Battle Round: Round 3

[center:5562e]Grey and Haruspex vs. Thed and Tsunami[/center:5562e]

We're back once again, for round three of our contest battle between Haruspex the Noctowl and Tsunami the Blastoise! As we left off last time, Haruspex had 155 C-HP remaining and had used up a great deal of energy while Tsunami remained with 115 C-HP but was feeling a lot better energy-wise as his Aqua Ring slowly recovered his energy. Anyways, attacks are in so lets get this show on the road!
Haruspex starts off by swooping into Tsunami, his wings glowing brightly, ready to Attack with his Wings, but the Blastoise quickly blows a fierce Blizzard, hitting Haruspex hard at close range for severe damage. Haruspex's C-HP drops by 45, gaining no boost from his own attack as even though it was pretty cool looking, it missed obviously. Tsunami then doubled up and his fist began to glow brightly, putting all his focus into a powerful Dynamicpunch which he threw at the Noctowl, but Haruspex quickly began to perform a Featherdance, spinning about in the air as down feathers confettied down, obstructing Tsunami's view and making Haruspex hard to hit, as the Blastoise's fist soared through the air and hit... air. Tsunami's C-HP was uneffected from the miss due to the coolness of his attack. Tsunami's Aqua Ring then restores his energy only slightly.
As this round comes to a close, Tsunami seems to have taken the clear advantage this time. Tsunami still has 115 C-HP but has used a very high amount of energy this round, from two very exhausting types of attacks. His Aqua Ring is helping, but he is using far more than he is recovering. His attack power is also lowered a good bit from the Featherdance. Haruspex used virtually no energy this round, but took a very heavy hit from the Blizzard, down to 110 C-HP left. He is chilled to the bone so if he doesn't try to warm up soon, his muscles might start cramping and locking up. Now to see if the arena changes...

Alright, looks like it's time for another arena!

Okay, attacks by Theddie then Dae please.

[center:5562e]Joe and Evie vs. Lee and Nuray[/center:5562e]

Going into round three now, let's take a quick look back at how Evie the Plusle and Nuray the Jolteon are doing. Evie has 160 C-HP remaining and is looking in good shape still, while Nuray has a high 195 C-HP remaining and has 4 clones to accompany him, but is currently blinded from Evie's flash. Now then, let's get on with the next round!
Evie starts and fires off a Thunder Wave at one of the Jolteons, and as she does so, Nuray sets up a Light Screen, false screens also setting up in front of the clones, the only true light screen is in front of the real Nuray. The Thunder Wave hits one of the Jolteons, but it seems to have no effect as the Jolteon's Volt Absorb ability comes to play. However, seeing as it appears to be just a clone, no energy was restored to Nuray. Evie then Sparks up and charges at that Jolteon as her commands told her, ramming into it. The clone might have been resistant to the electricity of the attack as previously mentioned, but the physical nature of the attack went right through the fake light screen and obliterated the clone. Evie's C-HP then went up by 10 from the coolness of both of her attacks.
As round three comes to a close, we face yet another boring round with little changes. Evie's C-HP has imporved to 170 but has used just a little energy. Nuray still has 195 C-HP and has three clones remaining. Howeverm he is also defended by a Light Screen now and his vision is slightly coming back to him. Now to see if the arena changes...

Nope, arena stays... Attacks by Lee then Joe please.

"Ok Haruspex, this darkness in the cave is your element so let's give Tsunami a blinding Flash to knock him off guard. Then, dive under the beam and use a low-cutting Wing Attack to strike hard while warming up simultaneously."

Battle Round: Round 4

Sorry for the lateness guys.

