Introducing Yao, the Dazzling Surskit
”Okay guys, gather round! I’ve got a new friend to introduce!”
Curious about this new member to the team, Noriko’s Pokémon started making their way to the Garden of Noriko’s Base, sitting or floating in a circle around their trainer. Katherine was in the middle of her nap up in the tree, completely oblivious to what was going on – and prompting Kitty to get down and join in on the fun instead of waking up her sister. Noriko kneeled down and placed a Pokéball on the ground before opening it and letting a white light emerge from within it. A blue Surskit slowly opened his eyes and blinked twice, taking in the huge crowd staring at him with curiosity. Kek couldn’t hold himself back, running up with an extended arm – for a handshake, of course, but it sure didn’t look like that to the Surskit. A grinning Cacnea running at him with his needle-covered arms caused the Bug-type to take a few steps back and excrete his syrup from his cap. Kek stopped in his tracks, the grin fading as his new buddy seemed more scared of him than happy to meet him. Noriko opened her mouth to console the scared Surskit, to tell him Kek was just excited to meet him…when a pink flash passed her right shoulder. It took a few seconds for everyone present to realize that Katherine had woken up, smelled candy and promptly attached her mouth on Surskit’s cap. Surskit started sliding back and forth, trying to shake off the feline. “Help me! Get this thing off! Help!” Katherine didn’t seem to find anything wrong with her actions, hanging on tight and sucking out the syrup like she’d found a juice box on legs. Magnilda sighed and put her vines into action, pressing Surskit on the floor while Noriko grabbed Katherine. “Katherine, no! That’s your friend, not a snack!” The Skitty came off the cap with an audible pop, looking at her trainer in a confused manner. ”No snack? Then why’s it smell and taste so good?!” Katherine glared at Surskit, not liking the confusion this skating vending machine had caused. Noriko sighed and patted Surskit on the back. “As I was saying, this is your new team mate, Yao. He’s…delicate, so be nice to him, okay?” Yao slowly got back on his feet, quickly inching away from Katherine. Kat inched right after him, staring intently at his cap and the source of the sweet syrup. “Is she always like this?” Yao asked the rest of his new friends, seriously concerned for his health. “Yes,” sighed everyone in unison. A familiar pop sound could be heard as Kat jumped on Yao. Noriko rubbed her temples as Yao started screaming and skating again – it was going to be a long day. |
