the regular Mega Abomasnow some inspiration as well as a Helping Hand to empower his next attack. Mistilteinn and Kai both decided to attack the monster with Iron Tails, first Mistilteinn with his empowered attack, then Kai, both Steel attacks putting a lot of hurt on the monster. In return, it decided it had enough of their attacks, so it blew another Blizzard in their direction. Jayson's Gallade, however, not only deflected the attack using a Wide wall of stone to Guard everyone but also cast a very useful Disable spell to block the monster from using its Blizzard attack again for a while. Lucas's Slaking then decided to use a more unorthodox Skill that Swapped his Truant ability with the Gallade's Justified ability, which meant that the Slaking would be a much more powerful force that came with the risk of the Gallade being less effective; only time would tell if that would be a tradeoff worth doing... The next Pokemon Hyrem noticed was an odd blue and red construct that seemed to be made entirely of crystal- wait, is that actually crystal or something else? Regardless, it was a very unusual Pokemon, and it used some equally unusual strategies to mess with its stats as well as its typing, meaning it wasn't considered a threat just yet. What was considered a threat was the Slaking and Skarmory as they both used more type effective attacks to pummel the Mega Abomasnow with before the Mega Abomasnow fired off an Ice Beam that careened across the battlefield in a straight line. The Porygon was able to take the damage with its type changed to Water, but the Skarmory, having used so much energy in these powerful attacks, wasn't so lucky as she was unable to dodge and lost the rest of her health from the attack. Happy was limping his way to switch with Vi, but that meant he was also unable to dodge the polar ray, and streaks of ice stuck to his fur and matted it down slowing his pace even further. Vi ran up halfway to Happy, knelt down, and offered her hand as soon as the Flareon came close, and he put his paw on her hand, saying, "Go...go get 'em... Keep..Kai..safe..." Hyrem rushed up to Happy and was right there just as he slumped in his hands; he hadn't lost consciousness, but the damage he took left him quite exhausted, it was a good thing he Baton Passed to Vi when he did. Vi nodded at Happy's comments, saying, "I'll do what I can, but..." As she stands up, she clenches her fists before continuing. "I might be too busy giving the big guy a beatdown to do anything else!" Hyrem checked over his Flareon to make sure he was okay before looking to his Blaziken. "Okay, looks like we just lost one of our heavy hitters out there too, so we gotta pick up the slack! Are you ready!?" "BLAAAAAZE!!" she crowed loudly, her wrists igniting with flames. "Let's do this then! Use Bulk Up before getting in there with your strongest attacks: Brave Bird and Hi Jump Kick!" Vi tightened her muscles and prepared herself for battle before running in, hoping that as she fought the Incineroar would be in the fray as well. Happy at this point was busy slowly licking his fur to clean the ice off and plucking out the pine needles that were causing him pain and irritation. He would glance up at the battle on occasion, however, hoping that Kai's trainer had the sense to switch out the Vaporeon as well to keep her safe. *It's okay, buddy, you did what you could,* Hyrem's thought came to Happy's mind. *I saw it though: she had Endure ready to go, she was ready to take the attack and still stay in the fight without worrying about going down.* *But then she would've been one hit away from it!* Happy insisted. *I still think I was right to do what I did.* *Maybe you were, but who knows what she's going to think about that?* Happy couldn't think of any way to answer, and he looked at the two Eevee squirming in their trainer's arms, they must be worried sick about their mother and father! He couldn't watch them anymore and went back to slowly cleaning himself, that was all he could do now to try to give them any solace. Other Pokedex Entries: Spoiler: show

“I see… So we’ve gotta take that thing out!” Mio actually jumps slightly at the realization that Patches acutally understood what Mio was trying to get across. The one time she understands would of course be when Mio wasn’t able to make any actual sense of her words but she can’t be bothered to mind since it seems like things will get serious now. Patches blindly reaches into her bag as usual and throws the first ball she gets her hands on, revealing a very upset looking Sylveon named Momo. This weather, it’s absolutely terrible for someone as sensitive as him. Momo is in shock as the freezing winds feel like they are going right through him. Mio is frustrated, the one time Patches gets serious she has to send out the most useless Pokemon she has. Momo is refusing to budge and there is no time to convince him, so despite her confused state, Mio was once again going to have to act. Mio turned around and Growled at the Abomasnow before charging back into battle, this time with the intention of Mimicking that Abomasnow’s next powerful move then she will immediately give it a taste of its own medicine by sending that move right back at it.