[center:ed3bd]Grey and Haruspex vs. Thed and Tsunami[/center:ed3bd]

Okie doke, as we left off last time, the arena changed yet again, this time to a cave setting! Haruspex is remaining with 110 C-HP and is pretty chilly, and Tsunami has 115 C-HP left and is panting somewhat. Now then, attacks are in, so lets get the show on the road!
Tsunami starts off by withdrawing into his shell and flies at Haruspex, Spinning Rapidly. The Noctowl begins to glow very brightly, letting off a powerful Flash, which lights up the whole cave. However, this only makes it easier for Tsunami who's already mid-flight to find his target, slamming into the Noctowl for 5 C-HP damage. The coolness also boosts Tsunami's C-HP bar by 5. Haruspex then rears up as his Wings begin to glow and he Attacks the Blastoise on the underbelly with them ad Tsunami comes back out of his shell, dealing 20 C-HP damage to Tsunami and recovering 5 for himself as well due to the coolness of the attack. Tsunami then tries to locate the Noctowl for an Ice Beam, but from the combination of the Rapid Spin and the Flash, is too dizzy and the light was just a bit too bright for him, and the beam sails through the air harmlessly. As missing so badly isn't very cool, 10 C-HP was then deducted from Tsunami's bar. The round finishes as Tsunami's Aqua Ring recovers a small portion of his energy.
Haruspex seems to have taken back the lead this round, remaining with 110 C-HP still. He seems to have warmed up slightly but is still pretty cold from that Blizzard, and the sheer force of having a Blastoise slamming into your chest might cause some bruising for him. Tsunami is now down to 90 C-HP and is a bit disoriented, half from dizziness and half from mild blindness. He used up a small bit of energy this round thanks to that Ice Beam, but isn't too much worse off from last round energy-wise. Now to see if the arena changes...

Arena stays... Attacks by Dae then Theddie please.

[center:ed3bd]Joe and Evie vs. Lee and Nuray[/center:ed3bd]

Joe has missed the DQ limit and is once again disqualified, big surprise. Lee and Nuray progress onto the final round!

"Ok Haruspex, we're doing a good job so let's keep it up. First off, let's try and confuse Tsunami even more with a powerful Supersponic. Then, use another firey Sky Attack to warm yourself up completely while dealing a powerful blow to the large cannon-turtle."

"Sorry bout' that Tsunami didn't think you would get dizzy from your own Rapid Spin... But, onward! Tsunami quickly dig underneath the ground and cover your ears. Rest for a little while to get rid of the dizzyness and blindness and when you feel the time is right pop out of the ground and use a Hydro Pump to soak Mr. Owl (How many licks does it take?)."

Battle Round: Round 5

Sorry Theddie, I must have misworded it... What I meant was from all the spinning, the light must have resembled like a strobe light to him, which made him a bit dizzy and blinded. Technically the Rapid Spin wasn't really what made him dizzy.

[center:1b894]Grey and Haruspex vs. Thed and Tsunami[/center:1b894]

Alright, we're back once again for the cool contest in this match between Haruspex the Noctowl and Tsunami the Blastoise as we get into round 5! As we left off last time, Haruspex had 110 C-HP remaining and was slightly chilled/bruised, while Tsunami had 90 C-HP left and was a bit dizzy/blind. It looks like attacks are in now though so let's get going!
Tsunami quickly Digs his way underground as Haruspex begins with a rather loud Supersonic, the waves echoing off the cave walls for extra intensity, which seems to barely confuse the Blastoise a bit more as he just manages to cover his ears in time, under ground. Both pokemons' C-HPs go down by 10 each for the usage of Smart moves. Haruspex then flies up into the air, charging up for his next attack while Tsunami rests up just a little bit. As the Blastoise then remerges from his hole in the ground, Haruspex swoops down at him with a powerful Sky Attack. As Tsunami comes back to the surface, he has recovered from his conditions just slightly, more his sight than his dizziness, as he wobbles around a bit, trying to keep his ground. However, seeing a glowing owl swooping down at him is good enough for his blurry vision, and he blasts a Hydro Pump at Haruspex, the blast just glancing the Noctowl, who slams into Tsunami for good damage. Haruspex's C-HP goes down by 40 but is raised by 10 for the coolness of his own attack, and Tsunami's goes down by 45 from the blast. The round finishes with Tsunami's Aqua Ring recovering a small bit of his energy.
Haruspex seems to have the advantage still during this round as his C-HP goes down to 70, while Tsunami's now rests at a critical 35. However, Haruspex has used a crazy amount of energy up to now, and is panting pretty hard, though he has warmed up from his chill now. He has about a fourth of his energy left. Tsunami has recovered a bit in both of his status conditions, but is a lot better off sight-wise than he is dizziness-wise. He too has used a bit of energy, but the rest and his Aqua Ring is starting to pay off, as he has about between a half and a third of his energy left. However, he's getting pretty low in health, and that might be the kicker. Now to see if the arena changes...

