Had ta lol when I saw these at the store. $90 for a year old game + its $30 dlc. Such value (please do not look at literally every other goty re-releases sitting on nearby shelves)!! |

Isn't that just an Nintendo thing though? Nintendo hates to mark things down, and I imagine they must have some say on the pricing.

Nintendo "short prints" titles, after a certain point the only way to buy a game new is from a reseller. And for Pokemon, resellers always charge high prices due to the strong demand for homebrew and the like.
Sword and Shield is a different animal, though. It has the highest digital sales of any Pokemon title ever and is the first to get DLC. So Nintendo looks at in the same way Bethesda does Skyrim - something that should never drop in price provided they keep layering new content onto it.

No like, I'm fairly certain a lot of big digital switch games are also still $60.
