Here we go, double trade a go-go. I don't have much time so i'll be keeping this short and sweet ^^
With quite a vast amount of Pokémon in the world, it was only natural that Zak would end up with quite an extensive dream team. Every region held new wonders, usually of the avian variety and even the most common of birds were known to pique the trainer's interest. With this in mind, Zak ensured that he kept his Cable Club wishlist as up-to-date as he could so that his fellow trainer's could see just what he was whimming and how much cold hard candy he was willing to part with to get his hands on his dream partners. It was thanks to this wishlist and keeping an eye on the White Market noticeboards that Zak would be adding not one but two new members to his team. "Good evening ladies, I'm here to overload the system. This time I'll be making two trades consecutively." Zak awaited the approval of this from the staff members before continuing with his request. The look on their faces told him that this would take a while but they both nodded dutifully. "Okay, so first off, I will be sending out two rare candies for the user MarbleZone's Swanna. I've taken on so many new team members and her trainer has told me of her maternal nature, I think she will fit in perfectly." Zak realised he had began to ramble when his audience's eyes had glazed over. He didn't care, though, he was expanding his team further and the addition of a Swanna would be a welcome one. With that in mind, he placed the confections in the tray upon the counter before him. [Trading two rare candies for MarbleZone for his Swanna] "For my second trade, I'll be sending over my Wingull to the user DaveTheFishGuy's Pidove. Both of us believe that the other would have more time to spend raising them properly." He had hatched the Wingull several years previously and not given her the time she had deserved. Knowing that Dave had been wanting a Wingull for some time, Zak had passed on trading his candies for the offered Pidove and suggested his Wingull instead. "I wont make this a lengthy goodbye or anything, if you want to start the first trade?" The question had been a rhetorical one. Zak turned from the counter and removed Wingull's Pokéball from his trainer belt. He hadn't spent any time with the sea bird and he couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt as he gazed down at the sphere in his palm. Turning the Pokéball in his hand, he decided against releasing her for a goodbye. She was young and unfamiliar with him, he couldn't bare the thought of the two of them bonding at the last minute. Dave would take much better care of her and Zak knew that full well. With a squeeze of her Pokéball, the trainer smiled and turned back to the counter. "That'll be all, here's Wingull's Pokéball. I'll go and take a seat whilst I wait for the others to arrive." The process was started. It wasn't long before Zak's guilt had passed, he had two new friends arriving imminently and everybody involved would be happy. Now came the time to wait... - Is this really what you want dear? Cygna nodded without hesitation. Her whole life, since she was nothing but a small Ducklett, she'd dedicated her full attention and effort to her younger teammates, educating and helping them grow in wisdom where others raised them in strength. But now that she had nothing left to teach and was already an adult Swanna, she wanted something different - something the Fighting-Type expert couldn't provide, but someone else could. Zak was a Flying-Type fan, similar to Elite Five's Stark, and was quick to declare interest in Cygna. He was also the veteran trainer who'd traded Levin his Luxray, who the Saffron-native deliberately left at the Marble Garden. He smiled as he said his final goodbye to one of his most dependable partners, and reminisced about the time they spent together - from watching her play hide-and-seek with Boo and triggering his evolution, to the hours upon hours spent teaching Rook, to the climatic confrontation against Mediville's Gardevoir... But now it was her time, and he could think of nobody better to let Cygna truly spread her wings than the experience Zak. She'd be in capable hands. - I look forward to seeing you again and testing how much stronger you've become! We'll never forget you, but don't worry, the family's in good hands... Goodbye Cygna, and thank you for everything! Now go and have fun, it's your time now! --- Trading my Swanna with the stats below to Pearl's Perap for 2 Rare Candies. Please take good care of her! "But this guy..." he looked at the trainer he was meeting. "...he loves birds. He's much more experienced than me. Who can you learn from here? Susan still hates me, Sybil's more suited to the water, and Tepic just doesn't care. Zek has a Pidgeot. Can you imagine learning from a greater Flying-type? Because short of Ho-Oh itself, I'm not sure I can." This had caught the avian's interest, now eyeing the other trainer with fascination. "We had fun, but I really think this is the best for you. And I hear he's a big fan of your species. So what do you say? Are you ready to go with him, spread your wings and become a master of the air, just like you were supposed to be?" At this, the Pidove chirped, puffing his breast up and flapping his wings, looking twice the size he had done just seconds before. Dave grinned. "I won't forget you, little bird. Take care. I look forward to seeing you soar one day." He raised one hand, which the Pidove slapped with his open wing in a clumsy high-five, and recalled him to his PokéBall. He'd not told him what he was being traded for, he didn't need to think he was being replaced. Walking up to the trading machine, he saw that his contact was already waiting, and placed the orb on the plate. It was sucked up in a flash of light, and a second later was replaced by an identical sphere. Picking up, he nodded at the more experienced trainer one more time, before leaving the building. Once outside, he sighed, a weight off his shoulders, and tossed the device into the air. "Come on out, Wingull!" Energy poured from the PokéBall, forming into a shape similar to the Pokémon he'd just traded away. Only in this case both the beak and wings were longer, narrower, adapted for gliding on air currents rather than powering flight