Battle Round: Round 6

[center:a67b7]Grey and Haruspex vs. Thed and Tsunami[/center:a67b7]

Things are looking pretty heated as we come back once more for the Cool Contest Battle Round, moving into round six of battling! As we left off last time, both pokemon were getting pretty worn down, Haruspex having 70 C-HP left and Tsunami with 35 left. As the commands come in, let's move this onto the action!
Tsunami starts the round off by blowing a powerful Blizzard, but his attack seems to have missed as Haruspex is nowhere to be seen. The Noctowl then reappears behind the Blastoise and Faint Attacks, dealing 15 damage to Tsunami's C-HP. Haruspex's C-HP goes down by 5 as well for the smartness of the attack. Tsunami spins around to blast Haruspex with a Hydro Pump, but is too slow, as Haruspex Air Slashes at him, dealing 30 C-HP damage, which is far too great for the Blastoise to bear. Tsunami grunts and closes his eyes as he falls backwards, landing on his shell, fainted.
Congratulations to Grey and Haruspex, you have progressed onto the final round! This was a great battle to ref, but unfortunately both of you could not make it... Better luck next time Thed, you did really well this battle!

Dae and Lee please hold on while I prepare the final round... It will be up shortly.

Re: Cool Contest Normal Rank: for the very FOURTH time

Stolen word for word from the last contest cause I'm a lazy bum xd

Alright folks, here we have it, the FINAL round of the fourth ever Cool Contest Hall Normal Rank Contest! We're down to two finalists now, and now is the time for them to battle it out, out-cool each other, and decide who is the Coolest of them all! On one hand we have Grey and Haruspex the Noctowl who defeated Thed and Tsunami the Blastoise in a close round two match, and on the other hand we have Lee and Nuray who easily won over Joe and Evie in a disqualification. The two contestants now face off at the base of the massive Battle Pillar before they will meet at the top! Suddenly before them, two pokemon Teleport into view, an Espeon and a Golduck, the judge's pokemon holding two parchments and Psychically send one over to each contestant. Upon closer look, the parchments include the rules for the final round, the mighty Battle Pillar:

Round Three: The Battle Pillar

The Battle pillar is a massive, 100 foot tall, pillar, 50 feet in diameter. In the Battle Pillar, there are two parts, the spiral stairway, and the platform on top. This round will be judging coolness for both of these parts.

The Spiral Staircase
In order to get to the battling on top of the Pillar, one must climb the Spiral Staircases first. There are two staircases positioned on opposite sides of the pillar and coil up the pillar to the top. This is essentially a race to the top, and will be judged in two different categories. The obvious way is who makes it to the top first and fastest. The other category is how cool one makes their way up to the top. This race will be judged in only one round, so make sure you are very clear on all possible attacks you would want to use to get there. A pokemon’s base speed is not completely necessary to win this race however, as any given thing can happen on these stairs. You may use up to as many moves as you want, but keep in mind that some attacks may require the user to stall for a moment to execute the attack, or that the pokemon might have trouble remembering if too many attacks are issued. Moves may be targeted at your foe, but keep in mind that they are on the opposite side of the pillar, so something like Tackle would be pointless. Try and be clever, like affecting the weather, or even giving the pillar a shake with an earthquake and see what happens. When you get to the top, however, the battle will begin immediately, so it wouldn’t be wise to waste too much energy. The way coolness will be judged here is using the C-HP system as in Round Two, but this time, one’s C-HP bar starts at zero, and extends to a limitless amount as cool moves will boost one’s C-HP. If one is using a water type pokemon, a clear tube filled with water can be used to replace a stair case and works like a backwards water slide that is filled completely to the top with water, the object being to swim to the top. The width of the stairs and the water tube if needed can be chosen by the trainer.

