Can't wait to get this game! Seriously all I have to do is walk into the store and they hand me my copy for free (Pre-pay offs are fun).
Anyways, I'm finding Link has a decent range game. I find it easier for me to just shoot my projectiles when Edge guarding because I have shitty recovery.

I've had the game for like a week now and I still can't get over how good it looks. It's a massive accomplishment for the 3DS.

Just got the Demo (ofc) and I really like it. I'm a bit of a button masher and I've found that the controls can be difficult to use. Pikachu is okay, the nerf hurts it. Link is pretty amazing despite how much I don't like him. Villager is balls to the walls.

I also have the Demo and have been concentrating on Villager for the most part because man as unconventional as they are, they're super fun to play.

Over the five days of my experience with the demo I've found that a Lv. 9 Mario is a significantly tougher challenge for a player Villager in a one on one no items match than any other Lv. 9 character. Do other Villager players feel the same?
Cool things about Villager: Side Air: Incredibly useful. Has surprisingly high knockback for a slingshot and has netted me more than a few KOs. Up and Down Air: I'd say about a quarter of my KOs come from these. It randomly (might be wrong about that) picks between 1 and 3 turnips to club your opponent with. The down air meteor smashes if it hits correctly. Neutral Air: Haven't gotten the hang of this one yet. Neutral A: A combo of these should be finished with a quick side tilt or down tilt to set up combos. Side tilt: Great for keeping a bit of distance in close quarters. Blocks at least some projectiles. Down tilt: Really good setup move for combos. Has a bigger hitbox than you might think. Up tilt: Haven't really gotten the hang of this except when combined with down smash. Down smash: Effective when followed almost immediately by an up tilt, usually, since enemies will escape and jump up pretty quickly. Depends on enemy's damage level. I've yet to get a good feel for how fast they can escape being in the ground with respect to how much damage they have racked up. At really high percentages I can down smash and then just drop a bowling ball on their heads for a instaKO. Up smash: Hasn't gotten me as many KOs as I thought it would. A little difficult to use. I prefer Up Air right now. Forward smash: Really strong. Really slow. Starting to get the hang of dropping bowling balls off of ledges to finish recovering opponents below, but it's difficult to time correctly. Dash attack: <3 Awesome. Knocks opponents into the air so it's a good setup. The pot bounces forward on the ground but not always? Might be wrong about the not always part. Really good edgeguarder along with Side Aerial and Forward Smash. Trying to time tossing the pot off the edge can be hard but once you get it down it's really cool. Neutral B: Bro Side B: Really good horizontal recovery. I like jumping up and sending rockets through the air above an opponent before I engage with MELEE COMBAT to establish more control over the map, since it limits their ability to counter with aerial tactics. Down B: Bro Up B: ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS RECOVERY. You can basically traverse the entire vertical range of the map. You are slow and vulnerable to being popped, but that hasn't been a problem for me so far. Also, all grabs in general have much less hold time. If an enemy is below roughly 30-40% there isn't time to bash them even once after a grab before throwing. You just have to grab and immediately toss them.

A cool little thing with Villager I've found is using Side B while on the ground, not riding it, then chase it and short hop over it using your Dair when it connects. It pops them up slightly so they just run into your turnips. Useful for pressure and approach against campers.

Just got the demo. And what are even the controls. I can't find a how to play ANYWHERE. (Yeah, let's release a demo but not tell anyone the controls, that will work!) Howeber, despite that, everyone fears the Villager Umbrella and the Missile Oid. And of Villager gets the Beam Sword? Ahahahahahahahah EVERYONE DIES

Jigglypuff's sing attack can be switched for Hyper Voice, it knocks foes away from you and does a bit of damage.
If you switch customisation on, CPUs get randomly customised too. Also, this game really has me whimming for a villager themed Jigglypuff in PASBL.

As long as the Hyper Voice attack doesn't accidentally fuck me over by dropping me down all the way to the bottom instead of grabbing the nearest ledge, I'm ALL FOR IT.
