Wow, hi there! I bet Brittany is gonna love seeing you! First off, though, we need to get you registered, so just stay here while my Pokedex explains some things about you:

Seel, the Sea Lion Pokemon. Seel uses its sturdy horn to make a hole in the ice where it lives so it can dive underwater for food. It then uses that same hole to breathe out of when it feels low on air. Its horn is strong enough to make a path through an iceberg. With a layer of light blue fur and a blubbery thick hide, it commonly thrives in temperatures well below zero. It's movement above water is more limited, however, so it prefers travelling underwater where possible. This is furthered by Seel being more commonly spotted resting in shallow waters where it can move quickly after waking up, closing its nostrils before diving or swimming. It does get exhausted in warmer waters, preferring the colder, arctic waters over more tropic climates.

Oh, so you're another Pokemon who likes cooler areas? Well, unfortunately my place isn't very cold, but we have lots of underwater caves, that might be fun for you to visit! Anyway, here's a Pokeball (3/47) for you to stay in...Zoey!

Melissa watched wistfully as the last Pumpkasaur chose to go with the trainer who most accurately captured the evolution event. She was a relatively newer trainer, but she clearly had a good eye, in both senses of the word, so who was Melissa to envy her? The Pumpkasaur had chosen her itself and Melissa should just be glad to make it through this whole event without losing either of her Pokémon. Though...she did kind of regret letting Spirit toss the Nugget into the well. Maybe she'd try to pick another up when she and Ore finally went treasure hunting like she'd been promising him.

Turning to leave the Haunted Mansion's grounds, Melissa tucked her hands into her pockets and watched Spirit circle overhead. "Well. Managed to get through a Halloween without too much trauma this year, huh?"

Wildfire shrugged. "I dunno that I'd say previous Halloweens were particularly traumatizing, but we made it through." He glanced up at Spirit. "With a little recoloring."

"Fair," Melissa admitted. "I think the worst was probably Mar at Keith's Secret Base that one year, but otherwise, you're probably right."

Something rustled behind them and Melissa jolted, spinning around to see what had crept up on them. Wildfire leaped off her shoulder, flaring his flames as he hit the ground, and placed himself between the noise and his trainer. Spirit wheeled around and dove down to back Wildfire up.

"Show yourself," Wildfire barked, staring the vegetation down.

There was silence for another moment, the trio watching the bushes warily for the source of the noise to show itself, before a familiar shape peeked out of the leaves. Melissa blinked at it as Wildfire tentatively started to relax and Spirit spun around to land on Melissa's shoulder. The Pumpkasaur cautiously crept out of the bush and offered a "Pumpkasaur (Sorry if I scared you guys)" as it approached.

Wildfire let his fire go out and scratched the back of his head. "It's fine. But...why were you following us?"

"And why couldn't you have talked to us before, at the party?"

The Pumpkasaur looked embarrassed. "Pump pumpkasaur saur pumpka. Pumpkasaur pumpka pump pumpkasaur pumpka? (Well, I wasn't supposed to get caught then, but I messed up. And I guess...um, the other Pumpkasaur wasn't the only one who didn't want to evolve just yet?)"

Spirit quietly translated for Melissa and the three of them exchanged confused looks when the Pumpkasaur finished.

"Okay?" Wildfire offered. "What does that have to do with us, though?"

It laughed nervously. "Pumpkasaur pumpka? (I was actually hoping to join you guys?)"

"What?" Spirit hooted in surprise, while Wildfire looked like he wanted to facepalm.

"What?" Melissa parroted, glancing between her two Pokémon, because Spirit didn't translate that bit.

"They want to join us," Wildfire explained dryly.

"Oh." Melissa blinked and turned to the Pumpkasaur, who shot her a hopeful look. "I mean, if you want? I've got...a pretty big team at this point, so, y'know." She shrugged.

"Pumpka! (I don't mind!)" it hurriedly replied. "Pumpka pumpkasaur pumpka (I just...you looked like the kind of trainer I wouldn't mind following.)"

Spirit remembered to help translate that bit, so Melissa huffed a laugh and dug out a Premier Ball, crouching down to offer it to the Pumpkasaur. "Well, if you're sure."

"Pump ka! (I am!)" It nodded firmly and pressed the button without hesitation, getting sucked into the Ball in a flash of red. The Premier Ball rocked once in her hand and then stilled, clicking to indicate a successful capture.

"Well," Melissa said, straightening up and letting Wildfire clamber back up to her shoulder. "I think I'll call you...Jackal. For the jack-o'-lantern on your back."

Jackal rocked his Premier Ball in what she was taking as agreement as she turned for the exit once again. Wildfire shook his head in amazement. "What a way to end the event."

"I didn't expect that," Spirit said, ruffling her feather.

"Neither did I, but what a way to end it," Melissa mused, eyeing her newly-occupied Premier Ball. "What a way."

Hm, smells kind of sweet! Let's find out why...

Swirlix, the Cotton Candy Pokemon. Its main source of food is candy and other sugar-filled snacks, resulting in its own fur resembling the consistency of cotton candy. It can also spit out sticky, sugary threads to hold its target in place. If it hasn't eaten sugar in a while, it gets quite angry from its hunger of sweet foods.

Huh, that explains the sweet smell! All right, here's a Pokeball (4/47) while I find a new home for you!