The Abominable Snowdown A Cloud Garden Winter Campaign Kong the Slaking was feeling energized, and because of his new ability he was also feeling a strong sense of justice. After seeing the Avalanche that had happened near Delibird Ridge, there was no way he could just stay back and do nothing. With his trainer Lucas on his back, Kong began to use Rock Climb in order to quickly get to the top of all of that rubble. Once at the top, Athena didn’t notice their arrival because her attention was on a single Delibird who had separated from the group and had managed to get itself covered in some large chunks of ice. “You see, this is another good reason why you shouldn’t get so close to the edge!” She was scolding it, it seems that in her short time with the large group of Delibird’s she had managed to form something of a bond with them. Once Kong saw that the Delibird was in need of help, he charged in and began to use his Strength in order to remove the largest parts of the rubble so that the Delibird would be freed. “Oh, thank you for the help!” Athena smiled at Kong and gave him her thanks. Once the Delibird was freed, it was very grateful. So grateful that it knew it needed to repay this debt and immediately reached into its bag and pulled out a large Present wrapped in glittery paper, just the right size for a Pokemon as big as Kong. Kong took the gift, a bit touched at the gesture. “Oh no, wait don’t–!” Athena tried to warn him but it was too late, the Present popped open while in his hands and was immediately followed by a very large explosion. Meanwhile, down below there was still a very serious fight taking place. While many of the trainers were fighting the Mega Abomasnow, there was a small group of trainers who were still working together to eliminate the last of the Snover who were trying to keep the Abomasnow healthy. Spartacus the Scizor was standing by his trainer Jayson while he powered himself up with two back to back Swords Dances. Fortunately, nothing got in the way of him pulling them off since he had stayed out of the fight. Now that he was significantly powered up, it was time to get to work. Spartacus readied his Metal Claws and charged at one of the Snover who was still at full health and was happily giving Abomasnow nourishment. The Snover didn’t even get the chance to react before the move that was powered up even further with Technician completely took it from full health to zero in a split second. Spartacus felt pretty proud of his accomplishment, to the point where he had let his guard down and suddenly an Icy Punch smashed into him from a large fist thrown by the Abomasnow who wasn’t too happy about his helper being taken out. Spartacus is hit so hard he flies through the air and right into Éclair completely taking her down into the snow. Éclair the Mawile quickly gets up and doesn’t even take the time to brush the snow off of her before she continues on with the plan. She releases a Sweet Scent in hopes of attracting some of the final Snover. All three of the Snover that were left couldn’t resist the smell and began to uproot themselves because they were overwhelmed with the desire to find its source. Once they realized it was coming from an enemy Pokemon, they all began to raise their guard until suddenly, the Mawile began to cry with her Fake Tears. The three of them didn’t know what to do, they weren’t used to dealing with another Pokemon who was in such an emotional state so they all hesitate. While they're still flustered, Éclair wipes away her tears and gets serious once more, releasing a blinding Flash Cannon which goes through all three of them. Now they are weakened, and angry. One of the Snover smashes into Éclair with a Wood Hammer which almost completely takes her out, she only managed to hang on due to her resistance. Belial the Houndoom can see that Éclair is in need of help once again and smashes into that Snover with his Iron Tail. Then, the Snover next to him begins to enrage Belial with his Swagger, Belial is feeling a bit off mentally but he isn’t going to allow that Snover to get the last word in and gives him a taste of his Iron Tail as well! Then, since he’s still a bit enraged he goes to release his Smog on the remaining Snover but in his confusion, as he starts to release the Smog, instead of it reaching the enemy, he inhales the majority of it himself and begins choking on his own gaseous fumes. Elenchos the Inkay had noticed the final Snover that hadn’t been taken out just yet and began to make his way over there because he could see that he was needed. The Snover was ready though, too many tricks had already been played on it and it wasn’t about to allow anyone else to sneak up on it. It turned toward Elenchos and blew a strong Icy Wind in his direction. The gusts made him falter a bit, but he fought and kept pushing through, once he was close he released his Flamethrower on the Snover. The attack was weakened quite a bit but was still very damaging to the Snover, it could feel itself weakening as the attack went on but didn’t want to go out without a fight. The Snover began to play a Grass Whistle which managed to reach the Inkay’s ears, causing Elenchos to fall into the snow sound asleep at the exact moment that the final Snover was knocked out. With all of the Snover taken out, there were no longer any Pokemon aiding the Abomasnow, now all of the trainers could truly focus on taking out the biggest threat. |

Abomasnow’s rage was unyielding, and with each attack it took its anger grew. Patches of its fur were singed or cut by attacks, but it continued surrounding itself with more and more freezing cold air. Its angry cries resounded throughout the Cloud Garden, meant to intimidate its opponents.