and plucking food from the sea and beachgoers. The Water-type squawked, hanging in the air with practised precision. Dave smiled. Despite being a fisherman, he was quite fond of the species, even though they were liable to steal his catch. Fortunately, his piscine Pokémon were either too big or too well-armed for this one to tackle. The avian looked around, somewhat puzzled. Dave had heard that Zek hadn't had a lot of time for her for one reason or another, which was why he'd agreed to trade her to him. "Hey there." he started, trying to calm the confused creature somewhat. "My name's Dave. Sorry about this, but Zek said he wasn't sure he'd be able to be the right trainer for you." The bird chirped, still looking unsure. "But I love Water-types. Most of them, anyway. Including your species. I've got plenty of Pokémon for your to socialise with." Wingull flitted closer before drifting back, still not entirely certain. "...I go fishing a lot and can provide a lot of bycatch for you." At this, the Water-type cawed loudly, drifting in to settle on his head. The fisherman rolled his eyes, smiling faintly. "That did the trick, huh? Welcome to the team, Glenda." His newest Pokémon chirped happily, staying atop his head with wings folded in as he headed back to where he was staying. --------------------- OOC: Trading my Lv. 3 Male Pidove with the below stats to PP for his Lv. 1 Female Wingull. This moment had been something he had dreamed of for a while. Almost at least. Unfezant had always appealed to the bird type trainer and Zak had already managed to secure himself a male Pidove. His next trade would bring him one step closer to his dream of a pair of pheasants. Having seen a posting on one of the White Market noticeboards, he knew he could not resist taking on the once paired birds at the same time to raise side by side. As he walked towards the Cable Club, the young man unclipped one of two recently acquired Pokéballs, disengaging it and emptying its contents into the air before him in a flash of light. The tiny pigeon hadn't realised he wasn't securely on the ground until he began to fall. Luckily, he managed to flap his little wings enough to regain himself and fly up and alongside his trainer. "We're going to be meeting your wife today." The Pidove's trainer chuckled as he spoke. The little bird did not appear to understand his words, cocking his head to one side in confusion. It was either that or just good old fashioned blissful ignorance. Whichever it was, it was not like it was true. The two may not even get along, but that is what time was going to tell Zak. "Do I get any sort of reward for such prolific trading?" Zak had used this comment as a way of greeting as he had pushed through the doors into the Cable Club. He was greeted by exactly the same staff as the previous times in recent weeks. The women appeared to like him well enough but they seemed bored by the monotonous of their daily task. "This little guy here is need of a mate, I'd like to send this rare candy to the Cable Club user Talon87 in exchange for his female Pidove." The trainer motioned a hand towards the tiny pigeon flapping his wings to keep up with his trainer. He was looking tired but he clearly heard the word 'Pidove'. He saw his trainer remove a neatly wrapped sweet from his pocket and place it on the table. In a flash, he had beat his wings enough to gain the altitude required to swoop on the rare candy. It was no use, though, the staff were nothing if not stringent and the elder of the women snatched the sweet before the bird could reach it. "Oi, that's not for you." Zak couldn't help but chuckle, the Pidove had heard his name and seen the candy, it was entirely understandable that he would think it could be his. The bird didn't seem best pleased, settling himself on the counter but away from his trainer. It was only when the receiving machine began to whir into life that he showed any interest at all. He probably didn't know what it was actually doing, but the big machine with all its flashing lights and dials must have been fascinating. One final judder and her Pokéball was there. "Now, be nice, don't forget that this Pidove is a lady. You can't go rough housing or anything." The trainer realised he was probably wrapping the latest Pokémon up in cotton wool a little. Pidove were a hardy species, adaptable to almost every environment. With this thought in mind, Zak released the second Pidove to become acquainted with her for himself. "Hello you. I'm Zak and I'm going to be your new trainer. Look who else I have with me..." The trainer spoke in reassuring tones until he reintroduced the two pigeon Pokémon and he could see these need not be adopted. The two had been brought back together for less than thirty seconds and they had already taken to flying around the Cable Club foyer together. Though they didn't say anything, the staff had began to duck from the boundless fliers and Zak knew it was time to hit the road. "Okay you two, time to get going." No response. The two were in a world of their own and this made the trainer smile from ear to ear. Maybe marriage was to be on the cards after all... The doors to the Cable Club swung open, and in walked a Pokémon Trainer who appeared to be in her mid-twenties. However, the confident smile on her face was just as much an illusion as the rest of her face. In reality, it was Helena, Keith's Shuppet, disguising herself as who she was when she was alive, in order to make a trade without Keith's knowledge. While it was true that this was not the first time she's done this, the circumstances were different this time. Last time, she had merely traded a Rare Candy for a Box of Chocolates in order to teach her Audino the Chocolate Bomb attack, and she had traded with someone who had never met her as a Shuppet. This time, a Pokémon was involved in the exchange, and she was also trading with Okiku, a friend of Keith's Helena had met at a party Keith had held at his Secret Base. So now Helena was nervous- Okiku had already met her as a Shuppet, so the possibility existed that Okiku might be able that her human appearance was a disguise. Might even recognize her voice, might piece it together that she just happens to have the same name as her brother's Shuppet. Which could complicate matters.