The Battle Platform
The moment both pokemon are at the top, the battle will commence. As stated before, the circular platform is 50 feet in diameter. The object of this portion of the Battle Pillar is to push your opponent off the edge in an ultimate sumo wrestling match. This match will last for ten rounds, like Round Two. Also like the staircase, the C-HP system carries on with the C-HP gained from the stairs, and if no winner is decided come ten rounds are over, the winner will be decided by who has more C-HP. Pulling off successful combos or using moves to make oneself look Cooler will result in a gain in C-HP, and only moves that cause the opponent to be afflicted with an abnormal status condition (like poison, paralysis, confusion, blindness, etc) will result in a loss of C-HP for the opponent. The use of Smart or Cute moves will also result in loss of your own C-HP, and Beauty and Tough moves may be used without penalty. For example, using Quick Attack on the opponent will not lower their C-HP, but raise your own if used in a Cool manner, and using Poisonpowder will cause BOTH of you to lose C-HP, you for using a Smart move, and the opponent for being afflicted with poison. Another thing to be careful for are trap panels that can cause almost anything, and will be decided by RNG. Things like trap flamethrowers and spark mats are among many different traps. Because Flying pokemon have a serious advantage here as well, they must not stay airborne for more than two rounds at a time, and must spend a round on the ground to compensate, else they be disqualified. If a flying pokemon is also pushed below the surface of the platform off the edge, they will also lose, regardless if they’re in good condition or not. Also, if a water pokemon needs, a series of intricate, maze-like canals will cross through the platform, so fish pokemon will be granted mobility. Just like the second round, there will be a 4 day DQ limit for the battle.

The two judge's pokemon patiently wait, the Espeon facing Grey and the Golduck facing Lee, telepathically indicating they they will escort the trainers to the top via Teleport once the trainers have issued commands to their pokemon. Meanwhile, two more of the judge's pokemon flutter down, a Tropius and a Ninjask, each with a video camera attached to them, as they will be broadcasting the race up on the big screens for the audience and judge alike at the top. So hurry up now, get those commands in and let's get this race started!

Side Note for Dae: Seeing as Haruspex can fly, he's not really as restricted to the staircase, but I do request that he at least tries to fly along the path of his given staircase for the fairness of the race.

Re: Cool Contest Normal Rank: for the very FOURTH time

I don't know if someone was suspossed to post first, but I'm going to go.

Amazed. Stunned. Elated. These were the emotions that raced through Grey as the battle ended and the supremely cool Blastoise, Tsunami, fell to the cave floor defeated. He almost couldn't believe it, but then again, he had had faith in Haruspex's abilities this entire time and was reaffirmed by their victory. Running over to congratulate his flying friend, Grey nearly tripped on the cave floor but managed to right himself without too much embarrassment. Now calm once again, Grey walked humbly over to greet his avian companion and congratulate him on the efforts of their battle. However, just as he utters the words "Congrats Haruspex!" they both glow an odd color as they are teleported to the next phase of the contest.

--------- --------- ---------

Suddenly appearing into a new location, Grey shook lightly on his feet as an enormous shadow began to consume his field of vision. Before him and Haruspex, along with another competitor Lee and his Jolteon, was a massive tower that dominated the playing field; but neigh, was in fact the field itself. Two shimmers in the air alerted the attentions of all present as two telekinetic pokemon teleported onto the field - a Golduck and an Espeon. Along with these two, a Tropius and a Ninjask zoomed into view hoisting cameras for all the audience to watch upon. These four pokemon, belonging to the Hall's Master himself, set about their various tasks as both Grey and Lee recieved their instructions for this phase of the contest. Reading over the rules and comprehending the guidelines, Grey turned to his nocturnal cohort and whispered his commands:

"Haruspex, obviously this part of the contest is actually a race. You have to fly as fast as you can up the path of the stairs while managing to look cool and avoid problems caused by Lee's Nuray. So, as stated, you must fly along the path of the staircase. You don't need to walk, but you can't just shoot up the shaft between the opposing sides. So, while you are zooming up the pillar, use a Flash to brighten up the area (and hopefully dazzle your opponent with a sudden influx of light as you pass). Then, help your speed and coolness by blazing up the flight of stairs with a Sky Attack. When you see the end of the staircase, reaching the top of the tower, I want you to use a Take Down, not on Nuray, but to propel youself across 'the finish line' and immediately into the next battle."