After the Avalanche had fallen, the battlefield had become much more quiet. Rorik and other trainers watched on to see if Volg would emerge from the rubble and snow. Rorik enlisted his Starmie for help, and together they started a telepathic search for the Charizard. With a low rumble, a section of the rubble lit up like a flashlight and then exploded. Fire and rocks flew from the pile of snow and Blasted Abomasnow with Burning flames. Volg emerged, looking worse for the wear, but determined to deliver his powerful attack. Relief spread across the Charizard’s face as the attack hit Abomasnow and caused it to reel back in pain and surprise. Volg collapsed to the ground, exhausted and ready for a break. A Howl pierced the air as Alice directed Atsumu the Whismur to prepare to attack. Akame prepared herself as well by raising her Defense with the strength of Iron. Atsumu began to rush around and started yelling in an Uproar. This annoyed Abomasnow, and it began to Stomp the ground to try to get the Whismur to stop. Akame ran in as soon as Akame’s gigantic arm collided with the ground, slamming into it with Iron Head. Mio the Pikachu, despite being all turned around from Abomasnow’s Swagger, managed to join in with a Growl. Though Abomasnow was not intimidated by the small Mouse Pokemon, it recognized that she was another tiny nuisance it would have to deal with. Abomasnow quickly learned it could not hit such small targets with its huge limbs without making itself even more of a target. The spines on its body fluttered and thousands of Magical Leaves began to scatter and fly at Atsumu, Mio and Akame. Unable to get past the barrage of leaves, Akame took the hit and decided on her Revenge. She used her full strength to slice at Abomasnow and pierce its tough skin with one of her blades. Atsumu’s yelling mixed with a yell from Mega Abomasnow. A few leaves found their way into Atsumu's gaping mouth but the Whismur was able to dislodge them with his continued uproar and a few coughs. Mio tried to Mimic Abomasnow and utilize the sparkling leaves as her own. Leaves, sound, snow, and ice all swirled around Mio and added to her overwhelming confusion. Though she was able to gain control over the Magical Leaves, she ended up hitting herself with several of them instead of hitting her target. Mio was even more dizzy and looked to Patches and Momo with the indication that it might be time to change things up. The chaos on the other side of the field gave Hotstuff the chance to continue his attack from behind. He jumped up into the air and was able to slice an Aerial Ace up and down across Abomasnow’s back. The colossus was unable to reach behind itself or even move before the Charmeleon was crawling up the rest of the way to one of its shoulders. Hotstuff breathed a Flamethrower, singeing one of the eyebrow-like formations on Abomasnow’s face. Abomasnow shook its head, causing Hotstuff to struggle to stay on and use his second Flamethrower. The jet of flame ended up propelling the Charmeleon off of Abomasnow and down with a painful smack. Hotstuff worked on standing again, but the fall along with the freezing cold air took its toll on the Fire-type. Hotstuff was not able to stay conscious any longer and was knocked out. Sound and wind spiraled around the trainers and their Pokemon. Kimball felt overwhelmingly confused from everything going on as well as from the Abomasnow’s Swagger. The Vanillite floated around, teetering and dizzy. Luckily she was able to hear her trainer’s voice right before she smacked into a particularly large boulder. Though she was still rather confused, she nibbled at a piece of chocolate nearby and felt a bit better. It was enough to help her take a huge breath in and join in the Uproar Atsumu had already started. The Vanillite and Whismur cried out in unison, their sound-based attacks ringing in the ears of every Pokemon and human on the field. The barrage of sound caused some more rocks to tumble down the mountain and onto the battlefield. Abomasnow was pelted by a rather large boulder that had fallen down. With several small Pokemon running all around and on top of Abomasnow, things were only getting more and more chaotic. Abomasnow backed up a bit and increased its abilities with Growth, the ground rumbling as it took nutrients from the earth. |

The trainers had really done it now. The Mega Abomasnow was fed up with dealing with these pesky Pokemon, and the latest assault had really stung. The beastly creature meant business now, and to show it, it began Growing bigger and bigger as it prepared to unleash more powerful attacks than ever before. And then, as the Mist slowly dissipated from the trainers’ side of the battlefield, Abomasnow blew forth a harsh Icy Wind that chilled all Pokemon to the bone.
