Yeah no. As a general rule of thumb, anything that tastes good is bad for you. Double that if it tastes sweet. There's no two ways around it, frankly. We've cultivated fruits to be sweeter and thus less healthy, in this example, so even "natural" fruit's ridiculously unhealthy.
So, you know. Either you munch on your asparagus all day long or you admit that life is, in fact, worth living.

I keep forgetting you're like 12 years old. This is quite untrue.

Not really. Our brains have evolved to mostly love fat and sweet things. And since said fat and sweet things made us so damn intelligent, we started cultivating most crops to taste better. AKA more fatty/sweet. Which made us more damn intelligent. It's a vicious cycle!
But yeah. There are plenty of exceptions, such as some vegetables, some meat, etc etc. However, fruit reaaaaaaallly isn't a good thing if you're trying to lose weight, which is basically the definition of "healthy" now anyway.

Fruit is probably not the best thing if you are trying to lose weight. But, if you are at your goal weight, with a balanced diet, fruit is a healthy food for the large amounts of water soluble vitamins it has, as well as various minerals.

Well, to finally answer the question, I drink regular, because I like the taste of good old sucrose more than aspartame.

Or you just have shit taste in food. Veggies are delicious, and you can't tell me meats cannot be good for you either. Basically, your logic is terrible.

Chill out with the hostility, folks.

Meats aren't good for you in high quantities, and it really depends on what you eat. I eat almost exclusively lean beef and chicken breast, which has the lowest fat content...then I go and cut off the fat when preparing it, and further cook off the fat. That just leaves me mostly with protein, which can also lead to weight gain. As a rule of thumb, what Rangeet pointed out is generally true. Tasty food = fat/sugar, which can be bad even in small quantities depending on diet and exercise routines.

Diet Coke > Flavored Diet Coke > Flavored Coke Zero > Coke Zero > Regular Coke
Qualifications: I consume a lot of Diet Coke. |

I don't notice any change in taste between Coke Zero and Diet Coke. Heck, I hardly see how they're supposed to be different.

I view Diet Coke as a completely different kind of soda compared to Coke. In many ways, Coke Zero is the diet version of regular Coke, not Diet Coke, which tastes completely different. I can't taste much difference between Coke Zero and regular Coke, whereas I can definitely taste the difference between Diet Coke and regular Coke/Coke Zero.

Also Doppel, because I went back and actually skimmed the thread, I am personally ok with the whole aspartame thing. 0 calories (or whatever) + myth about cancer (that I've never actually seen substantiated though my female friends insist is true) is better than 240 calories per soda. Add on to this the fact that I like Diet better, and it's a no brainer for me. I find it difficult to drink regular Coke at all, much less enjoy it.

All carbonated beverages are bad tasting, and bad for you. I choose the "neither" option.

Okay, you may have gotten me there with bad for you. Still doesn't excuse the "tastes like shit" part.

I don't really drink pop at all, and I hate all forms of what is considered the 'standard' pop, Coke.
However, when I do have pop, it's because I'm having my personal favorite, Root Beer. And lessening a treat just seems stupid. Thus, vote rounds up to regular. Also, loving the chemesty talk.

I think phoopes meant seltzer water tasted bad. From experience though, I've noticed older people tend to like it more. Not always, but most of my older friends who hated seltzer a few years ago now like it. Not sure why? Maybe metabolic changes.