Hoping that Haruspex was feeling well rested before this next portion of the contest, Grey mumbled slightly in irritation at the prospect of watching from so far down on the ground. However, he felt confident in Haruspex's flying abilites and was sure that the battle to come would be awesome.

Re: Cool Contest Normal Rank: for the very FOURTH time

Good luck to you Dae, let's have ourselves a nice match.

Lee craned his neck and looked up the enormous structure looming before him. It was still pretty hard to grasp that he was here..in the finals. He didn't expect to come this far, what with Nuray's rather limited move pool and no contest stats..but against all odds, Nuray made it. Lee looked down beside him at his Jolteon, who seemed to be fairly nervous, just like his trainer. The trainer kneeled down beside his Pokemon and patted it reassuringly.
"Don't worry buddy, you've made it this far, so I'm sure you can do this too. It'll be hard, that's for sure, but I know you can do it." Lee looked over to Nuray's opponent - a Noctowl. This was both good and bad - good since Nuray's Electric type gave him the advantage over Haruspex' Flying type - but bad since it'd be hard to push the owl over the edge. Indeed, this was gonna be very challenging - they were gonna have to give their very best to win this.
But before the table, both contestants had to race up the Battle Pillar in the coolest way possible. Lee thought about this task carefully - Nuray's rather small movepool could again prove a problem here, but it'd work out - somehow.
"Ok, listen up, you have to make it to the top of the tower as fast as possible - but also as cool as possible. So we'll do a simple but effective combo hopefully: use Double Team first to create some clones of yourself, and then use Quick Attack to speed up the tower as swiftly as you can. That should do for now..let's see how this works out and what the final round holds in store for you."