Freshly captured from Delibird Ridge just up the mountainside, Carmen the Delibird took in her surroundings as Hail trickled down from above and opened up the pouch-like appendage of her tail feathers. An array of colorful lights poured out, surrounding her vicinity with an Aurora Veil. She then blew a Frosty Breath at the Abomasnow before reaching into her tail once more and pulling out a glowing orb. Carmen tossed it over to Abomasnow, offering it as a Present upon contact, it exploded for very light damage. Abomasnow didn’t really seem to be too bothered by it, but swatted the Delibird away with enough power to Break a Brick, which caused the veil to dissipate as well. Squaring off against the Abomasnow next was a Sableye by the name of Ore as well as a Porygon named Glitch. Ore began to buff himself up as he Plotted Nasty thoughts of what to do to the Abomasnow. The Mega Abomasnow unleased a Powder Snow in the Sableye’s direction, but Glitch used its Agility to jump in front and take the attack with its resisted water typing. Glitch quickly began to run its Conversion program Version 2.0 once again, while Ore flashed a Ray of Confusion in Abomasnow’s direction. With its perception temporarily impaired, Abomasnow mixed up its opponents, firing an Ice Shard intended for Ore at Glitch instead. However, the attack bounced off of the Porygon for light damage as Glitch emerged with an icy sheen and immediately began to Recover its health. Abomasnow was then knocked back as Mistilteinn the other Mega Abomasnow crashed into it with a chop hard enough to Break Bricks. Mistilteinn then spat a vile, Toxic glob at Abomasnow, but its reflexes were fast, blowing its Frost Breath to freeze the poison midair and fall into the snow harmlessly. Ore followed up the attack with a Dazzling Gleam, distracting it while Vi the Blaziken began to Bulk Up. Mistilteinn suddenly began to glow a yellow-orange energy that swirled with a light purple aura before charging forward and slamming into the Abomasnow for a powerful Giga Impact. Abomasnow had seen enough of its smaller counterpart as it recoiled from the crushing hit. As Mistilteinn lay there in the snow, unable to move after the last attack, the icy behemoth began to glow light blue before smashing its fist into the cliff side. The mountain began to rumble, and rocks and ice quickly crashed down from above like an Avalanche. Mistilteinn, Ore, Glitch, and Vi were all hit by the attack, but only Mistilteinn was unable to crawl out of the wreckage. Unable to move, Mistilteinn reverted back to its normal form, knocked unconscious. As she brushed the snow off of her, Vi the Blaziken stared down the gargantuan Abomasnow before her. She suddenly began to glow blue and leapt forward, hitting the beast with a powerful Brave Bird. Abomasnow roared angrily and pulled its head back, bracing itself and raising its guard. This left it wide open as Vi Jumped High into the air before coming crashing down for a powerful Kick. The attack hit Abomasnow hard, but it was ready as it Bashed Vi with a crushing hit from its Skull. Vi winced as she was knocked backwards. It was now Keith’s time to shine as he stood beside Kyle the Heatmor. After feeding him an Aspear Berry to thaw out his frostbite, the trainer’s Z-Ring began to glow purple as he called out, “Acid Downpour!” Kyle was soon enveloped in a toxic energy as Keith held one arm out as if he was imitating a cauldron and pantomimed sprinkling an assortment of potions into it. Keith then crouched down onto his knee and held out his arms to the side spookily as Kyle began to channel that energy and unleash it onto a devastating attack. A toxic mist blew low across the ground as the Heatmor spat a shot of toxic gunk high into the air. Upon reaching the peak of its arc, the gunk exploded and a torrent of acid poured down from the sky and onto the Abomasnow. RAAAAAAARRGGGHHHHHHH!! it bellowed loudly in anguish, as its unsettling cry echoed off the mountainside. Abomasnow writhed in pain, bashing its head against the mountainside over and over, and the ground began to shake. A massive Avalanche tumbled down from above, as the Abomasnow covered itself in snow in an attempt to wash off the burning acid. Once the acid was mostly gone, Abomasnow shook the snow off and revealed a grotesque new appearance. Pieces of fur had melted off of it while other parts had turned sharp and black. Much of the fur and needles on its back had melted off of its spikes, making them look bigger and sharper than ever before. Its eyes were blood-red in a rage as it reached out with one arm and grabbed Kyle