Following close behind was Joy, Helena's Audino. Well, technically Keith's Audino, though purely from a technical and legal standpoint, given that Joy was considered to be Helena's Pokémon by Keith and just about everyone on the team. The Audino knew her Trainer well, and even through the disguise, could tell that she was a little nervous about this. She looked up at Helena, giving her a reassuring smile, and Helena gave one back in return, this one more genuine. Feeling slightly better about the whole idea, Helena approached a trade machine at which Okiku had already arrived. "Okiku?" she said, holding her hand out for a handshake. "Helena Masters, we spoke on the phone. Thanks for agreeing to this- I had originally intended to hatch something to give to my brother, as today's his birthday, but I'm pretty sure Solrock's not his thing. He'll definitely appreciate a Rare Candy, though," she smiled. "Audino," Joy chimed in, nodding. "Oh, yes- this is Joy, my Audino," Helena smiled, gesturing to the Normal-type, who looked up and waved at Okiku. With that, Helena stepped over to her end of the trade machine and placed Solrock's Poké Ball on her end. The switch was thrown, and in a brilliant electrical flash, the ball was replaced with a single Rare Candy, which Helena scooped up. "Thank you," she said to Okiku. "Joy, we better get going, though," she added to the Audino. With that, Helena and Joy exited the Cable Club, and headed for the nearest dark alley so Helena could remove the illusion with no witnesses before returning home. Okiku arrived very quickly to the Cable Club, not only because she was already nearby (thanks from trading earlier) but also because she was excited to fill her Psychic team with a new member again. She received a call from a woman - Keith's sister - who recently hatched a Solrock, one which Okiku doesn't have yet. When the young woman showed up, she introduced herself as Helena Masters, and shook her hand. Okiku felt a bit strange in her grip, like if something was unnatural about her skin, pulse or something... but she shrugged it off as just not thinking straight or just being a bit nervous for meeting someone new. "Helena... that rings a bell..." she thought to herself aloud. "...Oh I know! That's the same name as your brother's Shuppet! Hehehe, awww, he must have named her after you! How sweet! Now that I think of it, she got a voice similar to yours; No wonder!" The poison master's sister then explained how she hatched the Solrock to be his birthday present, but since she had a feeling he wouldn't like it as much, she concluded it would be best to trade it for something else. "Yeah, I dunno as much as Keith as you, but I don't see him with one either!" "Audino," a pink Pokémon chimed in. Helena introduces her as Joy, her Audino, as she waved at the Psychic specialist. Okiku cutely flapped her fingers towards her, grinning and whispering a small hello. The trade went fairly quickly, and after the Pokéball was in her hand and Helena thanked her, she looked at it and smiled. "No, thank you! It'll be great within the team, a nice little spot of sunshine! I am sure that Ammy will live well!" Whiel still looking at the Pokéball though, she got that strange vibe which seemed to be emitting from Helena again. What is going on with this girl? Okiku turned her rhead to look at her, wanting to ask if something was wrong with her, or what... but Helena was already gone. "Heh, must be in a hurry. Anyways," looking at the time, "I'm in a hurry too!" Okiku slips Amateratsu's Pokéball into her backpack, and makes a run for it outside the Cable Club. --------------------- Trading 1 candy for MM's Lv.1 Solrock. Thanks a bunch! |

Keith entered the Cable Club, with Meowth seated on his shoulder as usual. Floating in beside his Trainer was Cadmium, Keith's Klink. None of them said a word as they approached a trade machine, all of them knowing this was for the best. Having so many Pokémon, Keith naturally couldn't train them all especially fast- he had to try and make sure to divide attention equally among his whole team. They might grow at a slower rate as a result, but at least they all got the individual attention they need. While most of his Pokémon were perfectly fine with this arrangement, it was simply too slow an arrangement for one of them- Cadmium.