Re: Cool Contest Normal Rank: for the very FOURTH time

Okay folks, here we have it, the final round of this Normal Rank Cool Contest! We will start off today with a race up the great Battle Pillar! Up on the very top, Grey and Lee have taken their places in their trainer's boxes, while them, the judge, and the audience all watch on the big screen as two cameras focus on Haruspex the Noctowl and Nuray the Jolteon at the very bottom of the tower. Now then, it's time to get this race started, so let's start the countdown, shall we? Three! Two! One! Go! The Judge's Aipom giggles furiously as he slams down on the horn, which signifies the start of the race.
Haruspex begins by lighting up a bright Flash, though it does add a cool effect as the owl glows brightly, it has no effect on the Jolteon, as Nuray is on the opposite side of the pillar. Nuray begins by creating four clones as he Double Teams, and 15 C-HP is added to his bar for the coolness. The race is then off, with a glowing Noctowl on one side and five Jolteons racing each other up the other side. Both pokemon seem neck-and-neck as they both speed up the tower, but then Haruspex slows down as he begins to charge up, glowing even brighter with a firey aura. Nuray then goes full throttle, bursting up the tower with a Quick Attack, going up at breakneck speeds, and 10 more C-HP is added on for his coolness. Haruspex then erupts with a huge burst of speed, using a Sky Attack to try and close the gap he created with Nuray, and 40 C-HP are added to his bar, from the dazzling coolness he's showing off as well. Haruspex then uses a Take Down to give himself one more final burst of speed to cross the finish line, flying out onto the top, but unfortunately for him, Nuray had just beat him by a mere second or two. It seems that the gap that was created between Nuray's Quick Attack and Haruspex's charging was too great, but was still exceedingly cool nonetheless.
Holding a mic in one hand, the judge comes down to the center of the pillar, in between Grey and Haruspex and Lee and Nuray. He waves to the audience and then motions at the two competitors. "And here we have it folks, Nuray made it to the top first, so a generous 40 C-HP are added to his bar! That leaves Haruspex with 40 Cool Points to start off with and Nuray 65 to begin with! Now then, are you guys ready to see one hell of a cool show?" The audience cheered loudly, and the C-HP bars on the big screen adjusted to show the right scores, the Tropius and Ninjask still hovering above with their cameras on the respective pokemon. The summit of the pillar was huge, and most of it was all open space for the battling. The audience and the Judge's box were located on one side, facing opposite to the big screen tv, all of which was enforced and reinforced strongly by all kinds of steel girders and such, so it was impossible in any way for any audience, or judge, or big screen to fall off the pillar, in case someone used an Earthquake or something of the like. The entire platform was covered in big 2 x 2 square foot tiles, but trainers should be wary, as they might contain a trap of some sort underneath, all of which will be determined by a RNG. Simply stepping on a tile might activate a trap, or a widespread attack that touches the ground might trigger some as well, so be careful.
The judge then turned back to the two contestants and spoke again, "Alright guys, are you ready now? let's get this battle started! It's time for some Cool!" The audience cheered once again. "And remember guys, you got 10 rounds to either push the other pokemon off the edge, or to defeat them, or else the winner goes to the pokemon with the most C-HP!" The is no need to worry about a pokemon getting seriously injured from being pushed off either, as the judge has a plethora of pokemon who are stilled in Teleporting, and will catch your pokemon if they fall. Taking a look at the two contestants, Haruspex seems to have used a bit of energy from that Sky Attack, but the judge's speech has given him a good deal of time to rest up most of it. He has stopped glowing as well. Nuray as rested up fully from his racing, and is still in the company of 4 Double Team clones, which all sit beside him. As the judge walks back to his box, he calls out, "Let the match begin!" and is followed by the audience's cheer once more. He then gets to his box where several of his pokemon look on as well, and presses a button which activates all the traps, so they are now pressure-sensative.
It is finally time to battle and to see who is the Coolest! This battle will be done via PMs for the fairness of secrecy, so you guys both got 4 days to PM me with your commands! Let's get this battle going!

Re: Cool Contest Normal Rank: for the very FOURTH time

Just a quick question: how many attacks are we allowed per round, 2 or 3?

Let's go with 2 and see how that works.

Alright folks, here it is, the final round! We've got Haruspex the Noctowl and his trainer Grey on one side and on the other side we've got Nuray the Jolteon and his trainer Lee! Haruspex starts off today with 40 C-HP on his bar and is just the slightest bit tired, while Nuray has 65 C-HP and has 4 clones to accompany him while he is not tired at all. Now then, the attacks are in, so let's get started!
Haruspex begins by quickly landing, and his eyes glow as he gets a Foresight of Nuray, dispersing the clones that Nuray had beside him. Haruspex's C-HP then goes down by 5 for the smartness of his attack. Nuray takes this opportunity to set up a Light Screen, which shines before him. Haruspex then quickly fires a barrage of Swift stars at Nuray, who retaliates by firing off a Thunderbolt. The two attacks collide, and with the defense of the Light Screen, no damage is done to either pokemon, the attacks cancelling each other out. Both pokemon's C-HP goes up by 10 for the coolness of their attacks.
As this round comes to a close, neither pokemon was injured in any way. Haruspex used just a little energy and now has 45 C-HP, while Nuray no longer has clones, but a Light Screen instead and has 75 C-HP. He has used up a bit of energy making the Light Screen and a little with the Thunderbolt, but not too much energy. Both pokemon are in good shape. Seeing as neither pokemon really had to move this round, no traps could have been set off. PMs please!

P.S. Gary, I just want to make sure that what I stated above is correct. We landed in round 1, take off in round 2, and have to land again by round 4, correct? If not, can you help me clarify please?

So sorry for he delay guys... exams then birthday then Thanksgiving vacation leads to a busy/lazy Gary. D: And Dae to answer your question, you're absolutely correct. Haruspex can spend up to 2 turns in the air at a time.