by the chest. With one quick motion, it slammed the Heatmor against the cliff, taking a deep breath. “SNOWWW!” it bellowed, breathing a Sheer Cold wind that shut down the Heatmor’s senses and rendered him unconscious instantly. Abomasnow was still seething as it threw Kyle’s unconscious body into the snow before his trainer’s feet. Abomasnow pounded on its chest and bellowed another deafening roar. It was beside itself with anger now; having set off a fury that would not be quelled easily. As Abomasnow thrashed about in the snow, it began to Grow even bigger than before, becoming stronger and scarier in the process. With its rage-fueled adrenaline now driving it forward, it was unlikely that status effects and psychological tactics would have much of an effect on it going forward. Time is running out in this story! It’s time to give this monster everything that you’ve got in order to quell its rage for good. There are two weeks remaining in this campaign, so make them count! Do not mind how the updates were grouped; we simply organized them that way so it would be easier to type. You are free to collaborate with people from the other updates. |

"Heatmor!" Kyle responded, though at that moment, Abomasnow brought down a big Avalanche... on itself! It was covering itself in snow to try and wash away the burning remnants of the powerful Z-Move. Keith tensed up... and soon, Abomasnow broke free, revealing itself to look far scarier now-patches of fur were melted away, the spikes on its back looked bigger and sharper, and to Keith's horror, the Ice/Grass-type picked up the Heatmor and slammed him against the cliff! "Kyle, use Flamethrower-" Keith began, but Kyle got no time to attack whatsoever. Abomasnow made damn sure of that by blasting the Heatmor with a point-blank Sheer Cold! "Mooooor..." groaned Kyle, totally knocked out, as Abomasnow threw the Heatmor down to Keith's feet. Keith was stunned- Abomasnow was able to take out one of his most reliable Pokémon with grim efficiency, and as much as the Acid Downpour had damaged it, it seemed to make it even more dangerous. Not that, mind you, this made Keith any less determined to overcome this formidable foe. "Kyle, come back now," Keith said, returning the Heatmor to his Level Ball. "You did great, buddy. Now take a good rest," Keith murmured, before reattaching the Level Ball to his belt. "So what now, hat man?" asked Vinny. "You want I should get in on this?" "Not just yet, Vinny," Keith shook his head. He produced a Poké Ball from his belt- just a regular Poké Ball this time- and clicked the button to enlarge it. "I want to give her a shot first. She's had experience taking on larger than average Pokémon- she took on that gigantic Magmortar in Mt. Aduro, and landed the finishing blow on Heatran. I think she's got this." And he threw the ball. "Helga, let's go!" And from the ball, there appeared in a flash of light a formidable Hariyama. She stomped the ground, looking up fearlessly at the startling Mega Abomasnow. "Hariiiiiyama!" she bellowed, looking quite ready for battle. "Let's do it, then, Helga!" grinned Keith. "Start with Power-Up Punch, then use Crossfire, and once you take an attack, let it taste your Revenge!" |

The sight of Keith's Heatran was something to behold, although Alice found it terrifying all the same (wasn't all of this, though?). Fire Pokemon were not something the trainer dealt with well, but one that could spew that much literal poison was scary as all hell. The state that the Z-move (which looked kind of goofy in real life... Bless) left Abomasnow in was probably going to be ingrained into a lifetime's worth of nightmares, and the playback of retaliation that followed. The giant smashed Heatran about like a frozen ragdoll, and Alice wasn't sure of what she would do if Atsumu was treated like that and dumped at her chilly feet. Behind her glasses, her blue eyes were teary, expression shocked. Keith seemed to handle it like a pro. How the fuck he managed that she couldn't fathom. It's not as if he seemed emotionally detached but... Shit, dude. The battle resumed - as if it had ever stopped - and the stakes felt higher than before. Alice deliberated returning Atsumu for another, but she had to believe he could hold his own, especially when he had only just got out into the fray. "Atsumu, use your disarming voice and strike with two shadow balls! Try to find vulnerable spots to hit him the hardest and keep him on his toes! Keep moving!" It was with intention to make him a harder target to strike, but also because she knew the mega was struggling with the littler soldiers.