The other day, a Trainer named Zak showed interest in Cadmium. While Keith initially had no intention of giving up his Klink, Cadmium had other ideas. It was a difficult decision to make, but ultimately, Keith knew he had to do what was best for his Pokémon. "Well, this is it, Cadmium," Keith sighed. "We're all gonna miss you." "Kliiiink," droned Cadmium. Though this trade was the Klink's idea in the first place, even it was feeling a little bad about having to leave Keith's team. "This is for the best," Keith said firmly. "And if you're ever in the area, you know you're free to come and visit anytime, you know that, right?" "Klink," clanked Cadmium as it reversed the direction of its minigears' rotation for a few seconds- the Klink equivalent of nodding. Then, it separated its minigears and gently squeezed Keith between them in what had to be the gentlest Vice Grip attack in history. Keith smiled at this, for he had a shrewd idea that this was Cadmium's way of trying to hug him. As the minigears meshed back together and started rotating again, Keith held up the Poké Ball. "Cadmium, return... and goodbye," he sighed as the ball pulled the Klink back inside. Once that was done, he placed the ball on the machine and pulled the switch, instantly replacing it with a Rare Candy. "Man," sighed Meowth. "I'm gonna miss Cadmium, da guy was pretty cool." "Yeah, me too," nodded Keith. OOC: Trading my level 3 Klink with the following stats to Pearl's Perap for 1 Rare Candy. Spoiler: show *Trade Commenced* Last edited by Missingno. "Hey ladies!" The familiar voice had piqued the attention of the Cable Club staff and they smiled in unison at the arrival of an all too familiar face. "I'm here for another acquisition. I'll be wanting to send this rare candy over to the user Missingno. Master in exchange for his Klink." As he spoke, the woman he was addressing gave him a somewhat confused look. It was no secret that Zak made a point of capturing and collecting bird Pokemon. Klink had to be the furthest thing from a bird possible. "I know, it's not what you might consider 'me' but I've always been intrigued by Klink. Not to mention my team is severely lacking a Steel type member." Zak put forward his argument, realising as he did so that he had no idea how he would communicate with a Pokémon made up of two constantly spinning gears. As he mulled over this potential barrier, a thought hit him in an instant. He had recently received another Pokémon native to Chargestone Cave: his Tynamo. Though the two had not had much chance to bond, he might be a good Pokémon to help him to greet his new recruit. "The Pokéball has arrived, Zak." The clerk's voice broke him away from his thoughts, he hadn't realised that the transfer had completed as he was dilly dallying over how best to greet the Klink. Before he took the Pokéball from her hand, the trainer disengaged a Pokéball at his hip and a tiny fry of a Pokémon materialised and hovered in the space between the two. As he bobbed in the air, the Tynamo released several sparks and shuddered, glad to be out and about. "Tyna... mo?" The EleFish looked up at his trainer and the clerk who had leaned across the counter to get a better view of the Tynamo and Klink's meeting. With the meeting party gathered, Zak pressed the button on the newly acquired container presented to him by the clerk. In a split second and a flash, the Klink floated before them. As it hung in the air, both minigears spun slowly. Not that Zak could ever truly tell, but it seemed as if it was getting a measure for its surroundings and the creatures stood before it. With information processed, Klink floats closer to Tynamo and begins to spin ever so slightly faster. "Seems like a good response to me..." Zak murmured, more to himself than to the Cable Club staff. Both of the Pokémon before him seem thoroughly intrigued with the other. It was probably a good idea to introduce him to the quiet Tynamo than to someone as large and in charge as Nancy. "Hey Klink. I'm going to be your new trainer. This here is Tynamo, he is one of my friends and hopefully will be one of yours too!" As he spoke, the Klink turned its minigears to both face their new trainer, at which point they begin to rotate counter clockwise. "Ty! Ty! Namooo!" The eel-like Pokémon crackled happily towards both Zak and Klink. Tynamo seemed to think the meeting was a success, there would be no denying that. With that in mind, Zak smiled at both of the Pokémon before returning the Tynamo to his Pokéball with a nod. "Okay Klink, let's get going, the world awaits!" With an arm motioning towards the door, the Pokémon rotated counter clockwise for three rotations and hovered gently towards their next destination. "Until next time, ladies!" the trainer waved as he followed the floating minigears out into the light. [Trading one rare candy to Missingo. Master for his Lvl 3 Klink with the above stats/moves.