Okay, after somewhat of a delay, we're getting bac on track and continuing with the final round of this Cool Contest! As we left off last time, Haruspex had a total of 45 C-HP while Nuray finished with 75 C-HP and has a Light Screen set up before him. The attacks are now in, so let's get this show on the road!
Nuray starts off the round by charging at Haruspex, picking up speed as he goes. The Noctowl then begins to glow brightly once again as he Flashes the Jolteon. This blinds Nuray a good bit, but seeing as Haruspex hasn’t moved, Nuray has a good idea of where his target is and Aerial Aces into him for a good bit of damage. As a result, 15 C-HP are added to Nuray’s bar from the Coolness of the attack. Haruspex then takes to the skies and does a little aerial spin as his wings begin to glow, and the Noctowl maneuver’s around Nuray’s Light Screen, going in for a Wing Attack. Unfortunately Nuray is too blinded to see this coming and fires off a Thunder Wave instead and completely misses, as Haruspex has moved from the spot. Haruspex’s C-HP is then also increased by 15 from the Coolness of his attack.
As the second round comes to a close, both pokemon have taken light damage and used just a little bit of energy. Haruspex has a total of 60 C-HP now and is hovering just a few feet above the ground, while Nuray has a total of 90 C-HP and is a good bit blinded, while also having his Light Screen at full power still. PMs por favor! xd

I am so sorry for taking so long to get around to reffing, guys... I have no excuse other than I've been pretty preoccupied with school and stuff, but I feel awful for not reffing. Anyways, I'll try and make up for lost time and make my reffings speedier. Enjoy

As we return from a bit of a hiatus, let’s move onto round three of the Final Round of this Cool Contest! As we left off last time, Haruspex the Noctowl remained with 60 C-HP and Nuray the Jolteon had 90 C-HP and a Light Screen at full power, but was blinded a good bit. Anyway, the attacks are in so let’s get going already!
Haruspex flies overhead while Nuray speeds around in circles, creating four Double Team clones to surround him, the coolness boosting his C-HP by 5. Haruspex then seeks out a Jolteon and fires off an Air Slash at it, destroying just one of the clones. Seeing as Nuray simply sits and rests his eyes, Haruspex prepares a Sky Attack, glowing brightly before plummeting down on a Jolteon; yet another clone unfortunately for him. (RNG’d)
No damage was done to either pokemon this round, but Haruspex used up a bit of energy with that Sky Attack, and Nuray just a little bit as well with that Double Team. Haruspex has 60 C-HP still while Nuray now has 95 C-HP. Nuray is still a good bit blinded and now has 2 clones beside him as well as a still fully charged Light Screen. Now send me PMs please! (And since I think Dae’s still on vacation or something, I’ll wait a week or so since he had no warning this would come beforehand.)

Re: Cool Contest Normal Rank: for the very FOURTH time

Well, its been like a week since I last had access to UPN, but in any case, Dae has managed to PM me while Lee has not, so I'm not even gonna bother reffing. Unfortunately for the third time in a row I must end this contest with a disqualification, but lets just say Haruspex's Whirlwind (Which Dae had ordered) was enough to throw the unresponsive Nuray from the pilar where he was rescued by one of the judge's pokemon.

So without further ado, I take pleasure in awarding the fourth Cool Contest Normal Rank ribbon to Grey and Haruspex the Noctowl! Congratulations, you deserved it!

Re: Cool Contest Normal Rank: for the very FOURTH time

"Wow. I can't believe it Haruspex. You won!" Ecstatic over their victory, Grey happily accepted the ribbon and attached it proudly to the puffed up chest of his owl pokemon. "Well Haruspex, I guess that makes you the coolest smart guy on our team. Maybe we'll even conpete in the next level of the contest." Haruspex thrummed a hoot accordingly. "Thanks all and we'll be here next to to get us another badge!"

*now you can wrap this little guy up. Thanks Gary and it was a blast. Your contest was awesome!*