Jayson released Sigurd from his Pokeball once more, the Gallade seemed to have overcome his fatigue, his ability having reset. "We have a situation on our hands Sigurd, should we execute the plan now?" The Gallade shook his head, assessing the changed situation, he proposed that they wait for an opportune moment. "Not just yet, Spartacus can hold his own for a little longer. I have taken a fair amount of damage, if I go back in too soon than I'm afraid I may fall short of goal." Jayson couldn't fault the Gallade's reasoning, digging into his bag he produced a Sitrus Berry which he properly hands to the Gallade. "Thank you, that will help but we must be cautious." "Of course", agreed Jayson, "let's have Spartacus continue for now, then we'll bring you in to finish the beast off." Cupping his hands around his mouth, Jayson shouts out to his Scizor. "Spartacus keep it up! Get into the air, Metal Claw the Abomasnow before retreating back towards us. Use a Swords Dance as you get close then once you're here we'll get you to Baton Pass to Sigurd." |

“Glitch, are you ok?” Mélina called out to it. The Porygon responded by continuing its little happy floaty dance. “Whew, ok,” she sighed in relief. “I got really worried with that Avalanche there! Thank goodness for your Conversion 2...!” “Now then,” she put back her game face on, “That Abomasnow is looking pret-ty berserk at the moment. He's so into it, I think debuffs and speed aren't gonna help us now… which goes fine by us, because we're done on that part. Time to execute an offensive plan! Sharpen up those vertices and edges of yours, then put them and your downloaded data into good, heavy metal use - slap it down twice with your Tail, Iron style! |

All three of them winced as the giant Abomasnow bellowed in pain and did its best to wipe most of the acid off. They winced again as it emerged, looking worse than it did before, and took its anger out on the source of the Z-Move. "Man. Keith should be grateful it didn't decide to go after him," Melissa muttered to her Pokémon. "But it doesn't look like status effects or stat changes will do much when it's rampaging around like that, so Ore, here's hoping you're fast." Ore chittered quietly, tapping his claws together in a rare display of nervousness. "Sucker Punch it, then Punishment and Foul Play." Assuming the first worked, it should give the others a chance to hit the Abomasnow, while Ore repositioned to make the most of the latter two attacks. Granted, the Abomasnow had boosted itself quite a bit, so Melissa was honestly bracing for Ore to get pummeled for taking advantage of that. Ore visibly took a deep breath before leaping back into the battle with Wildfire and Melissa silently wishing him luck.

"Okay, Carmen, let's try this again. Start off with another Present, and use the smoke of the explosion to mask you flying into the sky, followed by you taking off into the skies and use Aurora Veil to get as many allies as possible, land on a tree if you need to use it, but afterwards keep to the skies. Stay out of that Abomasnow's melee range and you should be fine." Bill crossed his fingers hoping that it didn't have any other tricks up its sleeve. Already that it had a Mega Stone, but it also had a TM-only move too? If Bill didn't know any better he'd say that there was some trainer in the background controlling the Abomasnow. The coal-black bird gave a smirk to the Abomasnow. It was a big brute, not at all smart or cunning. All she needed to do was find the perfect time to set up her present. The only thing that she wished was that her trainer had a flying TM of some sort, since Abomasnow is completely weak to those types of moves, but she needed to work with what she had. "Are you ok?" Athena asked, kneeling down to meet Eclair and look at what kind of state she was in. Eclair nodded, but winced. Athena retrieved the Mawile's Pokeball and returned her to rest. The downpour of acid had disfigured Abomasnow to the point that Athena felt a little bit bad for it. She knew it wasn't the proper time for sympathy, and she needed to keep helping out in order to take this thing down. The trainer pulled a Luxury Ball out of her bag and called out Choux. The Snubbull grumbled and tried to climb up Athena's leg as soon as he hit the snow. She pried him off and held him out in front of her, frowning. "If I give you a candy, will you help out just a little?" She bribed. Choux didn't look at her. "Fine, two candies." Choux's stubby little tail wagged a bit and Athena took that as him agreeing. She fished two Rare Candies out of her bag and let Choux eat one. "You can have the other after!" She chided as Choux whined. "Get in there with Close Combat, try to stay as close to the Abomasnow as you can so it can't hit you. Use Dazzling Gleam, and then you can try warming yourself up with Fire Fang." Choux whined again, but Athena dangled the remaining Rare Candy in front of him. He wouldn't like it, but the Snubbull figured he could make this quick. Choux grew to Lv. 12! |
